I really can't say enough about the quality of my experience with Terre Boreale. Our guide Max, with his energy enthusiasm and his love of the wilderness really made this trip for me. I had never done any canoeing or wilderness camping and Max, through his skill and experience made me totally comfortable. The planning and execution of this trip was truly amazing and the food...over an open flame...was excellent. I highly recommend this 13 day canoe trip and this company Dennis Harris White Rock B.C

We had Max as our Northern Light Hunter and he is terrific. He is extremely knowledgeable and is eager to share his passion with us. As we waited for the northern lights, Max showed us (with binoculars) the celestial stars and explained what made them special. In addition, we were treated like VIPs with folding lawn chairs, hot bottles to warm us up, hot tea, brownies, coats, blankets, gloves and so much more. Max was more than prepared to ensure we had a great time while watching the northern lights. If you want to have the best possible experience watching the northern lights, we strongly recommend Max.

We planned a family aurora night viewing with Terre Boreale on Jan 21 2020 despite a cloudy day and it turned out to be an amazing experience. Max was our guide and he took us to several locations to try and find the aurora. Max is very professional and knows his stuff, also the vehicle and equipment is clean and comfortable. They were the only company that accepted to take our young kids for the aurora viewing and the kids loved it. Max took the time to show our daughter the cosmos by adjusting the equipment for her height, it was great! Closer to the end of the night, we finally saw the auroras. Max took us to the best possible spot because ahead and behind us there were clouds. We waited in the warm van while eating cookies and drinking tea when Max said we should go outside now. We had time to set up some cameras when the sky opened up and the auroras appeared. It was spectacular and he knew where to be; a true sign of experience. Next time we are in Whitehorse, we will definitely book with them again! Thank you!!

Le programme était alléchant, ce qui n'a pas empêché le séjour de tenir toutes ses promesses ! Cela tient avant tout au souci apporté par Terre Boréale aux moindres détails de leur prestation. J'ai été agréablement surpris par la quantité de choses auxquelles nos guides ont pensé afin de nous rendre la vie la plus agréable possible pendant ce séjour, à commencer par la nourriture ! Depuis que j'ai quitté le Yukon, pas un seul jour ne passe sans que je ne repense avec une douce nostalgie aux cookies préparés par Miléna et Max. Au-delà du souci organisationnel dont ils ont fait preuve, j'ai particulièrement apprécié chez Miléna, Max ainsi que chez François - qui, avec Max, nous a guidés sur le terrain durant ce séjour - leur propension à aller au-delà d'une "simple" relation client/prestataire de service, ayant ainsi laissé la place à des échanges authentiques, lesquels ont fortement participé à la bonne ambiance installée au sein du groupe et contribué de ce fait à faire de notre séjour une expérience également riche humainement. Enfin, je n'oublie pas l'engouement avec lequel nos guides ont su, tout au long du séjour, partager leur intérêt marqué pour la faune, la flore mais également l'histoire des coins et recoins qu'ils nous ont fait découvrir, joignant ainsi l'utile à l'agréable. We used to go with famous French adventure travel agencies, but we were amazed by the professionalism of Milena and Max. Before setting foot in Whitehorse, we had already exchanged long: general organization of the stay, of course, and many details about our trekking equipment (shoes, gaiters, down, backpack, ...). One of the keys to this type of trip! The advice of Max, who is also professional in the field of outdoor equipment, must be respected! The size of the group (6 clients maximum) allows a very personalized approach, and with very interesting discussions. During the week of canoeing, we went from surprise to surprise as to the exceptional quality of the meals! All "homemade", very varied, with fresh products! Never seen ! And probably unbeatable! On the river, many explanations about the fauna (Max and Miléna spotted everything: birds, bears, lynx, moose, ...), and historical remains. The bivouac places are chosen with care. Then the famous Donjek trek! A millimeter organization for an XXL experience !!! The day before departure, everyone was given a bear-proof bag, with its share of the common material, and dehydrated meals (always homemade!), Carefully labeled. Even the snacks, delicious cereal bars, are prepared by our hosts! The equipment provided (tents, bowl, titanium cutlery, ...) is of very good quality, light enough, perfectly adapted to harsh conditions. This trek took us to a truly wild nature! Nous avons l’habitude de partir avec des agences françaises réputées de voyage d’aventure, mais nous avons été émerveillés par le professionnalisme de Miléna et Max. Avant de poser le pied à Whitehorse, nous avions déjà longuement échangé : organisation générale du séjour, bien sûr, et de nombreuses précisions concernant notre équipement de trek ( chaussures, guêtres, duvet, sac à dos, ...). L’une des clés de ce type de voyage ! Les conseils de Max, qui est d’ailleurs aussi professionnel dans le domaine de l’équipement outdoor, sont à respecter absolument ! La taille du groupe ( 6 clients maximum) permet une approche très personnalisée, et avec de très intéressantes discussions. Lors de la semaine de canoë, nous sommes allés de surprise en surprise quant à l’exceptionnelle qualité des repas ! Tout «fait maison « , très varié, avec des produits frais ! Du jamais vu ! Et probablement inégalable ! Sur la rivière, nombreuses explications à propos de la faune ( Max et Miléna repèrent tout : oiseaux, ours, lynx, orignal, ...), et des vestiges historiques. Les lieux de bivouac sont choisis avec soin. Ensuite, le fameux trek du Donjek ! Une organisation au millimètre pour une expérience XXL !!! La veille du départ, chacun s’est vu remettre un sac à l’épreuve des ours, avec sa part du matériel commun, et des repas déshydratés ( toujours faits maison ! ), soigneusement étiquetés. Même les snacks, délicieuses barres de céréales, sont préparés par nos hôtes ! Le matériel fourni ( tentes, gamelle, couverts en titane, ...) est de très bonne qualité,suffisamment léger, parfaitement adapté aux conditions rudes. Ce trek nous a emmenés dans une nature vraiment sauvage ! Nous n’avons rencontré absolument personne en 10 jours de marche. Une expérience inédite, même si nous avons déjà randonné, à pied ou en kayak, dans des régions du monde peu fréquentées ( Côte Est du Groenland, Baie du Roi au Spitzberg, Massif du Makay à Madagascar, ...). Paysages grandioses, chaque jour différents, observations de la grande faune, le rêve du trekkeur amateur de nature ! Et là aussi, Miléna et Max sont aux petits soins pour leurs clients, avec beaucoup d’ attention et de gentillesse. Max a une très bonne connaissance du terrain, et nous nous sommes toujours sentis en sécurité, malgré l’éloignement et l’absence de sentiers. My experience, a week-long tour of the southern Yukon Mountains, was superb. We saw not only the usual tourist sites, but several that were certainly off the beaten track. The visits to the summit of Mount Anderson, Mount Bell and Mount Becker, as well as several smaller ones, were fascinating. The Mountains can be overwhelming, but our guides pointed out the most significant route and methods for climbing and it made a difference. The organization of the tour and the accommodations were excellent and the meals, superb. Our 2 guides, Max and Dan, were enormously knowledgeable, caring and funny, did a wonderful job of sharing their knowledge, and were charming companions, as well. They pushed our limits without ever going over or making us feel uncomfortable. They talked about the animals and plants on the landscape and we saw bears, Cariboo, moose, eagles and falcons. It was an experience of a lifetime and the Yukon is a place that should not be missed. This was their first trip in 20 months and the rust didn’t show. Calmness on the part of the guides helped us achieve things that we did not think we could. I would strongly recommend Max and his company for any Yukon adventures as they know the lay of the land and were approachable and flexible when it came to planning our adventure.
