Lot's of things can make a student tour go great, but a bad motorcoach experience can bring it all crashing down incredibly quickly. It's one of the most important components of a student tour. As someone who books coaches for student travel, I rely upon Starr for reliability, prompt service, and above everything else, some of the very best drivers in the business. Starr drivers are consistently professional, willing and eager to go the extra mile, and approach every tour of ours as a partner, not just the guy driving the bus.

My son and his girlfriend went on a Hershey Park, PA day trip and absolutely loved it. They said the Starr Bus employees and the people on board were the friendliest people anyone could hope to encounter. The lunch stop that was included in the trip was delicious and well picked by the trip planners. The bus was clean and they arrived to and from their destinations safely. Booking was easy and the agent I met on the phone (I believe her name is Deborah) was pleasant and upbeat. Both kids said they would use Starr Bus again and highly recommend others try a trip for themselves to see how convenient it is to let Starr plan and transport you to your next adventure.

We returned Sunday from another of Starr Bus Charter and Tour's trip. We have been on many over the last few years and the excellence this time was no exception. The 5 Day Mystery Tour ended up in Canton, OH. We rode on a 2019 Prevost bus with expanded leg room and as usual, our tour director was well organized and a wealth of knowledge regarding our path to Canton. Great motel, meals provided were over the top and the stops that were included kept us happily busy the whole time. Places like the NFL Hall of Fame, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Stan Hywet (the Seiberling Mansion), Warthers Carving Museum to name a few are well worth seeing. Luckily, we are signed up for several more of their tours through the next year and will eagerly anticipate more adventures.

Our first Starr Tour was back in 1978 up to Niagara Falls. We were impressed than and still traveling with Starr. The last two years we travel with Starr to celebrate their 71st and 72nd birthday. . Talk about a good time we had a blast. There have been years that we had booked 2 to 3 trips a year. We now travel to different states in our beautiful country. This year we did Branson Missouri we may go back there that's how good of a trip it was. If you believe in leaving the driving to us book a trip with Starr Tours you won't regret it......

I used Starr Bus Charter & Tours as a shuttle bus for a group of guests staying at the same hotel for my wedding day. The hotel was a bit far from the venue and so we needed a shuttle larger enough to accommodate all of our hotel guests in one trip. Starr was the best choice that fit our needs! Many of the Limo companies I contacted charged the same price as Starr for a bus half the size, and likely not as nice as the charter bus Starr provided. We ended up not filling the whole bus (which is so hard to predict when planning a wedding!), but our guests were very happy and comfortable. I personally did not have a chance to meet the driver, Reuben, but my guests were all happy! He was on time and waited to make sure everyone got on that was going to the wedding. Carolyn was great to work with in the office - she helped make setting up everything so easy, was quick to respond to all of my emails and questions, and provided me with any last minute details we needed for the day of. Highly recommend if you need to hire a charter bus!!

We booked Thanksgiving Break bus service for my son traveling from Central New Jersey to Syracuse University. What a great option for local pickup/drop-off service instead of trekking to Newark Airport or NYC for transportation upstate. The folks at Starr displayed exemplary customer service and the buses were clean and new. My son had access to onboard WiFi and power outlets as well as restroom facilities. An additional plus was their tracking app which allowed parents to track where their students were located during the trip which helped gauge arrival times. Definitely will leverage Starr for future college break travel! Thank you! ????????????

Recently, I booked a charter bus for a senior class trip to Hershey, PA with Starr Bus Charter & Tours. The bus was clean and had plenty of room for my group. Our driver, Buddy, was the best. He was friendly, upbeat, and very accommodating. When rain had to change our plans, Buddy had no problem adjusting the schedule and always got us where we needed to be with a smile on his face. The kids especially got a kick out of the music he would play when we were getting on the bus each day. We had a great experience with Starr and with Buddy! Thanks!

We recently sent our son back to school at RPI using Starr Bus Charter and Tours. The weather was just awful and we were so grateful to be able to drive just a short distance to get him to the bus, instead of spending 7 hours round trip to get him back. He rode in comfort with outlets and WiFi, while I was able to track the bus the entire time. Despite the terrible conditions, they arrived safely right on time. I would definitely recommend this company for all of your travel needs.

Our recent trip to Niagara Falls and Toronto was well organized and professional, yet relaxed and fun. Debbie took our reservation and make the experience extra special. Our fellow tourists were very nice and our bus driver, John, was very competent. Our tour guide, Evy, is fantastic. She is one of the top tour guides we have had even on two-week European trips. The only challenging parts were picking up and dropping off with multiple stops. We look forward to future trips with Starr tours.

Not only was booking a very simple process, their web payment options and down payment was very easy to follow. We took a lovely trip to Savanah and Charleston. Trip was nice and we had a good time. Except for the inconsiderate people who come back to the bus late. There are no penalties for making 36 other people wait for them. On the 3rd day of the 6 day trip one couple was 20 minutes late and no apology. The next day another lady was 25 minutes late. We had to wait for them. This took 45 minutes out of my vacation time. which is very valuable to me. They should have left with out them and made them take a cab. I wrote to Starr while I was on the bus. The tour guide questioned me. I told her I knew it wasn't her fault that people were late but something needed to be done. The Bus Driver Said he told Starr if we didn't like it we could take a different tour company the next time. That statement changed our attitude about going with Starr again. They told me they have to wait 30 minutes and then call Starr dispatch. I suggested the penalty could be making the offenders get off the bus last. I am also very surprised I have not heard from Starr Tour Company.

