Here you have the opinions of real people like you who purchase the services and products of Sun Retreats Sherkston Shores (Travel Agency) near to the area of Port Colborne (Canada).
Right now this firm gets a rating of 4.4 stars over 5 and the score was based on 127 reviews.
You must have seen that it has an average rating is really high, and it's founded on a very large number of feddbacks, so we may be pretty sure that the rating is quite faithful. If there are many people who bothered to give their feddback when they are pleased with the service, is that it works.
You know that we do not usually stop to put reviews when these are correct and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Travel Agency is included in the category of RV park.
Very good resort with many amenities. Rooms were an alright price, and alright value but lacked some amenities you need to bring yourself. Rooms had ac which was very nice. A bit pricey, but overall very nice.
We have our annual family camping every year the last 7 years and have been looking for a home and FINALLY found one. Our weekend this pas weekend at Sherkston did not disappoint from the seemless check-in, to the clean grounds, all the amenities etc. A weekend is just not enough time to spend here. The only thing I strongly recommend and would encourage is that you hire adults to clean your washrooms instead of children. A washroom carries the most germs, and with the amount of people you service and for such a flawless establishment you need to have people clean the washrooms that will actually clean the washrooms properly and efficiently. Aside from that we will be returning next year to hopefully cleaner washrooms for the healthcare and betterment of all. Thank you for an AMAZING time Sherkston we enjoyed every minute of it.
Mixed feelings about this place. Rented a trailer for a week, and really enjoyed most of it. But it's a crazy busy place, and expensive. For the same price per week, you can rent a luxury 4 bdrm home with private pool in Orlando. Biggest turnoff is the huge amount teenagers zipping around the park in golf carts. For us, it's local, so that's a really big plus. Will possibly return if the price is right -rent directly from owners, not the park.
Loved the place. Lucky enough to get a cottage facing the shore. Shopping mart inside resort well stocked. Only Boston pizza inside resort. Must have : golf cart
I wish I went there more often... Right by lake Erie, it is one of the best places in southern Ontario to go and spend the weekend with friends and family. If you don't have an RV, there's lots of trailers up for rent. You can bring your car straight to the beach and just enjoy yourself. Make sure to bring beer from town as there is no lcbo or beer stores nearby!
The resort is really great and it's nice and relaxing. This is my second time coming here and I was very surprised to find that when I arrived the cottage I had originally reserved was not available and instead I was stuffed off in a corner lot. The staff did not seem to care at all and I am displeased with the way they handedled it. The whole point of a reservation is so that when I arrive I am able to stay in the the cottage I want.
The best place ever made the water is warm the slides are cool I love this place 10/10
Beautiful resort with plenty of things to for kids and adults!
Had a great time! Very fun experience.
We visited during off season and it has been very relaxing and enjoyable. Highly recommended ????
I haven't been to sherkston since I was a kid! It's so different. I love all the different pools in the playground my godson just loved the splash pad. We went to Chocolate Bingo night which was a lot of fun for the kids and the park itself was clean beautiful and well-maintained.
Beautiful resort! I love the beach, it’s super clean and everyone is super respectful of space! The facility is super clean, especially the bathrooms! Lot’s of activities to do on the premises so it’s great for all ages!
Great resort, have now owned a place for 6 years. Caring community, always growing. Amenities becoming better minute by minute. Sure, there are fees and they add up quick but if you can afford it your kids will love you forever!
Facilities are great but social distancing and mask enforcement is not happening. Our trailer had no broom, it had a moldy lasagna inside of the oven when we first arrived, our trailer was also missing coffee, extra toilet paper was requested twice. When the water runs it makes a super loud sound under master bedroom.
Perfect for any family! Amazingly friendly people everywhere!
We visited with my family this summer for the first time. I was very impressed with the layout and everything to do. The waterpark was nice and all the beaches and the quarry were amazing. Everything you need is in the park including cafe and grocery store. Boston pizza is also in the park with delivery! We hope to visit next year!
The resort is nice or would have been nice if they did not have so poor organization. We arrived on Monday 30 min after the check in time but our cottage wasn't still ready. We waited for a while and we were able to get inside of the cottage after I got really frustrated and called to the reception. It was not the end though because we didn't get the right code to the cottage and I had to call to the office again. So basically couple hours after we arrived we spent trying to get inside. Forget about using the amenities of the resort. We were not able to get to any of those advertised. The capacity limits are ridiculous, we spent 4 days in the resort, made few attempts to get into the pool and all those attempts failed. Literally all you have to do is to stand in the line. At least they had to set up a time frame or let people book their spots in advance like other resorts do. I can say that my family's vacation is ruined. It might have been a very nice place to visit because the resort indeed looks pretty nice. But it doesn't seem they care too much about their guests and want them to return.
So much to do. Lots of good scenery. Wink wink.
Fantastic Resort off of Lake Erie with lots to do for children water park... bike park ...skateboard park.. Quarry to jump in and swim... And beautiful Lake Erie and the beaches are lovely
Most camp grounds are closed this time of year. It was so nice to get away for the weekend. Our campsite was right on the edge of the quarry... stunning views!
Slow service at the rides and pool. Boston pizza was good. Kids had a good time but extremely expensive and you can't cancel your reservation if you need to.
I like the beaches, the playgrounds for the kids, but there's a million golf carts and the dogs are not allowed on the beaches most hours of the day. There's a tiny spot for the dogs, at the far end, but the early hours made it feel like a private beach.
Fantastic park with a family orientated style... the park is equipped with splash pads, water slides, and a small pool. I highly recommend this location for families of all ages. This park is certainly expensive, so be sure to make the most of your pennies.
Place was like a circus, don't know how people can relax .Trailers are packed in too close ,golf carts are driving everywhere like yellow cabs in New York .Wall to Wall people I could stay home and have more privacy.
If you want to have a blast vacation with family and friends, you have to be really open-minded to be in this wonderful place. Why you ask? Sherkston Shore Beach resort, is one of the best place you can enjoy with your families and friends. You need to be open minded because this is a place with open-minded people yes willing to have fun and enjoy with each other. Sherkston Rocks????
Great spot for a family vacation. The beach is awesome. Waterpark was good but like most waterparks, super crowded. I'd totally go back. I give 4 stars because the staff really needs to do something about A.) The loud teens past 12 blasting music on golf carts and B.) The speed at which these golf carts are travelling all day long. Hazardous. But don't let that detour you.
Beautiful place. Store has all you need that you may have forgot or run out off, and not price jacked!! Waterpark is clean safe and well maintained! Lots for the kids to do
Amazing place to camp :) this place has everything. A water park, mini golf, playing courts (for basketball, tennis, pickleball, and skateboards/scooters/bikes), Boston Pizza, convenience store, laundry mat, playground, etc. You will never get board, and if you forget something at home you can probably buy what you need here. Very comfortable and fun place to get away :) and the gift rentals are great as well!
Went for a week's vacation there at the end of july. We rented off "Sherkston Private Rentals" website. Our cottage was only a 3 star because it was not big enough to fit our family and it wasn't very well maintained. However Sherkston Resort is amazing. It was such a fun family oriented place for my family which includes a 7 year old daughter and 16 month old son. Weather was amazing so I'm sure that also helped make this trip near perfect lol! Will definitely go back.
With a clean, well kept, multi-age water park; a quarry; and, Lake Eerie to swim in, it's hard to go wrong. Grounds are well maintained. Guests are fairly well behaved. Golf carts EVERYWHERE. Ownership or rental. A Wednesday market. Events. Just a good place to spend time with people. Not exactly camping, but so much more than just an RV park. Boston Pizza on the grounds - which I haven't had - will deliver to your site [I have read the quality is not on par with the regular restaurants]. An arcade, paintball, movie nights. Just lots.
We rented a wonderful private rental because the reservation specialists was not helpful- sounded bored and definitely not helpful! Our dates weren’t fixed, but she obviously just wanted to be off the phone! I worked here, so know how things work, as a matter of fact, I worked reservations for a time, I know how important a full park is - especially now. The park is beautiful, and relaxing- especially in the off season!
I would like to preface that I am not a Sherkston property owner but I know many people who are. Being from the U.S. we have been unable to get over the border during the COVID pandemic and Sherkston still charged their yearly fees to all owners. Owners were never able to visit their place and still are unable to cross the border. I think that is very poor judgement on their part.
Been going there for over 20 years. Its like going out of the country to a beach resort but without leaving the country lol. Live shows every weekend . Scuba diving tennis court basketball court football field skate board ramps golf course swimming pool etc. Its a unique experience only 1 hour and 1/2 from Toronto.
Great place if you want a camping trip on steroids. Waterpark, beaches, basketball courts and so much more. All RV and camp sites are extremely close to one another so if you dont like people this isnt the place for you. You feel like you're in some other foreign land with golf carts seeming to be the primary mode of travel around the grounds for many. Supermarket and laundry on site are nice features. Clean washrooms. One problem I experienced was going down a water slide with my daughter, the toilet bowl one, we entered the bowl at quite a high speed and were rammed into the wall lining the drain. Then upon decent, we were turned backwards and the tube ended up sideways with my daughter being thrown out while banging her head and shins on the side wall, right in front of a life guard who showed very little concern. I had to go to first aid myself and ask for ice. Instead of looking at her first, 2 ice bags were provided and that was it. Maybe at under 225 lbs I'm too heavy?! One guest with children expressed that they had a wonderful time except that they got very little sleep because the rustic cabin was just too hot to sleep. As an fyi, I wouldnt recommended camp site 1 as, even as we were setting up, people thought it was okay to use as a throughway to get to and from the park. We quickly changed sites. All in all, it was a worthwhile camping experience for some city slickers!
Has been awhile since our last visit. Indeed, it has grown substantially in size and scope. Loved with they did to the Quarry: The beach area there was a major improvement. We liked it lot!
We were invited here by a property owner in the resort. Our first few days we enjoyed mini put, swimming, and other amenities. Our last day we went to the park entrance and we're met by a new security guard. She refused our entrance telling us that we needed to pay for entrance when every other single member of their security staff had let allowed us in during all our prior visits. She was agressive, rude, and horridly condescending. Instead of mitigating the situation with any degree of customer service we were met with an additional "manager" who rudely dismissed us whilst using profanity. It's an experience like this that will absolutely prevent me from purchasing a property here which was truly the purpose of my visit.
Very quiet, and very nice facilities in each of the trailer homes I have stayed in. All the amenities I need, a view of the beach and the chance for evening fires with friends. And a very reasonable price for a trailer home with a lake front view.
I have been going to Sherkson Shores for the past 5 summers (and will be returning this summer as well) and I have had the most amazing experiences there. I disagree with what others have said about this place, regarding the problem with teenage drunks driving golf carts and the lack of hot water. One person complained about the houses being close together but it is often this way when residing so close to the beach. I have always had the greatest time here, whether it involved camping, staying in trailers, going with family or just friends. All in all, I found the facilities to be enjoyable and the staff always accommodating. I will continue to return every summer because it is simply that wonderful:) Ps. If you enjoy Sherkston during the day but you dislike drunk teenagers bothering you as they drive around in golf carts at night, perhaps you should go to sleep early enough to miss the late night excursions since you are there for family vacation anyway. If you aren't there for family vacation then accommodate for those young teens and maybe join in on the fun!
Been coming here for years and looking forward to next year...
This is not the sherkston I remember thanks to the owners and management a once top 5 beach in the world, it's become a trailer park with a beach attachment.
Seasonal teens run wild underage drinking and driving of golf carts a real concern especially if you have small children also had our booze stolen twice that we had in an outdoor fridge which also dampened our trip. That said beautiful park lots to do for kids and adults alike but security at night is clearly insufficient as many sites around us also got booze stolen
Lots of fun things for young kids to do: Mini golf, water park, water slides, tennis, skateboard park and beaches. If you're willing to pay $$ to rent a golf cart, book online before hand because they go fast. The resort lends out sporting equipment but you need ID to do so. It is a busy and big place but you can get around by bikes too. Boston pizza on the premises is a nice convenience as well as the grocery store but both places are pricey so keep that in mind.
The Life guards was doing great jobs by kept watching kids and ,family and their loved ones and it was such fabulously job they did !... Only one thing is to be remember is that all the sign that was on wall or on tack boards with such little words makes people sometimes couldn't reads when they usually takes this pair glasses off in going for swimming pool or leave at home or on the beach stretcher... Sometimes at laundry when in such old ages barely couldn't read , it would be so kind if the could try make large fonts so that any ages can able you read .even off pair glasses or on pair glasses on ... Some folks may have eyes trouble ... Other than the rest was fabulous, fit for all ages family and loved ones ... The last one is I would like to say huge thank you to 'Josh' whose worked at "life guard" today that knows a bit of sign languages which were fabulously fit for my whole family that sign languages the mother Magda was deaf ,so are are her friend Isabella and with the mother's has 3 daughters are hearing that sign languages with their mother . Again thank you to Sherkton Resort staffs ...and at the office . From Wayne Watts. PS: Would love to spread around friends to go your Sherkton Resort, have fun. Cheers.
