REVIEWS OF Collège Inter-Dec IN Côte-Saint-Luc

The Devil's Advocate

(Translated) A disappointment and a scam for all students in VFX and Video Games. In Game Design, InterDec will take your money and your time, but will not give you anything in return, except for faulty technical support (hello the DeepFreeze of all computers which erase all software and updates), license problems , and free software (Unity & Unreal Engine). In a year and a half, the students were invited to only one event related to the field, the job opportunities are zero and the college itself has nothing to do with it; no internship, no special guests. The only opportunity that future game developers have to stand out and be recognized by professionals is the presentation of the end of program project, and even that, it was canceled. Instead of recognized personalities in the industry, it is the friends and contacts of teachers who will evaluate your projects, because InterDec, at the very least, cares about your future. Prepare to spend $ 25,000 +, your energy and your time, in the end, leaving school just as lost as it was upon arrival.

I am graduating from VFX program and video games and I do not recommend college Lasalle / Inter-dec. The school is only interested in your money, the administrative service is to be desired and the courses are almost unstructured. For knowledge, some students even ended up without a teacher for a duration of 1 session at a cost of $ 6900 ($ 9000 for people coming from other country) without compensation. Several guarantees and offers are offered by the college at the beginning of the program .. (all lies). I suggest to anyone interested in the VFX program and video games to look elsewhere for better service, for a better overall experience and to save you from $$$.

Hey, do you have any email id for enquiries. I have been struggling to get a confirmation of fee deposit into my brother's student account. All i have been doing is leaving messages in mailboxes and each department would forward me to another one. Can not get a small piece of information although i have the original receipt of the transaction but i do not know where to forward it or who can tell me what happened to the transaction?

(Translated) Extraordinary programs where the quality of teaching is at the heart of their concerns! (Original) Des programmes extraordinaires ou la qualité de l’enseignement est au cœur de leurs préoccupations!

this should be your ultimate last choice depending on what your going in the only good program is interior design and maybe beauty but all vfx, video games, video editing etc find another place its not worth your money or time. They promise you get everything for the price but they dont care about you and dont follow on their promises. They put people only to take your complaints and money. Worst expenditure of my life 20'000$ that could have gone to sooooo much more. We have spoken to the ones in charge before and have voiced our opinions and still there has been no movement, because those who we speak to have no power to make the changes we need even if they wish to help us. The structure needs to change drastically and promises of change need to be kept.

Scammers and very suspicious school. I wouldn't risk my money there again.

All my teachers were incredible but be careful. This is a business first, then a school. Look at College LaSalle for more of the same feedback. I lost money.

I want to attend interior design school at interdec, can someone who actually studied interior design at interdec leave a comment or review

I am an international student residing in Montreal and I wanted to apply for this college. I actually sent an email to the admission office about an hour ago to make sure that the total fees for international students are around 15000 CAD and asking how I can complete my late application for fall 2018 or alternatively winter 2019. However, the majority of reviews have roasted this college and I got worried about the quality of education, the professors, racism and also my money, since it is very difficult for some international students to save Canadian Dollar due to their home country economical, political and social problems. Is there at least one good feedback from this college preferably in accounting and management technology? because I really cannot imagine that a Canadian educational institution can be that unprofessional and terrible!! :\

I don't recommend InterDec college for hairdressing. It's so expensive and is exactly the same program as the one of the government gives. Even if they said you'll have a very different program, that you'll learn new techniques and advance ones. It's a fraud! more than 10k for something you can pay 500 dollars. 90% of the techniques I learn I threw it out.

Worst academic structure I've ever seen. there is no system in place that assures course quality. As a client, you have no real power what so ever. Ive met two people who are suing the schoool for that exact reason. They kind of just hire people with indusrty experience and shove them in a class that might have nothing to do with their background. 20,000$ is the most expensive game of career russian roulette you'll ever play. For those who sing up in videogame, 3d film or video editing... I'm sorry. The only good thing about this is that you'll have an amazing view of the city on the 8th floor. You can enjoy it as you contemplate your poor life decisions up to this point. P.S. This is not so much a comment on the teachers themselves or the program coordinator. This is rather a comment about the very foundation of this academic structure. Quality control meetings are rarely held (ive seen one in a year) and they are (from a clients perspective) an ornamental convention. At our request, they PROMISED to have monthly meetings for quality control. And they were never heard of again... Funny enough, they made this promise as a response to the unanimous and severe dissatisfaction of. Every. Single. Student chosen to represent their class and program. I imagine your apologies are meaningless and unnecessary to all who comment negatively "Inter-Dec College". Seeing as you are a nonexistent entity in our live, your words are just the echo of our money falling in the bottom of your pit.

Worst school ever on many levels. I suggest you choose another one for better success and opportunities.

(Translated) Unable to make an appointment for hairdressing services. We fell directly on a voicemail and despite having followed all the instructions and left two messages I had no return calls. Really unprofessional. (Original) Impossible de prendre un rendez-vous pour les services de coiffure. On tombe directement sur une boîte vocale et malgré avoir suivi toutes les instructions et laissé deux messages je n'ai eu aucun retour d'appel. Vraiment pas professionnel.

By far the WORST school in the world. The administration is EXTREMELY disorganized, nobody knows what they are doing (except when it comes time to pay your tuition they do whatever they need to do to get your money) On my first day, I went to the office to ask for my schedule, the lady came back and said that unfortunately my class was cancelled because there weren't enough students. After lots of frustration I choose a different course, by the end of that course I was told that I wouldn't get a diploma for it because the Ministry doesn't accept my high school diploma. I graduated with the top grades in the class, but no diploma. After that course, I went back and did the course that I had originally signed up for. This course went well for the most part. I had many run-ins with the director because of my previous course and not getting a diploma for it. Basically I asked for my tuition back and she refused to do anything for me. I took it to lawyer and thats when the director told me maybe she could help me out in some other way, such as being able to use the school's studio and classrooms whenever I wanted, or even a possible job. Either way, that's not what I wanted so I didn't take any of it. I finally dropped the whole thing, and never got a penny back. I ALSO WOULDN'T TRUST ANY OF THESE REVIEWS. When I was in the school the administration would come around and ask students to go to the office and write reviews for them. They clearly choose people who seemed to be having a good experience... obviously they never asked me. I'm guessing its the same case for the teachers and employees because I recognize a lot of their names when scrolling through the reviews.

Structure, quality, over all experience........... awful. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else for 3D animation. For the comment you will reply with, instead of commenting, please take action. All of these negative comments still haven't been acknowledged and improved.
