Reviews of Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge (University)

We stayed in late July. Check-in was a breeze and we found all the staff helpful and courteous. Our room (a Lakeview King) was cute, perhaps a little worn, but it had charm. The pool is excellent and we had a very good lunch in the restaurant. My only complaint is that staff began using leaf blowers on the golf course at an ungodly hour, well before 9am. The sound travelled STRAIGHT across the lake and more or less ruined an otherwise peaceful morning by the water. Not only are leaf blowers insanely loud, but they are massively polluting machines that wreck no small amount of ecological damage. Fairmont should stop using them as part of its sustainability efforts.

We dined on the patio and are food wasn't very good. There was four of us and all of our food lacked taste. Disappointing when you are spending so much. I still rate it 5 stars as the JPL is amazing. I've stayed there many times, staff are always friendly and helpful. The property is gorgeous. It's nice they have a lake on the property where you can rent canoes, paddle boats, etc. In the winter you can go ice skating.

My husband and I haven’t had a break since COVID. Didn’t realize how badly we needed one until arrived at JPL on Mar 22. From the second we arrived at check-in at the gate we were treated like royalty-no muss, no fuss, just sheer bliss. I can’t thank you enough for this great mini break! The service was amazing and the food to die for! Stayed in main Lodge. Room amazing and immaculate. Thank you Christina, Jerald and everyone else!!! JTHOMPSON

Had a great stay in jasper park lodge. Want to give a big shout out to Evelyn who works at the Em to go. She greeted us every morning and always very professional and efficient. There was a bit of a hiccup during payment on our last day, but she was very patient and kind and it was solved quickly. She even wrote us a little warm note wishing us a safe trip home. Thank you for making our stay memorable!

I don’t write a lot of reviews at all, but after dining at Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge. I was blown away by the service we received from Carlos who was our server on Sep 7, 2020. He was very kind and accommodating. We not only enjoyed the delicious food but also the service that we received. You could even tell that Carlos was always smiling under his mask. Truly remarkable and my hats off to this gentleman. Cheers!

It was ok but for the level of hotel it could have been way better. Def super average. With Covid, pool was closed, any common areas closed, pretty much all closed which they have to, but hotel could make a few creative things for families. Went to ask if they have marshmallow so we could roast outside since there nothing to do then found out they can give you a kit with 10 marshmallows for 45$ ???? other ideas are, allow to rent a movie for free when all other resort things are closed. I asked the most unfriendly concierge ever of ideas and she looks at us like, ideas like what? ???? at the end just been in fresh air with family was great, the view is great but as I said, this is more like a 3* hotel. Food very average and room really needs a reno, don’t rely on USB to charge your electronics.
