Great school with some of the best professors you'll find anywhere. Loved seeing it develop over the last decade into a top-tier university. There are other campuses, and the Chilliwack one is great, but this is the defacto location. Go and walk around campus and check it out. All it needs is a nearby grocery store and a better university district to build up around it -- the good news is that the city has developed a U-District plan in partnership with UFV. Can't wait to see it grow even better in the coming years.

The education provided there is good in terms of proper accreditation, student culture, quality of education, and prestige/recognition. But getting answers from staff/receptionists is a whole different story. You literally have to pull teeth to get any answers, even as a paying student. My physical files, records, and homework have gotten lost more times than I can count. My emails and voice messages have been ignored even more than that. I was also getting bullied and belittled by staff, but that's a different story. I see that other reviewers have been bullied by their professors too, which is worrisome to say the least.

I think UFV is a great school! However I wish the website was easier to use. I struggle a lot with the website and wish they would put a step by step video of how to register for courses and had more information on future semesters coming up. I find myself stressed out because the website isn't easy to use and all I want is to make sure I am enrolled for school.

In my 3rd year and regularly recommend this school to my friends. Small class sizes, cheap tuition, and friendly professors. As with most schools, there are still lots of professors that read off the slides and it would need nice if it offered more fun things to do around campus, UFV is definitely more of a commuter school. Despite this, I would still HIGHLY recommend if you live in the Fraser Valley.

Finally graduated from UFV. This school has a great community if you choose to involve yourself. Unfortunate that it's a commuter school and on campus living isn't in order yet, but it all depends on the student and what they want out of this school. If you want a great school experience, UFV can provide you with that. If you want things changed you can totally do that as well. It's a still growing university so your will becomes your school. Enjoy the time you have in school. Utilize what they have to offer, ask questions and stick your head out to see what's going on at the campuses.

Applied for ABE and instantly got a phone call along with a letter in the mail. The only downfall is the wait and requirements to get into BSN program :( I would rather go to Alberta and do school there, but other then that UFV is amazing

Very poor follow up !! I applied for 2021 intake they didn’t even tried to call and tell me what need to be done ✅ in order to process the application I called three times every week since the submission of my application and finally the said prior to one month of the beginning of the program that I need this and that !! Very poor communication! Very careless !! Wasted my time !

UFV provides an amazing educational experience. Class sizes are small and there are plenty of opportunities to really get to know your professors. There are some really helpful support systems available for students to help them succeed in school. I give UFV a lot of credit for my personal and professional success.

UFV gives priority registration to athletes and other "special" students. Some of which have far worse GPAs that the other students trying to apply. So by the time you are allowed to register, some of your classes might be already full because other "special" students were given a chance to register before you.

Transferred from Winnipeg to here. Paid the registration fees and whatever else. Now I'm screwed for my first semester because my advisors are NEVER THERE. MY APPOINTMENTS HAVE BEEN CANCELED TWICE. I'm upset because they seem to have good reviews but not with my experience. I work full time as well, so disorganized. Staff on the phone calls where rushing so I couldn't even formulate my questions or have them answered. Disappointed and probably just lost $250 because of their disorganized and because I'm not really inclined to attended there. I dont suggest you going there unless your prepared to wait months and still have to be rescheduled time and time again till you cant even get in! Thank you for screwing my education University of Fraser Valley. Good on ya! I appreciate it so much!

Snow plowed that whole parking lot about a year and a half ago. It was freezing cold but well worth it. I hope others can appreciate what other snow plowers do in the middle of the night so people can get to work in the morning and not have to hit black/slippery ice in the morning.

The campus of the main campus is very, very small. The library is not as big as my junior high school campus! Going to any college is better than this school, and getting in is pitting money! The school facilities are terrible, even the tim horton inside does the same as ????! What's not to like about UFV? Small class sizes, committed and well-versed instructors, lower tuition in comparison with other universities, flexible and helpful staff. I could go on and on, but the bottom line is that UFV is one community that works!

Mainly in one big building. Some areas are under construction. A lot of parking space/lot. Pretty convenient to HWY 1. Some living communites are nearby. Not many programs are available compares to UBC and SFU. Overall experience is ok.

The only problem is that they have too many students coming from India and it does not help create multicultural environment. But it is still awesome to learn from great instructors.

UFV is a great little university. The class sizes are small, so students get a chance to paricipate and interact with each other more during class time. In comparasin to larger institutions, such as UBC, SFU, McGill, UofT, UofO, York, and several others, class sizes are usually 3 or 4 times larger than UFV's class sizes. It's a growing university; in 10 years it will probably experience a significant increase in student population growth.

I have applied for this university in computer info sys diploma with 60 percent in maths 12th as a additional sub+medical field but university refused my application by saying that i have no maths12 but they are wrong ,they didn't check my application carefully . Very over capacity. It's a struggle to get in the courses you want or need. In Business classes you get stuck in a lot of groups which are usually horrible as everyone is usually weighted evenly on projects. They do have a few gems for teachers but there are quite a few horrid ones (the gems are what brings it to a two star). Poor rating seem to have no effect to the correction of this. Student union forces you to pay for stuff you don't need or use as well. Have friends in SFU that seem to really like it there compared to here.

UFV is a warped reflection of what a university should be. A place where the enthustiastic serve as punching bags for the narrow-minded & disinterested. An excellent place to go if you would like to get bullied by your teacher, everyone else should avoid at all costs.