Came here memorial day weekend 2019, weather was chilly not a whole lot going on during the week but weekend itinerary was packed . Stayed on the quarry beautiful night skies and sunsets . Walks on the beach for sea glass were relaxing. Camp ground is very clean and well kept .
Wish i could get a place here
Great place to stay, one of the best weekends I've had with my family. The night life is strong at sherkston shores, it didnt bother me but could see it bothering somebody named Karen. Good amenities and clean bathrooms. Really wish we didnt have to leave today!
First time. Stayed at 85 EBW. Cottage very nice but cleaning of bathroom didn't even seem attempted when we first arrived. Doubt water was even turned on to rinse tub, had a dirt ring and drain was so clogged husband had to unclog it so water would drain as it didn't. Massive amount of hair- Yuck. Sent an email no response. Annoyance for price paid. Other than that, stay was amazing. Kids loved waterpark and beach. Lots of stuff to do for kids. 85 had massive deck which was a plus. Didn't rent a golf cart just drove to parking lot for waterpark. Always had spots. Food trucks there too. There was a market on Saturday. Beach super close to cottage. Staff friendly. Would deffo go back and recommend if you have kids. Can't believe my group of friends back in the day never thought to go there in our 20s (went to Wasaga/Collingwood/Muskoka)...seems like an awesome getaway for young peeps.
The water is so clean & clear, people are nice Love this place, Highly recommended
Perfect spot close to GTA. Water park, restaurant, LCBO inside the community, amazing beach.
Alright, so let me get this off my chest first. I am in LOVE with sherkston, every year we go on a vacation here for 1 week. It’s been 6 years, but I need to get some things off my chest. 1: The “new” playground. I am 11 years old, ok? And when I went down here today (2018) I saw that the new playground was open! I was so excited because it was under construction when I first saw it. One of the major issues is that the opening is IN THE WATERPARK. Now this is bad because people are wet and coming into the playground wet, and yet it is almost impossible to do anything while pet. That brings me to the second issue I have, THE ROPES. Now, the ropes are THE THING YOU GET UP WITH? Like, it’s a tiny area and the ropes are scattered everywhere. It’s not fun and it hurts really bad. I can’t even get on one slide with it! Definitely not coming back to the playground soon. 2: Beach spots. Now, the beach is a great place and it’s awesome! But the spots are so hard to get. People go there at 8 am, set up their stuff and never come back to it! I was staying on wyldewood, right next to the beach and it’s impossible to get a spot! You guys should do something about the people that just leave it there and never come back! It’s annoying for family’s that want to actually go on he beach and play, but people like that do that. Also, the sand is way too deep at some parts and I’ve seen cars and golf carts get stuck in the sand. Seriously. 3: The staff (and golf cart issues) Now, some of the staff are really friendly! They are very nice and interactive! But other staff are looking like they hate their job and depressed! Some of the staff could care less about their job and only talk to people they know! It’s terrible! The water slide people are bad too. I saw like 3 good people running the water slides and the rest were brutal! The other issue I want to talk about is the staff with golf carts, some people are playing loud music that may hurt people’s ears, and some people are playing VERY inappropriate songs and younger kids shouldn’t listen to that. Too many slow drivers and most of them are in the wrong lane! Security should really look for more drivers like this. 4: The cottages I stayed at a black diamond today, double decker. It was beautiful. The one issue I had with it is when I went on the bed DEAD BUGS WERE ON IT! That’s terirble and disgusting! And the TV wasn’t working in one room, it was really messed up. Tons of spiderwebs too. And left behind items. Honestly, other then that our time here was amazing. The sherkston ice cream was amazing! We won a chromebook in the arcade! The waterpark was awesome! And so so so so much more! It’s just that this year felt kinda down, yeah we had a good time but if these issues were fixed I’m sure many people would get more happy! Sherkston I’m sorry but I’m gonna give you a 3 star this year, who knows? Maybe next year will be better. But if you don’t mind these issues then yes! You should come to sherkston, amazing times.
Sherkston Shores has something for everyone, young and old. It has the feel of a resort without the fees, with plenty of extras to enhance the experience. Food trucks for an easy grub fix that have good prices and excellent serving sizes. Fireworks and live bands and lots of beach to enjoy. The security on site is on point while still understanding of people having a good time - no troublemaking and no hassles from them. The 2019 rain diminished the beach size as is everywhere in Ontario but it was still good enough for all the people to get some sun and a swim. Definitely going back next year! Get a golf cart and book it in advance - they go quick and are often sold out so walking in to rent one day of is not recommended.
This resort is awesome and fun for the whole family. There is so much to do like water slide, beach, arcade, park, basketball court. Cafe is great, the coffee is decent. The park is so big, it is ideal to have a golf cart.
This is not the sort of camping experience I'm used to....which is quiet, remote, maybe a little rustic or primitive. That is not this. On the weekend we were there (post opening of the Canadian border to vaccinated Americans, to finally …
I didnt actually go here. I was kayaking at pleasant beach next door. But my buddy dave works there. Daves a good guy so ill give it five stars. Sherkston shores is cool and all but i think to truley experience it you have to meet dave.
We had a great time tent camping with family and friends. Unfortunately we were told that the camp grounds will be removing their tent camping sites for the 2020 season. Kids had an amazing time!
Great place for the kids. May be more expensive than most places but has way more stuff for the kids to do including activities all day for the kids even when it rains. 2 pools slightly heated. Water park for the little ones and also a little small pool for babies and toddlers. 3 water slides. Boston pizza, store with everything and anything. 2 beaches on the lake. I beach at the quarry which is nice for when it's a bit windy and chilly at the lake. Golf cart rentals. Your able to drop your stuff off with your car on the beach but they don't let you keep your car down there which now frees up much more space for everyone.
Sherkston is a great place for kids - great amenities all in one spot and great beaches. I’ve been there a few times, but this time wasn’t pleasant. There were long lines, crowded beaches and very loud music. First of all the line up to get into the pool/waterslide area is long. They allow 200ppl due to covid protocols. Tip#1: Get there an hour before. You need a golf cart to get around! The golf cart rentals from properties are too expensive about $100 each day. Our cart ignition was finicky and there was a sticker not to pass a certain point, my husband looked at and fixed it. The owner didn’t see an issue because I think they wanted to “ding” us for it. Tip#2: Inspect your golf cart make sure everything is working. We stayed in a private rental - 17 Mallard The pictures were very nice, however they made adjustments during the spring and I wasn’t made aware until closer to the date. They took away the bunk beds, made it a loft bed and made the second bed bigger however it was claustrophobic and you can hit your head on a mini ceiling that tuck the bed in. Before our stay, I get a phone call to indicate that I had to pay an additional resort fee. I agreed to it On the first day, I had issues with checking in as Sherkston didn’t have my name in the system. So the process took about an hour and half. I noticed that there was a “RING” video doorbell. I wasn’t too happy to see that because I strongly believe in having privacy. The owner left a list of things that we had to do when we left, which was “over the top” especially that I paid an a cleaning fee. There was no Windex to wipe down finger prints on the sliding door or an all purpose cleaner, plus there was no scrubber for the frying pans (lucky I had one). Tip#3: Always bring extra toilet paper and paper towel. I felt like the owner wanted to find something wrong. We cleaned the trailer very good, probably better than when we arrived. The day we left, at 9pm I get a phone call to indicate all the things that was wrong and a missing blanket. Well the “expensive” blanket cost us some of our deposit. In all my years of renting, I’ve never had this happen. Tip#4: Take photos after you clean up and itemize. Look at your contract and make sure it sits well with you. I knew from the beginning that the owner was looking to find away to gain something from the deposit. For a blanket, the owner lost a repeat renter and I will never recommend this place to anyone.
I have been camping here twice in my life with two different groups, 3 nights each stay. Pros: - the beach at lake erie is very clean - there are many events and activities for kids around the age of 5 - there's an arcade for younger kids, and the staff will sometimes give tickets away - there are many options for accommodations, from camping, to motorhome cottages, to actual cottages along the shore. - the sand dunes make a pretty picture Cons: First, there is very little privacy between each "campsite." I would hardly consider it a campsite because it seemed more like a parking lot for trailers. Second, the majority of activities and things to do are for kids around the age of 5. Preteens, teens, and young adults, and some of the kids around 8-10 appeared bored. There are many facilities, but because of the large volume of people, most of them are over crowded. Third, The pool and the hot tub is very shallow and very small. Fourth, The small pond with the two decks goes very deep very fast. One of the kids with us was drowning. Luckily a lady beside him with an inflatable chair got him quick enough. The lifeguards spotted her after a few minutes while she was checking if the boy was alright, and got angry because there are no inflatables allowed in that area. There was an argument between several of us and the lifeguards who were spending their time talking amongst each other, instead of dispersing intro zones and actually guarding their area. I'm not sure what the policy for lifeguards at Sherkston is, but where I'm from, lifeguards on duty are forbidden to cluster in groups like that. Fifth, The bathrooms are disgusting. One of the showers was not being used because someone left their dirty "sanitary item" on the floor. Sixth, Because there is very little privacy, most of the campers are asleep at 9:00 PM. I guess this could be a pro for families with young kids. Sherkston Shores is the first "campground" resort I have tried, and it will probably be my last. I honestly prefer the camping without the karaoke, diners, and electricity in general. Surprisingly, Ontario parks have cleaner bathrooms.
Great family camping resort. Water slides, pools and a Boston Pizza. What else could you ask for. Oh yes, chocolate Bingo!
this was definitely the best RV campground i have ever been to. i have been to every Provence in Canada staying at every best rated campground and i just have to say that this was an amazing experience. the large beach, the gaming center thingy and the large fishing lake and beach were all amazing and the go carts make it a lot more unique
Lots cottages to rent, everyone is friendly, two different beaches, camp sites, RV parks, an arcade. lots of attractions for people to do i stayed for 4 days and it was awesome. There is also golf carts you can rent out that are $65 a day.
We stayed with family in the park. So much fun! Three choices for hanging at the water: long sand beach on Lake Erie, sand beach at the quarry, or pools with waterslides, hot tub, bar, arcade, Boston Pizza, cafe and live music in the evenings. We saw Orangemen one night... excellent covers of 80s songs.
Not much point in going if it isn't in season. They sell you an upgraded package that includes Boston Pizza voucher that you can't use during the week at the moment (which was when we stayed there) They make no mention when you book that if you are there during the week that hours are limited for amenities that actually are open. Only one pool open during the week. They change the hours on the website during their "off season" but as I mentioned do not care to inform potential guests. They just assume you may or may not look to see the hours before you come. Felt very scammy to arrive and then find out everything is closed. Even some of the signs don't show the proper hours such as the mini golf (sign at the front said open till 9pm...was closed at 6...staff member told me they "didn't bother making a new sign". Pool doesn't have a swim suit code or any hygiene rules. Guests were swimming in full clothes..found a bandaid right in front of the ladder to exit the pool. Very poor signs around the resort to help navigate. Our cottage sliding door would open when locked with just a jiggle. Our cottage (EV021) had a horrid septic smell when it rained. On top of that it seemed like there was an abundance of bees around the whole resort. Some advertising says a golf cart is included which is false. Golf carts are around $80 a day and is almost a must since the place is huge. If you have kids this place would be great when in season...however it will be PACKED. We booked (4 adults no kids) In the off season to enjoy the resort when it wasn't at its peak capacity especially cause of covid. Not being made aware in any way shape or form that most of the resort will be closed along with incorrect hours posted for things that were left a bad taste in all our mouths. The staff is very friendly and the park is very clean other than the pool. But it felt like the resort just cares about getting you there with a false idea of what your stay will be like. Had we known about the amenities beforehand we would have booked elsewhere. Especially the fact that they are quite happy to take your money for an upgrade to Boston pizza fully knowing you can't use it. Nothing on the site draws attention to the fact that they are now in off season and amenities are limited. No one in the office could help us with a refund for Boston Pizza and we were given a card for the manager. Again, the staff was wonderful and my dogs had the best time, but I will never be visiting nor recommending this place to anyone based on my experience. If you have kids (who by the way have a curfew of 11pm for 18 and under) and don't mind going when it's extremely busy (having to line up in waiting queue for things like the pool) then you will prob love this place. Lake Erie is a fantastic swim
This is my favourite place on earth! The beach is amazing and there are lots of other things to do. Nice to have a Boston Pizza on sight for nights when you don’t feel like cooking. There are laundry facilities, a cafe, and a little store on site as well. My family has been going every summer for over a decade and looking forward to many more.
