This is truly not a place I would ever recommend to anyone. I'm currently still living there for a couple more months and I've had issues since the first day I moved in. Two of my friends were moving in and I had been emailing the building asking who my roommates were I was only told that it would be my friends and I. However the day we moved in there was some random girl in our apartment too. No one knew who she was and she spoke very little English. We went down to the front desk and asked, I brought up the fact that I had asked them who I would be living with and they said "you emailed us two weeks ago and this happened maybe three days ago we didn't have time to tell you". They apparently didn't have time in those three days to shoot me a quick email telling me we had a 4th roommate. I should've asked again. That's only the first issue we had. During the beginning of September I think it was, our ceiling started to leak turned out to be because of the people upstairs using their AC and all the building has done since then is tell them to keep their AC off and they've told us many times how they're coming to fix it within the week but then no one ever shows up. This is still going on. Also, on multiple occasions I have had someone parking in my parking spot when I get home at 6am and I had to keep contacting them telling them that there was someone there and that I couldn't park there however they basically did nothing about it. Over and over and over. I still get worried that maybe when I get home from work I won't be able to park in a parking spot that I pay for. This place is not run properly and if you just want a building to party in then this place is great, if not I would recommend do not live here. It's not worth the headaches it gives you in the end.

Ben

On multiple occasions my roommate, subtenant and I had problems with our one of our roommates stealing our personal belongings and food. When we met with management, our problems were met with a shoulder shrug. We’ve all submitted formal …

Garbage place! I already leave there. The manager never care about the residents. In summer the A/C fix 3 month! Unbelievable! And every time to see the manager they always yelling me! Never move here. You will get the meet many terrible things over there

Maninder Singh

Worst bulding in canada .. ac not working they still charge for it

Rob LeDrew

No parking available with a NEW building, poor planning. Now the road is filled up all the time slowing traffic and people even park in the neighboring parking lots. …

Most reviews on here are because they ask the tenants to for something in return. I asked for an extra night when moving out and they told me only if i write a good review. They also do contest for google review (i won 200$ but deleting it now) If you want a clean place to stay with good management its not here. Had cockroaches (10th floor) and they had to do routine cleans where you move all your stuff into a pile and leave the apartment for 5 hours which was a huge hassle and never fixed the issue. did have a nice view if you face the right way.

This place is awful! DO NOT LIVE HERE!!! Students party until early hours of the morning and management does not do anything to enforce quiet hours. In fact when I had asked management when the quiet hours began they informed me “that’s when the partying started” words cannot describe how horrid this place is. Do not waste your time and money.

Mariam Mesto

Love the place! It's new and worth the money. Very convenient as well and a great opportunity to meet new people and make friends. And this place is one of its kind compared to the accommodations around the college.

Grace Abbey

Collegeview commons deserves no stars because they are not responsive when being asked for help by tenants. The front desk people are students who dont know what to do. The room are infested with cockroaches. DO NOT LIVE HERE!

This place is 3 stars at best. Yes, it may look nice, have desirable amenities and have a good location, but you'll quickly find out it's not worth it. This place is full of misinformation within the staff and managers never seem to stick around. If you have a problem they'll keep passing you around and no one will actually deal with you. Our move in day was a nightmare and the apartment wasn't clean. We had to clean it ourselves (because no one wants to live in that mess) the cleaning crew never showed and we got no compensation for doing their work for them. Parking is an absolute nightmare and there isn't nearly enough. When you get a ticket in guest parking you have to talk to the third party that comes in and they'll also toss you around like you mean nothing. The shuttle service is down at least once a week and half your classes will be outside the time it runs anyways. Neighbors are loud and the walls are extremely thin. Elevators are broken every other week. It's not worth living here. The negatives out weigh the positives by so much and I will not be returning here for sure. DONT LIVE HERE. Attached are the photos of what we moved into ????

