We have been clients of Johnston Meier for several years now. We have always received excellent advice and guidance from our go to girl, Trish. This was never more evident than when our condo was destroyed by fire in May 2016. Our coverage was excellent, so we did not have to worry about that. Trish was even present when we arrived at the designated evacuation Center. She went above and beyond, supplying information and support at a really stressful time. During the two years it took for the rebuild, we were in constant contact with Trish. She continued to advise and guide us through the process. We recently renewed our home insurance. Again, she advised and researched a provider that saved us several hundred dollars a year, while offering excellent coverage. I would highly recommend Johnston Meier for all of your insurance needs. Had an issue with corporate and had to move polices. White Rock was helpful and responsive in dealing with the issue and corporate reached out. But I would not recommended getting life from this company.

Our "agent" clearly didn't read up on the duties of agency. Every other agent sends renewal reminders. This one said ICBC would remind us. Poppycock! And when our zero deductible came up, that agent (same office) ran us around with emails an phone calls while they we ot ot town. Almost missed the renewal. The name is strong but individual offices vary. Check carefully before deciding.

The one I usually deal with in Mission Junction is always great, but at this location in White Rock on 152 st wasn't as good. There seemed to be a lot of miscommunication, and while the woman was very helpful, caused a lot of problems I had to resolve later on. Perhaps language barrier? Or she was new? Either way, I'll play it safe and go to a different location.

I've been renewing my car insurance here for years and have had a typical experience - efficient and quick. However, this year I was met with a very combative and rude clerk. I entered the store and commented ( in a positive, small talk type of way) " wow, things have changed alot since last year" referring to all of the safety pro-cautions in place as mid march last year Covid was just starting to rear it's ugly head. The clerk said started arguing with me right away, stating that they were not open the same time last year - I bought my insurance from there on the same day 1 yr ago. She continued to tell me why I was wrong - weird! ( it was a one sided conversation) I then mentioned that my address had changed and it was correct on my drivers license. A few moments later she asked me if I was still on marine drive, I let her know that my drivers license had the correct address - I assumed she didn't hear me. She made a point of telling me I was wrong and I had pointed to my drivers license when I said it was the wrong address. This continued with other subjects, until I stood up for myself and subtly confronted her abrasive aggression. She back down immediately and stopped trying to argue with me. Although, it wasn't a horrible customer service experience, I would think twice going back. Such an odd and unsettling experience.

This company is different because they represent many Insurance Sources, and is not just a one source supplier. I beleive this helps the purchaser get "Better Insurance and Fairness". This location was Koch B & Y Insurance Services Ltd, but that was 8 years ago. Thanks for the conversation today and we will be back .....

Called to renew our auto insurance over the phone as we are avoiding going to places we don’t have to, due to COVID-19. I had renewed my own auto insurance months ago over the phone with out issue picking up my papers and decal contactless. My spouse called to do the same and the person who answered the phone questioned how he would be able to pick up his decal if he wasn’t going to come in. And she said well it will only take 5 minutes so you might as well come in and hung up before he could explain that we were hoping for a contactless experience. Was very disappointed by the service and that they weren’t willing to listen or accommodate us. Will no longer be giving them my business.
