I spent a few months searching for a school that was going to help me reach a career goal that I set out for myself. I was looking for a good reputation and track record, surprisingly was coming up short and one or both of those departments. Automotive Training Centre came out of nowhere with amazing courses, an administrative director named Brigitte Bouchard with an professional work ethic , warm family like disposition and ability to answer tough questions directly without skirting the issue I.e Finances, probabilities of success, realistic employment projections etc. I’m enrolled and looking forward to finishing out a course and starting my career.

Been doing my course at this school, and it is an amazing school, teachers and Administrators are fantastic, very great hands on course with real life experiences for the Automotive industry! Highly recommend taking a tour of the campus meeting the students, teachers and administrators! Definitely a great experience!

I am speaking honestly and truthfully. First the Administration Staff were enlightening, helpful, and caring. I was in an Automotive Service Operations Specialist Program. The program was eye opening, enjoying, the workload was just comfortable. The material covered was given by Mark, who has many years of experience. our Teacher Allen was and is awesome... school needs few updates like both mens an ladies washroom fixed properly not temp fixes.. still not fixed properly lunch room have better microwave and snack machine and need new color besides green all over... highly recommend the transportation and dispatching course but, building its self well looks good on outside. They tell you they have the best internet in the area no for it frozen more than it works.. they are always after you to pay your tuition when you are struggling to even get to school ..

My honest opinion is that this school is amazing and if you're thinking of going to this school, just do it and don't second guess it. The staff are amazing and will help you with anything. Starting from Brigitte, she was very helpful and so kind when I came to the school when I was applying. Ruby was so kind and took her time in helping me apply for OSAP. David, the director is very welcoming and kind. Wally, the safety teacher is also kind and very helpful. Afonso is hands down the best teacher you can get ! The other students are also very helpful and they will make you feel welcomed and they are all very friendly. Overall I'm very happy choosing this school and would definitely recommend it to everyone who wants to get in the automotive field.

My Experience at CATI: "I am writing to tell you what my thoughts and goals where when I started at CATI. CATI made the transition easier going back to school at an advanced age, when you are starting a second career later in life. The course that I took Transportation Operation Specialist Program. The instructor was very professional in what he taught us and from his experiences in the working world, he was able to help us with the problems that would arise during the course and to help us improve our skills. The main course that I took was Transportation Operations Specialist Diploma Program which taught me all aspects of the trucking industry. My 17 years as a truck driver I thought I knew everything about the trucking industry. There where many areas that I thought I knew about, but then I realized that I didn’t know that much. The computer software that I learned was PC Miler, Xpert Dispatch, Fleet Manager Pro and how to successfully put a route together and get a truck from point A to point B. the theory part of the course was very interesting, it taught me all aspects from Load and Securement to Hours of Service to Logbook Auditing and so much more. The instructor was a very knowledgeable about all the subjects that we covered. His experiences in the trucking industry was a great help to me as I saw that there was more to trucking than what I thought. His patience with us when we would have trouble with either the computer part or the theory part helped me to understand the course a lot better. In closing, I would like to say that CATI met my expectations, I didn’t realize that this school even existed but once my case worker directed me to here I am happy that I chose CATI as the school to further my education. All the people from Bill Wilcox & John Kerr and the instructors made it an enjoyable time and that they where there for the students to help them to get back into the workforce. I would strongly recommend CATI to anyone who was re-entering into the workforce if they have an interest in the transportation industry, as I really enjoyed my time there." Thank you

I took the course loved it. Ted is an amazing teacher. The staff are good. Had my own personal isues that made it so i did some extra time but they were willing to alow me to do so. Also got to meet an retired nhl player marcel dionne was an amazing day. I recomend the school to anyone but if you are going to do it make sure you go to school and watch your attendance and go to school. Lots of hands on learning with an balance of class and shop work if you use your time wisely you will go far in this course. Ted takes the time to help with what you are struggling with pay attention to detail and study the book work for your tests and you will be on your way to a great career in the automotive industry.

The course Itself is great however it involves a lot of web based training and the internet is to slow. Trying to search for a job or anything involving the internet does not work with the internet that are using.

"Professor Smoking In the Class" I wanted to do "Transportation Operations and Dispatching Services" from here. My overall experience went well with Brigite, Ruby and Professor Mark Yardy till I met and talked with David. I was greeted and treated well till the first day of my actual online class. Unprofessionalism started when I was not given instructions on how, when and where would I be doing my online classes. I was literally emailed an hour early to join my first class. When I joined I saw my professor "smoking" live while attending the class which I strongly believe is extremely unprofessional. When I mention these issues with David and decided to withdraw from the course he started saying things like I paid for your software licensing and you will have to pay for it. They did not return my $200 deposit but I'm happy that I saved over $8,000 by withdrawing from this program.

