When I was planning an Aurora tour at Yellowknife, I went online to find travel agencies in Yellowknife and their packages. I picked Arctic Tours Canada because I like their 5-day Aurora tour package which includes 3 different Aurora viewing programs, i.e., hunting, cabin and Aurora Village, and several day time fun activities. During the negotiations, Arctic Tours Canada was quite flexible in re-configuring the tour itinerary by adding 2 day time activities according to my preference. After we arrived at Yellowknife, they have provided us with very professional accommodations and guides. Certainly, our being able to see fantastic Aurora in 3 out of the 4 nights of viewing contributed to all group members' high satisfaction with this trip.

We had organised the buffalo tour, with a pick up at our hotel with a start time of 12pm. When came the day of the tour we went outside at 11.45 to wait for our pick up however pick up never came. When we called they said they had been here at 11.30, however upon checking our emails and confirmation again there was no indication of an 11.30 pick up time and only had a start time of 12pm. The company kindly arranged another pickup, 10 mins later a taxi picked us up and drove us south on a highway than back for 6 hrs. The driver was lovely however we never recieved the promised snacks and drinks, information on the bison or area and no visit to a community. We were a group of 4 and paid over $500 for the tour and we didn't get what was promised. Overpriced for what was delivered. Could've hired a car and drove the highway for alot cheaper. The star was for the lovely driver we had.

I highly recommend Arctic Tours. Our guides were Wilfred and Kevin. Wilfred was the driver and I think also the owner. His sense of humor, professionalism and desire to attend to everyone's questions was really appreciated. We saw the most beautiful Northern Lights, but Wilfred made the experience even better. Thank you, Wilfred. Kevin was also very attentive, and was the translator into Mandarin if there were any Mandarin speakers. I so love the two pictures he took with the Arctic Tours very professional-looking camera. The pictures were of my good friend and me posing in front a large display of Northern Lights. I'll keep those pictures for a long long time. BTW, those pictures were complimentary for all the tour participants. Thank you, Kevin.