Where do I even start? - On move in day, we stood in line to get our keys for three hours. Finally got to the front of the line and our keys had not even been cut. - Our room had not been cleaned before moving in - piles of garbage, old food, and broken dishes remained from the previous tenants - We had a meeting with management afterwards who promised compensation (as we did the cleaners job for them) - compensation was never received - It is almost guaranteed that you will not get a parking spot - significantly insufficient space - If you want guests over, I promise they will also not have a parking spot, as there is not enough spots for guests either - The shuttle service is down more than it is running - not to mention the driver runs red lights, doesn't stop at stop signs, and texts and drives - Communication between the management within this building is very poor - everyone will tell you something different - Air flow (specifically heat) does not flow evenly throughout the entire apartment - some rooms are super hot and some are cold

I just signed a lease for a year and no one told me about the insect infestation they had. No one has gotten back to me about it and now we have to pay for the electric. but we have to keep the lights on so the american roaches don't mate or come out at night. Tried to get help but still no messages or notice. Also not my mess but my roommates and I can't sleep at night so I'm losing class time due to this. To sum it up, I was lied to, forced to pay hydro, Now can't sleep due to the number of them. Also I've reported this twice and still nothing.

Collegeview Commons is located at 200 Old Carriage in Kitchener, Ontario. The location is great for students who attend Conestoga College's Doon or Cambridge campuses. The bus route is right at the front of the place. Many shopping places are nearby and very convenient to reach. The design and layout of the building is good and welcoming. The only problem I could see is the parking as there are too many of them while the space seems to be less than needed. I also would like it more if they keep the great condition and cleanliness that I see improving.

Night mare experience with crazy fob Well , as a bus rider, we hate things go wrong in the last minute when you are catching the bus. May11, I was on morning shift of 9 am, should catch the route of 8:14, however the fob didn’t work . This is the first time, they helped reactivated it . May 27 , again , the fob went crazy, worked for nothing, headed to the front desk , reactivated it , but it turned out only didn’t like my unit . I kept up and down for 3 trips, she still couldn’t tackle the problem, and replied, “ today is Sunday ,come back tomorrow 9-5, manager would give you a new fob. “ Well , I rushed to the front desk next day around 4 when I just came back from work, was told manager was in the meeting , had to come back the other day. Funny thing was , fob worked automatically. Anyway, I didn’t wanna make any trouble, so still kept the crazy fob. Until this Wednesday (June 20), damn fob didn’t work again, I totally lost my word, they fixed it, reset everything, however, I did have a feeling some thing is wrong with the fob, they said manager would give a new one. Thursday , fob went wrong again, she said manager already reset everything it should work now. No way , I could not accept this solution, I insisted on talking to the manager and getting a new fob , he went through my info , I am a subletter, “ you pay the rent to her , you are her tenant “ “ the front desk doesn’t pass the massage to me , so I don’t know your situation “ , I was like , even I pay her rent , you still get the rent from her, we don’t owe you anything. Besides I don’t think there is anything wrong of front desk, they are trying to help me . Anyway, for god’s sake, finally I got a “new “ fob. The following must be a joke , yesterday (Friday) morning, fob went crazy as usual! Ran to the front(I was on my way to morning shift), well even the stuff recognized me, knew it was fob, alright reset again, what else they can do. I swear I always separate the fob with my phone or anything magnet related, any one may have some idea what’s going on?

College view commons is a great place to live for students! They have lots of fun events for tenants such as bingo nights, bbqs, contests, and many more. I love that you have your own laundry and nice spacious rooms. There is also a gym and game room where you can play games like pool and ping pong. Staff are so kind and friendly! I would recommend this place to any students who need a place to live!

yukti makalikal

I have been living here since 2 months now and I have not faced any single issue, recently they arranged a free plumbing service for every apartment, they communicate important announcements through Emails and there are also reminders for the same. There are sufficient study and meeting rooms for the students and for entertainment they arrange match premiers with free food in the theatre which is free for all. There is also a Gym in the basement and games room. College view commons also arranges short trips to near by places on holidays. In addition they provide free shuttle service to college and grocery stores. It is the best place to live in Kitchener. Highly Recommended.

