Enjoyed the college time
Great school ................................................................................. ............................................................................................................
Good.
I, for the most part, really enjoyed doing my undergrad here as a distance learner. Classes seemed very in depth. So much so that I felt my undergrad work here was far superior to the MBA program I was accepted in at a different school. For the money, you really can't go wrong choosing this University for continuing your education. I was lucky enough to visit campus a couple years ago. It's really a beautiful place.
I don't go here
A great location to grow as a person, leader, and professional. As a graduate of one of their online undergraduate programs, I had great communication with professors, a balanced workload, and opportunities to work on projects and be creative in the process.
Excellent university ???? Very helpful faculty Nice weather Overall just amazing
Lovely campus with nice facilities.
Beautiful campus and nice stadium.
One of the oldest Universities in the USA. You will find almost all courses available in all seasons. Good for working people who want to upgrade their skills.
STOP AND READ THIS FIRST! Stay away from this school. STAY AWAY! One of the worst schools not only in the US but in the WORLD. People work here are RUDE. A certificate from community college is way better than a degree from this school in the eye of employers. Don’t get caught by the cheap financial aid. So now let me ask you a question. What is the definition of BAD? Answer: UNIVERSITY OF THE CUMBERLANDS
Beautiful college campus. Faculty and staff are very friendly. Dining Hall has good food at reasonable price. Had a nice visit with my son, who is a student. Update from previous post. Another soon is a new student. We attended Freshman orientation today, June 11, 2021
Me & my friends went to this place for an admission. Very beautiful place to visit, green & milky white locations, frozen lakes. Just beautiful!!
we worked out on their outdoor course. it was great
This school was so amazing. I met my best friend at this school. They make everyone feel so welcoming.
Highly unorganized and very unprofessional college institution. Do not bother inquiring information from this university especially if you do not live near their campus because no one who works at this institution seems to know what they are talking about.
The college is evil
2014 graduate and loved my time there!
Very rude phone operators. I called to find out more about if religion is Incorporated in their classes because some schools actually do that. I have no problem with this being a Baptist college. The lady was very short with me and didn't seem to want to provide more information. She claimed she would be emailing me and never did. I won't be applying to this school. Maybe it's great on campus, but from what I can tell the online experience is probably horrible.
Great place, great folks
great
Best university ever!
As an alumni class of 1996 I'm blown away by all of the structural changes over the past 15 years.
Beautiful campus
Not a good fit for non-traditional students. Single, working parents beware!
gay
Quaint little Baptist school. Very challenging curriculum. The school does require religious involvement as a prerequisite for graduation. As an African-American young woman moving from a very diverse, sunny, and leftist Los Angeles county, to a 98% white, mostly conservative, and cold Kentucky county, the transition was hard for me, but I was not treated unfairly because of my race or political differences. My only issue was with the athletic department. I was supposed to walk-on to the women's basketball team. The coach kept pushing me off, saying she'd get into contact with me. I didn't want to miss my opportunity to enroll and receive my academic scholarship, so I did. I get all the way up to Kentucky only to learn that the roster was full. I was highly upset, considering I could've stayed home and likely played basketball at another school. Other than that occurrence, I had a fine experience at UC.
If you want to get your body in shape and be healthy, spend time at the center. A great place to be.
Huge university located in a peaceful place offering a mix of courses for every level of study. The university is very old and is managed very well. The infrastructure is huge and the people are helpful.
The infrastructure is mesmerizing and the faculty is very helpful although the town lacks most of the amenities of a big city, the place leaves you with a feel good experience overall. No too much pollution and traffic, basic things can be found in and around the university campus
My Cumberland, Dear Cumberland proud yo be a part of your past and rejoicing in your present. Class of 1987.
I almost decided to go to this college specifically because I only live about 10 or 15 minutes away from it. I was accepted, but after giving it a second thought, I didn't think it would have been a good idea. The people there just didn't seem very welcoming. They seemed to be closed minded, judgmental, and snobby. They also did not have the degree that I wanted to persue, so I had to pick a different one that I liked, but just not as much. On the brightside, it's in a beautiful area and it's not far from a decent amount of restaurants. It just didn't have enough positive things about it to make me want to attend classes here.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS SCHOOL. I transferred here for the start of my junior year after moving back home, it was the worst mistake ever!! Some of the professors here are terrible. They’re terrible with working with you as well as communication. Don’t get me started on the admissions office. I went completely ballistic on a few of the staff. I was supposed to graduate in May 2021 because I would have all the required courses needed to do so from the people I had talked to when I first attended the school. At the end of February, I was notified I was missing two courses but by that time I could only for one of those in my schedule because I would be over the limit for credits and I’d have to stay for the summer and take a course. Which I wasn’t cool with. I had been at the school for 2 years and I felt that this wasn’t handled properly at all. This school is very unprofessional and if I would’ve known from the beginning I would’ve just stayed where I was. I recommend NOT going here if you want to keep your peace and sanity. Literally just saved yourself the aggravation.
