I spent a truly excellent day with Darren Park of Four Season Tours. I was able to take some fabulous landscape photos of Goose Bay, Penguin Head and other local areas. Best day of my 2019 NL vacation. Highly recommended!

A summer trip to NL would be not have been complete if we had not spent it with Darren Park in the Bay of Islands off Cox's Cove. Cod jigging, bald eagles, scenery and Darren's stories makes this a Must Do event. Thanks Darren, from Greg and Stef

What can I say. I could hardly wait to get to wifi so I could rave about our trip today. Darren bent over backwards for us making sure that we were able to get the absolute most out of this trip. Since we were driving in from Trout River he even worked out different times for us so we wouldn't have to leave at 3 am to get to him ???? We weren't even on the water for 5 minutes before both my husband and I caught our first fish. In 3 hours we caught many perch, mackerel ( which Darren cut up for us to bring home ) and Cod. We saw bald eagles and watched them follow us around, waiting for their Perch. It really was a good trip. My husband is an avid fisherman back in Ontario, but there's nothing quite like Ocean fishing. From the pictures we saw at Darrens cabin, there is a real chance that you could hook into a real trophy. 100% worth the trip out to Cox' Cove to meet a man who is living his passion and has a real respect for nature and what it can and can't provide. We'll be back one day!!

Had a great time out cod jigging out off of cox's cove about a 40 minute drive out from Corner Brook. We even got to see a couple of bald eagles on our trip. First time using a fishing rod jigging cod as I had previously used the more traditional hand line. We managed to get a few meals of fish which Darren our guide fileted on the shore. The boat was a Dory which can accommodate 4 other passengers along with Darren. Highly recommend these tours if you are looking for something to do in the Corner Brook area. Thanks Darren.

If you're looking for a great trip, Darren is your guy. Within minutes of launch, we had baits in the water and hook-ups with a few drops of the jigs. Cod and sea perch in most spots within seconds of bait touching bottom. He then set us on some mackerel, and most times the bait didn't make it far from the surface before you had to snap the bail shut and fight a feisty torpedo to the surface. Outside the fish were dazzling panoramas dotted with birds and some great photo ops of bald eagles. Plus a great oral background of the area. You can really tell Darren loves what he does, and enjoys watching you pull up fish hand over fist. And if you really want to try to pull up a fish hand over fist with a traditional hands jigger, he has that too. Maybe even a shower of squid ink if they're in season if that's your thing.

I just wanted to give Darren an excellent review for the amazing tour he gave us. He was pleasant, very patient, and very sociable with us, all the great qualities you want in a host. We caught a handful of fish and he let us take some back to our camp where we feasted on the best Cod I have ever eaten. If you want an awesome, hands-on, exciting, practical fishing experience than Darren is your man. I'd say this was the highlight of our trip to Newfoundland & Labrador this summer.