Overpriced upper deck parking, can't park on the side of the road without getting bylaw tickets. They charge you an additional fee just to PAY YOUR RENT. Hydro company is horrible and charges you excessively. I moved out in April and was told my room was highly sought after, therefore my lease would be ended early because they rented out the room. NOPE. It is now August and they never found a new tenant, so my lease finally expires. If for some reason you choose to live here, never sign a 12 month lease. You'll learn quick it's a disaster. Constant late night parties so good luck getting sleep, Security doesn't do anything, covid protocols aren't enforced, if you order something online the likely situation is it'll get stolen if the delivery person leaves it in the lobby, there's exterminators in the building multiple times a week due to roaches or bed bugs, building fire alarms feel like a daily occurence some weeks. Worst of all: At the end of winter when the hot weather comes, you won't have AC for 1-2 months so you'll be living in a sauna. Also heard of underground parking having a lot of break ins!

Nishan Sidhu

Worst management i have ever seen. Manager don’t even know how to behave with tenants.

George B

The rooms are great, apartment is great but there are so many flaws that can potentially ruin your experience here. Parking is a nightmare for new move-ins and visitors as well. There are higher chances of you not getting a parking spot …

anuj gaba

Horrible management.. does not cope with you after you move in. I was stuck with a bad roommate for 4 months because initially they didn’t care about my roommate preference and later about all the troubles. My room was changed after 4 months. Also they give false move in dates just to get you to sign the lease. Rooms are good though.

Vidya Janardhanan

If there was an option I wouldn’t even put in a star, DMS management gave me wrong information over the phone and were rude despite their mistake. I was a tenant when it was owned by Drewlo holding and I have had a great experience but now sadly it’s no more the same.

I was skeptical about leaving my home country to come and study in Canada. I wasn’t sure if I would be able to adjust to the change in culture and new people. After coming here I looked around several accommodations in and around Kitchener from houses to apartments. Then one of my friends recommended me Collegeview commons, I wasn’t too keen at the beginning as the idea of living in a shared accommodation wasn’t my cup of tea. However, I took this gamble, as the apartments itself looked really maintained and the rooms were fairly spacious compared to other accommodations. On my day of arrival, the staff working at the front desk were generous enough to help me move belongings into my room. I was given a tour of the building, I couldn’t believe the perks that were given to the residents living here, some of which included Free 24 hour Gym, Movie theatre, which would be booked prior, games room etc. One of my biggest fear was living with random people, however, I can truly say that I love my housemates. I could not have possibly asked for a better bunch of people, everyone is really supportive towards each other. Within 3 months of moving here, I managed to get myself a job at the front desk, now I help the newcomers from finding the right room to helping them settling in at Collegeview commons. I can really say it’s one of the most satisfying jobs, I have ever done. Collegeview commons has made this new journey in my life much smoother than I ever anticipated. I would recommend Collegeview Commons to everyone currently or in the future looking for an accommodation. Trust me it’s worth a shot!

I wish i could give it 0 stars. They moved us in knowing they have a roach problem, they send exterminators every week but nothing changes. The managers are rude and unhelpful. i moved into my room and there was no bed, apparently they ran out of double beds and gave me 2 single beds, took a while for me to get used to the gap in the middle. This place is trash and im glad im leaving. Edit - This place evidently doesnt care about our safety in the slightest. I went to work and left my keys in my flat and my flatmate left and locked the door. I waited for over an hour for the security guard to show up only to find out she was just clocking in!! meaning we had no security for however long. Also while waiting we tried calling the building emergency numbers placed on the office door, and none of them work!! meaning if i had a real emergency i wouldve been done for

Decent selling points: good location, ammenities, fully furnished, etc. However, poorly run and trained staff. Lots of miscommunication; most notices are printed out and posted in the elevator (it's 2018, digital man. why waste paper) and the staff does not handle noise complaints well. More of a fend for yourself type of apartment. Wouldn't recommend for extended stay. edit re comment below: I reached out to staff numerous times during my stay to no avail. beware of inconsistent pricing as well (my roommate paid more than i did for the same size room)

Anyone writing good reviews about this place most likely work for Collegeview. There's nothing good that can be said.

