The crew of the tall ship was amazing. They were passionate about their job by how excited they were when they spotted a whale (s). They were friendly and knowledgeable, and kept both the kids and adults entertained for the 3 1/2 hr tour. Whale watching was a lot of fun and we had a great time. Thanks.

Matt Lovelady

Super fun time. Definitely worth the money

Kris Sybers

Absolutely amazing! I would highly recommend a boat tour with Jolly Breeze!

Katrina Cady

Lots of fun and saw a lot of sea life!

Mira K

We loved it. Our captain was amazing. Highly recommend!

Gord MacCollum

We had great trip out to see a few whales and seals. The ride in the Zodiac was fantastic. Our captain was a great guide and had great information on some the things we saw on the trip back from seeing the whales. Highly recommended if you want to spend a fun afternoon on the water.

SHUBHAM MODI

I am planning to visit here and I know it's going to be amazing that's why giving all stars in advance????.

Preeta Reghunath

Wonderful experience.. got five different whale sightings, besides the seals and porpoises. Great company to go with for whale watching.. the jet boat experience is exhilarating.. I would recommend anyone looking to whale watching choose this company, specifically enquiring on the times of the year when whales can be sighted, they are very knowledgeable..

Christine Hoang

Great experience on the tall ship tour! The guides were amazing, and we lucked out on the number of whale sightings (...I think. I personally only caught a few tails-out-of-water from my vantage point). Snacks and drinks can be purchased on board, and complementary soup is served toward the end of the ride. Really enjoyed the informative aspect of the tour -- in addition to speaking about whales common to the area, the guides will also come by and show you their (responsibly collected) trove of sea creatures, which was fascinating. This would be a very good tour for families. One word of caution though: wear layers, even in the dead of summer, as it can become frigid on the open waters. (Rain jackets and blankets are available on board.) We booked the 4:30 p.m. tour (the last tour of the day during the summer), and it ran longer than expected, so keep that in mind when scheduling. Book-ahead reservations recommended in the busy season as we saw people being turned away the day of the tour.

Daniela Lopez

1 minke whale, 2 grey seals, 2 bald eagles, birds and the farmed salmon pods. First time ever, expected a little more - it seemed to be hyped up more too, therefore the experience was slightly disappointing. The part that confused me the most, was how long our boat stalked the 1! minke whale...everyone else seemed content enough with the sighting and wanted to move on instead, a good 45 minutes was spent following this one poor whale. We could have had more time for something else.

Jeff Nelson

Great time, wonderful trip!!! Staff was wonderful, friendly and knowledgeable. Great for all ages. Would definitely recommend as a great excursion!!!

Ryan Tucker

Capt. Taeo was our captain and he was great and he genuinely wants to makesure that you will have an experience you'll never forget

Tony Phillips

I've taken the jet boat tour a few times and it's always a great experience, rain or shine. It's a 3 hour tour and is a great price for the whale watching adventure.

Danny Lawson

This was my third trip with Jolly Breeze, each one a wonderful experience. Excellent crew that does everything they can to make the trip enjoyable. They offer hot drinks, and have a licensened bar, and a wonderful soup is included. With all of this and we have never had a trip that the whales eluded us!

Bruce Virgin

We had a great time. The crew on the boat were very knowledgeable and willing to share everything they knew. We only saw a few whales but the boat trip and time in the sun was worth the price.

Mylène Ouellet

Loved the experience. All the staff is very friendly. They explaine in details the animals that were seen (seals, porpoises, whales, birds). They also have a few sea creatures on the ship that is presented to all. I strongly recommend giving it a try. I am certainly going with them again. Hopefully we'll get to see a humpback. ????

MoToT Tracy Kilpatrick

I have been out on their tall ship and the zodiac for whale watching Both great experiences, nice tour, beautiful waters. The tall ship is for people not in a rush, they have drinks and snacks and room to move around. The zodiac is fast, no room to move but you are closer to nature.

Jaison Abraham

Great service. Did not feel rushed. Delivered what was promised. Healthy cookies and friendly staff. Will recommend it.

Sadaf Kh

The best whale watching company ever. The crew and captain are amazing and so lovely. They gave you coat, rain coat and soup during the journey when the weather is so cold. They let you to have an experience with the sea creatures. We enjoyed a lot.

Willy Castillo

The whole experience was great. Staff was very knowledgeable and informative. The vessel was great. Saint Andrews is a great little town to visit.

Tim Nykamp

Great ship. Great staff. Lots of various sightings. Kids were entertained throughout the whole tour.

Laura Fraser

Great tour! Really friendly staff!

Najma Lalji

I liked this place but it was too cold ????

Pamela Cyr

Great captain, wish I could remember his name he took extra time to show and explain the boat/ zodiac workings to my grandson who was thrilled. Wish I could have been able to tip him.

Carissa W

Great tour, seen a few minke whales as well as some porpoises! Beautiful lighthouse as well

Carrie P

Excellent adventure. Captain and guide were great. Seen whales porpoises and seals. Well worth it.

