We had an awesome experience with Castaways! We booked a few days in advance. Everything was super seamless when we arrived, they took the time to show us the ropes before going out on our jet-skis, and we had a great time out on the lake! Would definitely rent from them again.

If I could give 0 stars I would. This was the worst service I've recieved for boat rentals. They are slow to begin with so we booked they day prior for a 2pm time on one of the ski boats. They messed up and ended up booking us for 430pm. We had planned our whole day around this. I would not recommend, ruined our experience.

Excellent service, awesome boats, and very fair prices. Super convenient location. Wind can be a challenge on okanagan lake so plan and book accordingly. Have fun :-)

So much fun!!!! We booked to go parasailing at the end of August. Due to the wind though, the Captain was professional and called us to let us know it wasn't safe to go. A few short days later he called us back to let us know we could take off. It was one of the best experiences! You feel super safe and taken care of. Plus you have an amazing time! Definitely recommend trying one of these water sports out. The prices are also super exceptional!

I went on the banana boat with some friends & they wouldn’t do anything but make tight turns, no jumps off waves or anything exciting, they make you sign a waiver and you don’t even have fun. If this could be a 0 star review it would be.

Insulted and not impressed. Was planning on renting a boat for 8hours. Called for information and pricing. Asked if they could email a pricelist and he told me that he had better things to do then do that. Obviously not interested in my business. Would have rented for more than 1 day????

Don and Luke took incredible care of us. Even though we are experienced boaters they still taught us a couple of things! Not only that but Don flipped our reservation around and got us a bigger boat to accommodate our little guy. Great business, better people! Thanks for the awesome afternoon!

We rented a speed boat and tube for our family in August. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The boat was awesome and everything worked great with the exception of a couple of speakers. I would recommend renting from these guys.

Always a pleasure renting from these guys. Have had 3 speedboats, for wakeboarding, all really fun! The early morning special is the best deal. Factor in ~20 mins to sign in, go over instructions,etc

This is the second time I have used this company for boat rentals. Both times have been excellent! We rented a boat to tube on the lake. Before setting off, our Service Rep went through the boat making sure we knew all the controls, where the safety equipment was and was able to answer all of our questions. Thanks Tom! You were funny, knowledgeable, and helped us have a great day! We will be back again and recommend this place!

Rented the Pontoon Boat for our family. The boat itself was trashed, it had spiderwebs all over, the stereo speaker system was broken and the ladder to get into the water was also broken. The staff member who did the initial walk around/damage check with us told us not to use the ladder since it was broken, when asked how we would get in and out of the water - he said: "just don't go into the water". Frankly, this was unacceptable, if you're going boating on a hot day, you would expect to be able to jump into the water and have a safe way to get back into the boat. We weren't provided with any sort of discount or apology for all of these inconveniences. If you're looking for a boat rental in Penticton - you're likely better off looking elsewhere for better service and quality for the amount of money you're spending.

Rented jet skis and upon our return we were charged for gas even though Castaway's had made it seem as though we had paid for everything before going out. Another group returned at the same time and were also surprised about the additional cost. The employees and esspecially the owner were quite rude about it.

Called and booked in 2 weeks in advance for a 2 hours boat rental+driver for August 4th at 5 PM. Had a long conversation over the phone just to make sure my friends and I will get what we wanted(tubing+banana boat for 6 ppl). Paid a $50 deposit. Came on the day and they just simply told me they don’t have any driver and they couldn’t do any of those. They did not realize they have a booking. . Wasted 45 mins of our time trying to get what our group wanted and they eventually called a driver replacement for only 15 minutes. Ended up riding for 15 mins and on top of that, no apology was received Please get your business somewhere. Dont make the same mistake as I did

My husband choose parasailing , he was told on the beginning it will be 20 minutes in the air, finally he was maybe 10 minutes, when we asked crew why it was short time, then she said 20minutes is whole trip(different story)... we are very disappointed and don't recommend! for almost $90-10 minutes is not worth it!

First of all, if I could give zero stars I would. We went banana boating. List of things wrong, we called 4 times to get an appointment, after we finally did, we showed up and this didn’t have anything on file. The time arrangement is terrible. Next all of the kids that worked there, yes kids, didn’t know how to drive the boat, we heard the boss giving a pep talk to them before we went out. The banana was deflated, the boat didn’t have enough power the driver was very “cautious“ about waves which isn’t the point of banana boating. Absolutely a waste of time and money, only reason we went to this place was because Greg from pier water sports wasn’t here this year. But if you want to go on a real ride, call pier water sports and see if Greg is there, he is awesome we go every year.

The worst experience I ever had. Rented from them before and was a very happy customer. The owner wasn't there this time and the service was terrible. During the inspection it was noted that the prop had some damage and after I returned the boat he said I damaged the prop even more. I never hit anything but had to pay because he wouldn't void my 2500.00 CAD. I know it is the end of the season and a new prop is nice for next season, but I really feel mistreated and never will rent from them again and will tell the story to all my friends and as much as possible other people in Penticton. Didn't expect a good response from the owner. You don't get it. The PROP was damaged before I left.