Xénos Polemistí̱s

Where to start? Lots of rowdy college kids. On the weekends its a mess. Overly intoxicated, yelling matches, fights, throwing glass bottles, cigarette butts, and other objects over the balcony onto the sidewalks, streets, and parking lot below. Seems like the fire alarms go off every week because of some idiot smoking inside/on balcony, which sets all the alarms off. Limited parking, only enough to accommodate maybe 20% of the buildings population. Visitor parking limited to a few spots, allowed to park there for up to 3 days, so it's hard to get overnight parking for a visitor. Street parking is limited to 3 hours, ticket cop always in the area. Sticky elevators on the weekends from spilled containers and/or barf. Company does not seem to care about evicting tenants, the preferred policy seems to be handing out fines, for generating more cash. Gym isn't very well stocked, often equipment in use during afternoon/evening. On a positive note, staff seems nice, decent walking distance to local bar and takeout joints, bank, college, plentiful study rooms.

Great place to live! Been here for almost a year now and havent had any problems. Staff are amazing and very helpful! Love the space and utilities!

Gurtej Singh

Love this place. Been living here since August 2017, will probably live some more time as I am all by myself, therefore living here makes more sense. So far, no issues from the staff/management. The person living next to my room was creating gigantic mess(pictures below) in every part of the apartment that he went to. Sent an email to the management, 'Michelle and Nikita' offered the resolution the very next day(as far as I remember). Thanks!!

Kuldeep

Worst management i have ever seen. Manager don’t even know how to behave. Disgusting manager ????????

Akumagba Irene

Good place to live in, at least so far. They just don't respond to their request for maintenance and it sucks

Jarrett H.

Do not come here until covid is over. Contact tracing is in force, even if you're just dropping something off. Steer clear and if you live here, I strongly recommend moving.

Duke Coady

Worst place I’ve ever lived in. Many cockroaches, and other little critters that get in your bed & food. The management is even worse than the building, they don’t care about the tenants at all. So expensive for such a dive of an apartment.

Tianzuo W

As a student, I am not recommend you to stay here. May be it will change in the future. But now, I am not recommend you to live here. Most of time, my friends and I think some staffs are unfriendly. They process somethings have a low …

Bazinga 001

Moved-in when it was under Drewlo, everything was fine, the staff was responsible. DMS bought the building and now the Management in the building is the worst Management ever. Specially the new managers, most lazy and incompetent managers Collegeview Commons ever had. There are some tenants with more sense of responsibility and sense of right and wrong than these managers.

Ryan Feltham

I've lived here for 5 years now. I have lived under two different managing companies during my tenancy here. Both companies have been really good. Your experience here all boils down to the relationships you have with your roommates and management. Good relationships = great experiences here!

Shell Somani

I would.not recommend anyone to live here. Rent is too expensive and not worth it at all. I pay $110 a month for underground parking and my car got stolen, they did not take any responsibility or helped in any way. Their cameras are not working they have random people walking in the units who don’t even live here. To all new students please do not consider this building its a rip off.

Nicholas Smith

Absolutely the worst student living experience for Conestoga college. The staff are lazy and don't know how to help you. Rooms have bugs and are very expensive. Would not recommend.

Leon

poor management, noisy, dirty and smelly common areas, ZERO parking, poor amenities. $$$ prioritized over the well-being of tenants. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere, seriously. edit: the management is replying to reviews, acting like they actually care about their tenants. This is a pathetic attempt to display competent customer service

Anmol Garg

The manager is worst she doesn’t know how to speak or talk with person how rude she use to speak she need to be replaced

Snehal Sonawane

The new building management is really amazing, and prompt response to all the complaints. Love it!!

Steve Kagne

This will be my first time to leave a review here but This place was loving when the building was newly built with the previous management. Lived here for 5 years This new management is just looking for news ways to attract more people giving less service. Looking fo anyway given to them by the law to charge you more. If you are planning to leave here thinks twice because it will a 8 or 12 months you will regret living there.

Aaron M.

I have lived in the commons for ~2 years. When the building was owned by Drewlo, it was run very well and all matters regarding maintenance/other issues were dealt with well. Now, under new management, it has become horrendous. I have had 4 different maintenance requests regarding safety hazards in and out of my unit that have yet to be resolved. Communication from the management is next to none. They will not email you with updates, or to confirm that your request is being looked after. Additionally any requests or follow up emails are met with silence. You must take photographic evidence of every document you sign with this place, and confirm that the manager has signed the document as well or the staff will not validate your parking or lease price and instead charge you a higher rate. They tend to consistently lose their own copies of the mentioned documents, and rely on you to have the proper documentation. The front staff desk is incredibly unhelpful, and make empty promises that they will follow up with the matter or get in touch with the right people. This entire building has been a huge let down, and if possible I would rate it 0 stars. I am leaving this message as warning to all other future tenants: AVOID THIS COMPLEX!

