We had a wonderful time on our wine tour with The County Wine Tours. Our guide was very professional and knowledgeable about the various vineyards in Prince Edward County and gave us the backstory for each one we visited. We also visited an alpaca farm which was definitely a highlight of the tour. I highly recommend this wine tour to anyone staying in Prince Edward County!

From the first contact inquiring about tours to the tour day and a thousand questions in between, our experience with County Wine Tours was incredible. All inquiries were answered promptly and booking the tour was a cinch. Many thanks to Henry and Sharon who gave us a fantastic tour. They were able to tell us about the area, local hotspots, point out places of interest throughout the tour, and even told us which gear they recommended for the terrain we were travelling on. The bikes were very comfortable to ride and Henry made sure that the seats were in the best possible position for the tour. And they came with fantastic baskets that were large enough to stash a couple bottles of wine, snacks and purse. Even the helmets were pretty cool! The route was beautiful and we didn't have to retrace our steps so it was a great way to see different parts of the County. An added bonus: Henry is a fabulous photographer and took lots of photos for us throughout our afternoon tour. As much as you didn't want the tour to end, it does, and you are left feeling like you have ridden the perfect amount for the day and seen plenty, but still have energy for a nice evening afterward. The wineries were all very interesting and different. Each had it's own cool vibe (although Karlos was my personal favourite!) Watch out for "The Funk" at Closson. It's a very different wine, but you will have a story to tell at the end of the tasting! A Friday afternoon was made even better after an amazing tour with County Wine Tours. Thank you!

We went on the bicycle tour with Henry and had an amazing time! Henry took us to 4 wineries, plus a small backyard brewery for additional yums. We also got to see some alpacas! They'll provide some light snacks and a water bottle. Our snack bag had goldfish and cheesies. One of the wineries served amazing meat and vegan sausages that you can buy though (which we definitely took advantage of). This day was definitely the highlight of our trip :)

Jim hosted our group on a sunny day. The bikes are comfort bikes with gears to make it easy to ride around. There is a bottle of water and a small bag of snacks in the basket. We did bring a sandwich as there isn't a meal provided. A lot of the ride is on the Millennium Trail which is really nice. We made it to 5 wineries, the Lavender farm, the Alpaca farm with a 3 week old alpaca and Stange Brew! It was a really great way to spend a day. The wine was good too!

Just did this tour on the weekend and it was so much fun! The guides were knowledgeable and all around lovely. The groups are small and the bikes are really well looked after and maintained and the route itself was easy for someone who just bikes recreationally. Highly recommend this for your visit to PEC!

I did a weekend trip to PEC to surprise my boyfriend for his birthday and we absolutely loved our experience with County Wine Tours! Henry was a great tour guide and each winery we visited (4 total, plus a lavender farm and an alpaca farm) has something different to offer. Highly recommend.

We were celebrating our anniversary with the amazing guide Joanne. She made the day such an awesome adventure and was very attentive. We really enjoyed chatting with her throughout, her knowledge of the area, and her going out of her way to ensure we were well taken care of. When a server at one winery screwed up our tasting flight, she not only took it seriously, but immediately made sure things were made right by adding a stop on the route (which ended up being one of our fav stops!). She even recommended a fantastic place for dinner, and it ended up being the perfect cherry on top to our day after our tour. We lucked out with great weather, and overall had the best day ever! We’ll definitely be back! Also - the biking was not as grueling as we were anticipating! We are not avid cyclists and made it through the day (and one large hill). It's mostly flat terrain and we could go at our pace. The bikes were super cute and very comfortable.

My friends and I booked the Sip and Cycle Tour with the County Wine Tours. We got to tour the County with Joanne and check out five different wineries. Each vineyard had a charm of its own. We also stopped by a lavender farm and an alpaca farm which was a nice surprise. It was definitely the best wine tour I've been on and I highly recommend it if you're ever visiting the County.

We spent a lovely Friday in PEC with Henry as our guide. We were 6 girls there for a friend’s bachelorette. We opted for the sip and cycle tour that was from 1130-1730. Henry was so nice and friendly. He provided very knowledgeable facts about PEC and its history. The bike ride itself was very nice and scenic. The bikes provided were comfortable and easy to use (all of our bums were pretty sore near the end though). They provide you with little brown snack bags that consist of a granola bar, goldfish, ritz cheese crackers, and a water bottle. It’s a good active 18km. The ride was a nice break to have between wineries too! We had the chance to visit 4 great and wineries, along with a special stop at strange brew (highly recommend!!) and a quick stop to see the alpaca farm :) ???? We had to wear our masks while going into the wineries for the bathroom and/or walking through etc. All of our tastings took place outside. The whole tour was well organized and took the necessary precautions for COVID. Our time was wonderful and we can’t rave enough how amazing Henry was. Thank you for a great experience!

