REVIEWS OF Andrea's Hotel IN Watson Lake

The cheapest hotel I have ever stayed at and service is not the greatest and not the friendliest. If there was another open I would not have stayed here. Waste of money for the stay and the food

Not the most modern hotel with everything just a little bit defective; however, everything was clean and comfortable. One of the better night sleep. The bed was very comfortable and fresh. The restaurant downstairs was enjoyable. I definitely would suggest the chicken burger as it had a real thick chicken breast on a very fresh bun. The ice cream was delicious. One of the better places we stayed at on our three week holiday through the Yukon. Definitely would stay here again. Many thanks for the clean room.

Rooms were outdated heater so we had a small space heater. We could hear everything in the halls and everything in the rooms next door. It was also very expensive for the low quality at $150 for a night.we didnt dare try the food so went to a neighboring restaurant. Definitely a subpar hotel or extended stay.

Clean and friendly. Restaurant open 6am-10pm with good food.

This place is absolutely adorable! The staff are all so nice, and the restaurant is the best I’ve ever had in a hotel!!!!

The reason I am giving this place 1 out of 5 is mainly due to the price. This small hot and limited room charges the same rate as let's say a holiday inn. I have been here for a half hour and these are the things I do not care for: 1.) There is no air conditioning and the rooms are hot. (Plus side: they provide 1 small noisy fan) 2.) When it advertises free WiFi. It is limited WiFi (40mb) 3.) Room is seriously outdated 4.) The tv in the room is slightly bigger than a tablet. I understand small town and all. But there should be no reason why the room rate should be what it is. First and last time staying in this "hotel"

I wish I could give the whole town of Watson Lake a review. We were staying at Cedar Lodge Motel but had no vehicle due to a breakdown and needed to be closer to food. An employee from Andrea's came to Cedar's to pick us up! That's going above and beyond. Its -40 out and we would've really been stranded. Rooms are basic and a little pricy but the employee's make up for it.

Only used the laundry but it was clean

Pet friendly plus side. Hot miserable rooms, poor air circulation. The fan provided was not enough, brought in our own fan and that still wasn't enough to cool the room down. I am sure the hotel is great during winter when it is -20 or more. But you would do better in the summer to just camp at the lake down the road. The food in the diner was ok. The Chinese is the go to menu. I would avoid everything else. When ordering dinner be very specific on what you want to drink. Ice tea is apparently canned green tea and black tea is English style.

(Translated) Clean, reasonably priced restaurant, rooms are big. On the other hand it was very hot at night because they have no air conditioning. Usually summers are not too hot except particularly this year (Original) Propre, restaurant avec la bouffe assez bonne, les chambres sont grandes. Par contre il faisait très chaud la nuit car ils n'ont pas d'air climatisé. D'habitude les étés ne sont pas trop chaudes sauf particulièrement cette année

Clean and comfortable but overpriced for a single person.

Lovely stay for the past three weeks! Thanks for your hospitality

Room was clean but a bit overpriced - but I guess it’s due to supply and demand in a small town for those on route to Alaska. It was a hot day when I stayed here and was warned the room would be warm overnight and it certainly was. There are fans in the room but no air conditioning so if you can’t sleep if it’s too warm I’d suggest finding a place with air conditioning. The hotel staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating, I did not eat at the restaurant but it smelt lovey and the food did look good from what I had seen.

Food was good. Walls and floors are really thin. Our dog was crying while we were at dinner and the entire hotel could hear it. Little pricey for how out dated it is. But it was cheaper than the super 8 down the road.

Kyle Warkentin

Don’t let the outside fool you, it isn’t as great as it looks. The food in the diner isn’t horrible, but the service isn’t that great. The room wasn’t awful, but had a weird smell to it, and you can hear everything that goes on in the hallway. You hear every voice and footstep. The cable freezes and doesn’t work half the time, and you’re limited to 500 MB of WiFi for only 2 devices. All in all, considering the choices in Watson Lake, it wasn’t awful, but will not stay there again.

The customer service was good and people were very friendly - but at paying over $175 for one night for a room it was dirty and had holes in the wall and was poorly decorated. Definitely not what I would’ve considered for the price. on the upside you could buy spike high heels in the lobby showcase and there were buckets of free condoms in the bathrooms (insert sarcasm here) all in all it was better than not having a place to stay.

(Translated) We liked the visit to the Andreas Hotel. A beautiful, cozy room and friendly staff. And a very nice restaurant. So what do you do on the way back down the Alaska Highway from Whitehorse? You try to get a room again, preferably the same. No good, the hotel was full; apparently more people like it there. But what turned out? They also use the Dragon's Den hotel; as a kind of depandance. We take a look with someone from the hotel and there were still some rooms available. And they turned out to be good too, maybe a little less than the one in the Andreas Hotel, but still very decent with new mattresses, in our room at least, and they were wonderful. You slept on it for five quarters of an hour, so to speak. In summary, we enjoyed it in both hotels.

If there was a 0* button, this place would be first in line. Staff here is less than friendly! Food is barely edible, often cold, fryer food tastes old and super overpriced!! Don't get me started on their draft beer....(quick visit to the bathroom shortly after!) Your better off eating at the gas station in town, at least the food there is fresh to order!

Matt Robertson

Room was clean, and they accommodated our animals. Unfortunately, the most expensive place we stayed at since driving from california. Not worth the price. Got woken up around 530 to a phone call about a possible water leave, then about an hour later were woken up by an extremely loud alarm QWQWWWWWWqqa to a firetruck.

George Ackert

Our beds had stains but the front desk lady was super nice and helped us right away. It's a good place to spend the night and it's pet friendly. Don't expect anything fancy

Matt Black

Stayed here for a night while driving through Canada from Alaska. Good staff and very helpful to travelers. There is a laundry facility, a restaurant, and grocery store attached to the building. Would recommend for any travelers leaving Alaska or heading to Alaska (or any stops in between) along the AlCan highway.
