This was an awesome experience when we took our daughter and her best friend on the whale watching cruise. We saw a pod of 3 whales together which was unusual according to our guide. In addition, the excellent education provided by the marine biologist on several aspects of the marine life we viewed provided context. It was a pleasant and comfortable voyage for the afternoon.

Very expensive.

Very friendly crew, and very knowledgeable as well.

Owner John is retired Canadian Coast and as such ensures that all boats and crew are above and beyond Transport Canada safety requirements. Quoddy Link marine is one of the original tour companies out of St. Andrews. Their catamaran vessel will be the most stable vessel to operate out of St. Andrews and one of the fastest, ensuring more time for you on the water. How do I know all of this? My family operated the first Incorporated whale watching company in St. Andrews and we worked with and beside John and his company over the years.

Jay Grove

We had a great time on the boat. The tour let us see some finback whales, harbour porpoises, and seals. We even caught a couple of bald eagles off one of the smaller islands in the bay. The staff was friendly, and handled all the COVID regulations well. Well worth the money and would definitely go back.

Decided to road trip from Toronto out to New Brunswick a couple of years ago in late October. As it was the end of the season this was the only whale watching tour still available in the whole province, so we drove all the way from Moncton to go. Had great customer service, and even had the chance to see a finback whale, among other wildlife and historical buildings. Super friendly, down to earth people.

Vicki Aubrey

Excellent narration and information by the nature guide. Seasoned, patient captain to give you the best experience. We were skeptical going out in the fog, it was eerie but beautiful! Plenty of fin whales and minkes, mid July.

Joanna Yutzy

The crew is great! They r very accommodating for handicapped people! Definitely worth your time and money!!

Ann MacKay

A great crew and wonderful boat experience. The captain steals the boat to be able to see the marine life as close as possible for the well being of the whales +++. Highly recommend them????????

We loved our tour with this company! They had excellent measures in place for social distancing and frequently disinfected touched surfaces and railings. Staff were friendly, knowledgeable and extremely helpful. They also had a lot of interesting facts to share about the marine life, islands and birds we encountered. Highly recommend them! Plus - they had delicious soft cookies and rich hot chocolate for on the way back!

There is a large selection of whale watching cruise companies to choose from in the area - let me help you make it easier ... go with Quoddy Link! The crew is great - extremely knowledgeable and friendly, and the boat was also amazing (large, comfortable, great look out spots on the upper deck, steady/smooth and lots of room to move around). So glad we went Quoddy Link. We went fairly early in the season for whales (June 17th) so didn't have too high of expectations - but we had a fantastic time and were treated with porpoises, seals, MANY bald eagles, and a minke whale! I believe the tour took approximately 3 hours, but it was well worth the time. The captain went out of his way to follow the whale and give us multiple opportunities to view - while other cruises around us seemed to give up after the whale was out of view for a while, we continued to respectfully follow and see the whale come up over and over again. Whales are only a small part of this experience though; the other sights are amazing. The shoreline, houses, islands, lighthouses, whirlpools, other wildlife.... it was honestly one of our favourite experiences in our whole 2 week vacation of Atlantic Canada.

Don Tuininga

The boat and crew were phenomenal. We saw a half dozen whales of several different types, and the biologists on board were extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic about everything we saw! The cruise was extremely stable, the boat had plenty of room for everyone to find a good viewing spot, and the hot chocolate on the trip back to port was a perfect touch!

Great tour. Saw some of the last north atlantic right whales alive on the planet.

James Grasse

Highly recommended! Me and my girlfriend visited St. Andrews over the weekend and went whale watching and chose this company! Very impressed with everything overall! Huge comfortable boat with lots to see! Thanks again Quoddy Marine for the awesome experience!

remi mathew

Not value for money, comparitively expensive than other whale watching.

Stephen Eastwood

Awesome. The people are very friendly and helpful. Saw 11 whales on trip.

Donna Boucher

Awesome staff. Very knowledgeable. They look to be running at full capacity, so it felt a little crowded to say we are still in a pandemic and masks are not required. We saw minke whales, seals, and porpoises. We also enjoyed the "marine life" meet and greet at the end of the cruise. The boat was great! Stable and large, so if you get sea sick easily this is the boat to be on. You don't feel the waves as much.

Th3namesadam

Amazing adventure on the ocean! Even if you don't see any whales or large marine animals, the boat ride is exceptional, and it's an experience of a lifetime.

Katt Meagher

Very informative! Very friendly. Captain and crew Very much know their stuff! Dress very warm! It gets very cold once out in the bay of fundy!!! When they tell u that it is ten degrees colder out there... they mean it! I highly recommend this boat, as the water was a bit rough that day, and when on this boat, you hardly felt it... other boats had a hard time

Even though the Captain and staff do this trip everyday, they were just as excited and enthusiastic as us on our first experience! They did their best ensure the best possible experience for everyone. Very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. The Catamaran also seems to be the best option around for space and being able to see. The experience as a whole was better then what I was expecting. Great job Quoddy link Marine!