Great resort and amenities. Excellent, helpful, smiley staff.
Stayed 3 nights in off season (late September). Excellent value given the amenities available. Highlights: superb wifi, lovely clean grounds, several clean and modern comfort stations, superb beach on Lake Erie for swimming or sunset photos, and friendly and helpful staff. My only caution is the number of golf carts on site that are used by campers and seasonal owners. On the warm nights, these vehicles were active late into the night. Regardless, this is one of the best RV resorts I have stayed at.
Really impressed by the amenities, overall cleanliness and layout of park. The good: (Went during a fall weekend that was pretty quiet and high risk temperature wise.) - It was fairly quiet, lines at water park were nearly non existent. Kids could play mini golf as much as they wanted with no wait, plenty of seating as well. -Rest rooms were clean, showers in campers area were the best I've seen in over 30 camping trips. -Did the campsite option. Site was large and offered plenty of room for two vehicles and a camper and a tent. The bad: -Maybe it's because my preference is radio free camping, but use of radios was very prevelant. Possibly because of the amenities you get the folks expecting a theme park experience? Had a run in with a fellow camper rolling in at dusk and immediately cranking the music so loud I couldn't even talk over it to get their attention. -Also in same vein, Late Night Campers. In any camping experience there's always the group that likes to chill by the fire till the wee hours of the morning, which is never much of an issue in radio free camping. However apply plenty of alcohol and people "forget" how loud they and their radios are. As such the bad issues are only situational, and there is always some expectation of lack of privacy, nothing that would be against the park, more an awareness of what type of campers are drawn here.
I owned one cottage at this place and I love it
I absolutely had A-blast with our family. Great resort. So many activities for everyone.
This place has really stepped up to the plate in recent years. When I was a teenager this place used to be a dump. Now it's fully private and fully stocked up. Water park, pools, hot tub, mini putt, Boston pizza, outdoor obstacle activities, arcade, live music, food trucks, banquet hall, skate park, basketball courts, tennis courts, pickleball courts, and really really friendly owners that are so outgoing and fun to lounge at the beach or quarry with. Great place to spend your whole summer and highly recommended.
Incredible facility for a family vacations. Grounds are kept clean. Tons of amenities offered for everyone.
The place is nice for camping and family gatherings because there's a lot of activities aside from the pool and the beach. Such as, paintball, roaming around the area by riding a golf cart, playing an arcade basketball, volleyball, etc.
Fun get away from the city with friends and family, too bad it only stays open for a very brief period. Beach is not the best because of the amount of rocks but it's doable. Only issue I had during my stay: security guard came over TWICE in different days and said there was a noise complaint but both times it was around 5pm. We were bbqing outside and talking loud but it's 5pm, who cares if it's loud, it's the middle of the freaking day.
I am a home owner here and as it is not perfect it's getting there. The beach needs some work and without proper grooming and rock management it is not the nicest but there are many other things getting fixed at the moment and it might just get done later. My only other complaint is with the board walk it was replaced with cement and I am willing to forget this but plants need to be put by it to make it look nicer ( maybe on the waters side) but other than that I have had only good experiences here and I have invited many people up to stay for a day and have had no problems.
loved it never been to we purchased this year! pandemic purchases, right? and so glad we did. The kids live the water park but also playgrounds, camp fires, the beach the quarry the golf cart. lol, the experience!! great safety measure at the pools and water park. inside of areas just recently opened-dining inside Boston pizza, the arcade, children's crafts and events. it's about spending time and building memories and you can absolutely have that here.
Nice place. Kids love it. Especially the beach and water park. We were all big fans of the playgrounds all over too which all seemed new. There's a lot of people (mostly kids) zooming around in golf cart playing loud music on the weekends though. The cottages mostly keep that out, but being outside in the evening it can get old real quick. Also, they really need a screw driver (I swear every damn screw in the place was loose) and some oil (every hinge was obnoxiously loud).
Very unique community! Love the relaxing atmosphere, lots of things to do for children. Very family oriented place, will return!
Perfect family vacation spot, the rental cottage from Sherkston was brand new with modern appliances, furniture, and design. Expansive deck. Includes 6 amenities passes. This part of lake Erie was gorgeous, the sand was clean, soft, with beautiful natural dunes. Litter was cleaned regularly by staff on the beach, filled with families, kids, everyone having a great time. Some patrons did have loud music on the beach which seemed to upset a patron or two due to rules, but everyone seemed relatively respectful of their neighbors on the beach and the occasional music just added to the atmosphere. With a wide age range vacationing with us Sherkston offered the convenience of the water parks, the quarry lake, and lake Erie. One day there was strong, surfable waves, the young kids were able to stay shallow or use the quarry or water park. The convenience of being able to just stay on site and bounce between locations made the vacation relaxing despite how much we did. Some older reviews did concern me prior to booking regarding security and cleanliness. I think new management has addressed these things well. Yes, well after dark teenagers doing the night time activities do tend to take over...I see no problem with this. A family vacation should be fun for all age groups. The daytime is filled with kid activities, families on walks, kids on bikes...the night has teenagers having fun with a little independence in a fairly contained location. Security was still a little sparse, but at no point did I witness a need for security, most patrons were families politely enjoying the beautiful resort. Not to mention this is easily some of the most beautiful beach on Erie. Another pleasant surprise was that the on site market, while marked up, was not as overpriced as one would expect for an on-site convenience store. Boston Pizza was also reasonable for being on site. Poolside take out was buy one get one 50% off. The only slightly negative experience was when we accidentally wandered into the owners section of the quarry since the direction we walked from had no sign. An owner saw our rental bracelet and shot us a look of death. I get it, they want to protect what they bought with their hard earned money, but if you're not using amenities I'd take your bracelets off, it just makes you and your group stick out less. Also, getting to the beach from evergreen is too far to walk, but there is limited ( as in <8 spaces) parking at the beach. Without a golf cart this required some creative planning. If you have bikes I'd recommend bringing them and riding them to the beach as on-site golf cart rentals are the only thing that was extremely overpriced. Also reservations, booking, and cottage options are quite confusing first time. I understand the difference much more now that I've stayed. Also check in at 4 with check out at 10 is unusual. Check in should be much earlier. Overall the staff was great, patrons friendly, beach beautiful, and units modern and beautiful. Improvements would be improving reservation process, not limiting check in/out to specific days for those of us close enough for overnight trips, and offering bike or Surrey rentals as a reasonable alternative to golf carts. Perfect place for families and casual couples who aren't uptight.
We ordered pizzas and complained one had Hair on it and one of the employees said they were going to make us another one for about 10-15minutes. He took that pizza and was going in the kitchen and another lady(employee) asked him to stop bc she wanted to see where was the HAIR. Anyway we received the 2nd pizza after 45-50mins later!!! The cabins where we slept was No toilet, no sink, shower in the cabbies, no sheets, nothing but 4 bunk beds and hard to sleep, very small refrigerator and a microwave Going there with small kids and getting a small cabbies not suggested
My mom has been bringing her trailer here for 3 weeks every summer for the past few years and we have always loved it here... this year has been horrible. This construction going on is terrible and we are woken up every morning at 7am to pounding and it's all day long. Its definitely NOT enjoyable at all and we are staying at a site right across from it. It wakes up all the kids every morning so we can even sleep in and it's so loud it gives us headaches. Terrible stay this year very disappointing!
Came for a few days with family and friends. We had a good time but it was super crowded. People stake a claim to a section of beach and never remove their things. Pools we're jam packed to a level seeming almost unsafe. Over priced store and restaurants. Nothing else even off site close by.
DO NOT BRING YOUR DOG This was our second trip to Sherkston. Being a single father paying over $700 for a campsite for a weekend was a tough pill to swallow. But we had been here a few weeks ago and my kids LOVED IT! They each brought a friend and had a great time. So for the August Civic long weekend we came back. I charged my credit card and figured i will try to get some overtime to pay for this. I have to say this was our scariest and worst camping trip ever. It took almost 2 hrs to get onto our site. Security does not seem to drive the grounds ensuring all is good. The site i paid for was being used as a parking lot for our camping neighbors. There was no similar sites available and security could not do anything about the vehicles.. I did not pay all this money to wait for someonento get back from the beach! We wanted to go to the beach!. Our site was tiny compared to the illustration on the map BEACH VIEW 11. We almost had a major incident with a kid on a golfcart crossing into our site and almost hitting our camper. There sure are a lot of kids driving golf carts. Why is this tolerated?. But the most upsetting thing was when a person tried to steal my dog. My daughter took our dog swimming. When she returned she attatched our dog Nellie on her line and went inside for a moment to change. Luckily she saw the man trying to drag my dog from our site to his golf cart. He and his femal companion took off as my daughter ran out of the trailer yelling,, "hey what are you doing" .Pretty scary stuff for a 14 year old. So now i won't leave our campsite in fear of someone stealing our family member or our property. Obviously security is inadequate for this many people. We reported this to guest services. I am nervous being here and so are my kids. If you can charge over $700 for a weekend campsite you should be able to properly ensure campers safety. I e-mailed guest services and nobody reached out to us. We have not seen a security cruiser in our section. An extremely unsatisfied returning guest. Trevor S
Pros: Great facilities:2 pools, water slides, hot tub, Boston pizza and one of the best beaches on Lake Erie North Shore. We stayed 3 seasons as a seasonal camper loved the park. Cons: Mostly people oriented. For such a large, dense population there is not enough security to enforce the many rules. The rules need to stricter as well since public drunkeness and teens behaving badly is widespread. Cost is a barrier. Since $6000 is the lowest price you can pay per season this becomes a barrier to be a family of four to afford this luxury. Other parks on Lake Erie North Shore are half the price of Sherkston.
Beautiful place. Well organized. Nice beaches. Lots of things to do.
Grounds are clean, interesting and staff are friendly however the amount of young people partying on golf carts all over into the early mornings wrecks the enjoyment and sleep for a family. We actually had one crash full speed into the trailer where we stayed on our trip. So disappointed.
Awesome place. The kid's love it, lots of activities. Bathrooms are nice and clean. Beach are well maintained.
Amazing place to enjoy the summer with the family many activities for adults and children
How to describe Sherkston ... low-key friendly vibe + great beach to start. The standout feature for the family, though, is always that all vehicles are parked upon arriving and everyone gets everywhere on golf carts. It somehow makes the whole experience just that little bit honky chill - in a really good way. When you tire of that chronic low-level anxiety around how everything in life is about money, this is your spot to set it all down, slow down, and just enjoy the simple things.
Super fun times here as always. Community based type of environment and the beach is nice. I like how it has its sense of independence away from the general populace and feels like everything is in close proximity for things you need but far removed from every day life.
What an amazing place to go with either family or friends... just loads of things to do... kids were pooped come the end of the long weekend... recommended this place to everyone and anyone...
Very good, had a excellent experience. But maybe put signs on which lineup is for what waterslide since one time me and my sister were in the wrong line and we waited for like 10 minutes.
Close to the GTA with amenities for all ages. Have a blast at the pool/ beach/ water slide all day, then watch the weekly fireworks before listening to the live music while kids play at the arcade, then retire to your cottage for a campfire to sign off the night.
Great place for the family. Beautiful beaches and the waterpark was amazing.
Almost exactly how I remembered it as a child. Just a little more updated! Plus, they have an LCBO, which will come in real handy if you're not one of those "family resort" types. The community is super friendly, & plenty of beach to choose from.
It's most definitely a place to visit. Has so many attractions. The kids will have a blast. We used the campsites (very small and on top of eachother) and honestly weren't to happy. I find this park very much geared to owners and trailers. Plan your trip with a trailer/owner rental in mind. You won't regret it. At night I find the young teenagers on golf carts extremely loud. Also, we were asked to keep our coolers inside. So keep that in mind.
Great water park! Tons to do, you're only bored if you want to be.
Sherkston shores is so much fun! There is a lot to do- beautiful beach, quarry for swimming and paddle boarding, a waterpark, archery, various sports... such a great family destination
An excellent place with a little bit for everyone!
Was a guest of an owner during my visit. Myself and my son's had a blast! Waterslides, huge splashpad, great pools, clean beachs and an overall fun family atmosphere.
Experience was amazing. Few activities were closed due to COVID but kids still loved the stay. Plenty of things to do for adults as well. Cottage was sparkling clean. Koodos to cleaning team. Will definitely return for next vacation.
What a place! 2.5 miles of Lake Erie sandy beaches. Huge quarry with Beach. Boston pizza. RV and camping spots. Summer homes to rent. Great bands. Great family fun. Water slides. Water park. Numerous pools and activities.
Absolutely best little getaway nice and peaceful away from the city life
We love visiting Sherkston all summer long!
