The only complain is the road restructuring. However, this is out of control of the hotel management. Otherwise everything is perfect.

Air didn't work very good, bedding had a sheet rather than a blanket. Check in guy was great. Clean room

The hotel was awesome nice and clean and safe as well. It was right buy the staduim and the restaurant. I would stay there again if I ho to calgary.

Pro's: Budget friendly and and close to a light train station. Floor is laminate, in my opinion this is more hygienic than rugs. Bathroom was clean. Con's: Noisy at night because of trains passing. This hotel is a good choice if you are looking for a budget friendly one and don't have a light sleep

Our stay was what we have come to expect. No unpleasant surprises. Clean room, good water pressure, pleasant staff. All in all, a good clean “no fuss, no muss” hotel.

Room was great overall. Housekeeping knocked on door early so no impressed, and 1 sugar for two people, need to add some items to the room.

Very nice place to stay and they've been doing tons of renovations to keep it nice. Just make sure not to book at the other econlodge just 2 blocks away, that place is an old dirty dump with tons of addicts hanging around

The service was great; friendly and helpful. My room was clean and well kept, even though it is well used.

Nice and comfortable stay and central. The hotel met our expectations and the staff were very helpful in assisting with the directions to various places that we inquired about.

I booked a room for about a week from now but I had questions about my future stay. It was the worst customer service I've ever experienced. Did not catch her name, but she decided to cut me off and never let me finish my sentences. The whole time she had attitude. Whoever you are, learn how to talk to people. That was the rudest phone call.

If your disabled dont book here .you will get a room miles from the elevator .If you prebook they promise you a room with easy access just to fill the hotel .Then when you arrive your room wont be what you asked for .

The guy on the front desk was nice and checked me in right away however when he couldn’t find my reservation even it was there when his supervisor helped him find it, he doubled up the booking so I got charged twice on my credit card. I have to make sure now they won’t charge me for another booking. Hallways and elevator are not maintained, smelly, no sanitizer even when there’s a dispenser. I couldn’t get in my room the first time as my card wasn’t working. When I got to my room it was so hot, hairs everywhere, floor is not even mopped, pillows smell so BAD. I was moved to another room. Still the same. I don’t feel comfortable using their pillows and blanket I had to buy my own. The only thing that was good about my stay was the guy named Mark at the reception, he was accommodating and was able to solve matters. Definitely won’t recommend staying here.

It was handy for us because we prefer the motel type rooms with outside access. They hotel offered us a small discount for the stay because we where there to go to the children's hospital. …

We booked 3 nights to stay while attending a swim meet. Booked a couple weeks ago. Drove 3 hours through a snowstorm, finally got here, go to check in and we were asked for our credit card. Said it was my mother's and Marilyn said "too bad, needs to be YOUR cc" and I said it had said nowhere while booking that this would be an issue. Stayed a few times before with no issue. I got my mum on the phone and all of a sudden there WAS something she could do. So she sends a form to my mum to sign so my mum cancels her plans to race home to print, sign, and return this form so we can stay. I asked Marilyn why this was the case when it wasn't before but she never heard the question as she interrupted me and threatened to cancel the reservation right there. I pleaded with her not too and she asked where we were going to be while she waited for the form. I said "here?" but she said I couldn't. I was asking her why this was, as in was this Calgary's thing or Alberta's. Again, she never heard as she interrupted me and just cancelled the reservation right there. So here we are, 3 hours from home, kicked out of a hotel with no provocation or reason, and nowhere to stay. I could not recommend this place less. I've worked hotels and restaurants and bars and all kinds of customer service jobs. I have rarely seen such terrible service. I was a briefly rude to Marilyn leaving but this was after all this and she deserved it wholeheartedly. I declare right here that at no point up until the very last parting word was I rude or did I raise my voice at any stage. Marilyn wouldn't let any single person complete a sentence before shutting them down. Not me, my mother, or even my daughter. On top of that, while my whole family scrambled to help us and we had nowhere to go, Marilyn threatened to call the cops on us. Completely unwarranted for this as well. We were quiet and just trying to make alternative arrangements.

I book all my hotels using air miles and then I call right after to state I will have my dog so the hotel can make adjustments and charge a pet fee. Never once have I had an issue and the gentleman I originally spoke to immediately after I booked with Econo Lodge said no problem they have a room available for the date requested and will make note on my file that I’m bringing a dog. He said he is in during the evening and will tend to it. I called to confirm in the evening and the lady said no cannot accommodate and then hung up. As someone who owns a business myself, never would I expect a client to come back being treated that way. Upon speaking with the front desk further the gentleman who assured me he will take care of it says sorry they unfortunately gave the rooms away and cannot assist. I asked what he would like me to do, I guess leave the dog in the vehicle he said yes sorry. Does not sound like their manager cares about their word either. Never once in my 6 years of booking with air miles then calling the hotel to let them know I’ll have a pet have I had an issue. I even had a hotel once make an exception to another room that is not pet friendly as they wanted to help accommodate my dog. Always had a welcoming experience anywhere else. I’ve also never written a bad review of a company because I don’t care if you don’t stick by your word to me but when it involves my dog, he’s my world so since I cannot cancel he will have to stay in the vehicle. Please make sure you do not do this to another client as it’s hot days and not everyone will leave their vehicle running for hours with AC and animals can die from the heat. Shame on you Econo Lodge, I’ll definitely be taking this as far as I can with Consumer Association of Canada, Air Miles and the BBB.

Staff helpful. Friendly. Hotel close to transit. Beds comfy.