Don't go there, I gave it one star because I had to give a star to write a review. As somebody says this college is an evil and not understanding. Like someone said they are very narrow minded, I understand we need to follow an APA format but we should not be treated as high school kids for each and every word, if some one is from different culture and trying to understand the format and language here. They will humiliate you. My 22 month old daughter was hospitalized and I asked for a grace time after so many begging she gave me some time so I submitted each week's homework but was unaware of an attachment to the assignment. the instructor did not realize it until one week and after one week she emails me that she is gonna fail me. I mean do you know failing a person might mean a lot for the future of that person, we have so many responsibilities of house, job, kids. Be a little pitiful. Very narrow-minded and humiliating environment here. I was gonna recommend it to some of my family and friends but thinking of myself leaving but I am stuck because of my little daughter.
Great college nestled in the quaint town of Williamsburg, Kentucky. Although it is away from it all, there are plenty of nearby towns. As a former student the atmosphere was low key and enjoyable. Great place for those of the Christian faith to continue a higher education. Quality academics, modern facilities, meet long term friends and make forever memories here at the University of the Cumberlands.
Great Place - Beautiful Buildings!
We visited this school and had a great experience. Excellent environment and nice personnel.
Worst university ever
If you scroll through the reviews, you can plainly see that that the 5 star reviews are only from the people who have visited here and not attended the university. Choosing to go to school here has been one of the worst decisions of my life. If you still want to be overly controlled and treated like a child, this is where you need to go! They do not accept the fact that you are an adult and go out of their way to disrespect this in every way you can find imaginable. Here you have a “curfew” as an EIGHTEEN year old. Which means that this of the opposite gender can’t be in your dorm room after a certain time at night, and that isn’t even the worst part! You have to leave your dorm room wide open while they are in there and they come around to your room to babysit you every 45 minutes (love that)! They are constantly looking for ways to fine you to make a little bit of money. They came and got me and my friends out of our dorms to drug test us. Even though we haven’t even been around drugs and barley even go out of the dorm unless we are eating or you to class! Not that it was a big deal at first, but they held us at a local clinic for 4-5 hours after we already had not eaten all day, and when they the drug tests came back clean.. said they were going to send them off for a second screening. They also just loaded us up and put us in a white van and didn’t even tell us where we were going until we were already in there and refused to let us out. Most, but not all, of the faculty and administration are very rude and not understanding at all. I hope you never get sick or have a family emergency, because THEY DO NOT CARE. I had more freedom as a high schooler. They do not give you the option to make your own decisions and learn from your mistakes, which is a huge part of life. My friends and I were just sitting in the lobby and got questioned saying we were “acting suspicious” for just sitting there. My own mother doesn’t even question me and treat me like I am a ten year old child. This school treats you like you are a prisoner. Although your visit might go great, and they make everything sound great... when you actually get on campus, it’s a different story. Do yourself a favor and do not waste your time or money going here because they do not care about your privacy or your well-being, all they care about is making a little money. Not to mention the fact that there is absolutely NOTHING to do on or off campus in this town.
Awful school. I left a bad review a year ago and I’m leaving another one. The staff are rude and non responsive. Two years in a row it’s taken 3-4 months or longer for me to be packaged for financial aid. I have to wait to schedule my classes for my final semester because they said I needed to submit my FAFSA that had already been submitted and processed three months ago. The staff will put the blame on you when it’s really them who can’t do their job correctly. I have worked in higher Ed for almost 3 years and I have never seen a school so disorganized. They just want your money. It’s a joke.
Went to gym. Open to residents and students. Thank you Williamsburg. Kids are so nice and respectful.
This school has no heart when it comes to family emergencies. Apparently my financial aid got messed up because of miscommunication. I had to withdraw from classes due to family emergencies. Because I signed off on withdrawal, a refund is not considered. Despite family emergency. After the go around, they have informed me that no one in the university has the authority to refund or adjust my balance. Leaving me with a balance I can not afford out of pocket. Also leaving me not able to continue school until paid in full. Such a disgrace and awful experience!
