Trades class was online due to covid 19. We were unable to use any resources the school would have normally offered. The amount of training recieved was less than minimal. After inquiring about a partial refund I was told I would not recieve one because i passed the course. Pretty scammy if you ask me.

Most events on campus are run by students which gives everybody an opportunity to participate and organise stuff they like. Clubs such as the adventure club and Board Game club are just boss! ????

After a three hour drive from my hometown to visit the college and talk to someone face-to-face about the program I'm interesred in, I was very pleased with my time there. When I got turned around and lost, both students and staff were were very helpful and pleasant in pointing me in the right direction. In one of the common spaces was a jar full of little cheesy jokes that you could take from. The first staff member we met helped us out and pointed me out to an instructor for the Medical Office Assistant program who informed me that the program I am interested in (the Medical Lab Assistant program) is, unfortunately, suspended so the instructors can revamp it and make sure they are teaching what employers want their employees to know. She spent about ten minutes answer my questions and showed me how I could add myself to an information emailing list for the MLA program. She then suggested I go talk to someone in the student services/registration area for more information. The lady at student services also spent about ten minutes answering questions.

The instructors are great and they know their stuff. Enjoyed going there for my post secondary education. However the administrative staff are horribly disorganized. Import events or dates were not broadcast in any way shape or form. They are basically useless and do not provide support or information.

This college is unprofessional staffs and bad organized you never see in cross all Canada. Be aware!! They are racists and give hard time to some students if you are smart and work hard don’t go. Some educators make hard time for students while online due COVID19. Wrote exam on time after reply from educators said no received exam. Two face. Of course, make an unforgettable excuses take over course again. Don’t go apply this college no worth your time and money.

Awful trade school. Retired instructors who have nothing better to do than belittle students. Little to no help with labs and 0 instructional book time. A loud bell the buzzes at coffee, lunch and the end of the day. I quote " when the bell goes, YOU GO !". This school will be pumping out low quality tradesmen and I would not recommend any employer hire a student who has completed there education here. To any student, I would not recommend to continue your education here. The welding lab is brand new ( gives my one star ) with many glitches still.

My welding teacher AL was really rude to me and he would make me feel like a failure and that is should not weld anymore he would say some really mean things to me he is sopost to be a teacher a trainer not a bully he acts like a teen he is not nice I would never do the welding again because of him there is more stuff that he has done like drink in class and tell us how much he drinks and stuff like that but there is more thanks for the worst 6 month I ever had AL

Took the kids there last night to shoot a few hoops at the basketball court. No one around at all.. Harmless young family just keeping socially distanced. Security came and kicked us out because it's private property. Pretty disappointed

The school cares more about money than its students. This becomes apparent when you look at all the buildings they have built but failed to work with local community to increase traffic safety. No safe way to cross a street at busy interurban, no light controls so traffic always backs up in parking lots. Charging so much for parking that students walk 30 mins so they sont have to pay for parking. Covid will end and all this will come back, as it was before Feb of 2020.

Was parked at interurban by facilities and a looser hit my truck and ran..I sent email..called 3 times about video footage and no response..so avoiding responsibility ..withholding evidence and I'm stuck paying 1200$ damage.. Thanks Great ethics Dan. M

Completing my degree in Exercise & Wellness rather than Kinesiology at UVic was a great decision. It was more affordable, instructors know there material and take time to know your name (which is easy because avg class size is 30 not 300), and there is a good amount of book learning and hands on experience. If you have a passion for fitness and want to make a career of it then check out one of their info sessions on their exercise science programs.
