Great place very helpful information and knowledgeable staff. I will however say I don't know if the lady that was running the candy store was just having a bad day, but I've heard this from other people that she is crabby. she wasn't too pleased with my kids who were just browsing around the store. She was freaking out and when I took them out of her store and I overheard her say to another gentleman" I just can't stand that". Of course talking about my kids horsing around a little bit. I have a 2 year old and a 6 year old and after they were in the car for however long of course they needed to get some wiggles out. I just don't understand how a lady that runs a candy store, can't handle two cute little kids. So other than her I found this place amazing as I am a tourist and all the pamphlets and visitor information are free of charge... Ps there is a liquor store right beside it hehehe!

BEST FUDGE EVER HERE! The employees were so kind they gave us lots of direction for our drive along the coast. the customer service person we spoke to highlighted a map for us and gave us lots of recommendations for stopping and for food. The gift shop employee was so kind and he makes the best fudge I have ever tired. Get the peanut butter chocolate fudge! I highly recommend stopping here. They also have cool PEI shirts that my partner received compliments on.

This is a really nice and clean Visitor Information Center with a candy store, PEI honey story, liquor store, and restaurant. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The Confederation Trail is right beside it too!

I wish there was a negative star here so my experience could be adequately captured. I was here with my 72 year old mother for the 70 mile yard sale in September 2017. We love candy so we were getting stocked up for the drive around the country side finding yard sales. We asked for a sample of fudge (like we have in all the other candy factories) and before the women waiting on us could pass us the tiny little sliver the owner came over yelling and screaming saying we had to pay for samples! The women who was waiting on us rolled her eyes and we continued to pick out which fudge we wanted and payed for that and other candy we had. Well this wasn't good enough for the owner and she came over again and started yelling and screaming again while we wee paying ... by this time I had enough and told her as much and wanted to know why she was treating us this way, the owner threw us out of the store screaming at us the entire time we tried to get out as fast as we could. It was humiliating and embarrassing and I've honestly never been treated so poorly in my life. The negativity and embarrassment stayed with us for a few hours and tainted our vacation. I called and reported the incident to the tourist bureau who rents her the space to the candy factory and they really were not interested in the incident. They gave me the other owners name, but it was her father, so i didn't bother following up. Honestly, skip this this stop and go elsewhere!!!

A nice stop, we did not try the restaurant but the rest was very nice. The liquor store needs to carry a better selection of bourbon though.
