Seneca Newham has reopened as a Covid Vaccine clinic. The process was fine tuned and ran even smoother than before. It was a very hot day today, the first of a couple with heat wave. The air conditioning might be on but not enough. It would have been uncomfortable for nurses and workers who stayed there the whole day.

Hopefully, Dean reads this. I am hearing during online sessions, lecturers / professors are not available for the entire duration of the classes the students have paid for. In some cases, I am hearing professors may not even teach the material. In some cases, professors teach about an hour for a three hour session saying it is Seneca's directive. Is someone from Dean's staff audting these online sessions? Students are handicapped as they have no access to call center or face to face appt to communicate their issues to seek help! Are others experiecing similar issues with online teaching? Can Dean's office set up a toll free # to address students concerns? e.g.: Students pay for 3 credit hours but professors teach for half the time saying Seneca allows them to teach only limited hours? So, is college taking money from students for 3 hours and paying professors only 1.5hrs? Any direct contact to Deans office?

Great School except one prof seemed to have it in for me She came off as racist but maybe she was just very particular and I was not her cup of Tea, in her marking. Had two separate classes with Her couldn't get better than a C+. in either one. brought my GPA down to 3.5

My wife and I went there to get our Moderna Booster Shot. North York Hospital staff along with Seneca College Staff and volunteers assisted us; they were very hospitable, and it was a seamless process.

Alumni of this school went here from 2014 to 2018, its a big beautiful school with lots of people and by far Newnham is the best campus Seneca has to offer. The professors care about you and you will meet people of all walks of life in your classroom. The school may feel big but is very communal with lots things to do and people to meet, education wise Seneca is up there with this other big schools, but really school is the same everywhere it is what you make it and how you use it after.

Went here for my 2nd dose of Covid vaccine. Nice folks with cheerful greetings. Site not as amenable to crowd flow as North York General Hospital. They omitted occasional chairs along the lineup path for handicapped folks. Unlike NYGH you need your own mask .... Whereas NYGH would NOT let you wear your own ... You had to switch to a fresh blue mask from them. All in all a good experience and many thanks to all the hard working folks who made it work.

Took some classes at the beginning of 2020 for the winter semester, before covid-19 moved everything online. The building itself was in desperate need of renovation; most of the washrooms were small, dirty and dark, with the absolute worst water pressure I have ever seen anywhere. If you must use a washroom, look for the ones near the elevator/staircase on any given floor. The classroom we were assigned was inadequate for the number of people enrolled - when everyone showed up, at least 2 people had to share their desk space, which was already very limited. Even though we were required to bring our own laptops, there were no outlets built into the desks, instead a class of more than 30 had to coordinate and share 2 wall outlets. The program itself was poorly designed, choosing to teach a software that was being phased out of industry, and stretching that material between 2 classes, where the more advanced class was bizarrely scheduled before the class teaching the more basics concepts (these classes were flipped later on in the semester, but still).

I do not recommend this college to anyone. I had such a hard time reaching out to the administrators and they only answer if they absolutely have to. The only thing they want is your money. The professors are not qualified to be teaching most of the courses, I guess they just want to fill out the spaces not caring for the quality of education being put out. George Brown is much much better in comparison.

Horribly rude staff nickel and dime you for everything. Misleading about charges they will charge you $25 to move the mirror when cleaning. During the COV19 outbreak when kids were asked to leave school a month early they want to charge people extra to stay through April when we've already paid for the year. Thanks GOD the summer semester is Online. Otherwise it would have been the usual mess. The campus is overpopulated, worse then a manufacturing line of production. People leave food everywhere, classes and the library are no exception. Sure, if you compare it with the environment in the cities of e.g. India, Bangladesh, etc., it looks much cleaner. So, if that is becoming the base standard - than it's ok I guess.

Website is slow, to the point it won't even load. The college services are still closed despite vaccinations and the rest of the city being open (to cheap out) Also, they don't often punish people for cheating. Even if the professor kicks them out, I've seen people talk their way out of zero marks many times in the administration and graduate without delay. Source: Graduate who dislikes cheaters and is kind of afraid that there are habitual cheaters now working on a professional engineering designation. <- All thanks to Seneca.

I was a student there decades ago and honestly, the place is competitive just like Humber College. I got my diploma there almost 20 years ago and am an alumni there. Alumni relations are absolute garbage and the education is good there.

A fairly big campus with lots of parking and a TTC bus stop at its door, right off the highway and easy to get to. Lots of courses to take that leads to great careers. Some great professors, staff and with some decent scholarship and financial support programs for those that need it and if it wasn't for the pandemic, would be bustling with people. During the pandemic, it seems to be a vaccination center setup in its gym. Quick tips. For those going here and take public transit. Waiting for the Express bus will save you some 15+ minutes on your trip if you're trying to get back to finch station. If you're driving. And this maybe against their rules, but you can often buy or sell your parking ticket and save some cash. If you're just coming into the lot, just look for someone leaving and offer to buy their ticket for half the cost or sell it to someone coming in if you're leaving.

It was absolutely amazing. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Areas were well marked so no confusion on where to go. After hearing a story from a friend that went today as a compromised, was told she was too young to get it. After endless phone calls on deaf ears, and several calls her daughter got to talk to someone. Minutes later they called her to say her shot was waiting. They are on their way as we speak. Sorry for the ramble. My visit was seamless.

Was finally eligible to receive the much talked about super serum... hold on that’s a movie/ tv show i watched. The Covid vaccine clinic hosted by North York General Hospital (NYGH) at the Newnham Campus was very well run. There is plenty of free parking out front and the gate keeper informs all patients to wait in the car until 15 minutes prior to appointment for sign in. There are 2 more security guards that confirm you are there for the vaccine and time reserved. Sign in is very fast, provide your health card and drivers licence and within 5 minutes of walk in, you are at the main gym that has the doctors providing the injection. They ask a few questions to ensure you have no underlying health issues before they administer the shot. You are then asked to wait 15 minutes to ensure no adverse reaction before you sign out with another friendly crew that confirms your health card, email and phone number for your digital confirmation and 2nd shot date/ time. The crew here is very friendly and professional. Looking forward to the next call up in 4 months time.
