In last two years I took Via Train to both Ottawa and Montreal. Very good service on Business Class, food and drink are very good, Via Staff are very nice and working hard to make you comfortable. It is better than taking airplane and avoid hustle of airport. I wish Via Rail modernized their Rail Cart they are out of date.

I like taking the train, hadn't done it much before this year, but the price is definitely better than driving and it's great to be able to get work done while in transit or let the train rock u to sleep, if that works for you! The facility is modern and well equipped and the staff friendly and helpful. The food is decent aNd healthy good tasting options available. U have to have credit card ONLY to pay on board though! I reccomend getting on the via rail preference program after approx 10 big trips u get one free! If the train is late by an hour then u get 50% off next time!

I'm consistently disappointed with the via rail services. From the pricing, to consistent delays and the wifi never working properly. I paid literally the same price to train from Toronto to Montreal for 5 hours that I would have for a 40 min flight. It's frustrating to have experienced so many amazing train services in Europe and Asia that travel twice the distance for half the cost, and provide superior quality, timeliness and service along the way. Needs a complete overhaul in management and operations, imo.

To allow vaccinated people on board, who are spreading the virus, and not allowing unvaxxed people on board, is a shame. This is segregation and will be won in the courts. The charter Trump's over all medical mandates. Things are going to get entertaining very soon. The narrative is collapsing. And the law suits will be coming.

I take via rail more than 20 times a year and 90% of the time result in delays...price does not justify its quality.

My Via Rail experience was very relaxing. Stress free way to travel.. no traffic, no need to stop for bathroom breaks .. I purchased my ticket online and showed up 15mins early. Quick and easy .. Masks are required while riding the train.

Great service. The trains are comfortable, but a little dated. (I think that adds appeal.) Even economy class has a lot of leg room and the seats recline to a comfortable position that isn’t too inconsiderate to the people sitting behind you. I wish that they accepted debit cards on board for purchasing food and drinks. (Only credit cards are accepted) The on-board wifi runs smoothly. The multilingualism is perfect. The Tuesday deals for tickets are extremely reasonable.

The train is OK but via rail really screws up the experience on 2 easy fixes: the wifi is terrible you can’t actually do anything on it and neither can anyone I ask around me on any trip, you don’t have work-cars or quiet-cars so you have people talking on the phone for work the whole time loudly so their clients can hear them and it makes me hate them and you (via rail). Maybe offering a work-specific car or a quiet car would solve that.

Staff is friendly and helpful. Elevator or stairs will get you to Via Rail tracks. Nice waiting area if you are early. Lots of monitors and announcements to keep you informed.

Asked for help buying my train ticket as its been a few years. Was told NO! and he walked away from me then helped someone else! He was very rude. Not impressed .Otherwise it looked clean and very few people on train at 10 a.m.

A gentleman named Sylvain was extremely helpful on March 22nd 2018. There was an accident in Oakville and the train was delayed for an investigation. Sylvain contacted our group home to let us know that our resident was with him. He was safe, but would be arriving back in Oshawa later than expected. He offered to let me speak to him as well which was greatly appreciated. What a fantastic guy. Thank you very much Sylvain !!! You are AWESOME ????