Outstanding!

A good experience, the catamaran can provide just the right viewing experience. This was also a good biology lesson. We watched wild whales, sea lions, and dolphins. At the end of the journey, there is free hot chocolate and cookies. In addition, the crew introduced several marine creatures, such as starfish, sea urchins, and scallops.

Whale watching is always expensive but I feel that for the size of the boat and length of time you're out this was a good price. We got to stand right at the front of the boat the whole time and had a great view. Saw some minke whales, porpoises (a lot) and seals. Wish we could have spent more time with the seals. Friendly staff

Absolutely fantastic tour! Extremely accommodating for us as we had a member of our party with impaired mobility. Wonderful ride in the Bay of Fundy with lots of sea life - birds, seals, whales, and porpoises! Highly recommended for your whale watching adventure!

Let me start off by saying WOW! We travelled from Ontario to check out real estate to make the move to NB. We had originally booked the 10am tour but the fog was thick and they advised is it would be best to leave at 1:30. Im sure glad we did. The fog had passed and the views were incredible. Captain Matt knew exactly what he was doing, and the 2 women on board were very informative. We saw a couple Minke whales, a bunch of seals, harbour porpoise and a bald eagle. This was worth every penny spent. Bonus: take the extra time to spend in St. Andrews for shopping and lunch.

Daniel LaCroix

If you want to go whale watching, this is the one to pick. As a vessel, the catamaran is ideal for purpose, being more stable, larger and faster than the others. They can go out when the others have to stay at port due to weather, they get to where the whales are, faster and so more time is spent watching, less time traveling. The captain was obviously highly skilled as were the two attendants on board who were completely knowledgeable about everything you would want to know about the local wildlife and area. I can't recommend them enough, we saw three kinds of whales, bald Eagles, porpoises, two kinds of seals and beautiful scenery.

Great service and trip!

Anna Potapova

Great experience, great marine biologists! We had a small boat because we booked last minute, but we loved our group. The captain did a wonderful job taking us to different places, we saw whales jumping and waving their flippers (and tails). Unforgettable experience!

Abe Greenspoon

Really great experience with these folks. Great hosts for the whale watching experience. They're kind and welcoming and do a great job helping the guests have a good time. We saw seals, bald eagles, porpoises, and of course a whale. Lots of space on the boat with indoor and outdoor seating and good viewing spaces. Great for kids as they show off some local critters at the end on the way back and also give everyone a snack. Definitely the best option for whale watching in Saint Andrews.

Rylan Montgomery

Wonderful people and splendid experience. Not rushed and plenty of opportunities to see wildlife.

Not only did we love St Andrew, our 3 hour tour with Quoddy Link was easily the highlight of our entire vacation. We took a 10 am sailing and were impressed by the speed and stability of the catamaran, even in a slight chop on the Bay. In a quick hour we were already seeing whales... maybe 6 or 7, within hundreds of yards. On our way back, grey and harbor seals, bald eagles and porpoises. The on-board naturalists were super, answering all of our questions and even pulling out a touch-tank with some mussels, starfish and snails. On the way back into harbor they surprised us with hot chocolate and cookies! Dress warmly as it gets cold on the water, though blankets are provided. What can I say: this tour is THE BEST!!

I have been to see the whales but I was disappointed of what it actually was to "see" whales. It is advertised as "damn, you see BIG whales and near enough you can almost touch them!". Well, we didn't. We saw some, but not as exciting as that. Although I would not recommend a whale excursion for that price (almost 200$ for a family of 4), I can suggest that for the trip, and moreover for the professionalism of the biologists on board, which you can see LOVE their doing, it was worth it. Take 3 hours of your time, enjoy a ride on a boat, sit down, relax, accept their hot chocolate drink to heat you up, and relaaaax.

This is a great choice for whale watching. The catamaran style boat was super stable with plenty of space for everyone on board. The captain knew exactly where to take us and we saw 3 different whales as soon as we arrived. The staff on board offered many interesting facts about the whales, wildlife, and area. It is a nice treat that they serve hot chocolate and cookies on the way back in to shore. Completely worth it.

Tony B

Great experience. Catamaran is so stable, Great for people with land legs. Saw plenty of whales, seals and harbour porpoise.