Mindfulness Compassion

Building is good and staff are nice as long as it does not have anything to do with money. As soon as they mess up rent and end up overcharging you, they need a couple weeks to figure out what happened to return you the money or even email you back, but had no problem overcharging you in the first place. Don't apply for automatic payments the finance department does not communicate with the building.

William Loo

Parking and management is a mess. I've worked front desk before, and some of these students who work reception don't even know how to do, let alone what to do when faced with a common task. Upper management needs proper training on communication with tenants, with regards on how to respond in a timely manner (when I say timely manner, I mean within a few days at most, not weeks).

Connor Stevenson

The apartments themselves aren't too bad if you have good roomates but the company that handles the hydro gouge you so bad! You'll pay more in fees then in hydro costs most months and since there is no way to tell who is using the hydro, you will be paying for your roomates hydro.

After 24 hours of flying, I got to Collegeview at 11PM. I was feeling so many things: exhausted, anxious, nervous, excited, and of course, scared. I was seventeen and all by myself in a foreign country, halfway across the world from home. But as soon as I walked in, I felt so relieved and reassured because of how nice and welcoming the staff was to me. They offered me a bottle of water; they walked me through every single step in the moving process. They even helped me bring my suitcases up to my unit. After that, it was all smooth sailing. I ended up with the best roommates ever and we would later become very good friends. As far as the room and amenities go, there is no competition in the area. Overall, what I love about this place is the culture. It's young, it's friendly, it's inclusive. It's everything I expected the Great White North to be. My experience in Canada has been amazing - thanks to Collegeview Commons.

Akki 123

Very poor management, she don't know how to talk she got no brains. don't rent a room here. Take it as a advice

Laura Connor

The team at Collegeview is amazing, last week my mom called and spoke to the manager Michele; she was so helpful answered all of our questions and arranged for us to see the building, on the weekend we met with Nikita she was so nice; I was worried about leaving home, but not now; Collegeview Commons already feels like home and I haven't even signed a lease yet... now I'm excited to start the next phase of my life, living on my own and going to college.

Manan Sachdeva

Worst ever place to live. Very very awful staff and management. They just sit and collect their paycheques for doing nothing and even worsening the situation for their tenants. They’re not at all helpful. Worst place ever and over expensive. The previous rates and MANAGEMENT was way too good!!

Nick Baldazzi

The rooms are beautiful and the building environment/ atmosphere is incredible. The building manager and the staff are extremely helpful, kind and approachable. Can't wait to live here for another year.

Liam Hessian

Scammed for $147 because a person left a couch in the room 3 years ago. Never got any deposit back form wysemeter the scam of an electric company. Not to mention the absolute price gouge they force upon us. Want to argue any of the scams lmao, good luck with that when they threaten to involve collector agencies to destroy your credit. They prey on foreign students who do not know any better and gouging them with absurd extra fees. I wish the government would hold businesses like these accountable for their actions.

Koda Lo

0 stars. This place is horrendous. Please do not come here to give a horrible mismanaged company money. The front desk is run by children who give out misinformation and if there are any issues such as noise or security or anything important, expect them to do absolutely nothing. If you are a student, live on residence, it would 100% be better managed than this. Also, expect your neighbors to be rowdy, noisy, messy and drunk college children who do not respect the apartment or other tenants who live here. Also there are not enough parking spots made for the amount of units.... very very poorly planned (company wanted to milk more money out of this place). You will be put on the waiting list for a parking spot but don't expect one ever. If you ask for the manager, he will hide in his office and tell the front desk children who don't know what they are doing to deal with you. I have never lived in an apartment complex that is this poorly managed. If you see any reviews with 5 stars, it is because you can get away with doing anything in this place-- they will just fine you to make more money.