We stayed in a rustic cabin purchased on a wag jag. Very good value considering that it included use of waterpark, pools and mini golf. There were many conveniences such as a grocery store, cafe,Boston pizza and an arcade. Also a great fireworks display on Saturday night. The beach is beautiful as well. Our cabin was very clean when we arrived. I however did not enjoy the young teens speeding around on golf carts blasting profane music all day and very late at night. Thus is not ideal for sleeping, especially with children. The bathrooms near our site were disgustingly dirty the majority of our stay which is completely unacceptable. For having security on site, these issues should not occur. On more than one occasion the bathrooms were also vandalized overnight . Hopefully these issues get resolved in the future because it could really put a damper on one's vacation.
This place is honestly amazing especially if you wanna have a good time. The atmosphere, the people , the activites ,so much to do. We went with a group of 20 people (5 families) stayed in rustic cabins and it was perfect. Golf cart is a must , beaches are amazing and everybody is very laid back. Definitely gonna go back every year. Thanks sherkston
We went there on a long weekend. Its a nice place. Alot of activities for kids. Water park is good too, its not a very big water park but still its not bad. Very well maintained area. When you are booking cottages just make sure that there are some cottages with very small rooms as well so if you are too finicky about sleep then better check the rooms first.
No place to launch a pleasure craft eccept for the beach and then you better have a 4 × 4. It would be great if they had a tractor service to launch it for you. I'd gladly pay a few bucks to do so. Great place though.
Norman loved it! We'll be coming back for sure!
Long drive, map or more street signs, would certainly be easier to get around.
If you have young kids the waterpark and activities are very good. However, the park does not control or monitor all of the drunken adults who come there to party late into the night. Impossible to get a decent night sleep!! Also, the little things are ignored... no pet waste bags or trash bins at dog park, kids driving golf carts, speeding vehicles, laundry hanging everywhere... I certainly would never go again, especially for the insanely high prices.
I was there at a vendor for the Wednesday market it was a beautiful location the people were amazing everything is positive positive positive
My son was hit by a car on the park premises and no charges were laid, security did not want to knowledge accident at all and it’s 3 days after incident and management still had not reached out. The women who hit my son with her car is still running around the park. She is a homeowner at the park. The park is not being helpful in getting any help.
Great place! Very serene and other residents are very respectful. The beach was amazing! Happened to be visiting during Butterfly mating season apparently. Was very nice wandering up and down the beach.
Extremely disappointed. I made reservations on Wednesday Feb 14th and attempted to cancel on Sunday the 18th and they would not return 100% of my deposit. Understanding that companies have policy.... but accommodations can always be made. It's the middle of winter and we're booking for the summer. They will be fully booked regardless. We've never had an issue like this in all our years of camping. Beyond the fact that Sherkston Shores RV Resort is way overpriced this single small act is a clear indication of their customer service. We will never camp at this resort.
Fun and fantastic if renting a cottage. Just dont rent 4 Gullivers Landing. Owner will make up reasons why she wont refund security even though we had pictures of everything and her fire pit area is very dangerous . Our grandkids loved it here, the beaches are fantastic, people were friendly and there is so much to do Get a golf cart and enjoy.the entire park. 4 stars for the park, no stars for owner we rented from.
First of all o called ahead of arriving and spoke to the receptionist who was extremely unhelpful, extremely rushed and just giving the info in a piece meal approach, then we arrive today and we walk into the cottage which is extremely extremely dirty, at first you think it looks clean but wait a couple of mins after you check the soles of your feet, it was pure black layer of dirt and dust, spider webs on every single window, counters full of dust, leather couch when wiped off with our Lysol wipes, just turned into black wipe, we decided to disinfect and clean and mop the floors ourselves and we couldn’t believe what we are seeing, the water in the mopping basket turned black, the wipes are all black, the cottage smelt rusty and as of not only was it never cleaned thoroughly but also never ventilated or aereated - extremely Disappointed at the room and quality and service so far, then we try to call the reception at around 7pm, and no one is answering no guest service at all- wow! And then we decide to go out for a walk, and not even one street lamp on the evergreen area. Felt like we were thrown in the middle of nowhere.. extremely disappointed and hoping someone from management can address this - not sure how are we even going to enjoy our stay till Monday.
It was wonderful lots to do but the rains came but enjoyed it anyways its good to be away from the city life sometimez
This Resort/Campsite is really fun and awesome I suggest you to come here. The thing I am talking about is the Pool/WaterParks. Since covid happend only 200 people can be in at a time and they clean ever 2 hours. The toilet bowl is usually closed cause of maintence. The lines get really long and have to wait to so just to come in. The pools also close at 7. And give adults and 18+ have there own swim time till 9 like they are special or somthing. In Pickle ball a group of adults that are in a league or something. They wake up really early with a group of like 20 take over the whole court and dont let anyone play because they are there all day abd rotate after every game.
Great experience and super cool resort! Amazing proximity to beach, golf carts to get around and lots to do!
Nice place to go to get away for a bit. The park kept the beach clean, removing any vegetation that washed up. The trailer we rented was nice. It was a bit dusty when first arrived, but given the owner has not been able to go there in a while. The amenities at the park were great, although they were a bit pricey. If you want to see what it's like I'd say take the plunge.
I really liked the area and wish that I had a permanent spot to call my summer home. Looked layed back and people enjoying their summers.
At $210 for 2 nights of camping in my own trailer (where anywhere else it costs about $100), I decided it was not an "experience" worth the investment. There are beaches all along lake Erie, restaurants and attractions everywhere, and anove all, other decent campgrounds.
Place is hugh, no privacy at camp lots, no showers at resort, no coffee shop,(timmy's, Starbucks) carts to travel around the resort. Love, love the variety store, it has EVERYTHING. people are super friendly. Camping lots for all season, cottages etc. Personally, not for me.
Everything is perfect here, very gorgeous Resort, you can rent or buy here, it has a nice lake, pool area , arcade, live music, and so many other things. Perfect for an extra long weekend of 4 days!! :D
Always love this place. Long lines are because they take Covid protocol seriously. Great for family fun.
Everything was great the skatepark kwas good and beaches very nice. The fishing and cliff jumping are far fetched though, the whole week we only caught sunfish and the "cliff jumping" is a 3ft tall rock (not as advertised) and the beach we were at with the dunes was scattered with shards of broken beer bottles
Excellent place. It's like a little city. Lots to do if you have kids. Theres a dog park, water slides, random little things to do. Not a bad price for a resort. Tho book a head for a spot. Very busy place. Golf carts for rent to make it easier to get around
Huge trailer park. Well tended, clean and lots of amenities including beer store and Boston pizza on site.
Sherkston is an amazing place to bring your family. There's so many things for kids. But there are karaoke nights and band night for parents. I love coming here with my best friend every year!
I found the resort to be overcrowded. Trailers were jammed in with little to no room for safe vehicle and pedestrian travel. The park was very clean, just overly crowded.
This place is fun for all ages. They have a cute market on Saturdays, everything you need on-site in the "compound" (LCBO, Small grocery store, Boston Pizza). There is a splash pad for the kids, party beach for the adults (or more of a family beach too) or have a fire in your trailers backyard. Every time I go I have such a great time.
We loved sherkston, very family oriented camp ground. Lots of activities for families, children’s and adults ! Highly recommend staying there 5 days or longer . A lot of restrictions because of Covid sadly ! :(
Yes, the place is beautiful however there are way to many mosquitoes...yes I understand that its nature but honestly too many mosquitoes.....the waterpark was great and the pool was amazing too, the other activities were wonderful too. ..however the Boston Pizza Staff was truly rude and the pizza wasn't good.....and the rule of 11pm lights and noise makes scene through Sunday through Thursday makes scene however Friday and Saturday should have a exception becuase people come to camping with family and friends to have fun and laugh together but when you make noise they give you a ticket...you come to camping to enjoy your time we should have a say in this rule since we all have too pay for our stay...overall, the place can be enjoyable in the water park and pool
We spent a week at Sherkston from Aug 20-27, 2021. The resort offers great amenities including a water park with 3 waterslides, 2 pools, and a wading pool, mini-putt, arcade, food trucks, 3 beaches on Lake Erie (Elcho Beach is stellar, but get their early!), Quarry beach (warm still water, great for kids and adults), soccer field, basketball, tennis, skate park, wall climb, archery, axe throwing, and musical entertainment on weekends. Our kids had a great time, never a dull moment. I gave 3 stars however due to the grounds not being under control by staff. There are lots of people out at all hours (as in, I was woken up at 4am), driving their golf carts with music blaring, beer in hand, and yelling at the top of their lungs. The weekend that we were there seemed to be the worst nights, and during the week a bit quieter. We were located right in the middle of everything, close to the activity centre. Unless you are a hardcore partier, I recommend avoiding that area. There are quieter parts I'm told, and I would definitely search those out if I were to return.
Fantastic community. It feels like it is a town all its own. Great amenities, lots of fun for adults and children.
Great spot for families. We rented a couple of spots here and really enjoyed the set up. Everyone is cruising around in golf carts, they have a number of different beaches, a number of different pools, a spalsh pad, an arcade, a Boston Pizza and a small grocery store with the world's greatest butter Tarts (I'm not kidding)
Great place. A little crowded and too many under agers drinking and driving golf carts. Roads are dangerous for pedestrians
We love this place! So much to do here for everyone - beach quarry, pools and water slides; ropes course, climbing wall, trampoline, arcade; organized activities for all ages every day; fireworks and a golf cart drive-in movie theater. Facilites are always kept impeccably clean, and security makes sure everyone plays safe. On resort prices for food and beverages - and even those extra items you may want to buy from the general store, are surprisingly reasonable. Tenting and RVing stays are cheap but trailer-home rentals are quite pricey - especially during prime-time on summer long weekends. We always cringe at the price tag when we're making our reservation but year-after-year, at the end of our stay there, we always remember why it's worth it - every penny!
Great time, we stayed at a beautiful home. Amazing!!!
Beautiful beaches and clean campground. The movie nights on the beach were fun. Convenient to have a store/LCBO on site. But the golf carts....oye! A number of them go way, way too fast. Our site was facing the quarry, which was a race track near the end of the day into the evening. Not an ideal situation when you have a 2 year old. Maybe some additional speed bumps could be put in place? The wait times to get in the pool/slides/waterpark were very long. Not the campgrounds fault, but maybe try something else so that everyone can have a chance to try these without waiting in line for 1-2 hours. For example, we wanted to try the kiddie waterpark. No kids in there at the time, but we still had to wait in line w/all the others. Maybe form a different line-up for this?
Wow what a place. I've never been to any kind of cottage/resort type thing and this place blew me away. It's its own little community, complete with supermarket, Boston Pizza, arcade and an area for live music. Also, pool tables, a few bars, water park and slides. Lots of great activities everyday including fireworks every Saturday starting June 15th. Not to mention you're right by lake Erie. Everyone seems super kind, and it has an all around great vibe. My girlfriend's parents own a cottage there and I will be bugging her to go more often!!
We stayed at SherKston Shores Beach Resort 490 Empire Rd, ON , last year for 5 days it was nice so we re booked as we were leaving on the 25th of Aug 2019 and booked for 1 week for this Aug 14 2020 and they took a $500 deposit 1 year in advance on our Visa, 7 April 2020 i just called and spoke to Amie to cancelled our booking for Aug 14 2020 do to us all being out of work because of COVID 19, SHE TOLD ME THEY WILL KEEP $50.00 for me cancelling, i asked her why she said its is there policy, i said thats not fair i am cancelling 4 months in advance, and i told her i am not working do to the COVID 19, she said it doesnt matter, i just called her back and asked her if they rent out the cottage we booked for Aug 14 2020, do they still kept the 50.00 cancellation fee, she said yes, BE AWARE THIS IS NOT RIGHT WHAT THEY ARE DOING, 1 asked to speak to a manager, she told me i had to contact the owners sun rv resorts, i called them and spoke to Tammy in Michigan she was no help, she got the supper visor on the phone Mr Tiago, he told me he cant help need to contact Sherston Shores Beach Resort at 490 Empire Rd and speak to a manager there, he took my name and number and said he will have some one call me back, 15 April 2020 Eric Stephenson Manager of Sherston Shores Beach Resort at 490 Empire Rd called me to day i again explain to him what happened, that we are all out of work and plus i believe this COVID 19 will not be resolved my Aug 2020, he said it dosent matter at this time this is there policy. Love this resort! We rent every year for a week. Last year we went 2x. We just returned a few days ago & I miss it already. Great for all age groups. We do an annual girls trip & it so much fun!
Everything is just pricey. Washrooms are regularly messy, seen the same broken washroom utility for the last 3 years. Folks around here are normally driving around blasting music without care of other campers. There are some watersliders that are fun for the first slide through. Pools are normally quite packed with more designated seating areas for summer home owners than campers. They have some events, mainly good for the kids. Oh and there's a firework show almost every Saturday night, but I'd rather watch the fire burn in the submerged fire pit they offer by default that hardly gets any air to work a decent fire.
