So many things wrong as soon as we walked in. The lady looked miserable and not very welcoming. I had booked our weekend stay here because I was told that they accept debit/Mastercard that all we needed to do was pay the deposit and pay for the rooms at checkout, and if everything was all good with the room we would receive the deposit back. Upon checking in the clerk asked that we make a full payment for deposit and room. When I tried to mention that I was told different she immediately interrupted me and said otherwise. Everytime I tried to ask a question she would talk over me and don't give me a chance to speak until I raised my voice. Then I asked to speak to the Manger and what was the use she had no better customer service skills and told us to go to the next hotel over. However, I gave it the benefit of the doubt and just paid the full amount. It got even more disappointing cause the hotel hallway and room had a dingy smell to it as well as having some damage to the room already. I felt so bad and deeply devastated as I planned the weekend for my son's birthday, he deserved better then this. Next time I'll do better research, they probably need the money more then I do if they can't even afford to give a better customer experience.

The only bad thing about this place was the hard bed. And the super hot comforter. Otherwise, super clean, friendly staff and an excellent location. Secure elevator and underground parking too!

Very close to the university, as this was our primary reason for the trip to Calgary. The rooms were clean and staff are very friendly but the thin mattress was uncomfortable.

I have been staying at this hotel quite often in the last year, and the service I have received often goes above and beyond when comparing to other establishments I have visited. They take pride in helping their customers and your problems become their personal challenges to overcome. Early on in the beginning of COVID, when something was not right, they promptly rectified the issue and also offered compensation for any minor inconvenience. Most recently, with a much larger problem, they spent the whole day trying to help and accommodate me, all while keeping the hotel running with new and existing customers. Their efforts are noticed and their genuine willingness to help is second to none.

Sun Rise

We had such a lovely stay here. Room was modern and clean. Only dropped one star because the morning we checked out, the front desk staff was being rude to a BIPOC gentleman, and then he was rude to us when we asked what the breakfast was that morning. There was no need for that attitude. Also the garage was full of garbage bags and smelled awful. Otherwise fine.