Sara Carter

Living here currently and it’s awesome! Extremely clean and everything is new. Added amenities are included which is really nice. The people and staff are more than friendly and it’s overall a friendly student environment! Would recommend to anyone 100%!

Shadaab Saiyed

Worst management. Stealing the mails and packages. If the manager or the management is reading this you need to take some action and take some responsibilities on you. Stealing the packages of student is not a way to treat your residents. I have never come across to this kind of worst management. You guys make life like a living hell in this building.

jaidyn whitley

My apartment was disgusting Filled with roaches Never maintained any of the outdoor facilities I woke up one morning And they didn’t salt the pavement and I fell. On top of that when I tried to contact the manager Michelle and tell her about the reoccurring problems She just yelled over me and told me to leave the office. Would not recommend for anyone to stay here

PKG

Common's management are the big scammer, my lease will going to over at the end of this month.I went to office and met with manager she told me i need to pay $735 rent and after few days I again went to the office, met with another woman she was saying I have to pay $755 for rent.

Adam Smith

The management of the building will go out of their way to make your life a living hell. The a/c in one of the towers is turned off. Despite several complaints, heat wave warning and tenants suffering due to the heat, the management refuses to do anything about it. They do not tend to repairs despite numerous maintenance requests. They bring out rules out of thin air as per their convenience and torture tenants. They rudely say providing an air-conditioning is not their responsibility, when it is clearly mentioned in the lease as well as it was advertised when I moved in.

Mic Patron

Garbage everywhere! DMS is the worst managment service ever. I would rate zero stars, the building is filled with bed bugs and roaches, you have 10 people sharing a small room with one window which is out of question & a fire hazard, work orders are ignored & closed without being started, AC is broken since June 1st 2020 and not still fixed because the manager Michele Aubut & dms is saving money not to pay hydro we should die in the heat. No reply communication when you email, manager is terrible & RUDE poor people manager skills, needs training, they lost documents, so disorganized, parking is a nightmare because you get other people parking in your spot you paying for and nothing is done about it. Terrible! Do NOT recommend this place to rent or DMS management.

Meghavi Halari

It's just been 3 months but it already feels like I've been living here since long. For international students, college view commons is basically a home away from home. The management and the staff are all very welcoming and always ready to help. There are events that happen every month which helps the community to grow stronger with every passing day. I, with any doubt or questions will always suggest college view commons to my friends.

Simon Mitchell

Terrible place to live. Administration can't keep track of payments and will constantly try to double charge you. They contact you through personal emails with subject lines full of caps and exclamation marks like they are illiterate and …

Madison Lord

This place seems amazing until you get here. Terrible service, change of payments without notice. Really not clean at all. Definitely would not recommend this place to anyone.

Sahil Keswani

I would never recommend anyone to get a place her. Management not helpful at all.

Faith Smith

Do not be fooled by the nice pictures. Whatever you do, for the love of God, do not live here.

Ashu Sachdeva

Verry bad Managment. Manager seems very frustrated all the time. Last managment name drewlo was the best one.

Casey Ingold

I had an amazing experience living at Collegeview Commons. I moved into the building when it was first opened and lived at Collegeview for 2 years. I commuted the first year of my program but it just wasn’t what I had expected for my college experience. A few girls who I didn’t know too well asked me to move in and I am SO glad I did. The units are beautiful. When something broke or we needed a maintenance issue looked at it was very easy to submit a work order online and maintenance would come look at the issue very promptly. The staff were always smiling and very helpful. If they didn’t know something I was directed to someone who could answer my questions. Overall I don’t regret anything about my time at Collegeview. I met so many friends from the program I am in and many others from events that were run throughout the building. I’m really going to miss living here !

yo cool

The management is terrible here disgusting we are 4 guys and we booked a whole apartment of 4 bedroom they promised us that we can come on this date and then just before one day they said that they can’t give us the room because of some issues and then they promised us to give a temporary room and then again Just before one night they again changed our room seriously this the my worst experience of my life there management is worst ever only thing is that the rooms are good but there management is very very very bad. They really don’t care about there customers.

Ishu Sharma

Disgusting place to live. Pathetic staff. They turned the AC on in July last year (2020) leaving us helpless and this year as well its down and not working yet. (its 15th June 2021 already) save your money and find a better place to live.

