Myself, my boyfriend and two friends were lucky to have the manager (whoms name I have forgotten! Sorry) as our guide for "Le Rocher" Kayaking excursion. He was very funny and made the experience enjoyable for us. What we got out of the activity was well worth what we paid. He gave us in-dept instructions on how to put on our gear and how to use the kayaks. He also brought us to see the seals (which was not part of our excursion package). I would definitely recommend seeing the seals as a kayak excursion option. Seeing the seals was by far much more exciting than seeing the rock (which was still beautiful).

For my friends and I, ocean kayaking was a completely new experience. However, right from the start, the staffs and both the guides were extremely enthusiastic, knowledgeable and helpful. Their enthusiasm made the preparation part enjoyable and made us feel at ease. After wearing our wetsuits and accessories (provided by the service), we were given detailed instructions on the functionings of the kayak. We had 2 kayaks in between four of us friends. However, once on the water, one of my friends started having panic attack and we had to cut short our kayak trip. It is often said that, a person's true mettle is seen when things go south. It's highly commendable how professionally, adeptly and promptly the situation was handled by our guides. Though we were unable to continue our trip and had to end it midway, we stayed a bit on the water while on our way back to the shore. We were given a discount owing to our circumstance. In short, if you are looking for a kayak service in Perce, look no further. This place is well equipped, reasonably priced and with great staff. Would definitely love to come back in the future!

Was not expecting our guide to speak english but she did and it was an unexpected pleasant surprise. The service was fantastic, the equipment provided was more than suitable for those that do not have any, our guide was very knowledgeable of her profession and we just had an overall fantastic time. Book in advance during the busy seasons to secure your spot. Will certainly use this service again for all my sea kayaking needs. The only suggestion I would have is it would be nice to have more information on where each excursion will take us or will not take us. It should be understood that weather plays a huge part in where you can go for safety reasons. Merci pour la bonne journée et nous espèrons revenir !

A point that I really liked about our guide: she had a great openness and patience with novices and people who hardly spoke French. (Original) Pour une activité en famille, novice au kayak, nous avons réservé l'excursion "Le Rocher" (2h30, kayak double) avec Avolo. Nous avons beaucoup aimé l'expérience. Notre guide Livia était passionnée, expérimentée dans ses indications et nous enrichissait d'histoire du Rocher et de la Gaspésie. Pour de beaux moments en famille ou entre amis, je vous conseille Avolo et vous aurez aussi l'occasion de faire le tour du fameux Rocher avec cette excursion. Une très belle vue tout près. Un point que j'ai beaucoup aimé de notre guide: elle avait une grande ouverture et patience avec les novices et les gens qui parlaient difficilement le français.

(Original) Sortie kayak : Très déçu par cette expérience ! manque de communication au moment de la réservation (moitié de la prestation chargée alors qu’on nous a dit qu’on prenait seulement l’empreinte de CB), bon équipement mais encadrement limité : la guide est restée avec les embarcations du devant, n’a pas répété les infos ni aidé un couple qui était un peu plus en difficulté. La balade en mer a durée seulement 1h. Certaines personnes avaient un peu plus de mal avec les vagues, ce qui se comprend très bien, mais tout le monde a du rentrer et a été pénalisé sans même nous proposer une alternative. Au final seulement un rabais de 15% a été accordé mais impossible de discuter de l’expérience et de notre déception au moment de payer, le ton est monté, on nous a simplement dit “il faut voir avec le boss”. Dommage, et pas très honnête.. Je ne recommande pas cette compagnie.

Great kayak experience with this company. The excursion possibilities were limited this year due to COVID but they offer the tour de l'Alizée which we did. Joanie our guide was excellent, she explained everything well and made sure we we were comfortable with the equipment and technique the whole time. It was a windy day which made it more difficult but still a great experience, highly recommend it.