Sherkston is a great option if you're looking for a family beach/water park vacation in the Niagara Region. You can rent a range of trailer cottages from Sherkston or other home owners and be right on the shores of Lake Erie or RV/tent camp in other areas of the part. The beaches are fantastic, one end of their beach backs onto huge sand dunes. They run special events daily and there is always something interesting happening. Something unique about the park is the old mining quarry which is now filled with water. It is a interesting scuba diving spot. A lot of equipment, train carts and structures are left at the bottom.
Had a fantastic weekend with my family and a bunch of friends, we had 3 cabins in total and really enjoyed ourselves. So much for the kids to do and everything was clean and safe. The staff around the resort were all very friendly and polite. The pool and splash pad is fantastic for all ages, we had so much fun. I was highly impressed with the accessible cabin (Forest Grove #79) Well equipped for wheel chair accessibility, 2 things though they should prob have ramps over the door thresholds and secondly the dining room table was too low to get wheelchair underneath, other than that though it really was comfortable and well laid out. My husband is recently paralyzed and disabled so I was determined to have a normal family vacation with him & our 2 young children. I really wanted us to spend a day on the beach, this could of been made a little easier if it wasn't for the awful stares and shouting we got from Sherkston owners on the beachfront who were shouting at me for driving along the beach. Security had to escort me back when I went to collect him at the end of the day because people were being so rude and ignorant. Wheelchairs do NOT work in the sand so I had to drive him to find a spot suitable. It shows on the map that Wildwood and Sunset beach have a disabled wheelchair sign, so we presumed there was disabled parking as well as accessible washrooms and thought maybe it might be easy to access the beach, this was not at all the case, the washrooms were NOT accessible and there was NO disabled parking. So I had to drop my husband and kids on the beach (after verbal abuse from residents) and had to then park miles away. This was so disappointing after being pleased with everything up until then. We have booked to return next year and want to come for a full week, but I really hope the beach parking / washrooms and accessibility has improved by then. I must say though that the beach security guys were fantastic and really helpful so thank you to them. One other concern to point out is that general security around the resort should really enforce the rules for underage teenagers drinking and driving around in golf carts late at night, this was quite bad on the Sat night.
Great Family Resort. ???? ????
This place is huge. Nice and clean too It's full of different things to do. Camping, rental units and RV rental spots. There is something for everyone and all ages will be happy here.
We rented a trailer/ cottage from a friend of ours for 4 days. This is the first time I have ever been there. It was nice and relaxing. They have waterparks, mini golf ⛳, food trucks, on the weekend they had a market. I believe they have 2 or 3 beaches. Good fun for all ages. Everything seems to be very organized, taken care and does get busy on the weekends. Good time with family. Look forward to going back soon. Bubba.
This place is Amazing! The people are wonderful, everyone owns a golf cart to drive around in. They have an arcade, general store, paintball, live music. You won't be disappointed. Bring alcohol with you tho, as the general store doesn't sell it. And no one driving the golf cart under 18. They will give you a huge ticket.
Great family resort with a ton to do. We spent most of our time at the beach which was great!
Great place for the whole family. Online pics don't do it any justice. Deff a hidden gem. Rustic cabins get very very hot so bring fan or Ac. Pet friendly but dogs can only go to the beach before 8am or after 8 PM. Really wish they would change at least one of the beaches so you can bring dogs. Other than that amazing!!!!!
I have two rental trailers in the Sherkston grounds. There is so much to do for all age groups. The beaches are on Lake Erie and are great to lounge on. The quarry is excellent for those who are not a fan of the lake but want to feel the sand between their toes. I personally, do not care for pools, if you prefer that as your option, the pool area is pretty nice too! Pool bar, water slides, splash pad, hot tub etc. There is nightly entertainment, mini putt and skate park / sports courts to keep the kids busy! I have always felt safe to let my kids have a bit of freedom on the grounds. I am looking forward to another summer of fun with my family, if you are interested in renting please dm me!
Very cool place. Tons of things for the family to do...perfect place to spend a week for the summer. Beaches, quarry beach, water slides, splash pad, pools, restaurants, arcade, skate park, tons of parks, golf cart rental....the lost goes on and on.
Had a very wonderful time with friends and family. Awesome resort!
It's like going to an all-inclusive vacation where you bring your own food and cook while you save. The staff from the reception specialists to the security guards are so kind and courteous. It's like a little piece of heaven on earth. Weather was pretty balanced even with the storm we had at night, it was thrilling. The only negative things to watch for, are the human rodents who are drunk and wild at night stealing coolers and other campers stuff in the middle of the night between 2 & 4 a.m. Just keep all your stuff inside your trailer or tent so as not to attract attention. Perhaps the owners of Sherkston Shores could install some CCTV camera around the campground so it could prevent people from this kind of behavior. Or better yet, just write on a board and put on your camper, "Theft prevention camera Activated". The washrooms are exceptionally clean with free flowing showers. Swimming pool water is warm with comfortable amount of chlorine, not unbearable. Boston pizza food is delicious and affordable. Over all, we all enjoyed our vacation and we are going back again soon. We ask all campers who read this review to please come with a positive attitude and pleasant behavior so we can all enjoy this place to the fullest with grace and ease. Just bring your self-discipline self with you. Blessings. Sakirah J
Rented and stayed a couple nights at one of the evergreen RV's. We had a 2 bedroom RV, but there was enough space to house 8 people. There was also a lot of space in our area, enough space for a large tent to house more people. The evironment and neighboring tenant's were all incredibly nice. It was only minutes away from the beach. The long beach provides enough space for you to park your car or rented golf cart by the shore. Skerkston Shores also has a water park and arcade available just 3 minutes away from our evergreen RV. We were never bored and loved the RV we stayed in.
Great place for kids with lots of things to keep them busy. The only thing I was disappointed in is the lack of security at night. Every time we camp in the tent section there are teenagers on golf carts riding around throughout the night yelling and screaming . Last weekend they were banging on our tent (3:00 am) and telling us to wake up. I didnt feel safe as I'm sure there was alchohol involved while driving their carts . To ensure the safety for the campers may I suggest more frequent patrols
Awesome resort. Lots of beach to enjoy in the sun. The overall resort is great. Awesome water slides and pool with bar. My family always has a great time.
It's nice. But be prepared if you are a light sleeper like me. Some people party till early hours in the morning and it is no fun. Other than that, if you don't love camping like me, it's super convenient to camp next to a supermarket and get really tasty fresh bread first thing in the morning. I'd give it 5 stars if the other people staying there were more considerate or if the resort had a more efficient way of enforcing silence.
We rented my cousins cottage for a long time and then we decide to buy are own Cottage that's how good it was we meet so many new friends here it's good for children and their family it's perfect for a family
So much fun .....great place with a ton of fun things for children and the whole family
Great summer vacation atmosphere! Lots of amenities, beach is clean. Parks for kids to play.
Overpriced for everything, and overbooked, full of people rent out their trailers so your relaxing time at your trailer is ruined by under kids drinking partying and driving golf karts drinking and texting while having music blasting speeding around the speedbumps and disrespectful people all over the place. (covid part) you look around and everything and everywhere is over packed with people with NO MASKS/ SOCIAL DISTANCING. They give out free ice-cream and don't care if you have a mask or if you don't stay apart they have mini golf and arcades open no masks or volume limits sure at the water park or beach don't wear em but keep your distance BUT NOONE DOES! We are selling our trailer not dealing with this overpriced total lack of care for safety or the law DO NOT BUY/RENT OR COME HERE NOT SAFE
The resort is not managed well enough. We had to wait 2 hours to check in, as our cabin was not ready at 4pm. The 3 bedroom deluxe cabin is very basic, TV cable only has the basic channels, the WiFi is very low quality. The worst part is that we have to wait in line for 1 hour before we can get in the pool. The beach is not nice, too many rocks. In my opinion, it's not worth the price they charge.
Lots of amenities. Tons of stuff for 14-19 year olds. Beach is great. Great convenience store with everything. Huge property. No complaints. Stayed as a guest, not sure about rentals.
Very nice and clean. The wifi totally sucs! After a while I had to turn wifi off n just use my data. Also it took way too long to get through the gate. When we were leaving the park the line to get in was nearly 1km long! Also, to watch out is the golf carts being driven by teens, at night specially dangerous. Should be 3.5 ????
Nice location summertime good luck honey people who want to go have fun
Very relaxing and so much entertainment for the entire family. The quarry beach is such a nice clean beach for swimming. Love going to sherkston !
Amazing place! Our band The Forlorn Hope.. was lucky enough to play there on a Saturday night the end of May! Great crowd and atmosphere and the whole community is like one big summer family!
Daughters and grandkids had a blast great place
Amazing place for the family ! We had some much fun and everything was clean and organized. The cabins where clean and spacious. Love the fact they have an LCBO on site and do t have to leave. Would recommend to everyone !
Very fun! Everyone loved it, my only complaint is the water park has weird hours during covid and we ended up waiting in line (in the sun) for 45 minutes. Otherwise Awesome
Great fun for the kids lots of activities. You must rent a golf cart during your stay. Makes getting around soooo much easier.
I booked the ALF08 cottage. It is very old and the power was jumping every 5 minutes until someone from the maintenance came and fixed it for the day but the next day it was jumping again so we couldn't use air conditioning alongside the lights without being left without power which was very inconvenient with 2 little kids! We had to sleep on a mattress cover that was basically a bag on top, which was very uncomfortable and we actually left A-day earlier even though we paid fully for another day, because we couldn't take it anymore. We cleaned and took out the garbage just like it was asked. A week later I was charged with $500 for not cleaning it properly but with no explanation or provided proof. I called to find out why I was charged and demanded photos to prove for the so called damaged they claimed I did. After sending several emails and several phone calls I still haven't received any proof or response on their part but still did not get my money back. I highly don't recommend this cottage.
Great place lots to do lots of fun ????
Won't be staying here or recommending it to any of our fellow camping friends!! How can anyone possibly afford this place? First, you can't stroll in when you want, they only allow you to check in on Friday and leave Monday, or check in Monday and leave Friday - those are your only 2 options! I was just quoted $748 for 3 nights and that was NOT a long weekend!! $249 a night for an empty lot is just plain highway robbery and completely unethical! There is plenty of other great campgrounds at reasonable rates, we will be booking elsewhere and I would suggest you do as well unless you can afford it!!
Seasonal family resort. Lots of ammenities such as a splash park, water slide, swimming pool, bungy aparatus, tennis courts, onsite restaurant(s), onsite general store and of course it is built on the sandy shores of Lake Erie. Predominantly a membership owned facility where you buy a spot (complete with monthly dues) and install your own mobile home etc. They do however have a limited selection of short-term rental sites available for vacationers etc. Watch out for the hundreds of golf carts zooming around! Very popular resort.
Quarry is beautiful. Beaches are very nice. Shallow water. Didn't get to use the pool much because of lineups to get in. Bathrooms in the camping areas need some love. The rustic cabin is awesome! Golf cart a must!!! Overall very fun place with lots to do. Will return :)
A very large and unique place with lots of activities, but also very expensive. We stayed in our RV 4 nights in Cliffview ( site 2 ), where every night gangs of loud ,spoiled and disrespectful teenage punks would congregate to get high in the washroom and recklessly tear around in their absent fathers $ 5000 dollar golf carts. These carts probably do 30 km/h , sometimes with no headlights , always with music blasting. My granddaughter was nearly hit by one on night two, my niece on night three.Do NOT book into this area, very dangerous place.Even the cars and staff dive way too fast. Security is minimal on this side of the park ,and non existent at night, these punks know that .Had to explain to my 8 year old grandson why girls and boys were going into the mens washroom together. In fact , save your money ,book another campground for half the price , and take your kids to a local beach or waterpark. I am a seasoned camper ,never felt so nervous as i did in this park for safety .....forgot to mention that our site completely flooded out in 30 minutes of rain ...REALLY crappy site ( cliffview 2 ) Please pick another site and beware of the danger , someone WILL get injured here ,if they havent already.Pretty sure we wont ever go back, the beautiful waterpark just wasnt worth the anxiety and $150 a night price tag.
We went for Memorial Day weekend, brought our own golf cart. We were in a very obscure site. We went to sleep late at night, and when we got up at 6am, our golf cart was gone. I feel like it was an inside job- maybe an employee saw us come in with US plates and a non-descript golf cart and let a friend know. I've heard since that golf cart thefts are common at Sherkston. Didn't get much help from Sherkston, not even an apology or a discount on the golf cart we now had to rent to get around. Now I know why everything is chained down here. I really liked the water park and beaches, I just feel like my valuables are not safe here and that's sad for such a nice resort
Bathrooms need better cleaning. Noise levels need more attention
Friendly, fun atmosphere. Beautiful cottages. Great for kids!
