The grading system is so unfair. I was given a 2.6 CGPA when I clearly could've earned myself a 3.6CGPA at least. I worked hard yet was never compensated appropriately. It's almost as if the school wish to not have their students graduate on time and/or pursue a higher education

Unless a university is very famous they're normally not on the average tourist's itinerary, however Kingston has a tremendous amount to offer the tourist and if you find yourself in town and have some extra time definitely take a walk through the Queen's campus and maybe visit one of the museums and take in a sporting event. Note that Queen's has many campuses and facilities - at least three large ones. The main campus is centered roughly on Bader Ln and University Ave. and contains the oldest building (Summerhill, 1839) on the Kingston main-campus as well as most of the oldest limestone buildings. If you have the chance to see the campus in the autumn the fall colors are beautiful. There are two small museums open to the public in this general area; the Miller Museum of Geology and the Agnes Etherington Art Gallery (both appropriate for families - the geology museum is especially good for young children). The art gallery contains two previously unknown Rembrandt's! There are historic ties to Scotland with Queen's and I believe that they are the only university outside of the U.K. with a registered tartan. Speaking of fabric, the school colors are known as the tri-color (blue, red, and yellow) which make for striking uniforms. There are many sporting events through the year and their varsity clubs and teams are quiet competitive. If you are fortunate enough to see the Queen's marching band it's quiet a sight - bagpipes and kilts! (and they play well too :-) Some of the sporting events take place on the West Campus about 1.5 kilometres away. The third large campus is actually a castle in England (15th century Herstmonceux Castle) in East Sussex. I haven't been there. It's one of the top universities in Canada. Canada has a very high ratio of top universities for the size of the population, so many of their universities have all sorts of accomplishments and accolades which you can read about on their websites. Queen's is no exception it has its share Noble Prize winners, politicians, successful entrepreneurs, etc. If you have the time it's worth a visit.

The students are awesome! The faculty?... You get a lot of people gathered together who, if they couldn't do this, really couldn't do anything. They are given to think that they are both intelligent and important because they have Ph.D.s and most people don't. Often, though not always, the Ph.D does indicate mastery over a subject. But that's all it indicates, and, unfortunately, many people with Ph.D.s think it covers a wider area than it does. They think it empowers their superior insight into government and foreign policy and race relations and such. In addition, these people are put into an environment where daily, they judge themselves against a standard set by eighteen- or twenty- year-old kids who know little if anything about the subject matter in which their professors are experts. Makes it hard not to take themselves very seriously. Most of them ought to be able to do it, but they don't.

If you happen to drive through Queens (or anywhere in the City) watch out for students. They simply have no concept of how to cross roads safely. Not sure if it's a sense of entitlement or never having been taught road craft. Maybe an idea for a first year undergraduate course - Crossing Roads 101.

Staff are friendly but 2/3 times my accommodations smelled like I was staying in a cesspool and the wc I shared with the guest next door clogged up and overflowed seeping into the rooms. At least the shower only sprayed clean water all over the wc that puddled on the carpet of my room of which had no temperature control. So it was a long warm stinky night. And sitting on the bottom foot of the bed only flipped the head side way up in the air leaving my belongings to roll right off the end into the muck. The complimentary bar of soap was just big enough to almost wash an entire limb of my body before disintegrating. Great security, nice people, access to the gym. No nighttime staff to deal with overflowing toilets. Don't plan on staying there again. Too much hassle for such a brief stop. Broken beds and toilets just don't make the cut in Canada. Enjoy your stay. May want to bring diapers, wet naps, and piece of wood to traverse the carpet. Ug????!

I visited this school as a 16 year old to see if this was something as a Canadian that I wanted to consider applying to. What I found? White-skinned people across the country willing to get away with racist tendencies and/or completely full on racist attitudes - especially against 'Black in any way shape of form people, even Canadians - Americans included'. Some of these people don't even know that this school was named after a very racist Queen Victoria indeed who continued to perpetuate Slavery to Black People, and also some people today still have dreams of their former 'Victorian Houses' so they can 'Slide down their Bannisters, once they over-primp themselves in the morning' and also desire to move into their 'Dream of a Victorian-era Home'. And, if they uproot themselves to places like Ottawa, and even all across the Prairies and the Maritimes included, they will do this, just to continue living in their relative Time Warp. The Buildings really are an impure symbols of this continued White Shade of Satanism. You will continue to locate all types of complaints. However, if you are related to a Slave Master, who hasn't even repented for their 'Sins of the Past' you will buy your way to an 'Instant Acceptance Letter'. And the highlights are their numerous Federal Jails where you can Drive-by on a day trip to Toronto to see the evidence of their Capital Punishment towers and the embarrassing amounts of poison caused by this nations John A. MacDonald. Creepy, and I know their jail lawns are Haunted. That is why for Canada their basic #2 Representation Really Converts to an automatic Fail and Last Place. They overrate themselves. And companies overpay their 'graduates' to get preferential interviews - to the point of 'Business Class' airplane rides to their interviews, also to the nation's Corrupt Oil Sectors. I'm sure they Win Big, don't they? It's a Shenanigan. Even Cana-duhs Prime Ministers children get specially selected to go to this school. And they Underperform in their Varsity Sports also. They do get special training on 'How to continue perpetuating Racism in 'Their' Nation.'

The student experience at this university is second to none. Kingston is a great university town. Most people live on campus which makes the community feel very close knit. The sports teams at this institution are well supported and a pillar of school spirit. The campus is beautiful and everything is walking distance. They have great support for mental health services. The Business Faculty is one of the best in the country and engineering are the heart and soul of Queen's craziness. The only thing it's still missing an ice rink. Don't forget, Wuck Festern!

Very displeased with the organization of the school. Extremely difficult to get in touch with the departments unless at their convenience.. attempted contacting 7 times on my behalf and finally after writing an email about how displeased and frustrated I was, they reached out immediately, however did not manage to resolve my problem and continued to refer me to a different department. When contacting by phone with the numbers they provide it goes straight to voicemail.. and still request that I contact a different department even though the extension number is the one that I was provided to get the assistance I need.. very frustrated and not at all satisfied that this process is being stretched out beyond demand..

A very good solid educational facility that has probably the best standards across the globe. Formal, sincere, and the best educators in the country. Your quality in work, performance, health, and living will be tested. Very high standards and prepares you well in any field, especially in teaching. Some of the best courses comparatively to any other university. Affordable compared to private sector schools. Credits never expire. Relaxed in time to complete degree; provides a lot of resources and helpful centres to improve writing and academics. A highly pressurized academic environment that shapes the student for the world outside. Excellent standards.

I presented in emergency with a DVR in my right leg. They took me in after a 2 hr wait. I was seen almost immediately. However at 1230 am they sent me home saying x-ray would call me later on in the morning and I would have to go back and have that test done. I had gotten an Iv put in and I am very hard to get with a needle. I asked to have it left in they said no. After a bit of argument they finally agreed to let me keep it. I was there approximately 11 hours and nothing was done. The day before my foot had started turning black. I was very concerned. Anyway, I wasn't very pleased with the treatment I received. So in the morning I'll see what happens
