Don't expect whales jumping out the water let alone seeing a fin

This year's not only more complex because of COVID-19, but also because the Percé peer is under construction and therefore the boats leave from a nearby town (just 10 min drive) It's confusing to me what the difference is between the various cruise companies; it didn't seem to matter who you bought your tickets from; everyone ended up on the same boat. If you're very worried about COVID-19, you might not like this set up. The boat we were in was fully packed. The staff makes sure everyone sanitized their hands while boarding and asks that everyone keep their mask on. I saw someone take theirs off during the trip and the staff didn't say anything, but I think the adult customer is more at fault there than the staff who should have to babysit adults. The fact that the boat couldn't leave from Percé means a longer boat ride. The waves were definitely unforgiving for anyone who tends to get sea sick when we went. If you think you might be seas sick, bring bags or ask the staff for one before the boat leaves the dock. They handed out bags after they started noticing people getting sick in their own bags. We did the tour of the Bonaventure Island. I think the other cruises are not currently running but will return once the Percé dock is re-opened, but please confirm with the ticket office. Expect that you may need to pay another $5 for parking. Make sure you have cash for this. The cruise around the island was nice. Don't expect commentary from the staff as you go around. If you don't plan on getting off on the island to hike, then enjoy the view of the northern gannet colony. It's quite a site. If you want to get off on the island (and weather permits), keep in mind this is a provincial park and as such you need to purchase a daily pass to gain access on the sepaq. I recommend doing this in advance on the sepaq website. You'll be happy to avoid having to line up once you arrive on the island. The northern gannet colony is even more impressive from the island (the smell, not so much though).

(Translated) With my girlfriend, we took the pier boatman to go to Bonaventure Island. We were not very happy with the service: - No indication on the site that the boats are not leaving a breakthrough this year ... - when we arrived at the parking lot, a rather unfriendly person asked us "did you not see the sign ??" Because you have to pay when entering the parking lot but the only indication provided is that the parking costs $ 10 ... Nothing specifies that you have to pay before parking !! - the price remains the same although the cruises around the island have been canceled and it is not indicated on the site either! The 2 stars are valid for the team on board the boat which is at the top!

(Translated) Update 2021: Much better than last year. This time, we start from Percé directly and he had explanations. I also felt the staff were more courteous. Also, I add that although distancing is impossible, we hurt visibly less cord than last year. So, I adjust my assessment! And the tour of the rock and the island is good! ______ 2020: Forget about social distancing. Boats and shuttles are at full capacity. You are strung! I would also add that I didn’t really appreciate the way we were made to wait in the sun for several minutes. I wish the crew were more dynamic. Worthwhile trip if you like nature and the sea. The boat takes you up close to the Percé Rock and the Bonaventure island. The guide explains in English and French. Went there in July and weather was wonderful. You can get off on the island and wait for the next boat.

Nice visit of the Percé Rock and the Bonaventure island. Visits in October are very limited. Only 2-3 per day. They were not reachable by phone the previous day so we went there early in the morning to reserve. In the end we still spent a fabulous day. ????⛴

This review is for the whale watching cruise not for the island trip. In a word, the experience was terrible, we saw very little and half of the passengers got sea sick. The crew could not care less about anything, they were not available for questions or concerns. Worse $80 spent ever. Not worth it. Also there are two companies that sell tickets for these trips, but in gact there is one operator so I will post this review to the other company as well

It’s a shame that there’s an dishonest collector boy of the parking at such beautiful place. And we found we are not the only one who encountered same thing. The boy told us that we had to pay 5 dollars for parking even if we would buy boat tickets after breakfast, but we can get it back when we buy boat tickets. After, we got nothing back even if I showed the parking ticket to the sales lady and the boy. They just told us that “you can keep it”. I never encountered such thing in Canada before.

Maxence Deschamps

Asked for a tour of the percé rock and bonne aventure Island and got sold a 40$ ferry to the island. You also have to pay for parking near the dock where the boats are. Very disappointing. Website still lists the tour for 40$..

Jane Litchfield

So glad we did this. The views of the rock and the island are fabulous and we saw seals from the boat. Highly recommend getting off the boat and hiking across Bonaventure Island. You get right up close to the gannet colonies and see so many more than from the boat (i.e. tens of thousands). We also had much better views of seals from the island, including a couple that were lying on the beach. We took the shortest trail across (Les Colonies) and the longest one back (Chemin du Roy) which had lots of historic sites and is where we had the best seal sightings. Easy hikes. The tourism office told us all the boat tours are the same and the same price. People with tickets for both tour companies were getting on the same boat. Line up early if you want good seats. Only downside: the sound system on the boat was not great and we often couldn't understand/hear the English info. Don't miss this in Perce.

