Food quality is always consistent. Sometimes you have to wait for chicken to be made (particularly the spicy), but its better to have it fresh than not.

Having to deal with a sick parent and looking to book a family vacation next spring, as our grandchild with all his activities is free only this time of the year. His ice hockey tournament only gets over on March 21. That being said we do have to come back a couple of days before school reopens. Tried Air Canada Vacations and West jet vacations to no avail, could not do it online as we were booking for 7 people. Lucky for us we watch the local news and saw Travelbestbets deals. The deal available end March 10, no worries. What amazed me was when i called the number a human being actually picked up the phone. I was initially taken aback and explained my silence. That being said Tina was very professional, prompt, courteous and gave me different options. I would highly recommend getting in touch with them for your travel needs. I would definitely use them again.

I have never used a travel agent and usually book online but Tina (Vancouver office) was amazing. She found a great deal for me and my extended family for a vacation in Mexico. I realize now how much extra I paid for my trip. I will just book everything myself next time. I used an agent because I felt inexperienced and thought I would feel better if I had a contact should I require one ..I didn't feel better. I was shuffled around the office..never sure who I was dealing with. The price went up in the 2 hours that it took me to get a call back during the booking process. There was a booking fee! My trip was uneventful but the booking process was less than pleasant. I don't think they care about repeat business. And one more thing. The deals on the news look great but I can never find them on the website.

Frustrating travel agency. Contacted a few travel agents of theirs after meeting one in person, and then again after finding a few from their website. They replied once and after responding with our information and goals a few times, we never heard back from any again.The 3rd one blamed the e-mail server for not getting our many e-mails. It's not our job to follow-up with you ladies after we express initial interest and first contact you. It is your job to ensure you followup with clients if you value customer business. Very unfortunate for the owner at how the people working under them are not up to par on basic customer service sales follow-up. Off to the next agency who will actually value our $$$ business.

i am a HARD working man during the day, i have no time to come into one of travel best bets locations, therefore, i called for help. how darn your staff tell me after talking with them for 20 minutes, they have to end the call, because they have calls waiting to be answered. how RUDE! furthermore! if your staff are sick with a brutal cough, tell them to STAY! home, because nothing is worse then listening to someone constantly cough into the phone. i hope the young lady who we see on the local tv station advertising her company or the company, reads this and takes serious notes. it is very true, ones first impression is a lasting impression, and, it is very sad my first impression with this company was very unsatisfactory or an F for failure. i was straight up at the beginning of the conversation stating i’m shopping around, and, from this point on i was questioned,” you should know the price, you should know the ship and what it offers, etc., etc.”, as you have called around. are you kidding me maden, do your job and tell me straight up the best bets rate and leave it at that. don’t get your nose out of joint because i’m doing my job, looking out for my best bets interest. stay focused on your job, making my experience a great one. good customer service and loyality is not practiced here.

I have watched global News for years and enjoyed watching the travel portion with Claire Newell. My adult children and myself have been wanting to take a trip to our ancestral home for years. I decided to book it with travel best bets before any travel advisories were enacted. It was a travel package of land and air. I was assured many times by two travel best bets agents that if the trip was cancelled due to travel advisories I would get a refund. I did not get what was promised. Instead I have a time limited credit. I have no idea if I will be able to use it. To complicate matters I turn 65 next year and may have difficulty getting medical insurance. I have not gotten anywhere by contacting the land operator or airline myself as it was booked by a third party. They will not respond to me. Travel best bets has not tried to receive a refund for me nor have the fulfilled their promise to me. I am out of pocket approximately $8000. Money that I cannot afford to throw away. Would not recommend booking with Travel Best Bets they do not look after their customers and could care less about our monetary loss . Do not trust what they tell you.

We use Travel Best Bets regularly for our major trips such as a cruise or land tour. They are always helpful, friendly, and offer choices to help meet our needs. Often they have traveled to our destination and can suggest itineraries and options for side trips. We deal with Laura all the time and we always go to her when we are thinking of our next trip.

I am so sick of these guys. They advertise specials on Global TV and then you can NEVER find them on the website. It's almost a bait and switch. I have actually called them to ask about the special, and they answer "they made a mistake" and Global News had the wrong information. Beware too, their "2 for 1" deals for China. If you search for the same tours you can find them at half the price elsewhere. Inflating the price and then offering a discount is a classic.

I have booked before several years ago with them and it went well. I've made several email enquiries recently about two advertised vacations but they were never responded to. Quite disappointing. Since this review was posted I was promptly contacted by the manager. Apparently there's no record of them receiving my enquiries. She, the manager, did respond expediently with a quote for a vacation I was interested in.

This is the best travel agency to deal with! In the past, while on vacation, we have been met with an unexpected occurrence ( tsnunami and a hurricane). In both cases one phone call and necessary changes were made to our itinerary. We could continue our vacation without worry. Our travel agent is Yumi Massahi. She has always delivered perfect vacations for us. Yumi is detail oriented and books our vacations to our preferences. We leave and arrive home on dates that work with our schedule. In addition to her vast knowledge of destinations she researches resorts and areas to make sure we will be in an area to pursue our interests. Just home from an 11 night stay in Roatan Honduras. Could not have been happier with the arrangements made especially for us. It's not necessary to book prepackaged 7 night vacations with Travel Best bets.

Our experience was not a total disaster however we had to do a considerable amount of leg work to make sure our trip was going to go well. Also, good luck getting any correspondence should you bring valid complaints to them.

Interesting how Ms Newall is frequently featured in various media outlets giving advice on saving money on trips. Here is a simple tip to save - use a travel agency that does not charge $30 per client booking fee. A travel agency gets paid commissions on everything they sell, why do they have to nickel and dime the clients?

I am disappointed in the cancelation fees, plus booking management fees! We had to cancel an upcoming cruise next year due to health reasons of one of our parties of 4. Travel Best Bets did cancel for us but at a high cost. $50 per person plus the management fee $30. This in my opinion is gouging. Businesses don't and shouldn't get paid until the trip or service is complete. They shouldn't get their profits whether you go or not! The fees are about what they would have made if the trip was taken.

I have asked her in the past for assistance for a trip to Vietnam and Cambodia which became one of your most memorable excursions. Not a good experience. The booking process was fine. But once they had my money it went down fast. This was our first experience dealing with this company and probably our last. It really started after I purchased some very expensive travel insurance recommended from the agent. We were to travel to Bali during spring break. Then covid hit. We tried to contact our travel agent who when we told here of the travel ban was surprised and knew nothing about it. She was actually more concerned about her upcoming travel than interested in helping us. She could not tell us if we were going to get our money back after we had to cancel the trip. She offered no compensation, and no help with finding out information about our travel insurance. We were on our own. So as of today (July 16), 4 months since we cancelled, we still have not received our money from Travel Best Bets fantastic travel insurance company. We have been in contact with the insurance company on our own but still just getting stall tack ticks. Hopefully we will get our money soon. “They say the cheque’s in the mail. Bottom line. Be careful in dealing with this company. Service is not what as advertised. We are actually quite disappointed in you Claire Newell and your company.

Alexis did our group booking for our wedding in Playa del Carmen and did a fantastic job from start to finish. She was very responsive and professional. Once the flights were announced we were dissapointed as the airline was set to go from Vancouver to Kelowna to Mexico, causing a couple hrs additional travel time from what we had expected. She worked with us to switch travel days and get a direct flight both ways for the group. Came up huge for us!!
