Had a lovely experience renting bikes from here for the weekend. They offered drop-off and pick-up for the bikes and adjusted them on the spot for each person's measurements. I thought it was a great service that they offer. The bikes were in fantastic shape and were a treat to ride. Will definitely be renting from them the next time I'm in the area.

I stopped at this shop after a ride in the county because my chain was skipping and I couldn't have asked for better honest service. The owners aren't your cookie cutter "serve the public" kind of people but who needs that! Boring. My chain and rear gears needed replacing and the owner did a great job but he also repaired my old freezer basket that my dog rides in and I know he wasn't going to charge me but I wouldn't have it and asked him to give me a price. 10$! I will definitely go back for repairs to my bike and for gear.

I've used this bike rental company twice in the past 3 years and have had a good experience both times. We had bikes delivered to our B&Bs in Wellington and to Lake on the Mountain, both times the service was courteous and efficient. Pricing is fair, especially since full day rental includes delivery and pickup. Both times I dealt with the owner and she was professional (with pretty dry sense of humor, but not overly so). My experience has been very positive and I will happily use them again in future. I've been to snooty bike places in my own city and this ain't one of them...

They're the only game in town (or the next town), so if you need bike stuff, this is it. But what the owners probably think is charming and witty chatter with the customers is actually rude, dismissive, and unhelpful. I get it, you're busy. Also, if you don't want customers, don't open a shop.

I had a bad spill on my bike (not one of theirs) and they were kind enough to have a look at it, tighten the loose pedal and straighten the derailleur. They even gave me a bandage and dressing for my skidded elbow, and asked only for a contribution to the tip jar in return. Bloomfield Cycling is not just a shop; they truly care about cyclists!

It's hard to imagine a better bike shop than this one. If you don't leave this place absolutely stoked to ride your bike, there may be something wrong with you. Extremely knowledgable, honest, enthusiastic staff who literally want you to enjoy riding a bike more than they want to sell you things. Great selection of reasonably priced gear. Don't listen to the haters, their reviews say a lot more about them than the store. The original county bike shop is definitely worth a visit - also highly recommend joining in on one of the club rides if you can!

Realized on the way to PEC from home that I had forgotten my biking shoes. When I phoned from the car I was reassured that they had some shoes that I could rent. Not only did they give me shoes to wear for three days, but also changed my pedals for me. When I returned them they didn't want any money for them. Thanks for making my cycling trip with girlfriends even more amazing...you made my trip happen!

Horrible customer service. Was taking a picture of a first aid product to send to my mother not sure if it was the correct one she wanted, and a lady with high rainbow socks asked me to leave. Even after I calmly explained why I was taking a picture. She then wandered off after I said nothing, continuing to talk about devices and impeding store 'traffic' (it was empty). Literally stopped me from buying the silly product. Do not recommend.

A dealer of bicycles and hostile attitudes towards their customers. If you're into unsolicited advice from an arrogant high horse, this is your place. Enjoy being asked to leave if you have the audacity to take out your phone in the store. Owner is extremely rude and aggressive with this misguided policy that is posted on a three inch sign drawn with a crayon posted on the door where you have no chance of seeing it. Oh and by the way, the way you do things vis a vis bicycles is wrong and they'll let you know.

Seemingly great little bike shop with lots of options for day rentals. Bikes were well maintained and the gentleman fitting the bikes was pleasant. However, unsure if the lady owner was trying to be funny/sarcastic, but she came across as somewhat rude/abrasive. I think she needs a long vacation or to no longer have a business that serves "silly tourists" wanting to rent a bike for the day...

Although I'm not a shopper per say, I can hang out at a bike shop anywhere. Commiserate with the guys n gals, pick up things I need and don't need and feel good hanging with my kind. This is the first bike shop in my worldly travels where I was so put off by the rude, weird, odd behaviour of the employees that I couldn't stand one.more.minute. The staff were far more interested in offensively spewing their 'knowledge' than actually asking us what our needs were. Even when we tried to interject. Strange. Creepy. Weird, and offensive. And I'm a mountain biker and our kind are hard to offend. Hard to put in words. Not saying this would be everyone's experience, but it's definitely not a place I'll head back to. Ever.