Vitalii Rykunov

Marvellous place to go on an adventure . Nature is amazing here. And the town is charming

Miriam Green

We had the best morning with the crew of the Jolly Breeze! We had six adults and five kids (ages 4-9) with us. The kids loved getting to dress us like pirates, steering the ship with Capt. Dave, helping hoist the sails with Engineer/bar man/& entertainer Randy, drinking hot chocolate, as well as spotting two whales, a seal, porpoises, and various birds. Katherine, the marine biologist on board was fun and educational. She taught us a ton about sea creatures and even had a touch tank for the kids to handle starfish, a lobster, a sea cucumber, a hermit crab, and sea urchin. And although you never want anyone to get seasick, they were very helpful and compassionate towards a little one who turned green in our party.

D K

This was a wonderful experience for me. The marine biologists onboard were absolutely amazing. I really wish I could remember those two ladies names. They gave excellent educational background to the areas we went and brought around star fish and other sea creatures for educational purposes. It was exciting, informative, and beautiful. They served the soup at the perfect time and we will really have some great memories. You ladies are incredible! Thanks for the awesome experience! We saw whales, porpoises, different birds including a bald eagle and the seals are so cute and funny to watch!

David Brown

Absolutely fantastic afternoon spent with these folks. We saw three types of whales in the most cool laid back boat. Highly recommend young and old, and the pea soup is awesome too.

B Ty

We had an amazing time on the jolly breeze. It was a great family friendly activity and we will definitely be coming back in the future

Dennise Rogers

Amazing. The crew was fantastic. Ensuring we seen as much as possible, and cared for our safety. We went out, suddenly surrounded by fog, the captain turned us around and safely returned us to clear waters.

Liudmyla Golubovska

Saw whales, seals, eagles and sea stars. Cookies with hot chocolate after the trip were a great treat as well :)

Tayyab Pirzada

Nice whale watching experience. Saw minke whales, seals, and porpoises. Whales didn't breach (jump out of the water) but that could be due to their personalities or species or the time of year.

Geoffrey Jones

Excellent, well-paced trip out to see whales. The crew was knowledgeable and friendly, and they had plenty of activities for young children. Onboard breakfast was simple but pleasant, befitting a small vessel. Plenty of time was spent out at the whale feeding grounds, but the slower nature of sail does make the trip there and back longer. Fortunately, the crew is also knowledgeable about local islands, and they carry a touch tank and baleen to discuss marine biology on the way back in. I would absolutely recommend this ship.

Archanna Thayan

Captain Tao was absolutely one of the best tour boat operators by far. He was very knowledgeable about all the sea, the minke whales and even more so the history and wildlife of the Bay of Fundy! We were able to see a few whales, bald eagles and seals - all thanks to the expert handling of the boat by Captain Tao!

Sandra McClure

What a great experience. Saw 4 Minke Whales, seals basking in the sun and a Bald Eagle. Captain Randy was the best!! Learned so much about these beautiful creatures. Will definitely come back during another season.

Kristy Cook

Awesome experience!!!

Joan Routledge

A great day! Followed a fin back whale and got to see him lots! Even though the wind was up, we had a good trip.

Luc Brisson

Really enjoyed the high speed boat. A nice ride out and got the chance to see some whales and seals. The surprise **** and *****were a pleasant surprise. Erin was a great tour guide

Thomas Lennox

Always friendly and a pleasure to go out on !

Julie Bojcevski

Really fun adventure... Beautiful ship and wonderful guides:-) they feed you, teach you, entertain you. They offer warm jackets and blankets for the underprepared, they are great with kids and teaching them about sea life. We got to see 2 right whales which are apparently quite rare as well as some seals and porpoises. Great for all ages (not for babies perhaps tho) Very cool experience overall.

Jody Boyce

The Jolly Breeze Is the #1 choice !! If you give anything less then 4 star, something wrong with you. Been twice plan for a 3rd and 4th. Sometimes its just not about the whales. Enjoy the company and effort this family puts into making everyone feel welcome and comfortable. And with some luck nature might give you a treat !!

Lynn Tutty

We went on the zodiac! What a blast! The lady driving it was awesome as well! We got to see quite a few different whales ! Was an awesome experience!

Benjamin Gohier

One of the highlight of our trip to NB. We ended up seeing a humpback whale, a Minke whale and a few porpoises. They provide a one-piece overall so no need to bring 3 coats to keep you warm.

Cube Stevens

The Only way see Whales A great crew.wonderful experience...

M L

Gonzo and Batman were absolute units (minke whales) saw seals and porpoises, boat operator was super knowledgeable and enthusiastic 10/10

Ahmed

Amazing experience! Saw several types of whales and the crew was awesome! Highly recommended!

