We rented a kayak for half a day and it was a great experience. The staff were friendly and accomodating, and the route was very scenic and beginner-friendly. The only issue we encountered was that we got lost (a map included with the boat rental would be nice) as the path had a few unmarked dead ends.

Rented a canoe for the weekend. Rental was steep, but options limited (covid-19). These guys were great! That put the canoe in my car while I paid. Then showed my how to tie it up so I could bring it back. Friendly, family oriented business. I unfortunately cant speak for the other amenities.

We've been here a few years in a row. Plenty of kayaks and canoes. reserving and signing in is easy and fast. Good quality and the launch for the kayaks make launching and return super easy. A few downsides: they didn't provide bailer, rope, and flashlight with every boat. I'm pretty sure it's law to have it in your canoe/kayak. When asked, the staff member (granted it was only one) said it was fine and didn't offer to fetch the right equipment or correct it. Additionally, on busy days they run low on medium & large lifejackets so you might be stuck squeezing into a small or extra large. Not too big of a problem as the jackets are very adjustable. Also jackets are good paddling lifejackets so not too bad.

Great place to rent Kyacks at a reasonable price. The Tay River is perfect for kyacks as it isn't a swift river and there isn't a lot of motorized boats.

Came here a couple of days ago, it's a nice place to spend a couple of hours. They are really making sure the equipment being used is being sanitized regularly. We did the mini putt and the pedal kart. They were both really fun and would definitely come back to do it again. One of the only things that I disliked was their staff are not very attentive and giving instruction was unclear. They seem to like to sit in their office and not really provide direction as to what happens after you're done one activity. I would prefer if one of their staff came out and told us about the pedal karts instead of us guessing if we could use it or not.

Amazing and beautiful place. Staff was incredibly friendly. Paddle boarded on the beautiful lake, went go karting, and mini golfing. Prices were very fair for the activities and service that was offered. This is a must visit if you drive by Perth.

Was part of the wedding, we all had a great day. all the activities were well maintained and clean. the mini put was one of the best I've seen in a long time if not ever. The owners are vary friendly and they have a cute dog named tugboat. The location is vary picturesque. I will be coming back next spring or summer.

Wonderful family kayak experience! Perth Major Outfitters provided everything with the price - PFDs (XS-XXL), paddles, kayaks. Customer service was excellent. We chose the 3 hour paddle and toured up into the town of Perth near the rapids on Mill street and then back again. Scenic and easy to navigate. Tandem options are quite fun! I kayaked for the first time at age 50 and will definitely do it again!

I was here for a wedding and reception. The place was amazing. Perth Outfitters has a great mini-putt course, many boats, and a beautiful venue. They were also very accommodating and lovely for the wedding.

Nice experience floating in a great location for sure but a low rating due to customer service being at an all time low. Seemed like no one really cared, very little direction and/or assistance given...just a very different vibe from any outdoor rental-type place I’ve used in the past.

A wonderful attraction to the small town! Always busy there and many options! Mini golf, skating, kayaking, canoeing and so on... wonderful staff members but the only complaint is the prices add up! Enjoy!

Lots of fun. Great for the family. We mini putted which you can tell that they put a lot of effort into the design of the course. The blue carpet is certainly unique. There was a bit of construction however I believe that they are extending the course to a full 18 holes.

Very friendly staff. Equipment for kayaking was good (my kayak was faded looking, not pretty for pictures, but oh well!). Good price for 3 hours of fun on the water! The Tay River is beautiful to go down, we went towards the wildlife reserve. Beautiful!! Parking at the location, there are portapotties on site, good covid precautions. Super cool dock to get in/out of watercrafts (it's plastic and you shimmy down the launch into the water once you're sitting). Would definitely recommend!

My girlfriend and I had an amazing time! The staff were super friendly and helpful, the price was super reasonable, and the river was beautiful. We paddled up in to Perth and saw the small waterfall from the water and it was fantastic. We had so much fun just going down the river and talking with the friendly locals- and when I fell off my SUP it was great we just couldn't stop laughing it was so much fun! If you are in the area check this place out, it's amazing. 10/10 would recommend and we will be back ????