Yesterday one of your buses was in the process of backing into me in a parking lot of a restaurant after dropping off a bus full of older people to eat. I honked to alert him and he kept coming. There was no place for me to go because another bus was parked behind me. Another bus driver jumped out and ran to try to stop him, even banging on the bus to stop him, but he kept coming, even attempting to run over the man who was helping. I say that because once I managed to get out safely, the driver gestured, slammed his horn and was throwing an aggressive tantrum, revealing his true motives. . This man is dangerous and I don’t believe he should be caretaking older people on tours, or any people for that matter. The entire incident was alarming. It happened at 6:12pm at Stone Ridge Tavern in Asheville, NC.

I just completed a trip to Nashville and Memphis from Sept 6-12, 2019. The entire trip was poorly organized. There was only 1 dinner included in the price of this trip, vastly different than other trips I've been on where dinner is included for 90% of the nights. The single dinner included was at a dinner theater in a strip mall in Nashville and the food was very poor quality. The show was ok but the food was awful. The fried chicken was so dry it was inedible. Breakfast was at 630a every morning and the bus left at 730a. I didn't go on vacation to wake up at 530a every morning. Other tours I've been on leave in the morning at the more reasonable time of 830a. Top it off with tour guide with poor manners who knew very little about the area and a 79 year old bus driver who was always in a bad mood. All this for a price about $400 higher than comparable trips I've gone on with other companies.

Had a lovely 3-day Starr trip to Washington DC accompanied by my 11 year old grandson. Our guide was very helpful with our requests, happy to take pictures with your phone so you could document the experience. Our driver was an incredible font of knowledge about the area, extremely safe driving habits, kept us supplied with cold water and decorated the bus with new and interesting items each day to correspond to the places we'd be visiting. He even had appropriate music at each departure. For instance, when we left the bus at the Air Force Memorial, he had the music from "Top Gun" playing. When we left the bus for the FDR Memorial, he used that famous quote, "We have nothing to fear but fear itself". Definitely five Starr treatment!

My mom and I traveled with Starr on their Cape May Christmas trip and we had such a good time! Our tour director, Jane, really got us in the Christmas Spirit. Having her as our tour director truly made the trip even more enjoyable! The bus was beautiful and our driver, Walt, did a great job getting us to/from Cape May. We ran into some nasty weather on the way home but Walt got us home safely. What a great team! I'm already looking forward to my next trip!

Love the drivers back then we were happy to be able to have traveled for this amount time especially with the drivers that been with you guys for 20 yrs or more. Saying this 27-day Cross-Country trip was a trip of a lifetime is really an understatement! Every day was really a new adventure and I, for one, was able to cross a number of items off of my personal bucket list (watching the movie Bucket List on the bus among them!). We had a small, intimate group of passengers; everyone got along splendidly and went out of their way to be kind and helpful to each other. Our tour director, Gene, and bus driver, Walt, went above and beyond each and every day to ensure things went smoothly and to see that we all got the most out of our adventure. This was my first experience with STARR Tours, but It certainly won't be the last. Everything from the initial registration to the final summary report couldn't have been easier or gone smoother or been more professional that it was. This trip certainly deserves more than 5 stars in my book!

Driving on 95 south today when 1 of your buses decided to change lanes! I was already in the left lane passing the bus when the driver started coming into my lane...I slammed on the brakes to avoid being hit! Most of my car was along side of the bus. I would hope your drivers would use better driving judgements and skills to not risk the life or his passengers and others on the road!

Bus 196.... So on a school trip to D.C. for a Hamilton Twp. Middle School the bus driver hit the toll booth (completely knocking off the passenger mirror)and kept on driving. Maybe if he would have slowed down going through the toll. Aren't they suppose to stop and report an accident? Poor customer safety!!!!

Hi Starr tours I went on a trip to Niagara falls and had a nice time .So I thought I use Starr for another trip which was cross country Every time I called, customer service kept giving me a different price for the trip with insurance Talked to manager and found out they were using last year's price list for INSURANCE. STARR should have had the price of insurance in advertisement then there would be no problem. .I am still thinking about going on the trip though because nobody else offers atrip like that.

Well one time I was 4 minutes late and the bus did not wait. We were in Washington but the tour guide looked for me. I was lost! My phone was dead. She yelled at me when she found me that I did not appreciate at all but I did not complain because I was late. I was glad she looked for me. Otherwise the bus was nice

I booked Starr Tours so I could provide a shuttle bus for my wedding guests from our hotel to our venue. The company was super easy to work with, every email was answered quickly and with enthusiasm. Our bus driver was very courteous and even helped guide one of my friends as they pulled up a car for me (the bride) so I could be kept separated from my husband. And he also covered me with an umbrella in the rain. I'd definitely use Starr Tours again!

Day trip to NYC Saturday October 17, visited The Highline & Hudson Yards. The Vessel was incredible. Starr is to be commended for their vehicle preparation & attention to safety. Individual seating, bit of challenge for conversation, but everyone managed. Keep up the good prep work & eventually we'll get back to traveling freely again.

Took this bus to Vegas for new years, first of all it was late picking us up, secondly it broke down on the way to Vegas and we didn't get here until 7pm. It was Supposed to pick us back up at 430 am this morning, now it is 553 am and we are stranded in las Vegas on new years morning in 30° weather, The bus apparently broke down on the way to pick us up so another has to come and we will be stuck here for the next 6 hours. I'll never use this company again. CHOOSE GREYHOUND! SAVE YOURSELF THE STRESS

Mackinac Island was one of the best tours I've been. No, that's not true. I've been going on tours with Starr for years with my husband, and we"ve never had a bad tour! In fact, we've enjoyed the tours so much, we've done a couple twice..This tour was a little different because of covid19. However, everyone complied with safety rules and our tour director Penny made sure things were safe for us! No more anxiety about traveling! In November we're scheduled for Nashville Christmas, then December-Brooklyn Lights. Kudos to Starr!
