I honestly don't know, how this university is accredited. Worst university in Canada! Period....Also, there are so many good options and affordable out there. Before, I forget, I don't even know how they accept international students that berarely speak good English. And the course value on quality.... it's poor to say the least. To sum up, please stay away from this place, and I won't be surprised at all if they are out of business.

Currently enrolled and I'm learning a ton. I've tried my hand in other fields of study at other educational establishments and learning is the same everywhere- you'll learn if you are really ready. I consider learning to be an everyday process (we learn everywhere from everyone we encounter) at RCC I'm learning the inns and outs from those experienced in the video game industry. It's a fast paced "fastTrack" type of learning here, my goals postGraduation = becoming Unity certified + starting my own business????!

As a graduate student I had a great experience with this university. All the professors are very supportive. Especially, Krystal and professors Raj always motivate the students which i really appreciate.

This is the worst university I have ever heard about. Didn't even wanted to give one star but had to for the only 1% good professors here, others are so rude and unprofessional. They don't listen to their students. Give them stress and hard time. Advising: please consider if you are thinking to be a part of this worst university!!!!

This University looks more towards the money they get in from the students. Some of the profs are good and understanding, others (mostly) you can't really trust their words. They'll agree with your work with minimal critique (basically just agreeing with you) and turns around and fail you so you can pay to RE-do the course again (regardless you're an honour-roll student - it's all about the $$) The Finance and admin staffs are mainly heartless, they just care bout giving penalties and over-charging the fees disregarding the financial struggles of some students. They'll lock your account without any notices and dismiss you with no pre-warnings either. ONLY reason many chooses this school is becuz they'll accept any students. This institution is all bout the money and not the success of each person. (honestly this place should get negative/minus stars)

Current in my final stretch in the BBA program. First and foremost, it should be mentioned that this is a private University offering accelerated degree courses. (Disregard any reviews mentioning RCC Institute of Technology or Toronto Film School, as RCC was closed in 2018 and TFS is a separate school, now in a differemt campus) This campus has come a long way in just a couple of years, after they purchased it in Toronto 2018. They offer accelerated business and interior design degree programs, meaning 3 month terms, no summer break, and tight deadlines, however the courses consist of 4 classes a week and two fairly easy assignments per class (learing activity, usually in class, and a 3-6 page paper in APA). The reviews of the program being too hard are from former students who did not make an effort in their courses. The school has much room to improve, however, the faculty and teachers are showing they are willing to make the effort. We now have more diversity in the student body, a student council with sub councils, sports teams, and even had a prom. For a private school, they are heavily invested in the success and experience of the student body.

This school is really just a business. The deadlines are unrealistic and some of the teachers don’t really care if they fail you. They also just care about getting paid. If you are an interior designer and you are teaching here, the chances are you are supplementing an income which means you are not as successful as an interior designer. This also means you do not have enough clients to sustain your lifestyle. It’s the sad truth. The school has many knowledgeable staff, but it is designed to fail you, giving you more assignments than you can realistically handle. This school is money hungry. Furthermore, any recent positive reviews given by a current student is null since the student is either a teacher’s pet, probably still enrolled in another program after completing one program in the same University as they cannot get a full time job after graduating and cannot cope in the real world. Hence they only get attention from their professors.

One of the worst schools in ontario they expect you to learn how to make a video game in a year and half and overcharge so much money to come here like for programmers they expect you to learn javascript, C++, C sharp, 3DS Max, photoshop, illustrator and construct 2 in 3 months. Plus theres no cateria its only a vending machine and no tutoring service.the advisers dont know anything about the course your better off going to another college and not waste your time like i did... thank you if you took the time to read this review... and plus each assignment is due in a week some teachers wont give extra time

I have very bad experience at RCC Institute of Technology. There is no job security at this workplace. There is so much monopoly at this work environment. They do not give you access just because Manager's are scared someone might take their place one day. They fire people with no reason and on top of that no verbal warning is given. Students have hard time studying there, with facilities provided. All students who do not get admission else where in Ontario, RCC Institute of Technology accepts them. Majority of people studying there you wont find them in normal state. This place deserves 0 star.

We stand behind our school! So proud of the students, many of whom have gone on to great success in their careers. Whether you study in our degree programs or at the Toronto Film School we know you will have a great experience.

Best Universty and affordable for international students as compared others. Haters gonna bark let them because they don’t have a motive to study. University provides effective learning and helps you to stand in society! Thank you Yorkville ❤️

The online BBA is beyond a joke. Teachers do not reply, you have no examples or instructions to do the work. You are forced to either cheat and find the recycled answers online or watch hours of YouTube videos if you can find them. I have done at least 10 classes where the online interaction from a “teacher” is a copy pasted comment that goes to all students. This is disgusting and in no way should be labeled as a university. The stress, emotional, and financial damage is real. And needs to be addressed! Also note, positive reviews on this “university” are paid for. No positive review has successfully passed or registered at Yorkville

I am a Student of this university in BBA program. I can suggest to university as this is a business motive organization to take tests of students before they study courses and give them credits or pass of courses and move them to next course as university did in Developmental Math. This will help both university to admit more students at the same time existing students can earn a degree earlier but these tests must have no impact on the result sheet of students if they fail it or do not give it. Thanks Chetanjeet Kaur