What a fantastic experience! We spent the afternoon here today and were completely blown away by the customer service. The owner, Glen, and his son Jay are super kind and personable, the equipment is great, and the river is absolutely gorgeous. But my biggest shout-out is for Angus, a superhero who went above and beyond to help me with a broken fin on my own equipment and a lost phone. Thanks to Perth Outfitters! We will spread the word, and we'll back!

We were actually invited for a free day and were allowed to use all their amenities for no charge. I would recommend the kayak trip to anyone interested in going for the day. Wonderful way to spend half a day ! We were extremely pleased how they sanitize, wipe down and ensure all items are properly disinfected before and after use. With public worries, this was by far the best place we have witnessed in terms of sanitizing to prevent any mishaps! We rented a canoe for 3 hours. Had it not been so warm, we would have loved the mini putt and continue further on the Tay. The woman running the outfitters is a gem. Very informative on history, where to go etc. Bring a picnic and enjoy! We cannot wait to return, on a cooler day!

Rented tandem kayaks. Everything was good. Getting in and out of the kayaks was super easy. They have these special launches that makes is stable. They have a lot of covid measures too like cleaning all paddles and boats after. For life vests they have two self wash buckets that you dip the best into and then hang up to dry. We also tried their mini golf. Kids enjoyed it. The course is not the fanciest but it's got enough interesting things like jumps, going onto a pontoon boat, etc. You can also rent push scooters or trikes to take on a forest path. They have 1 porta potty. It was one of the cleanest I have seen. No smell. However it is a bit hidden. Overall fun afternoon with the kids.

Excellent service and kayak rental....just a tip though-don’t paddle downstream if you don’t have to.Canal passes feet from sewage lagoon. SUPER STINKY! Paddle upstream , do 2 easy portages and it’s a different story.

Beautiful spot on the Tay river in Perth to rent kayaks/canoes/SUP's etc. Mini golf course too. We rented a tandem kayak and went down the river for 4 hours; ideal place to stop for lunch and panoramic views from the lookout at the Perth Wildlife reserve.

I’m from Perth. I’m a local business owner. I own Above the Rest Roofing and Perth Athletic Centre. My home is located right around the corner from Perth Outfitters. I decided I would walk over there last minute with my 2 children ages 9 and 10. I was greeted personally by the new owner himself, him and his staff were very accommodating. They got us 2 paddle boards despite being very busy and my not having an reservations. The owner introduced me to his son who helps him run the business. He was very kind and helped fit my children with life jackets. Made afew fun jokes, we had some laughs and we were off for a great time. The entire way down the river I saw noting but people with happy smiles. Being local it’s easy to spot people from out of our community and there seemed to be so many visitors to our town having an amazing time and extremely pleased with their visit to the business. It’s great not only for the locals but for all the tourist that visit our beautiful town and I can see it a huge part in a positive experience visiting Perth. This is a business that will for sure keep people coming back. I nightly recommend it. New owners have made a huge difference and I can’t wait to see it prosper. Big thanks to them and their staff.

We had a wonderful time. It was our second time kayaking. The staff were very knowledgeable and helpful. The launches were helpful and fun to use. The Tay river was beautiful to paddle through. We got some unexpected rain but it added to our adventure. We will definitely be back.

Great ppl, great rates and superb location with a variety of wild "small town" animals/reptiles living on the property in their natural habitat. Every visit is a new adventure! Dont even have to go out on the many water float options they have for excitement, we spent almost an hour trying to catch the toad in the mini put pond! Excitedly awaiting your reopening when covid allows! I'd give 10 stars if able

Mind blowingly awesome. Great location, great staff, great gear! Went there with family and felt instantly welcomed and taken care of. Not a single thing was out of place. Off chance if something does feel out of place for your visit, please talk to Jason (he runs the place) and he’ll make sure your concerns are addressed. Also, looks like the place is just getting started with some preliminary plans for winter activities as well. We’ll be sure to return whether in summer or winter.
