Exactly as expected from their advertisements. Old-fashioned and low on luxury. It was a nice way to get across to Pei. We returned using the Confederation Bridge. It certainly added to our road trip and I'm sure kids would love it.

What a smooth ride over. You can sit in or outside and see the magnificent views!! Watch for the seals popping up as you journey across. There is a restaurant so you can get food and/or drink. No alcohol though!!!!

We booked ahead of time and I’m glad we did. It’s easy to book online, pull up, get in queue, and board the ferry. Very organized and efficient on and off with a car. We were lucky to have the onboard singers (twin sisters) who were charming and harmonic which made the ride go by in a blink.

Well organized fast loading and quick trip. Lovely views from outside decks. Nice cafeteria with great breakfast and good coffee. Its free going to PEI with no reservation. I paid for a res but got on an earlier sailing free. Cancelled the later res for a full refund. Came back on the bridge.

Arriving at the port of Caribou in Nova Scotia was very convenient. The trip from Wood Islands took about seventy-five minutes. Leaving the ferry was easy as there were no traffic jams at all. The personnel did a great job and made travelling a great experience.

Relatively easy way across to PEI and back. $82 for a standard car load irrespective of number of passengers. $21 for walk on adults. You only pay to leave the island whether by bridge or ferry. Free to enter. Reservations are $82 up front and can be converted to a round trip for free. Wasn't terribly busy both ways but due to COVID aftershock, Not a lot of facilities open on board, only the basic cafeteria. Could bring the dog along but would have to take the pets up into the upper outside decks or leave in the vehicle.

If it makes sense for your travel schedule, the ferry is always a nice alternative. Making a reservation is probably wise, but we managed to board with no issues more than once, even when running late. Cafeteria is reasonably priced. You can have your dog on deck with you if you wish. I try to take the very at least one of the ways when travelling off PEI.

I would suggest reserving a spot as we had to wait two hours for a ferry. The ferries are very crowded so once you get on, get a seat quick and don't get up or you'll be standing for the rest of the trip.

Paid for the ferry to secure a spot. Wish the website have a count of how many spots were left. Many people appeared to get on free without reservations. It was a quick trip to PEI. Recommend using the bridge to enter PEI and this free ferry to leave... That route could have saved us $100 USD!

Is a good way to pass from nova Scotia to prince Edward island, if you pass you don't have to pay. The schedules are convenient. When you return the cost will be CA$80 taking the ferry you have access to beautiful landscapes breakfast ($) tourist information and more. When you arrive is possible to visit the lighthouse.

Was a smooth and easy ferry ride to PEI. All COVID related paperwork and proof of vaccination were handled on the ferry before we landed in PEI which was nice. They do sell hot food, I didn't have any but the French fries looked good. The ferry lands you a short drive to Charlottetown. Much nicer trip then the confederatiob bridge.

The ferry was totally fantastic, but i am not happy with the lady sitting in the front desk who just misguiding people and telling lies that all booking are full. After so much agrument she accepts us to enter. But claims that we will not got the chance to board. We were with a one year old and it was very hectic to take the bridge at that point. But when we got entered we came to know there are a huge space inside and nobody left behind. But she was returning all the cars those who comes with no booking initially. This is the best way to get to the Island. Travel time from Charlottetown to Halifax is about the same between the bridge and the boat. But with the ferry there is a rest from being behind the wheel. And if you reserve the first or last crossing it's a sunrise or sunset cruise. Often there is ocean wildlife as well. Highly recommended.

Great experience! Ours was a little longer than we had planned as we showed up a bit late for the ferry we hoped to be on. But we made the most of it and went for a walk around the area as well as had some lunch while waiting for the ferry to come back to get us. The process of getting on and off was seamless and the time on the ferry was full of things to do, see and hear. Highly recommend this as one of the ways on or off PEI.

Thank god they put the confederation in service...the service on the old boat was awfully slow....biggest issue is at the teller had the whole line backed up...even the cooking staff were frustrated. I also noticed this last week on the new boat...why put the worst people possible on cash?