Veronique Verreault

Lack of organization, behind schedule. Super friendly staff, but wouldn’t recommend to do this activity unless you have a whole day to spend.

(Translated) Very beautiful landscape and animator ok ... the problem is the paid parking at $ 10. The lady is so disgusted by the visitors it's not cool at all, I changed my car 3 times. You went to pay for your boat tickets and she comes to complain that you are not in the right place ... there is room everywhere but it has to be changed. In addition, you have to listen to them complain about tourism their impatience is palpable, even for the boat tickets ... it's hut to say that she looks at you and tells you where to go, $ 90 for 2 and no way to get a clear and sympathetic explanation .. the girl in the parking lot should be avoided if possible, the most unpleasant of my stay in gaspe et pierces (Original) Très beau paysage et animateur ok... le problème c'est le stationnement payant à 10$.

Great excursion although i found having to pay for the car park on top of the ticket was a bit too much. But then everything in Percé is like that.

i bought ticket 35$ to go from percé to ìle bonaventure and to go hiking there , but when i got there they told me i bought only a ride ticket on boat.. i had to pay 20$ more for hiking i was devastated

Definitely a worthwhile trip for the whole family. The basic tour is done in French and English and lasts about 1.5 hours. We saw both sides of the Richer Percé ans went around Bonaventure island. Since we took the last tour (4 p.m.) we didn't get to go for the extra island walking tour. The kids were too tired anyways. The bird sanctuary was impressive and we got to see grey seals, minsk whales and humpback whales. What a treat! Highly recommended but bring your sea legs as it can get a bit rough.

(Translated) Awful customer service !!! We made inquiries to go for a walk on Bonaventure Island. The same day, we will take our tickets for the boat, departure 1:30 p.m., it was around noon. $ 42, no choice to take the cruise, no direct .. they have a monopoly on the market and it's up to the customer to bow. The person at the ticket office told us to show up at the platform 5 minutes before. We arrive on the platform around 1:15 p.m., a lot of people. The boat arrives, people rush up to sit down. And a few meters in front of us, the controller closes the gate and tells us that the boat is full. We come forward and ask that it is the solution. He replied that there was none, it was the last departure and we had to come back the next day at 9am. Only it was our only day there and we had paid our entrance fees to the Sepaq online, as requested by the person at the ticket office. We ask him to find a solution because we had bought all of our tickets, and probably earlier than some of the people who got on. He tells us that there is nothing he can do, that he has warned the ticket offices that too many tickets have been sold, to stop the. He didn't want to hear anything and left us there. We go up to the ticket office, he had phoned 10 minutes before departure to say stop selling. The girl was sorry and tried to find a solution. We were reimbursed for the boat, parking and Sepaq and we still have a very bitter taste of this experience.

(Translated) You had the idea of going on a cruise excursion to see the whales, the pierced rock and to go around Bonaventure Island? I strongly advise against it, unless you want to spend $ 100 for a return trip to the island which has only 3 trails open with overloaded boats. I'm ashamed to have spent $ 100 for a scam (no rock, no whale, and even less island tour) !!! (Original) Vous aviez idée d'aller faire une excursion en croisière pour voir les baleines, le rocher percé et faire le tour de l'île bonaventure? (Translated) $ 38 / person for the 1h30 cruise around the Percé Rock to go to Bonaventure Island .. $ 10 parking (a great pity considering the price of the cruise to charge the parking) and $ 8.75 to pay once on the island to go for a hike. (Translated) Despite a small technical glitch (one of their boats broke down, which delayed our departure by an hour), it was very good. The boat makes a detour via the Percé rock, then goes all over Bonaventure Island before landing on the island for the hikes. Other routes are possible. (Translated) Bad organization and especially not the place that respects the rules for the covid. I suggest you avoid it if you don't want to put yourself at risk. In fact, they fill the bus with tourists who don’t put on their masks. There is not two meters distance. It was terrible. Not to mention that their instructions are never clear. If you ever want to do business with this company anyway, I suggest you arrive 20 minutes before the time they say because their bus schedules are unpredictable. Also, I think it's better to just take the car and pay the $ 5 directly at the port of Anse-de-Beaufils to avoid an unpleasant experience. Very poor organization ... also not at all covid proof. They put you on a bus filled with people, no respect for social distancing rules. Also, they don’t require people to wear their mask inside the bus. I’m horrified! Not to mention that their instructions were never clear, they told us that the bus was leaving at 1:00 p.m when in reality it leaves 20 minutes earlier. Then they made us wait for the next one because “we missed our bus.” If uds desean hacer esta actividad, it is preferable to go directly to the street of the cove where the street of bon fils is there from ahí buscar a barco that los anchors to the parque of Sepaq.