Expensive! $495 for camping, we wanted two nights (Saturday and Sunday) but they said we had to pay 4 nights regardless. They said it included aĺl the water park but we aren't camping with kids. We ended up not staying, couldn't justify the price. Toured the park very large and clean.
Great family fun! Quiet clean park with lots of activities for the kids
This is pretty much the situation here. Pictures speak louder than BS old reviews. Hazardous broken fire pits, garbage everywhere, your clothes will all be blue from peeling bench paint. Pretty much all sites in my area are the same. Called the office twice and they did nothing. Neighbors get drunk and loud that my kids couldn’t sleep till midnight, got tired of calling security. Looks neglected and no maintenance! Every time you exit for groceries, 15 min to get back in at the one person gate. They could easily give you RFID cards that cost $5 for quick entry. No online check-in!! Not coming back here.
Great place for families with children of all ages. Splash pad is great for the little ones. Water park is fun for all ages. Beach is very nice but far from some trailers. Trailer was very nice and clean. I would definitely return here another summer.
Neat place. We stayed at Mallard and it was more spacious and quiet. Some areas are packed together and crowded. If coming for first time take a drive through first and check out the different areas before renting.
Beaches are beautiful, didn't go to the pool, but my daughter did she enjoyed it,nice place for family camping ,parks for kids, market on Wednesday, food trucks, there is lots to do at a great price, the only thing is the washroom not the best
Staff doesn't care about tent renters was here last night and I'm here today and I want to check out early because the people who owns spots which I understand pay more of the bills get the full run of the place they can be blasting music until 2 in the morning and security comes and tells us about to be quiet and we follow the rules to the never came back but the people in the owner spots were blasting music until 2 a.m. and I called to complain and it never came down and told they went to sleep and if you're waiting in line to get to the store and an owner comes in they get to jump in front of you on the line while if you're just a renter you got stuck waiting in the heat
Really nice resort but the RV section is full Sun a few trees for shade would be great
Love this place...Lakeshore...a pool experience with water slide, splash pad, heated pool, and hot tub....cart rental ... they have camping, rv hookups, rustic cabins, and we stayed in the awesome rental trailers. Our kids had a great stay
Sherkston is a place to go and relax. They have a lot of amenities on site. There is something for everyone from kids to adults. With a Boston pizza, LCBO and a general store that have very reasonable prices on food and groceries, there is no reason to leave the resort once you arrive. There are several ways to book your stay from companies like Serenity at Sherkston to AirBnb to Sherkston own website. If you want a summer getaway, look no further
Wouldn't let 14 year old children play in Arcade because they didn't have government I.D. along with their valid Vaccine certificates. They are underage children, there is no law in Canada to support this. I will never be staying here again.
Too crowded, not enough parking, ignorant people. I wasn't worried about hitting people while driving, I was afraid of them hitting me. There are children driving golf carts! Where's the security?!?
I love it here.. I stayed this week for the first time ever and I didn't want to go home. The guest and staff are so nice and helpful. This place is great for kids of all ages, there is something for everyone. The only thing I have to say is after you have paid to rent a cabin nothing is included. It is very expensive
We've been hooked since the first time which was 7 years ago. Over the years more and more of my kids friends are also coming too. You definitely need a golf cart to get around. So make sure you rent one. One of the best places for a family to vacation in Ontario
Love Sherkston, its been my summer place since I was a small child. A lot has changed for the better. Would be nice to see removal of enormous amounts of rocks in the water at Wildwood beach though.
Could never afford their fees but love visiting my family. Kids always have a blast. Golf carts after a night of drinking can be major danger zone for kids. Be aware.
Great place for family getaway. Water is very clean at the beach. You can sit by the pool while the kids are swimming in a supervised environment or sit on the sands and read a book. Paddle boats, water tricycle and kayaks are available for rent. They do rent out snorkeling equipment but it's a good idea to bring your own. Movies under the stars and in the sand is an awesome and fun feature. Everything you need is within minutes. Must visit these beautiful waters.
Cool place with plenty of fun activities. Real estate is a little expensive though
Theres things to do for everyone. You have different beaches to choose from, a clean quarry for younger kids, water parks, basketball courts and more. The place is huge and they provide golf carts for you to get around. Indoor beers store and Boston Pizza is a huge bonus!
Sherkston has very nice sandy beaches. They take after the seaweed so there is usually none on the beach. The waterpark usually takes a long time to get in due to covid. They make you line up to wait for the previous group to finish, which means you get a limited time in the pool area. It’s very expensive to rent for the weekend so if you are going to, be prepared to pay a pretty penny. Overall the experience at Sherkston at be very enjoyable. Golf carts are definitely a must have when going to the beach. (Especially if you have kids).
Not for overnight RVing! The price is insanely high...We paid over $500 for a weekend to have a spot in front of the quarry beach. When we got here we found out that the water has to be tested every day to find out if humans can actually swim in it. The place is only set up for owners and seasonal site vacationers. There are all these special pools and clubs that are only for the owners but the people that pay over $500 for a weekend get nothing. Tried to talk to management and nobody bothered getting back to us at all.
Fantastic place for a camping holiday! Entertainment for the whole family! Beaches are great & kept clean. It is a lot of fun driving golf Carts on the beach. I would highly recommend this place for your summer vacation.
Perfect weekend spot for small groups of friends. Family and pet friendly resort with lots of options to keep everyone engaged. Pools, beaches, arcades, mini put, and more.
Wow just wow. What a place. Something you have to experience for your self. It's a resort with no need to leave. Boston Pizza on site as well as a full grocery store, LCBO, convenience store plus so many activities. Check out their web site but it doesn't do the place justice. Worth the cost to rent a trailer.
So much to do, great place for kids of all ages. To all families: definitely recommend visiting
The Best., Beautiful.for camping.
While my review of the Sherkston resort and facilities were 5*. My experience with dealing with a private rental was a nightmare. I have stayed at Sherkston several times in the past and have rented from friends and directly from the resort itself. This last time, I decided to try a private rental from kijiji. - Meeja Inc Upon arrival at the trailer, we noticed that there spiderwebs on the light fixtures, rat droppings behind the sofa as well as a thick layer of dust and also a used bandaid on the bed spread. While these are unpleasant things, we figured its a trailer and we plan to spend most of our time outdoors. The rest of the trailer was fine and in good shape. On our last day, we spent 2 hrs cleaning the trailer; swept floors, cleaned the sinks and stove etc. leaving it the same way as when we had arrived and then dropped of the keys to the welcome centre. So I was quite surprised when I returned home and got a message from the owner stating: 'The kitchen table has not been cleaned, nor the toilet. Floors were not mopped and the appliances not wiped down. She also mentioned that we left our butter in the fridge". I advised her that the place was cleaned as we had found it and indeed we had forgot the butter in the fridge. She then said that SHE PAID Sherkston $140 to come in and professionally the trailer. I thought that was ridiculous, and asked her to provide a copy of the invoice from Sherkston. She said she would be happy to provide the invoice. She said she would deduct $100 from my security deposit and cover the remaining $40 herself. 2 hrs later I received a message from her husband advising that he came to the trailer and cleaned it himself. And that he would have charged me much more that $100 to clean it. So....where exactly did they pay out $140 to clean the trailer. This was completely false! I have requested my $100 deposit back but she has refused. This is a property owner taking full advantage of their renters. Beware when you rent privately. I am sure that there are some/several owners that are trustworthy but this experience has made me much more cautious about renting from people that I don't know.
Had a Great Family Vaca at Sherkston! Great Pool Area, Amazing Beach and Great all around Family Fun. They were super careful with all Covid Protocals and super Clean! As annoying as it may seem, I appreciated them shutting down the pool half way through the day for a covid cleaning and then reopening.
The best resort. Clean love to camp.
Great place to bring the family, perhaps a larger pool and more security on the beaches to minimize drinking and bottles being broken and left on the ground. But overall a lot of fun
Beach is well maintained and much clearer than Wasaga Beach. However the pool on site is too small for the amount of people on the resort (overcrowded and not cleaned regularly). Also the only restaurant on the property is Boston Pizza which is horrendous. Occasionally food trucks visit the area which is a bonus. Overall worth the stay.
This place is amazing! You feel like you are away on vacation in Mexico! So many activities and amazing vast clean beaches. Nothing in Ontario beats Sherkston!
There was an endless amount of things to do for the entire family to stay busy for the 4 days we were there. Cleaning could have been better but we have been to places way worse. Staff was all nice and accommodating to any needs. Highly suggest this place for families of almost any age. If your staying in the rustic cabins bring a fan!!!
This is such a wonderful place to take the family. Been going here for over 10 years, my family looks forward to coming every summer. Beautiful beaches and amazing pool.
Our family just stayed in 2 different cottages in the Dunes section of Sherkston Shores. This was our first visit to Sherkston and we had been hesitant in our booking as we'd seen some negative reviews, but we have nothing but praise for our experience this past week. From the helpful booking agents who alleviated our concerns with knowledgeable answers, booking us into the perfect unit for us; to the staff and caretakers of the facility for keeping the premises spotless and impressively clean and maintained. Every staff member we encountered was warm, helpful and friendly. We had one minor issue in our unit with hot water and maintenance was there immediately and had the issue resolved with a simple adjusted setting. The beaches were beautiful, the pools fantastic for the kids. If you're looking to swim lengths you likely won't be able to here, but the lake and quarry are always available. Please never solely rely on the life guards, they are young and doing their best, but not always as attentive as my parenting style would wish for; but my kids are MY responsibility, not theirs. The water slides were a blast!! It's always the negative ones who take time to respond, so hopefully you've read our review and see there are two sides to every story and so many great things about this park that make it worth attending. Our family will definitely be back!
Just spent 4 days at Sherkston. Everything about it is AMAZING!! Highly recommend! Tons of fun things to do. Definitely going to make it a family tradition, going back again and again.
What can you say about this place. We have been coming here for the last 5 years and let's just say that unless your a seasonal camper here. Don't expect any peace. With the golf carts flying around playing rap music and large groups with large decks playing music all the time. Drinking all day long and at night they just get louder. There is so many full time sites now that there is no place to get quite . Too bad it always been a busy park but now some of the full time owners are chirping at the temp people. Cause they don't won't you to come back.
This resort ground can be pretty confusing to navigate through. Didn't experience the whole resort, just went to a paintball place inside the resort. It seems like a fun place, everyone drives golf carts here.
Awsome place for families & friends, a little bit pricey and only one food option (Boston Pizza), otherwise always great times. ***FYI the Boston Pizza is private and only for people are guests / staying in the park.
We booked our rental over the phone and booked a standard cottage. We were not informed that these do not provide linens for the beds or bath towels for your stay. We therefore showed up without those. The bed in the cottage was beyond uncomfortable. The cottage upon our check in was not clean, there were stains, cobwebs, after walking around barefoot my feet were black. We enjoyed our time at the water and wish it had not been overshadowed by our very poor experience in the cottage. A cheap hotel would have been cleaner and provid linens. Wish we would have been told when booking.
Amazing getaway specially during summer time. Clean, nice cabins. Waterpark is good. There are several other activities available included in cabin price. Got a great deal for two weekend nights with friends families. Golf cart is around $80 extra. All of us had fun.
truly i liked the place been going off and on since my daughter was 2. just got back and the new facilities are great, staff is great, daytime fantastic, cant beat the beach but, night time / early evening is a drunken teen dream and they are all over the map driving carts drunk without any regard. not sure what they can do to stop this but its turning into a party park for teens who obviously use there parents owned trailer. If your bringing little ones have a great time but if you dislike plenty of drunken teens, i would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. I tried to bring it to there attention but they ignored an simply deleted the post.
You take your life in your hands if you try to go for a walk. Everyone has a golf cart and they run them at top speed. There are speed bumps but they drive around them into the walking path even when someone is trying to walk there. The sequrity people were available, but were not maintaining control. There's hundreds of rules written down on the contract but they are not being enforced. Neighbours were partying till 2:30 in the morning then started a car with loud exhaust and let it run for a half hour. The lake beach was ruined by high water and seaweed, dead fish and a dead seagull. The quarry beach was OK. It's definitely not what we expect for 200+ per night. Would never go there again.
This resort has gotten far too expensive, while they have replaced many amenities in the past decade, they are less fun and more costly. Also, cellular reception is atrocious in the park, most phones try to connect to American towers and cannot be used without roaming charges.
Grew up going here for the day and very sad that you can’t get the day pass any longer. There should be more advertisement of that. This wasn’t that big of a deal however the older stocky balding man working the enterance was completely RUDE and unprofessional. He could not have been more inconvenienced that we didn’t know something that wasn’t properly advertised. He was extremely condescending and made us feel so stupid. I would never put my money into this resort after this experience. He was the least welcoming person you could have picked to be the face of your resort. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY.
