This weekend's train heist was a super great and unforgettable experience. We needed wheelchair access, and seats and staff did everything to accommodate our needs. Except for the lift that makes this experience possible for special needs people, a wheelchair-accessible washroom was above expectations. We had a super fun Sunday and warmly recommend it to people of all age groups. Nicely organized and with a great story to tell!

I was part of the company hired to do the theatrical shows two summers ago. With the re-opening coming, the company owner had again reached out to the improv troupe to supply entertainment in the form of scripts and actors. Then suddenly there are casting calls for actors, and THAT'S how my company found out they aren't being hired after all. That's the most recent incident of highly unprofessional behaviour. They were also notoriously late paying people. So a word of caution to anyone applying for an acting gig on that train.

Don't Mind Us Comedy

Mark and I had the pleasure of entertaining at two Wheatland Express functions. We rode the train twice and it was awesome! We will do it again and bring our families. If you haven't taken the Wheatland Express get your tickets!

Excellent way to spend an afternoon. We did the kids train day. Face painting had room for a bit more sanitation but was very well done. The fortune teller was super cool. The food was good. The workers were so lovely and friendly. Definitely not a boring trip. Loved the balloon guy. I was very comfortable with how close we were put with strangers. We were literally rubbing knees so if I went Gain I would book 3+ ppl to get our own table. The workers were kind and allowed us to move to an empty table and then we were comfortable. Also the portapotties they had were top notch! Super clean. I would consider choosing a different singer with more familiar sons to little ones as they seemed lost. Thank you staff for the amazing work you do!

What a unique experience! Loved it! My wife and I went with another couple, had a nice relaxing train ride and then a wonderful meal with “new friends”.

It was a great experience from each actor portrayal to the train going down the track at a leisurely pace to enjoy the scenery. If you have a chance to ride the train for excellent service and theater portrayal, do it!

So much fun! They had things to do for the kids including coloring books near the end when they started to get antsy. The actors were so inclusive of their crowd, the one even had an indepth video game discussion with some of our older boys and they loved it! It would be great to do another themed ride!

We went on the Christmas Miracle train excursion and it was amazing! It had alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages, snacks, a washroom, and even a gift shop! A visit from Santa and Mrs Clause made it even more magical! Mrs Clause was our favorite part of the whole tour. I would recommend this to anyone!

We were so impressed with the Wheatland Express Excursion Train ???? From ordering the tickets, greetings upon arrival, a wagon ride with Tommy & Jerry, ????????, the super accommodating friendly staff, the fun & engaging actors, the cleanliness of the rail cars & washrooms, & the delicious lunch & drink menu! I Would highly recommend for all ages... our grandkids dressed the part and were thrilled to “help” in the “great train heist! “ The actors were so kind to include them as much as possible. Hope to share this experience again with more family & friends. Top notch entertainment right here on the Prairies. ????????????????Thank you !

We enjoyed the train ride but the actors were very hard to hear. There were four of us and none of us could hear and had no idea what was going on. We were seated in seats 3/4 & 7/8 which was at the end of the car. I think if you had seats in the center of the car, you would be able to hear better. There are no washrooms on the train which is fine, but there is only one port-a potty at Wakaw. Which made for a long wait. The actors had good interaction with the crowd, they took on their roles very well. The train itself was very unique and it was nice to see the country side. On board there is a bar and concession if you wanted to purchase anything. I’m giving it a three star because we couldn’t hear the actors. If we would have been able to hear, we would definitely rate it higher.

The entire experience was a blast! Totally enjoyed the train ride. The event staff are a super friendly crew and Rory Allen did a great tribute to Elvis. A most enjoyable experience and we won't hesitate to do it again!

I highly recommend Wheatland Express! The staff were super and the experience was awesome. We ordered lunch when we ordered our tickets and the food was fabulous. Our ride was not a dinner theatre so the lunch was purchased separately. We were on “Murder in First Class”. Only drawbacks were that we were behind a partition in the rail car so we couldn’t hear all of the performance and there is not adequate washroom facilities at the Cudworth or Wakaw stops...only a portapotty at each. There is a toilet on the train but no running water. There are several businesses near the stops so perhaps a deal could be struck to offer washrooms in one of the businesses? Other than that, it was fantastic and we would definitely ride again!

What a fun way to celebrate our wedding anniversary... From getting on the train and then getting moved to a table for 2(thought we had requested it at booking). All of the staff were very engaging . We preordered lunch-- chicken sandwich for my husband and roast beef for me. The meals were delicious- fresh and very tasty. We received a coin from the staff as a memento of our anniversary . We enjoyed the mid way stop in Wakaw and the sheriff posed for pictures with us. All of the actors were engaging and we were looking forward to the "Heist". We were happy to contribute to it. We are now looking ahead to the Hallowe'en and Xmas events - planning on bringing along family to enjoy this unique Saskatchewan experience. A truly memorable day that we will be talking about for a long time

My husband and 3kids (ages 11, 13 & 17) went on the murder mystery excursion. My kids were not enthusiastic at the idea of it but once on board they got into it and had a great time. 1 child has anxiety so he hung back but he watched and laughed a few times and enjoyed the atmosphere as best can be expected . We particularly liked that the staff are inclusive and everyone is super friendly and they seem to enjoy themselves too. A person can get into the theme or they can hang back and enjoy the ride but either way the train is great and it’s a unique experience and the whole family wants to do another excursion! Thanks everyone for a wonderful time! I should mention that the Atco bathrooms at Wakaw were spacious and clean, the drinks were reasonably priced and the horse drawn wagon rides held during pre-boarding were fun and hearts melt with petting and feeding Tom and Jerry.

We had a great day! The train ride was nice and the staff was excellent! A big gold star to Bill and his knowledge of train history and how this train came to be. Well organized and everything was convenient. The food at the nearby hall was excellent. A 5 star meal for sure. There were a couple of things that could use improvement. At the hall the MC was sometimes hard to hear at the back of the hall and there was music coming from a nearby speaker at the same time which made it even harder to hear him. We enjoyed every aspect of the day except for the entertainment. We were on the Robin Hood excursion which was supposed to be an improv comedy. It was a mess. Quite a few people left before it was over. We will try the train again but will pick a different theme