Yorkville University's Interior Design program is excellent and offers the unique experience of studying completely at my own pace. I was an online student learning remotely from BC and I found the course portal easy to use and instructors generally responsive and supportive. The faculty is also very helpful and for the most part took any issues or concerns I had seriously and solved them quickly. I can't speak to the in-person experience at any of the campuses, however from my understanding the school is relatively young and still growing and developing, and I am sure in the next 5-10 years it will be on par with other colleges and polytechnic universities such as Douglas College or Kwantlen Polytechnic here in Vancouver. For those who complain of difficulty and lack of support around deadlines, Yorkville offers an extremely generous 3 day late period with penalties of 5% stacking to a maximum 20% and 0 after that; something BCIT here in BC does not where they give you 5 minutes late equal -20% and after that a 0. Yorkville is also providing accelerated degree programs, meaning if you are unable to keep up with standard course requirements spread over 3 months instead of four, your poor performance is a reflection of you work ethic and time management skills and not the fault of the school or your instructors. Lastly, Yorkville has a provided an excellent online learning experience and provides all the essential services I have ever required to support my learning virtually. I would 100% recommend Yorkville to anyone that is looking to further their academic studies while juggling full-time and family.

World’s worst university is this one. They put pressure on students. Instead of understanding student’s situation or providing them a solution, they give them hard time. Please don’t ever consider being a part of this University.

I currently am enrolled in the electronic engineering program here, the professor are great, the classes are small and the school staff are very kind and helpful. Unfortunately my program is being taught out though... this school isn't for everyone, they are very fast pace and offer accelerated programs. You have to be willing to put in a lot of work if you want to succeed here. Missing one day of classes here is like missing a week's worth of work anywhere else. The school library is very clean and the employees there are very kind and helpful, the selection of books is just for the programs that are offered at this school (you will not find a fiction section). The computers can seem to feel like they are being very slow at times and the printer can seem like it's job is to not work, but like I said before the staff are always more than willing to help you solve any problems. There is no "caffiteria" it's just 6 vending machines with some seating arrangements, but there are many close by restaurants; subway, Tim Hortons, Wendy's, etc. I would recommend this school if you are serious about your studies, it's not like any other college where partying is a big part of the culture or "school experience".

1. The university is all about profit and the their big boasts about doing the degree in less than 2.5 years is not legitimate at all. Some students who have done a previous diploma can finish it under 2.5 years, but most incoming students who are fresh out of high school cannot. 2. The current environment of the Ontario campus is all about student retention (i’ll elaborate this more below). Professors are instructed not to fail a student and give them at least a C or C+ so students can stay above the 2.0gpa requirement. 3. If you are an international student, keep in mind that you can only take one break after 2 or 3 consecutive semesters. The official drop is 3 months which means if you take a drop for internships which usually run for 4 months, you’ll definitely have an overlap. 4. Currently the campus is dominated by international students from India, Bangladesh and Sri-Lanka. There are almost no domestic students. In my time here (1.3 years) i have only come across 8–10 domestic students; currently there are 800 students from BBA and BID on campus. 5. If you are looking for a quality education and a degree which will provide you flexibility in choosing your courses or instructors; this is so not the place. University hires professors on term basis and most professors are either doing their MSc or PHd’s. 6. The allotted class time is 3 hours but classes only run for 1.5 - 2.5 hours. The reason behind this is half of the class does not show up or only shows up for the learning activities (LA’s are the Yorkville way of assessing students for their in class performance and on an average will carry around 20% - 30% of the final grade). 7. Building up on the above point, because half of the class does not show up and the remaining class does not participate 70% of the professors here simply just read the content on the slides and leave. Yep that right, most classes end in an hour and there are no discussions or lectures. 8. (This one will surprise you). You can get an assignment from coursehero or cheggstudy and get around 80%. Yep, the assignment submission does not recognize plagiarism, expect for turn-it in. The reason behind this that most students are international students who have either faked their ilets or simply cannot read or write basic English. Some instructors will go to an extent where they will give you the master copy of solutions or assignments and ask students to re-write it. 9. As mentioned turn-it-in is the only portal on moodle that will recognize plagiarism; university has switched away from it and will let you submit hard copies since the plagiarism rate is too high. E.g. out of a class of 30, 26 students submitted an identical case study and the instructor passed them all with 80 avergage. How do i know? The instructor discussed the matter in class and informed each and everyone that since he cannot fail 26/30 students he has no choice but to pass them. 10. There is a learning activity and a assignment due for each course every week for someone with an average course load of 4 courses a semester that is 8 assignments a week and 88 papers a semester. 11. Compared to colleges like Humber, George Brown, Seneca & Sheridan; this school is pennies for a dollar. Means it is cheap not just in price but also in quality. 12. If you are an international student, keep in mind that this institute might not be here for ever and you might lose your work permit or the university might lose its accreditation. Simple words, if a college gets blacklisted its students either have to start from scratch or go back. 13. If you’re looking for quality, an alumni connection or just an education; your expectation will fall far short. If you just want a degree which can give you a good score sure this is your place. 14. With all that said, i would also like you to know that there are around 30% professors who take their job seriously and will go lengths to help you out in and outside the school. But you cannot have them teach you each course and you cannot have them each semester due to scheduling conflicts.