Had a very nice time camping for a couple of days. Quarry was nice, water slides and pools were great for the kids. Lots to see and do plus it was all reasonably clean ad maintained.
Beautiful place with lots of choice of activities.
It just opened and I did not have the chance to go out and see what is new and besides it is too soon. What I have noticed, so much improvement have been done
For the last 4 years I rent two cottages side by side and our whole family comes for a vacation. Our grandchildren just love the place because there’s so much to do. We’re already booked for next year as it is a very nice discount to re book while you are there. We have only one complaint about the park and it’s one I believe the owners need to deal with ASAP. The rental cottages have huge decks but no cover over them. With summers getting hotter I think the park owners owe their renters a covered deck area similar to what all the private owners have. The heat is getting more repressing each summer and it would be nice to enjoy the outdoors without baking to death or having to sit inside in expensive A/C please take this into consideration for next year. Dunes 12 and 12 next year folks.
Very good place for the kids. A little to many speed bumps I could understand having same, but not on both sides of every intersection. Lots to do and lots of area to enjoy the water
Beautiful family park. Long line up for the water park. Didnt get a chance to go in. Tried 3x. Overall great experience.
I suggest everyone visit Sherkston Shores Beach. It is one the best place to stay on Cottage and RVs (rentals available.) Kids and Family Friendly beaches, various amenities to use throughout the day and night. Kids will love Magic Show and Movie nights.
Good location. 30 mins from niagara falls. Fun waterslides. Beautiful beach. However full of teenagers who cliff jump and ride on golf carts everywhere. Also a lot of snobby people everywhere. Very expensive. Not rlly worth it.
Great during the day. Had a awesome time with the kids. Night life was just a huge party so we had a hard time sleeping. Also found a bunch of digger wasp nests by our camp site. The bees where over a inch long. They didnt seem agressive but were very large and in the ground and all along the kids play ground area.
Amazing Beach Campground Resort, clean, affordable and a ton of amenities!!! This place is a repeat destination for us in the summer, can't praise it enough❤
Good resort, very busy on the weekends. Some guests are inconsiderate of fellow campers (loud, driving golf carts through sites being used). Security doesn't seem to enforce some rules of campground (eg loud after 11 pm), which is disappointing.
Beautiful gated community with access to a pool area including slides and two pools, as well as ample beach access. Everyone gets around on good carts which is nice as cars aren't able to travel well, oweing to the fact they try and keep the cars moving at a crawl, as there are many people and children. Huge grounds and always something to do!
Great family fun for all. We all had a great time. Our second day it rained and they kept the pools and water park open the boys were so happy cause no lines.
Had a great time,we always enjoy going there and not far from home ???? up
Great Sunny September Saturday at Sherkston with great friends!
Beautiful well kept resort with very friendly staff. The rental home we had was top of the line appliances which included a dishwasher. And spacious. The rooms all had tvs which was nice for the kids to have a bit of quite time and to watch before they went to bed mind you they were so busy i think they all just passed out once there heads hit the pillows which btw were included with the cottage thats right no need to bring your pillows blankets or towels as they are provided and to top it off daily house keeping. The views are breath taking!!! Im an early bird and some of my fav moments were sitting on the over sized deck complete with dinning table and chairs bbq and lounge chairs, and sipping my coffee watching the water. Sherkston is not short on activities, they have one of the best pool areas i have ever seen. 2 heated pools 3 mega huge waterslides and a kids area with bucket dump and slides . Also for a small fee they offer rock climbing trampolines and more. A huge arcade basket ball courts and a skate park. One thing i wish i had known about was the skate park kids scooters are so easy to fold up and bring. I was also very surprised that the store on site sold everything no need to find a store off the property they will have it. If u wanna have a night off from cooking Sherkston has its very own Boston pizza restaurant. We were there 5 days and i wish to be a returning guest.
We rented from a BNB owner. Trailer was clean and nice. Sherkston was very Covid-19 safe. Pool and area cleared and cleaned regularly. Lots of events for kids to stay busy. I would put more security around the areas where under age kids are drinking and driving golf carts..An experience I observed myself on Movie night by the Quarry.
Seems to be quite understaffed. Everything is designed so that you'll spend as much money as possible. The only things that are free include mini golf, pool, water park, Table Tennis Shuffleboard. Other things that are free but you need things to play include basketball, ball hockey, pickleball. The resort is quite large and there is no parking for cars so you're forced to rent golf carts which are not cheap $75 per day 4 person $100 per day 6 person. Only thing that is good is that the cafe has good priced coffee, the quarry is a nice spot when you get there early.
This is the first time i have written a review, just came back with my family from a 5 day, 4 night trip to Sherkston Shores, my boys are in their teens and had a blast. Alot of amenities 3 water slides, pools, splashpad for the littles as well as many playgrounds to choose from.... goofy golf, table tennis, shuffle board, archery etc. I would highly recommend avoiding the weekends, we stayed Monday thru Friday and it was not as busy as some of the negative reviews. We did not witness this but apparently the Cliffview sites are where the teens congregate to party, so we did not book a site there. The beaches were clean and watching the sunset on lake Erie was beautiful. Golf cart rentals are available and definitely a must due to the trailer park being like a small town, the supermarket is fully stocked as well, Boston Pizza is located next to it. This park is quite pricey but with all of its amenities it was worth it. The park is 25 minutes away from Niagara Falls and the outlets mall as well. ????
It was all i hoped for...facilities were nice and clean..the beaches were wonderful except the cart were too expensive
Had a great time .the park is kept very clean and the family feels safe being here 2nd yr in a row coming here see you next yr
If you like a crowd and the party atmosphere it's the place for you .beach could be a little bigger.
Beautiful family RESORT! If you’re family is looking for a vacation styled camping trip this is definitely the place! So much for kids, teens, and adults to do! Not a cheap place to say but definitely worth it! Honestly the BEST “trailer park” I’ve ever been to.
Always a great time camping at Sherkston! It seems cost is going sky high for a weekend why! $185 this year for weekend the same dates for next year is over $400. Only bad thing other than rates is security is a joke loud obnoxious parties and people u til 4am! And no we security drove by or checked on it! To end on a good note: fireworks saturday nights are Amazing! A great display!!
If you'd like to get away but have very little time sherkston Shores is only less than 2 hours away which is a perfect little getaway. I spent many weekends here with the family which we all love but the only downside is the quickly growing population. I would still suggest to anyone to check it out
Great, relaxing time. Plenty on sun, sand and fun. Pools beaches, water slides and your own private cottage to retreat too. Golf cart was well worth the cost, this place is huge.
Super place to chill out. Love location, infrastructure, golf cart rental. It's place to unwind from regular business week. Will recommend for families or for friend looking to spend memorable weekend. Fire pits. Fireworks for Saturdays during summer. Restaurant, bar on property. Convenience store if you forgot to take essential with you. Love that place. Will come back for more good time.
Big commotion at 4am. A man started screaming at his wife, clearly drunk, EVERYONE could hear him, he was switching between what sounded spanish and english, there was a lot of swearing and blaming her for ruining his life. So of course we call security and they come up and they basically dont do anything because the security is a bunch of teens who need money, so they call the police, they show up and everyone was standing outside their tents now. The police couldn't find him, are you kidding me, this man was yelling, screaming, trashing camp sites for an hour and a half and you can't find him. Police are supposed to make everyone feel and safe and they leave. After all that, everyone tries to go back to sleep, but, it starts pouring, thunder and lighting, so we had to take what we could and leave and grab our stuff later that day, mind you its 6 am by this time. Obviously the rain isnt your fault but it was all a very bad experience.
A trailer park resort in Ontario! Outdoor waterpark with 3 waterslides, fun splash pad, 2 pools, toddler pool and hot tub. Free mini-golf and paid activities. Pre-covid there would be nightly and daily entertainment. Great for the entire family. Stunning beach and Lake Erie views. A bit overcrowded in my opinion, and Sun V Resorts is still building more trailers and adding trailers anywhere they can. This summer construction noise could be heard in most areas if the resort, especially for friends staying and looking for a relaxing getaway in the Quarry area. Loud music can be heard from many trailers and decks and music should be enforced on the beach, way too many bluetooth speakers pumping with bass and most times inappropriate music for the many children on the beach. Best external speakers were not allowed on the beach especially and volume enforced at personal trailers. Overall great resort and vacation spot.
Friendly staff, great facilities. Nothing to complain about here. This place has alot going for it. Worth visiting for the experience, it may or may not be everyone's favorite but it definitely will be for many. Worth visiting.
This place has a large colony of neglected cats. I guess people leave cats behind when their vacation is over, and they have multiplied. No one there does anything to help, and people have shot cats with pellet guns to take care of the 'problem'. Why would anyone want to spend their hard earned money at such a place?
I find this beautiful place clean well-organized, safe community, great for relaxing and getting away with the families and singles. Beautiful scenery everywhere couldn't ask for a better place thanks Sherkston for all you've done
Between ecoli alerts and teenagers playing demolition derby with golf carts... kinda takes away from the experience.
My family has been at Sherkston Shores since the late 70s and I've spent my entire life here. The beach is beautiful and people are very friendly. It's a wonderful place for families with lots of amenities. Things have changed quite drastically for the better at Sherkston. But I must say, I love this place.
Great place for family and kids. Clean, quiet, and lots of fun
Didn't expect much and got surprised big time. The place is super clean, well organized and perfectly designed for families with children. The water park is awesome, there's a playground, arcade games room and more! The supermarket has everything you may need! Don't worry if you forgot something or just ran out of space.. The prices are obviously 25-35 percent higher than your superstore.
What a great weekend! packed with lots of fun and laughter! Stayed with 4 adults and 1 child in the rustic cabins, very clean and accommodating, we enjoyed all the amenities that the resort had to offer especially the pool and the water slides and not to mention the beaches very clean! facilities were stocked and cleaned all weekend long showers were decently clean as well. We rented a golf cart a must have for traveling around the resort, a quick and easy way getting around! we had a blast already booked for next summer cheers!
Amazing location and the Cottages are so elegant. Lake Eerie overlooks this Resort incredible views and atmosphere.
Too many rich, drunk 15 year olds driving golf carts making the place horrible
We expended a weekend celebrating my husband birthday in Sherkston. He really enjoyed his birthday and his time off. This place has several activities and environments to get entertained. You can enjoy the beaches, pools, minigolfs, campfire, camping areas, arcade, etc. recommended
Beautiful place for summer and water activities. The golf cart ride is an amazing experience. Amazing resorts and fun activities
I rented at number 8 sunset for $1600 Us per week. A complete and utter DUMP left after three days. Three quarters of the windows were without screens, the carpet was dingy and smelled of mold. The kitchen utensils were enough for two people even though the scumbag owner said it sleeps 10. I guess he wanted us to eat in shifts. The park itself is nice and the surrounding trailers to this dump are well maintained even with this neighborhood eyesore . All the owner wants is to rent enough times to pay his fees and doesn’t give a hoot about the misleading photos he sends out or the fact he is renting a dump. Stay away from this trailer and rent elsewhere.
Terrible place for adults .looks ok for children .I read the rules and fines and never seen anything like it in my 64 years .they pay all that money and are so controlled. I am not impressed with the regulations 're golf cart registration ECT. I would not stay there if they paid me .true story.
Just returned from vacation there with a family of 5: Let's start with the cons: - Expensive, rented a nice trailer home, $1500 for 5 days - Dogs of leash, especially at the beach - Many of the experiences cost extra, arcade, trampoline, rock climbing etc. golf cart rentals are $85/day, kayak rentals are like $27 an hour - Lots of inappropriate bathing suits (no fault of the resort) - All staff seem to be very young - Expect to have about 5 near death experiences per day with golf carts - Very busy place, like a mall at Christmas time - Tons of chlorine in the pool - Some of the kids activities (like craft time) are disappointing, think paper plate, popsicle stick and glue - My trailer had no propane bbq, but it did have a charcoal grill - Lot of young kids driving golf carts blaring rap music from bluetooth speakers - Lake Erie shoreline was a zoo The pros: - Everything is clean - Nothing is broken, it's all functional and in good shape - Trailers are in great shape and clean - Quarry beach and the lake Erie shoreline are beautiful and clean - Water slides were fun, line ups were not bad - Lots to do for kids - Friendly staff - "Supermart" has more than you'd expect and prices were within reason - Lots of clean places for garbage that are not too far but not too close - It was impressive to see the staff out early in the morning cleaning up the place, beaches, roads etc to keep it up All in all I think it was ok, if the price was a bit better I'd give it 4 stars. I would go back but in a more affordable fashion. Ridiculous bathing suits and obnoxious kids are no fault of the resort. I think prices could be better and people could be around to get those dogs on leashes, the park does have dog parks around the place for dogs.