Staff are great. The course itself, is alot more in depth of them trying to get you to understand the indepth theory of what a subject is, ie. 4 weeks on learning formulas JUST to understand the coefficient of friction, opposed to how to measure the brake pad itself and replace. Alot of wasted time on such things as that, however, its 1000 hours off your apprenticeship. So pick your battles;) otherwise it is a phenomenal little society of close knit students and teachers. As new commercial join and the senior students go, I've not yet seen a situation where the whole class doesn't jive as a whole. Its a great learning atmosphere student/teacher based. The shop is alright, Has the basics, but if your looking for specialties...here is not it. However some of the teachers do have backgrounds in some places. Enjoy! I did!

Brigitte was very pleasant and very easy to talk to. She's still very pleasant and very knowledgeable. Comes into our class and socialize with us and jokes around with us on regular basis.I would highly recommend you to call Brigitte. The teacher Afanso is very knowledgeable and also very easy to talk to. Radmila helped me with OSAP and finances and was very helpful. I can't forget about the director, David is very kind and always available to give advice and make sure his door is always open if we need anything.

My instructor was great very knowledgable and what Paul didn't know he would help to find the answers to, in class he would answer any questions I had. That's where anything good about this place stops though, the director is a joke and goes to any length to make sure the shop does not get the funding it needs for tools and equipment. The diagnostics scanner is 8 years out of date but he won't even push for funding for an update to it. And the very few times I went to this director with complaints or concerns I was treated with both disinterest and arrogance, the man is extremely unprofessional and incapable of properly running the college. And the other AT instructor was a bumbling fool, he lacks basic knowledge of anything automotive. He cannot diagnose the most basic of problems, to the point of calling a burnt out wheel bearing "tire harmonics" while the vehicle was up on the hoist. If something doesn't change within the administration soon this college will find itself flat on its face.

My Experience with this Training Centre was wonderful, Specially our Teacher( Mr. Afonso Albuquerque) who got approx. experience of over 35 years in this industry. It was 10 months course but went quicker as we all had such great time working together as a team. Also all Staff members were very professional and encouraging in each steps through out the course. With Zero experience in this industry got chance to learn hand to hand plus online Course. I would highly recommend to all others out there who looking for better Automotive training center. Come to this Training Centre @ Cambridge location you will get everything what you looking for. Once again Thank you all the staffs and my crews who were very supportive throughout the course.

I have just completed the Transportation and Operations Dispatch course here at ATC. I have to admit that it was one of the best decisions I have made so far. My instructor Mark Yardy made this program absolutely enjoyable. His extensive knowledge and experience in the trucking industry gave so much insight into the core of the business that more often gets overlooked. If I could I would absolutely do this all over again as that is how much I have enjoyed this learning experience. Class of 2019 Marshmellows!!! ????

I never thought I would ever go back to school after high school....but here I am at the Cambridge Automotive Training Centre! The whole staff is amazing! Brigitte Bouchard (one of the administrators) was the one who got me into this program and she is incredible! She made my dreams come true and made it unbelievably easy for me to register and get started fast! There is so much to learn about so many vehicles and the pre-apprenticeship course teaches you pretty much everything. The teachers are so experienced and come from the trade so they have real world knowledge on how things work from years and years of actual hands on experience. Afonzo is the teacher in this course and is a fantastic role model for any student. He will teach you the proper way to do things and lead you on how to become a great technician. He will show you how employers these days want things done and what they look for so you can be successful in the field. It’s everything you need to know really. The whole team at this institution is by far the friendliest and most down to earth people you will meet. They have been super welcoming since day 1. Brigitte even went out of her way and stayed at the school past hours to get me registered since I was working full time and couldn’t get out of work in time to make it to the school! 120% recommend coming to this school. Even the students are all friendly and a great bunch to be classmates with. Overall a great environment to be in. You may think this is over the top but I have honestly never been this happy to be in school in my life. I can’t stress it enough but again I seriously recommend this college. If you put your efforts in, this team will help you achieve. They want you going places. Super supportive and helpful in every way. They also help you get set up with OSAP for student funding if you need (Radmila is also outstanding). Sorry about this rant, but the above is all true information and I hope you find it useful! If you are interested in anything automotive AT ALL, call this school and talk to somebody. Ask the questions you want answered and take a risk! I did it and so did all the other students and I don’t think Im the only one who thinks this was one of the greatest decisions made. Go for your dreams!!!

This school is a joke. Ever since Afonso left, no one is learning anything and shop times have become pointless, there has been barely any vehicles to actually work on lately unless you have problems with your own vehicle but even then you dont get the proper tools to do most work on any vehicle anyways. NONE of the teachers treat this like a job and actually care about their students learning. This has been the worst learning experience I have been through since Afonso left. I regret coming here. I do not recommend this school to anyone who is wanting to pursue mechanics as they do not teach you anything since Afonso left.

I took the Automotive Technology program. It was a very good program. The instructors were great and we got a lot of time in the shop. I took this course because it was much shorter than community college but a lot more info is taught in the 39 weeks and you get more practical than in community college. Yes I would recommend this school and program.