Amazing! I was in a bind, working on my wife's Schwinn Meridian Trike. I was looking for tips on how to do a certain thing and parts as well.. They were VERY informative, VERY patient and VERY kind. I struggled with a certain part, I took it to them for suggestions. They fixed the part for me and only charged $5 on top of new part I needed! Then after I paid and about to leave, they offered more suggestions for maintaining the bike and safety. If it was possible, I would give them 6/5 stars for going above and beyond. My partner and I had an amazing experience here today. We went to rent a tandem bicycle for our first time (to tour around the wineries) and the gentleman helping us was so knowledgable, friendly, and didn't make us feel like newbies at all. The process of renting the bike was smooth, quick and easy. We rented it from about 12-6 and the price was so reasonable. We had such a fun time riding and knowing that we had free roadside assistance helped ease our minds. It was also great to learn that for a small fee they would come and pick up our bike if we felt as though we drank too much on our wine tours to drive back or didn't want to ride back. They also provide you with a water bottle that you get to keep. Returning the bikes was just as quick and easy as renting them was and the lady that helped us at this point was also lovely. She was so genuinely happy to hear that we had a great ride and shared in our enthusiasm. I would HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone looking to rent bikes. Even the other employees that I didn't directly interact with were so friendly; just by saying hi or smiling and acknowledging us. PS check out their washroom - it is so cool!!

Very interesting local bike shop. They are the hub for all things cycling in the area. Maps, parts, information. They have it all. Honestly, they are your only choice in the area. Staff can offer you a brochure on bike trails in the area and advice on where to go. Some staff are very nice, while others can feel a bit sarcastic and disingenuous. Depends who you deal with. They can fix your bike in a reasonable time. They also rent bikes. They have a lot of new and used items. However, they wont sell you used parts. I asked. So if you have a broken pedal, they will suggest to buy new or sale items. It's their bread and butter, but I would have liked to have the reuse option. Nevertheless, they have decent sales. I enjoyed the ambiance. If I'm in the area again, I'll for sure go and visit.

I usually don’t write reviews but this experience I had to share...went to this bike shop to ask if they have any bikes available for rental and the lady was probably the rudest shop owner I’ve ever encountered in Canada! First she stared at me while I was standing outside and didn’t even bother asking me what I needed while I was trying to make eye contact and get her attention. Then I ask: I had a question. She tells me: what? Then I say: I was wondering what your opening hours are. She goes: what’s your guess? And As I’m very confused I ask: excuse me? Then she says: obviously we’re closed now! So I turn and leave and definitely not coming back. Will happily take my business elsewhere.

The lady who runs this place is a total Karen. Wouldn’t talk to me until our car (which was at least 4 spots away from her shop) was turned off. I told her my husband was in the car with my kid who is napping and it’s a hot day. Her response is that she’ll talk to me once the car is off and my kid can come out. Who the hell is going to wake up their napping kid? P.s I’m not a tourist, I live in the county and I am definitely not recommending your business.

Been a cyclist for more than 40 years now, road racing, touring, MTB, do all my own mechanics, wheel-building and such, so very experience. Stopped in half way through a 1500KM bike tour to check the place out, and see about truing up a slight wobble in the rear wheel that was causing brake shudder; looked like my kind of bike shop, laid back and unpretentious. Well the person looking at my wheel got all defensive and hostile when I requested the wheel be absolutely straight, gave me serious attitude, was not questioning her competence just wanted a straight wheel. Strange and weird, rode right on by during the return leg.

We were on a bike tour from Toronto to Montreal and my bike chain broke. Luckily we made it to this place the next day and their mechanic was a true chain whisperer! I was able to keep the same chain and it actually rides better than new. The owner was a bit funny & eccentric too. She gave us valuable suggestions to a campsite that gives cyclist discounts.

My partner and I rented our bikes from this place last week. This place kills it. It's one of those places where you just know the owners and employees really care. They got us set up with a bike, making sure everything was perfect from type of bike, seat height, racks, bags, helmets, etc. before having us ride off. They also were super helpful giving us suggestions where to go and how to get there. This is the place to rent your bike in PEC.