Had a great day on the sip and cycle tour. Got to visit 4 wineries + an extra one because of an event at the lavender fields. The bikes are easy to use and comfortable! Highly recommend this way of doing wine tastings.

Our tour guide was phenomenal. He was very friendly, enthusiastic and had so many insights in the wine industry that he would share with us as 'fun facts' throughout the bike ride to the vineyards. The bikes were great, comfortable, in good condition and fast. They had a basket which was very useful to keep your purse and purchased wines. Also, our guide gave us water and some snacks for the way. We had the chance to visit 5 vineyards and the lavender field. The amount of places you visit is based on how fast your group can move along. We had 6 (3 couples) and we all got along very well which made the whole day, such a blast. The only recommendation I would give in order to improve the overall experience of this tour is providing lunch. By the middle of the tour, we were all very hungry from all the biking and drinking. Whether it is provided by the tour guide or its a stop to have a quick bite, I think it would really help with keeping our energy up.

The tour group did an excellent job of modifying to meet Covid requirements without feeling like you were missing out on any of the fun. Would highly recommend The County Wine Tours if you are planning a trip to Prince Edward County anytime soon. Henry and Wayne guided 7 of us through the picturesque Prince Edward County wine country on our Girl’s Weekend Away this past Saturday. We rode to 4 lovely wineries, a small craft brewery and an Alpaca farm! The bike ride was easier than I anticipated, even for someone like me who has not been on a bike for many, many years. The bikes are easy to use and are very comfortable! A special thank you to you Wayne for hanging with me at the back of the pack while I got my biking abilities going again. Henry provided wonderful historical points of interests along the way and each stop we made we had lots of time for sampling and lots of giggles. Thank you again Henry and Wayne for a super fun day!

The County Wine Tours made my bachelorette weekend a very memorable and unique experience! Sheba, our tour guide, made sure that myself and nine of my closest friends were well taken care of during our visit to four beautiful wineries. Each winery was carefully selected by The County Wine Tours, providing us with the best selection of Prince Edward County wines and picturesque scenery. We even got to experience authentic pizza made from imported Italian ingredients at one of local wineries, TerraCello, which was a nice surprise! All in all, my friends and I truly enjoyed the wine tour and would highly recommend.

We did the bike tour with Jim and it was super fun! We got the opportunity to visit 5 wineries and 1 nano-brewery. The experience was great as we got to bike ride throughout PEC and visit places we otherwise might have overlooked. The only winery we didn't love was the big commercial one (the name escapes me, but it's big and purple... so maybe ask to skip that one). The ride is long and not as leisurely as you'd expect, but it was still a great time! There's not too many places where you can eat something so I'd recommend bringing a sandwich along. Also, don't forget the bug spray! For us, we weren't crazy about the alpaca farm or lavender farm, but if you're into doing things for the gram you'll likely enjoy it.

Jim guided 4 of us on a tour through Prince Edward County wine country. This was an entertaining day's worth of fun. The bike ride is easy and provides great views of the country side. I wouldn't hesitate to book and experience this trip again or recommend this to all our family and friends.

My husband & I recently had 24 glorious hours away from our kids (who are lovely & sweet but both under 4…so…needless to say we needed the break). We headed to PEC so we could try the County Wine Tours; we had to see what all the fuss was about. It turns out, the buzz we’d been hearing for months & all the reviews were right. We could not have had a more wonderful time. Henry & Sharon were A+++ tour guides. From the moment we met we had instant affection for them. They were kind, funny, full of PEC knowledge & just made an already lovely day that much more lovely. Every detail was thought of – down to the little snack in our baskets. The wineries were stunning, each more so than the last, & we enjoyed every single wine we tasted (especially the wine pairings at Karlo Winery). Cruising through the county on the uber-cool bicycles…wind in our hair…I can almost feel the sunshine on my face. Can’t wait to go back in the spring, & am starting to sound like I work for the company, as I’m telling anyone & everyone I know they should join us on the next one. It was an experience we won’t soon forget. Thank you for the memories!

The Sip and Ride tour was fantastic. We ended up doing four wineries in total. Two were smaller and two were larger. Jim did a fantastic job of walking us through the region and the different grapes and growing techniques. We also stopped at a lavender farm and alpaca farm. I would recommend this to anyone looking to explore the wineries by bike.
