I imported a Toyota Landcruiser from Japan. My Import Agent told me to go to an insurance place in New Westminster, since he had done many "first time registrations" with this dealer. He said, go to the New West dealer and they'll have it done quickly. HOWEVER, I needed an insurance place closer to the US Border because I had business to do in Blaine before the end of the day. New West was too far to go. So my good buddy, Don, recommended Westland. I am very glad he did. The office in White Rock was clean and large and efficient. A nice young lady helped me and had the backing of another very knowledgeable lady at that office. My sense was that these folks really knew their business. The lady that helped me was named "Kirsten" or "Kiren" I think? I know it started with a K. Registering a Japanese vehicle in Canada for the first time is not an easy process. There is a mountain of paper to go through and a visual site check of the new VIN is required. This office did a great job! I can't say enough good things about the staff at this office.

I mentioned about my premium kept going up and she reviewed my policy carefully and found out that the territory code was entered incorrectly previously. She took her time to call up an agent at ICBC to confirm and documented the conversion with the agent in my file and adjusted the code for me. It ended up saving me almost $900 on my premium! Called in to ask a few questions about insurance and what sheets I need to fill out and if I can bring any papers to expedite the process. The woman was very curt and saying things like "you're breaking up I can't hear you" when the connection was totally fine. The messaging service for their office said everything is done online and through the phone, but then this woman told me all offices are open. Then after telling me we had to come in I had a few more questions about what we need to bring in and she promptly hung up.