Ray Pierre

I moved in to the building in 2020 not sure because of Covid but I needed to be close to the college as I live to far to commute for the labs that I have once a week. I need to tell everyone how COVID safe I feel; cleaners are all over the place wiping and sanitizing; every time I go through the lobby without my face mask someone from the office will remind me, its a pain but I know they are looking out for my safety, it makes me angry when I see other tenants arguing with them about masks, why cant we all follow the rules. the management and staff truly care about us and our safety. I wish the other tenants could stop being selfish and stop giving them a hard time. it is truly a place that cares about their tenants and keeping us safe.

That Guy

The place is pretty well put together, office management is great and the rooms are adequate Sizes. ????????

Poor management system. Its the ending of june and still AC are not working and they don’t care about that.

This was one of the worst living experiences I have ever had. I moved in to a complete disaster, the previous tenants garbage and unwanted items all left behind along with dirty dishes and a balcony infested with bees and cockroaches. Once you explore past the front entrance you will see a very disgusting unkept apartment building, with black mold on the ceilings in the halls and leaves and garbage in the vents. During COVID there was still large parties going on till 5am, rarely sanitizing wipes in the gyms or sanitizer, and no signage concerning the cleaning and rules of the gym during the pandemic. Also no security to be seen and nothing will be done if you call the 24/h help line. Was also charged $50 when I first moved in and when I asked then what it was for they said they didn’t know and it wasn’t supposed to be charged, so if you decide to move into the dump I strongly recommend you watch for extra unknown charges.

I have lived at CollegeView Commons for about 3 years and this April school is done and I must leave, as my career path is taking me to Northern Ontario; I am excited for my new journey but sad to leave this place that I have called home for so long. The Staff are amazing they are all so friendly and smiling; and although the boss lady is loud she is an incredible person, she always has time to talk to the tenants and help us with our problems even if it is not part of her job. I lost my grandpa and she saw me in the lobby crying, she stayed and talked with me until my ride arrived to take me to my parents home, I will never forget that kindness. But I think I will miss Frank the most he is so nice and his puppies are so cute ; Frank lives at the building and fixes everything that goes wrong he will even walk you to the car in the underground if it is late. I want to thank All of the staff at CollegeView for making times of COVID safe and keeping us all in check. FOR ALL OF YOU THAT ARE THINKING CONESTOGA COLLEGE YOU NEED TO THINK COLLEGEVIEW COMMONS FOR YOUR HOME, I PROMISE, YOU WON'T REGRET IT..

Only had problems from the beginning. Every time you turn around they’re charging you another fee. Rent has went from $550 to $650, parking went from $90 to $105. The electrical company they use ROBS you with $80+ of service fees per apartment (split between 4 roommates but still very high). Parking for guests is not free and very limited. The apartments are nice but not worth the price, and that’s if you got lucky and didn’t have roaches. It’s incredibly disheartening to be in school and having endless problems and an extremely high rent. You are required to pay online but they charge you 1.99% to pay with a credit card and 0.99% to pay with debit. Unbelievable. Don’t recommend.

Poor management, constant fire alarms and loud during the school year. Security does not do much about the noise and will not call authorities for breaking by laws. Very disappointing as I could never sleep or study around exam time for school. Since management has changed, they will also charge you for things you may have already paid for or unofficially signed up for. The place looked good on paper but I promise you no one likes living here. If you get good roommates and luck out in an area with good people around you you'll be fine. Not the situation for most people though so I would avoid this place. Becoming very expensive and there is also a case of bed bugs in some rooms. Air is very dry and the water quality is poor.

ZERO star. We come and pay for first month. After , we change our mind, in second or third day ( No contract was provided, we didn't read anything, didn't sign anything ) no money was returned . More then 20 days passed. No money back . Be carefull . They provide email for communication - do not work . Its look like , nobody care here about anything. Please, return our money back ! ! !

Overall, the place served its purpose and the reception staff specially Ayo- are very helpful. The room was clean when i moved in , the shower was hot and ran great.Whatever is the issue, staff is always available for help. The people above were mercifully quiet. So overall experience is good and value for money.
