The hotel is very clean and still looks brand new. Some parts did feel a bit dark and uninviting. The breakfast was perfect. The staff very friendly and polite. Wish we had the option to stream Netflix in the rooms.

Booked for two nights and only stayed one night due to an emergency. I spoke to the receptionist and I was assured I’ll get a day refund. Well that NEVER happened and I was charged two nights. Not good.

Excellent service at this conveniently located hotel just a few steps to the tram. Food and beverage services are high quality and low price. Rooms are very clean and quiet. I would highly recommend this hotel.

The room was modern looking but it was VERY dark in the shower and toilet area. There is no light above the shower area but only one above the toilet. I think if they changed the lightbulbs to brighter ones it could help with brightening up the area. The bed, pillows and bedding were pretty comfortable. Check in staff were super friendly and helpful! We did find a floss pick left behind by a past guest that was missed by housekeeping on the window sill that was pretty gross. But otherwise, the rest of the room was pretty clean.

The bathroom has a sliding door that doesn’t close all the way. There’s no fan. There’s no way to hide what’s going on in there. You will learn a lot about the people you stay with and the state of their digestion. But the price is right and the location is great! The shower closet is great! The breakfast buffet is okay, the price is reasonable for what you get, and the rooms are okay. We had one issue with a fire alarm that wouldn’t stop. Someone smoked up in her room, and apparently hotel staff can’t turn the alarms off - the fire department needed to come out even though there was obviously no fire. They took over an hour to get there. At 11pm.

Very nice hotel - best rates within the city and great value! Lots of amenities like pool, extremely large lounge area, exercise room and awesome full breakfast buffet included. Even has a spa onsite❣️Staff are very friendly and accommodating- I was able to email a document for printing and they called once it was done.

Front desk very accommodating and easy to deal with. Beds are very comfortable. Lacking in the food department but thats no thanks to covid restrictions.

It was a very good experience. Staffs members were very friendly and helpful. Good breakfast in the morning. Besides, free parking, cleanliness and the swimming pool with a gym makes it a perfect place to stay close to the C-train and other amenities.

My stay was brief checking in at 3am and checking out by 9:30am, however the room was clean and the bed was super comfy, loved the shower as well. Next time would like to enjoy the pool, etc. The breakfast was good, would recommend this hotel to couples and anyone on business trips. Thank-you

Clearly an old hotel remodeled into an aloft. Had to change rooms due to first having a musty smell. Second was better but strong carpet fresh smell. Hallways are dark and really winding/twisted. Rooms are small and not open, modern feeling like I expected from a modern hotel. Staff was very friendly, very good breakfast.

I spent 2 months at this hotel. Manager was super helpful and friendly, as were all the staff. Food in restaurant was delicious and bar tendering staff were highly professional. Super breakfast. Access to underground parking was a bonus. Rooms were clean, quiet and comfortable with large showers. I would highly recommend this hotel. Thank you Aloft team for making me feel at home.

Let me start by saying I am not a guest of the hotel... However, from my very positive experience I am deciding to leave a review. I came into their lounge for a meal and was served by a woman in a blue suit jacket, she was a super sweet lady and the service was great. Food was delicious and well-portioned. Shortly after settling the bill, I then went up to the Desk to inquire about the hotel, as I haven’t set foot in an Aloft before... I’ve got to say I was extremely pleased with the conversation I had with a socially approachable Christina. She had extensive knowledge about the hotel itself and gave me detailed information based off all of my questions. Overall the Aloft seems like an incredible place! My family and I, will be back in the future to stay. Thanks to everyone.

Nice rooms. Hallways are a bit of a maze. Nice restaurant with a reasonable menu. Fish and chips were okay but the bison burger was good. The decoration and ambiance tries a little too hard to be 'hip'.

I’m happy with my stay, room was nice, on the add it did state there was amenities for pets like food bowls etc. Was not offered those things while checking in with my pet. Along with check out was not offered the breakfast has to go back to inquire about it.

Nice rooms - quiet, clean and warm rooms, poorly lit hallways. The restaurant is open but the advertised breakfast is reduced to a paperbag with with a joghurt and a cookie - excuse is Covid-19. Strange that you can buy an a la carte breakfast in the restaurant during Covid against your own money but they tell you they can not serve breakfast due to Covid-19

The interior design is contemporary modern, it has a millenial feel to it. The floor plan for the rooms are a little bit weird especially if you're in the king rooms. I'm always down to free hot breakfast, so if you're like me who likes a good hotel hot breakfast, this is the place to stay.

Had a wonderful stay here for a night. Feels very upscale for the price you pay and has a very social atmosphere. A very nice bar, modern styling and a 24 hour pantry so you can always grab a snack for a reasonable price. Staff treated me very professionally and friendly as well. I'll be looking into staying here or at another whenever possible!

Great location near the university and the transcanada highway. problem is - it's not the only one. Wish I knew they were accommodating students on quarantine so I could have avoided them this time around. we still found some areas in the room that weren't properly cleaned, let alone covid-cleaned. This hotel has an excellent handicap accessible room. Giant bathroom with drive-in shower. Lots of room. Bath chair and everything were in place. This is my Calgary Favourite. Amazing and friendly staff, higher up rooms facing downtown (south) are super quiet and you can easily access all major thoroughfares to downtown, mountains or airport.

I attend yearly meetings held at Aloft Calgary University and I am always very satisfied with the facilities. The room is always a good size, food is always plentiful and tasty, there is always lots of coffee/tea (though the tea selection is weak) and the staff is outstanding and always ready and willing to help! I really look forward to my meetings here as it's a very enjoyable experience!

The hotel is really modern and nice. The restaurant is very pratical when cold outside or if you don't want to get out, the staff is also really friendly. The train is just in front, so it's quite easy when you want to go around. We also enjoyed the breakfast in the morning. We had a really nice stay at Aloft, and would return. You can even wash your clothes ;)

It was an awesome experiences for me. The beds were comfy, the breakfast had lots of variety on display, the staff were super friendly. It was super thrilled with the pleasant surprise of a Champagne in my room fridge and a congratulatory message on our Anniversary.

I usually change my reviews when business improves issues and deserve to get a more positive review. This is the first time I am going in the opposite direction. My wife, daughter and I had a reservation at this hotel that was cancelled because our credit card was not available. Understanding the need for a damage deposit, we said that they could get the amount from our bank account and refund it at the check out after room inspection. They refused and kicked us out. We drove to the Holiday Inn next door that received us with open arms, understanding our situation and being very courteous. Due to my work, I am in Calgary at least three nights per month, multiply it times 12 months, and you can see how much money they will lose...plus referrals that I will not send to this place... our training facilities are located in Calgary. We have customers coming from all over Canada; I referred two only this month. One word to management, if your customer satisfaction is not your top priority, your competitor will capitalize on it.
