Avoid at all cost if you don't like living in a place that resembles a prison cell.

Rooms are a bit small but as a student you don’t really need that much. If it’s your first year in Canada or TRU in general, this is the best place to start. You get to have a good time and meet a lot of new people. Positive things: - You live with your friends and you get to see them everyday. - You live 5 min away from almost every building at TRU - On Campus WIFI is good and you get it at McGill - You have an RA and he or she will take care of you and take you seriously with every problem that you might encounter. - You live next to a gym/pool/running facilities - Both Superstore and Walmart are at walking distances of 10 min. Negative things: - Sometimes you can hear the outside noise - Winter wind gusts can be a little bit harder in between the towers.

McGill student housing used to be managed and staffed by fantastic people. As of summer 2016, TRU now owns and operates McGill student housing and the living experience hasn't been the same.

Decent housing, a little small but overall I'm pleased. Staff are all friendly and I feel somewhat at home. People just have to make the best of it... although now living here for almost two years does take a toll

I cannot be more honest with you! I wish i could give them a negative... Don't even try to consider them. The rooms are the most uncomfortable, unmaintained and old af.. The people who work there will scam you in a heart beat, if you don't follow up after moving out, they will take your damage deposit for no reason at all. For all new students, (cuz most existing student knows about them) especially for all International students, please avoid McGill housing as much as you can to avoid being scammed. and incase you move in, take as much pictures as you can when you move in for evidence when moving out.

It's tiny, but if you get out and meet people right away - you'll probably a have a blast! When I was there, we all had our doors open all the time, and constantly met the neighbours (and generally took any opportunity to leave our rooms). Great social atmosphere, if you get out of your bubble and meet people right away.

Have you ever thought how is it to live in a jail cell? Well, think no more and move to Mcgill (You wont get your deposit back too) A positive side is that you get to know amazing people from all around the world, shoutout to the gang!! lml

Best place to live make friends and socialize rooms overall are good all staff members , RA managers are friendly. McGill housing is amazing best place to live close to university ,superstore and Wallmart. I have been living here since last one year I love this place .

Living here for 8 months. Dorms are cozy. You get a fridge, microwave, sink, bed, and desk. 4 dorms share a bathroom and supply closet. Residents pay for parking and laundry facilities. 5 bucks a day with free weekends, holidays, and nights. (also allows parking anywhere on campus). Room was a bit grungy/dirty when I got in. But a bit of house cleaning made it feel like home. There is a common building with a kitchen, games room, laundry area and mailboxes. Front desk is helpful. If your going to college at TRU its good enough really.

Its a huge money grabbing scam. Half of what is advertised you don't get. If you try and complain they will start to harass you and fine you for minor things. the RA's do drugs on campus but when there are on shift they will report you for any little thing. they also force you to pay the full school year upfront so you cant leave. if you try to opt out they charge you 1600 dollars

I wish I could give them 0 star. If you are sending your child from other countries please don't trust McGill housing because their is something going on for sure they will charge security fees and there won't be any surety about accommodation. This happen with my own niece who came across and when she reach there they said there's no room for her. Temperature was -25 she start crying that where I'll go? But nobody help her just said sorry we can't do anything. Then we call hotels and book a room for her. I don't want to remember those days that one part of canada is like that. We call them so many time after if you get any room she is staying in hotel and it's very expensive but again sorry we don't have any spot available was their reply. And then we somehow arrange her accommodation somewhere else and I fill form for my security deposit. But still waiting for security deposit refund................. Worst experience of my life please don't send your kids on their trust make your own arrangements don't trust them. They are making money by hook or crook only nothing else. That's why they don't even return security deposit.

This place is outstanding for students. The staff is very caring, supportive and understanding. They helped me alot, especially in my travel to Kamloops during covid 19. The rooms are very clean and well maintained. I recommend every international student to choose McGill residence as their first place to live on campus. Thank you McGill

Most of the reviews call Mcgill housing a terrible place with rooms the size of prison cells. They are right and not only are the rooms disgusting and tiny the bathrooms are covered mold and I had to spend 3 hours cleaning them by myself. The RA's spend every waking moment trying to get students in trouble and dont expect any parties or fun social events. Its a prison with guards and I cant wait to leave this place.

Absolutely the most pathetic hostel I’ve ever seen, and this is supposed to be in a good Canadian college. No staff no maintenance, the toilets clog all the time. Just absolutely pathetic.