Beware of renting 17 Mallard in the Elco beach area. We paid a premium price with a hefty deposit and left the cottage just as we found it. We had an issue with the oven drawer on the first day but didn’t think much of it. It wouldn’t open for us on the last day and we left without notifying the owner(my bad). Not only were we charged $350 dollars for the oven (without a receipt), we also got an extremely rude and angry phone call that ended in her hanging up on me. Totally unprofessional and judging by other reviews on trip advisor this woman makes bank on the backs of her renters. Her cottage is nice, the owner is not.
Just amazing ... Perfect for the little ones. Pools, beaches, campfires and good times all within a short distance.
I owned a trailor there. Long story short, I was vacationing there for a week. I had 6 children with me. The place burnt down to nothing, luckily no one got hurt. We lost everything and sherkston never contacted us once about the situation. They took our full maintenance fees and not even a phone call from them.
Went there for a wedding engagement, I was really impressed. Wonderful carnival atmosphere, Kid-friendly, enjoyed the fireworks at night. Will definitely return.
Sherkston is a great family resort. It has a vast amount of activities for everyone to enjoy at any time with the choice of living like you were at home in a luxurious trailer or camping near a quarry. I highly recommend giving this resort a try.
Lakeview rental was great! Overpriced for what you get for sure, but I paid for the view. You can rent for cheaper for a non lake view. Booked a Mon-Friday to avoid the weekend crowds. Warning: gnats are a big problem especially near the lake. Keep doors closed at all times..
Great Family Resort. Well kept, clean and packed full of adventure. Always something to do. Beautiful Sunsets
Friendly place, lots to do. The drinks at the pool are amazing, and the golf carts were great especially with the weather not so good.
I had a very unpleasant interaction at the park yesterday, security guard Josh racially profiled me and called me the n word. I have multiple witnesses of the situation, and believe that racism is a issue we should be facing especially in 2021. When I asked Josh for his manager he told me he is the manager. I am deeply hurt and mentally affected by the situation.
I love this place. We go here from time to time during summer. I think this is one of the best resorts in Ontario. Good amenities. They have swimming pools, pet area with fence, football field, aerial challenge obstacle course, club house, arcade, fishing area, forest for trekking, etc. Free concert every Friday and Saturday. The clean the beach every morning so it's clean with algea. Most importantly, it's safe as there is a 24hrs security driving around from time to time.
Beach was over crowded with. Teenagers ,who were very rowdy and did not keep social distance, total lack of security
Extremely disappointing experience after coming here for few times before for the past 5 year, we have had an awful experience. I have emailed to Tony the General Manager back in July and no answer till this day, which is even more infuriating. Lack of responsibility and very disrespectful. Due to wonderful previous experience we have decided to celebrate a 3 year old boy birthday at the Sherkston Shore; we all were looking forward for this getaway vacation, adults and kids as I’m sure we all can relate giving the circumstances consider the fact of being quarantine for over 3 months at home. Everything was wonderful and the kids were having such a blast, they have finally had an opportunity to be outside with their friends, a 4 year old boy were enjoying himself by coming out of the pool just so he can jump back, we were asked by the lifeguard about 3 times that he can’t go in because there is a limitation of people and it maxed. We have explained to the 4 YEAR OLD BOY that you can’t jump and you have to wait if coming out of the pool even though all of his friends and family is having fun in the pool, in saying that most of us (adults) were sitting by the pool and not going in out of respect to others and just so our kids and others can go in due to 30 people limitation in the pool. We discipline a 4 year old boy because he was so excited and wanted to enjoy his time with his friends and brother that had a birthday that day. The very interesting part of this is that Trish Henry announced during this time that “if you leave the pool for a longer period of time you are not guarantee your spot back in the pool and you might have to line up again”, which is fair and right, “nevertheless if you come out and quickly want to jump back into the pool it is ok to do so, as long as it is shortly after coming out of the pool”. By 3pm my brother come back with 4 (3, 6, 8 and 10 year old) kids and his wife, while he was told and demanded in a very rude, offensive and obnoxious manner with condescending attitude by 2 representative at the entrance requested to leave and denied an entrance, the explanation was giving to him is; “your group has created a lot of problems and the manager Trish Henry has prohibited our Group of entering, you can try tomorrow”. How would you react and what would you do?! I have decided to go back to sort this nonsense! First and formal 4 years boy that jumped in the pool is definitely not a reasonable excuse to not let people who are PAYING to use the facilities and without warning to deny entrance. While trying to explain and make sense of the ridicules accusation their pitiable and outrage excuse to kick our group (he haven’t picked a fight nor something serious that would make sense to refute our re-entry to the pool area), I have requested for the lifeguards that shamelessly lying in my face (she seemed as she had some agenda, she was smiling and had a smirk on her face) claimed that we were told numerously times and we still didn’t obey with the rules, I have confronted her. The fact is that you can’t deny or take off your dislike on poor kids and punish them because of your personal feelings. I am working with people; this is a very wrong service on so many levels. As I have mentioned before it was allowed according to the same manager that allegedly prohibited our re-entry, to punish us as if we have committed a crime and made a mess. Second problem that we have created that apparently was going over the board, moving a chair which by the way happened really unintentionally and in innocent matter (She didn’t realize and forgot that she can’t move furniture). A Mother was trying to feed her 2 boys just took a chair from another table for herself in order to be comfortable and not to stand for over half an hour while feeding her boys. In the mine time there was a table at the front, sitting of 4, how come they weren’t told and picked on. This is how we have been treated and picked on for some god knows reason.
They only provided 1 roll of toilet paper for a 4 day stay for 4 people. Tried to call housekeeping and received no answer. Absolutely disgusting for full service! When I checked out and asked what their policy is the front desk did not know. Poor service and poorly trained staff.
Best experience ever!! Tons of things to do for adults and kids. Would recommend it to everyone.. Very happy family!!!
Summer place with nice cottages and picnic grounds, kid-friendly pools, and a picturesque lagoon. Stayed with friends and their kids over a weekend and never ran out of things to do. Golf carts are available to get around. Capped each day with a short fireworks display by the lagoon at 10:00 pm.
We would live here forever if we could. So much fun with family and friends.
We enjoyed our stay here. We rented a standard cottage - 3 bed, 1 bath and it was clean and plenty of space. The master bed has a queen size bed which wasn't very comfortable but ok for a couple of nights. The living room is large and has a three seat couch with a pull out. It could definitely accommodate a sectional or another chair/loveseat. The deck is large with 1 picnic table. There's no umbrella so no shade. Bring your own. There's a firepit and you can buy wood at the convenience store on the resort. The bbq is charcoal which you can bring or buy. Kitchen is stocked with the basics - plates, cutlery, cooking supplies. You'll need to bring food, napkins, towels, bedding, extra pillows. It would have been helpful to have a guide in the cottage with maps, business hours for the restaurant and store, where to buy wood, emergency numbers, etc. Beach is nice and the water was warm. It's pretty shallow for awhile so great for kids. It's sandy but also rocky. I'd recommend water shoes. There's a pool and lots of other activities but some things are closed due to COVID-19. You can drive to the beach or rent a golf cart. I'd recommend renting a golf cart if you're staying more than a day or two. You can drive the golf cart right onto the beach. We'll visit again.
Great mini resort getaway . One can rent our space for camping, trailers, airbnb cottage trailer homes or just come for the day. There are beaches, obstacle courses and it is perfect for kids.
I was staying with friends so mine was a guest experience and they looked after me really well. There are some great concerts on in the evenings and there seems to be plenty to do. Swimming in lake Erie was awesome (except for the aquabikes - too noisy and aggressive/"show-offy" : not good for the environment or atmosphere
Nice place with lots to do with kids. Some teens in large groups are loud, obnoxious and inconsiderate which dampens the "family friendly" atmosphere.
The daily rates on the golf carts are very expensive. Trailers are not deep cleaned. Registers and under furniture were filthy. All else was good. We still enjoy the experience overall.
Beautiful place and had a great time with my family. Lots to do and has a clean beach.
Awesome beaches, pools, waterslides..what more could you need for a family vacation!
My family and I were so excited to go to Sherkston Shores for the first time. Looking at all the amenities they had. We are experienced campers. We were defiantly not ready for what we had experienced. No respect in this place at all. Police showing up due to fights in the campground. Golf carts everywhere. They would park either on our site to walk their dogs on the beach or park beside our site with the music extremely loud. Security does nothing at all. People walking through our site all the time. Parties on the beach smoking drugs, drinking and driving the golf carts almost hitting people. Nothing done about it. On the Saturday night someone decided to drive their 4 X 4 pick up truck on the beach at 12:30 am and get it stuck. Revving the engine to try and get it unstuck. Quiet time is supposed to be 11:00 pm to 8:00 am but, people still driving the golf carts around at 1:00 with the music extremely loud, walking around yelling at each other waking people up. Again nothing done about it. In all our years camping. This has to be the worst experience we have ever had. We did make the best of it. Our kids has fun mini putting and the water slides but, trying to get into the pool. So many rude people in line. there were 24 people in line a head of us. No problem. The guys behind us we pushing us and people in front of us were letting their friends in. We ended up waiting an hour to get into the pool and going from 24 in line to 56.We will never come back nor will we ever recommend Sherkston to anyone we know. It is a shame especially for the amount of money you spend for a campsite.
I cannot believe that in these unprecedented times where we are all in some way negatively impacted by the global crisis going on around us, Sherkston Shores claims it is "business as usual". No concessions being afford to families who may need to defer fees for a day, a week or maybe even a month while they look for work. No compassion for the families who have patronized their resort for many dedicated years that now face economic uncertainty, temporary job loss, ill family members, closed borders etc. Pay up or get out. What a reputation you are earning yourselves in a time when the rest of the world is trying to come together to support one another.
Was overall a good experience for my family and I to RV at. There was enough to do with the waterpark, skateboarding, tennis and activities going on. Due to the amount of things to do and the size it is a pretty busy place. Unfortunately there seem to be a bunch of teens that like to drive around (golf carts and cars) blasting offensive rap music and singing along. But even still it was a good experience, well run and clean.
Sherkston is so quick to take owner fees and under deliver. Club house is suppose to be open 9am to 9pm. Clearly seen the sign today when I arrived at 3pm They were closed. Checked Back at 4:30’and the were still closed. Not to mention Boston pizza is suppose to be open till 10pm Place is packed and there is nowhere else in the park to eat. I arrived at 8pm With my family and they decided to close early. As a matter of fact, they are closed till Thursday. They claim they are understaffed. Last summer they were closed every Monday and Tuesday, they said they were under staffed.
This was a fun place for me and my kids. The only drama was that we stayed in the rustic cabins and there was zero air flow and it got awfully hot so the kids had a hard time sleeping.
Spent a week in a private rental, 98 Quarry View Village. NOT RECOMMENDED. Trailer is outdated. Filthy carpet, master bed and bedding disgusting, coffee maker moldy, windows smeared with food, BBQ unusable and likely a fire hazard, dishes had to be washed prior to use, owner made us wait an extra hour to check in and refused to return our damage deposit. Doubt Covid 19 protocols were adhered to. There is no protection from the park if something goes wrong. If you're going to rent private ensure you know them or they come highly recommended. The park is great though and we had a wonderful time. There's lots to do. On weekends it's very busy with Elco beach especially being very crowded. Too many teens driving overcrowded golf carts with blaring music at all hours of the night could be improved upon.
Great beaches (not too deep and clear water), lots of activities for kids of all ages and amenities are well maintained. Lots of choices of different types of accommodations to suit your budget. Weekends are super busy in high season. Weekdays less so. Great fun and overall a great place to visit. You will have fun.
Loved this place i went there twice and for sure i will go again and again
This place is top notch. Their sites are absolutely amazing. We had bought tickets for the trampoline. When we went we found out they closed early for the rest of the week. They sent someone the next morning just for my kids.
Had great times . Made new memories. Very very nice place to stay. I'd love to come back.
My wife and I rent here every summer with our two little boys. Fantastic getaway for a "staycation" with the family for a fraction of what you would pay going south somewhere. Beautiful beaches, lots of stuff for the kids to do, and everyone is very friendly. Highly recommend looking into visiting if you're looking for somewhere to go with the family. We love it so much it's in our plans to buy a place there in the near future.
Nice place to unwind and relax. Nice beach, but needs to own or rent a cottage to access.
The resort is basically a microcosm of your everyday life with the exception that you may or may not have to go back to work. Is it get away if you can sometimes be hard to relax because the volume of people at the resort. However the amenities such as the beach in the water slide park being so close to make it a bit more of a pleasurable experience.
One of the worse experience i have ever had in this country at 64 everly woods me my wife and kids were trade as garbage by this home owner Cheryl after she was not able to provide basic service. Like a golf car that supposed to be included in our contract we where force to live the property and she called the police on us