Owners of This store are rude and I think they might even have some mental issues. They have created their own “no idle” zone around their business and will come insult the “outsiders” as she calls them if you dare to just pull over close to their business without turning off your car in one second. The owner came and chased us. I am not sure she understands that her business benefits greatly of tourists and renters. Terrible place. Go to Picton or Wellington to rent bikes

Shocked by the saleswoman's repeated offensive language when discussing seats with another woman and stunned by the salesman's comment that the customer should not pick which seat she should buy. My buddy and I met the (then?) owner when we were teenagers on a bike tour some 22 years ago at a nearby grocery store. She invited us to come by and the staff there showed us some great hospitality and we went mountain biking with them the next day. GREAT people. One of life's random and better memories. Bloomfrield Bicycles themselves are pretty OK, only rusty in parts, but for the most part run fine. If you are looking for respectful sales and a positive experience, I recommend taking your business elsewhere. Left their store offended and hurt by their behaviour.

My friends and I brought our bikes from Toronto on a rack for our weekend in PEC and they sustained some damage on the drive. We biked over from Picton and stopped in Bloomfield to get them checked out and received a lot of help from these guys. Between us we got 2 wheels fixed, 2 new seats, a water bottle holder and bike shorts. Service was efficient. I received help from 4 different people in the store who were all very friendly and helpful. They can be blunt though so don't expect to be pampered. I personally found it hilarious. We also got some advice about routes to take--we were about to embark on a long ride to Wellington after that. Don't know what we would have done without their help!

We were unfortunate enough to visit this shop back in July following a morning road ride through the County. We pulled up in three cars and all got out and waited while our friend purchased his tubes and patch kit. First, the woman was incredibly condescending to my friend, a life-long and well-respected cyclist, as pertains to some clarification regarding which tubes she was selling him. Next, the same woman very rudely informed us there were too many of us (standing outside the shop, at a safe distance) and asked that we move “just move away” were her exact words. To clarify, it was during the heat wave so incredibly hot to be sitting in a car. When we returned to our cars we were forced to turn them on for the a/c (due to heat wave) and we expected to wait a minute or two for our friend to complete his purchase. Same woman then walked over and told us that we couldn’t be there, and that we had to leave. I told her she knew we had all arrived together and that we had to leave together since we were travelling as a convoy to Sandbanks. She rolled her eyes and said that wasn’t her problem. Then, barely 30 seconds after she’d told us off, while our friend was getting back into his car and preparing to leave, a man from the shop came at us very aggressively and through my daughter’s passenger window started telling us to “just leave. Go away, NOW.” I’ve never experienced anything like this. These people are rude, condescending and I wouldn’t give them my custom again.

We arrived to fix a tube and ended up with a new seat, new tire and tightened spokes. Owners were extremely helpful in wanting to make our ride the best possible. And it was also very cheap, considering the parts and level of service. A colourful shop with equally colourful owners.

Great service. Very friendly and helpful staff! The staff really took the time to help my mom get comfortable with the Terra Tricycle. She was able to ride a bike for the first time within minutes! Prices for rentals include a take home water bottle and were very reasonable. Great experience overall and I would highly recommend them.

Do not be fooled by the outward appearance of this shop. when you go inside you immediately see that they have very good stuff. We were on an autonomous biking camping trip an I had a little mechanical problem, they made the repair for free, saying that it is by solidarity for biking travelers like them.

We primarily went there to buy a canister or two of co2 since I had a flat on the way to PEC from Toronto, but as per the staff they don't carry co2 'for a good reason' in that is dissipates from the tire. Which is true. In a pinch though, its much better than a hand pump to get road bike tires up to a decent pressure... differences of opinions I guess. They provided me with a pump to replace the co2 in my tire (which was still at nearly full pressure after 100km). They also gave us some route guidance which was great. She told me if I got a flat again then I could take a cab back to the shop... Since we were riding back to Toronto, it's pretty safe to say that was not an option.

My wife and I rented a tandem from these folks for the first time. Their help in getting organized and anticipating the challenges of riding together were first - rate, with helpful, pleasant staff, and good equipment. Definitely an 'alternate' retail experience, but entirely satisfactory and strong appeal. Don't miss it!