Had an amazing experience today! Captain Matt and the two women (sorry forget their names) were great! The women were very informative and all knew where to look and knew when the humpback whale would likely pop up again. Captain Matt took us to the right spots at the right time. We saw a humpback whale, minke whales, porpoises, seals and bald eagles! I got a couple great tail shots of the humpback whale. The length of the tour was perfect. One of the women showed us live starfish, sea urchins, clams, and crabs (that were mating haha) on the way back. Thanks for a great time! The only thing is I wished there was more merch to buy and that the store stayed open when we were finished. We ended up buying a souvenir at the whale store though!

C Roberge

Absolutely AMAZING! We saw so many whales! A few came very, very close to boat. Got some amazing photos. It was an experience we will never forget!

They day whale watching and they did not disappoint! Even though the weather was a little rainy, it was a great day of seeing a lot if whales feeding in the waters. They were breaching th surface all around us. And that's not the only wildlife to be seen. Grey Seals, Harbour Seals Bald Eagles all around! Well worth the time to go! The staff is very knowledgeable of all marine life. They have been well trained and now live the life of telling others everything they need to know about the local marine life!

Don Wynn

This was a good experience for us on a blustery day. We saw a nice variety of whales. We chose the Quoddy Link tour because the boat offered an enclosed area where we could get out of the weather. It wasn't raining but it was breezy and cool on the ocean. We dressed warmly but could have used 2 more layers of clothes. The tour wasn't rushed at all. We had plenty of time to see the whales and got lots of info from the naturalists who were on board. The tide was going out while we were on the tour. It was interesting to see how far the floating dock was below the fixed dock when we returned. I believe the naturalist told me that 100 billion tons of sea water go in and out of the Bay of Fundy during each tidal cycle. Nature is awesome.

Absolutely amazing experience for our whole family!!! Staff were very knowledgeable and helpful!!! The only company that is wheelchair accessible for whale watching in Saint Andrews. Will definitely go with them again!!!

We enjoyed a wonderful afternoon with Quoddy Link. The boat was very comfortable and our guides were excellent. The crew 'went the distance' taking us far out into the Bay of Fundy to see whales. Along the way our guides took time to point out wildlife and interesting landmarks. The crew's obvious knowledge of the area and the marine animals made the trip a great experience. We'll be back!!

Decided to do this trip instead of the breezy tall ship. It is a faster boat and we were already on our return when the tall ship caught up to us. We saw 4 humpback whales and they were pretty active still in early October. Was an experience of a lifetime and highly recommend. Staff was very informative and friendly. Enjoyed the touch tank and hot chocolate and cookie.

Thank you for an amazing day of whale watching. The trip was beautiful and the staff were amazing, knowledgeable and made the day even more wonderful. I would highly recommend this tour and we will be back again, next time we are in St Andrews

Tamara Follett

Wow! Had SUCH an AWESOME experience out on the bay with these wonderful folks! First of all, there's lots more to see than I thought there would be -- numerous islands and beautiful houses, lighthouses, rocky outcroppings with sunbathing seals, gulls the size of chickens, a mated pair of eagles, sea birds that looked like penquins but could fly, a huge whirlpool, and TWO Minke whales -- even though it was early in the season! We got SO CLOSE to one whale we could hear it breathe and smell its stinky rotten-fish breath! Dani and our other tour guide (I forgot her name!) were SO informative, offering interesting facts (Lobsters migrate! Female eagles are bigger than males! Baby whirlpools are called piglets!) and answering our incessant questions about the lobster traps and bouys and boats and birds without a hint of annoyance! It was an exhilarating informative afternoon and WELL WORTH the cost! I will definitely be returning several more times before the summer is over! VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! You simply CANNOT visit this area without going on this tour!

Ryan OHagan

My wife, a friend, and I visited this whale watching company on an east coast road trip this summer. We had two small dogs with us and couldn't find a company that was available to take the dogs with. Although they were not allowed on the Quoddy tour, the owner's daughter agreed to watch them while we went out. The actual whale watching was fantastic. We saw an abundance of porpoises, seals, and Minke Whales. Jolene (one of the guides) was incredibly knowledgeable and very personable. She was able to answer any questions me or the other passengers had and was quick to point out interesting facts about the area. Her degree in marine biology was very obvious from early on in the tour. I would highly recommend this company to anybody!

We were so very lucky to select this whale watching tour over others. We've been on similar tours at other vacation spots but this was, hands down, the best! The Captain and two team members were a delight and so knowledgeable. We encountered an abundance of whales - adults and young whales. Multitudes of humpbacks. As well as Minke whales and an enormous Fin whale. And they were active - breaching and flapping there fins/tails. The Captain maneuvered close enough to view easily...without being anxious. As well we encountered seals, porpoises, dolphins, a bald eagle and other seabirds. And believe it or not a 20 foot Basking shark that came right beside the boat. And for those of you with bad knees...the boat was easy to board. Truly an experience we won't forget.
