Really fun tour. Both the tour guide and driver were funny and informative. The price is a bit steep. About $45 per person for 55 min. I think our tour was just under that amount of time.

The tour is good to take during the sunset. But the Charlottetown doesn't have too many interesting place or view to see.

A great way to see the city. The tour guide was very entertaining and provided interesting facts and history of Charlottetown. You could see the excitement with the kids when the Hippo entered the water of the Harbour. We did this tour in August and the Hippo was full. It appears to be very popular. - Recommended.

This was a hoot! We had such a fun time. Our guide was this chipper young blond girl who seemed to really enjoy what she does and the older gentleman driving the bus/boat was really good at steering around some tight corners. We got a lot of history and a bit of trivia. I would do it again in a heart beat!

Captain Tom did a great job of touring us around town. The hippo worked flawlessly both on land and in the water and our lovely, knowledgeable tour guide, Laura?, made sure we we're well informed about Charlottetown and Canada's past.

I had been to Charlottetown before several times and always wanted to take the unusual Harbour Hippo tour. Unfortunately my company those times was not game to try it. I was not disappointed! We went on the first tour of the day. The price of 28$ each was a bit steep for me and my friend agreed, however it is a once in a lifetime experience for us so we went for it! Captain Tom is friendly and a good and interesting conversationalist if you arrive and board early as we did. Madeline the tour guide is a recent graduate from a program in performing arts and gives an engaging tour of the harbour area on land and the water with plenty of enthusiasm thrown in. Since we're her friends she let us all call her Maddy. Kids got a great kick out of her stories and upbeat inspired tour style. We recommend tipping Maddie well at the end of the tour if you can afford to s she earns it giving the tour and going around visiting with everyone before we get back on land. She also takes hugs which are great too!

Once on site for the first morning departure, the owner kindly made us visit despite the policy requiring a minimum of six people (we were four) to make a visit. So we had a private visit. (Original) Personnel très agréable et courtois. Un fois sur place pour le premier départ du matin, le propriétaire à bien voulu nous faire faire la visite malgré la politique exigeant un minimum de six personnes (nous étions quatre) pour faire une visite. Nous avons donc eu droit a une visite privée.

Awesome!! I've done this tour multiple times and it's well worth your money. The tour lasts about an hour and it's a neat experience to travel the downtown area and then drive right into the water and take a tour of the harbour in the same vehicle. Staff are amazing and very helpful - there are some stairs to navigate for those with mobility issues but, staff are awesome at helping people into the vehicle. The tour guides are fantastic - very knowledgeable and they give a great rundown on some terrific Charlottetown and PEI facts. You have to do this if you're in Charlottetown. They even give you free suckers at the end ;-)

This was a good tour! We had a great guide who was super sweet and funny. Everything started on time and was smooth. The feedback that I have is that it would have been great if they added a couple more attractions in or perhaps just slowed down at some of the sites in order for people to take pictures.

We really enjoyed this tour. It seemed impossible but our driver negotiated the drive to the top of Citadel hill and through the streets of downtown Halifax quite expertly. The plunge into the water was incredibly fun. We really enjoyed the view of the waterfront from the harbour. The young lady providing the narrative was knowledgeable and enthusiastic and will soon be driving the Hippo herself. All in all it was fun and memorable. Loved the experience.

A must do! We've seen this a few times in the past, but never tried it. Today we had some free time and decided to try it out. It was well worth the price. Great informative tour of the city, then a good leisurely cruise in the harbor. It's about a 30 minute tour of the city, then 25 minute cruise in the harbor. I would definitely recommend it to someone looking for a fun thing to do while in Charlottetown.

Everyone should ride a Harbour hippo or something similar at least once in their life! So much fun!! The best part was wildly waving at pedestrians while grinning away when they smile and wave back!!

But despite that we really liked. This was our second time on the hippo and enjoyed it as much as the first! Mike was a great tour guide- knowledgeable, funny and friendly. Our 5 year old was entertained the whole time! Highly recommend this 1hr tour to learn a little about Charlottetown!
