Limited choices on vancouver island. I ended up going to a school off island to complete my course, they are pouring money into the infrastructure and not engaging there students. I found a small school in Ontario with teachers who where not scared to teach me. Camosun is a huge rip off. the Provence needs to get involved. I could never go back to a west coast school. I dont want to starve to death wile my teacher isn't showing up for class.

The instructors are great and they know their stuff. Enjoyed going there for my post secondary education. However the administrative staff are horribly disorganized. Import events or dates were not broadcast in any way shape or form. They are basically useless and do not provide support or information.

Nice compact campus that is easy to navigate. It has the basic amenities that an institution of higher learning should have, but no frills to speak of (except maybe the turtles in the pond in the main stairwell of the Fisher Building). The cafeteria and bookstore are just okay, but the people that work in them are pretty great. All of the teaching and admin staff that I’ve dealt with have been very helpful, too, It’s definitely a very pretty campus that is conveniently located in the city, and is very well-serviced by several different bus routes.

I'm an undergrad from a small town, I went in looking for help as to how to get myself upgraded, not only did they let me know how easy it can be, they even asked what I'm planning to do and reassured me that my idea of how to get where I want was realistic and a great way of going about it! Really had a pleasant first experience with the school! Can't wait to get enrolled!

Started off really good. I was at this campus as well as the VCM campus downtown. Learned a few good things but the organization is terrible and it's still costing a lot of money despite how much time is wasted both through classes, some teachers not being prepared or showing up as well as the registration issues. The registration and admin department has been 90% terribly rude! Do they get paid for that as well? Camosun has some good programs and really lovely teachers but not worth going through all the hassle.

This is the worst place for education. The only goal for is this school is to earn money, they don’t care about students. Plus there are only some limited courses you can take, and teachers are not willing to offer any extra help.

Honestly a lot of other reviews summed it up pretty good they don't care about the students. Durring the pandemic this was made especially clear as services for students weren't available. It was a complete mess trying to do it online and having ADHD and no services available made it impossible. I've raked up a lot of debt ill never be able to pay back now and after the pandemic mess I never got the withdrawal status I asked for so my record says I failed 2 semesters. I cant go to any other college now because of that. One semester shy of a diploma and here we are 20 grand in debt and nothing to show for it. Unless you a rich kid they don't care about you. Go somewhere else.

Signs say staff and students only. Pandemic protocols. Walked the dog around in the dark and early hours. They're fixing the outside of one 70s era stuccoed building; going to use metal cladding, as has been done for other buildings there. Very few cars in the parking area, but still some activity, looks to be related to nursing courses - could be wrong - and construction activity.

I feel I was overly corrected, my choice on how to describe the course as I understand the course to be 'Health Care Aide'. It's what other schools list this course to be. I'm sternly corrected with: "You mean Health Care Assisting". (Okay, fine.) Then I'm told the course is all booked up this year and into the next year even. The person on phone sounded put off by me like she was glad to tell me there was no room for me, absolutely nothing from her on what other step to take, what to do like she could care less. I feel like writing a complaint but after reading these reviews, just go elsewhere. It just doesn't make sense to speak to an interested potentiAL student with such a tone. I was polite, asked correct questions. I really should complain.

This is the worst college for an education. A two year program could take up to four years to complete due to not offering a full course load. Only one course offered per semester at times. Don't waste your time and money go to University where at least they can get professors for what they are offering. Administration doesn't even seem to care about their students. For the money expect better.