Melonie Gilchrist

The staff was friendly and informative. They served hot chocolate, tea, and coffee to keep people warm on a particularly cold and rainy day. The soup served on board was delicious. Although they have no control over whether whales will be seen, they worked hard to find whales and were just as excited as the passengers when we did seem. We got to see harbouring porpoises, minke whales, fin back whales, harbour seals, grey seals, and a variety of sea birds as well as a bald eagle. It was a wonderful experience!

78469 Expertech

Fun experience and knowledgeable guide

Mike Shoss

I highly recommend doing the zodiac boat tour! Fewer people, more personal and intimate and faster to get father out to the whales. This will be something I do every time I’m in the area.

Sahana Nair

Really good experience! The staff and everyone from Jolly Breeze team was amazing and very courteous. We went pretty early in July so just saw one Minke whale but saw a lot of Porpoises and also a bald eagle :) loved the experience. Will definitely be coming back and highly recommend!

Alain Charbonneau

Awesome tour.. friendly staff

Kathy Waugh

A group of 9 women went whale watching to celebrate a birthday. A wonderful day! I loved how they entertained the children with raising the sail, face painting and the touch tank. Worth every penny!

MJ Plebon

This was fun. Saw three whales. Staff were helpful, friendly and informative

Rebecca Cumming

Came for the whales, stayed for the soup.

Matthew Crack

We went out in the Nautica jet boat. Saw finbacks and humpbacks multiple times -- even a breach and tail slapping! The driver Tao was awesome and everyone on the staff was super nice. Boat was super smooth and fast ride. Can't wait to go back!

Laura O'Brien

Had an amazing whale watching trip! We saw so many whales it was unbelievable!! Staff on boat were nice and knowledgeable and made sure safety was a priority– there were lots of young kids on board and it was clear they were experienced with teaching and managing the challenges that can bring. Make sure to bring warm layers!

Alexandre Boucher

Amazing experience! We were lucky enough to see whales and a white shark! The crew members were fantastic with the kids. This tour really is a must if you are in st- Andrews

M& M

Went with my mom and kids. It was an amazing experience. The crew were very friendly, knowledgeable, and excellent with the kids on board. Very well planned out activities to keep everyone on board engaged. We loved the sea creatures! Thank you.

Erik P

Had a good time, the zodiac was even more comfortable than expected. Saw a bunch of sea life. I would have liked to learn a little more while on the water but I am sure I could have asked questions as out captain seemed very knowledgeable

Janine Lagundzin

Great staff and so nice of them to run a whale watching tour so late in the season. It was a very bumpy ride which was very fun. Prepare to get wet! We saw grey and harbour seals, bald eagles, 2 giant finback whales, a minke whale, and tons of porpoises. The tour was very enjoyable and well worth the money!

Terri

Had a wonderful experience on a Zodiac with the friendly and experienced crew. We started off in the fog but Captain Randy expertly navigated us out to where we were able to see some whales including harbor porpoises and minke whales. Our biologist John was very knowledgeable about the various sights we saw. We also got to see several cute harbor seals and big grey seals and I learned something new about the Campobello lighthouse. The fog lifted and the high speed boat ride was a lot of fun. I was a little anxious as I had never been on a Zodiac before but I would definitely go again and recommend the Jolly Breeze.

Jessica Lines

Great 1st experience whale watching... The seals were too cute... I was impressed by how all of the boating companies communicated with one another so everyone got to see the whales

Adam From Canada

We had to drive 2.5 hrs to get here from our rented cottage but I would say it was worth it. The weather was "nautical", cold, rainy and windy but the tour operators provided us with water resistant, insulated jackets for the trip. Good thing too, since it's quite a bit colder out on the water. We ended up seeing a few whales, some porpoise and a couple of seals. Since these are wild animals, the tour can't guarantee anything, but they do a good job of keeping you entertained while en route to the feeding grounds and back to port. The trip out and back is a little long, especially if it's foggy and you can't see the islands. Our trip was lucky enough to have a biologist as part of the crew and she did a good job of explaining what we were seeing. She was also local so she knew a lot about the area. Other tours may have faster boats, but having been on the tall ship, I wouldn't have it any other way.

John Matheson

Amazing time! Saw 6 to 8 humpbacks, lots of dolphins and even a shark! Take the zodiac, it's fast and smooth and with the full suit on you don't even get cold. Best spent money of the trip!!

Lyn H

Nice ride on a zodiac, but hugely disappointing as far as whale watching goes. We saw one whale - only the back and a fin - and only in the distance. We didn't get anywhere nearly as close as the website photos would suggest. PS> Clearly this isn't a "zoo", but there was little effort made to get close to the one whale we did see. And we didn't see a porpoise.

Mike Jacquart

This was a great experience! We were a group of 20. Ages ranged from 73 to 13. Everyone really enjoyed themselves on the Tall Ship Jolly Breeze. The weather was cool but sun was out. They provided extra blankets, coats and rain gear if anybody needed. The 3 girls (Marine Biologists) were about the best anybody could ask for, very friendly, knowledgeable and wanted to please everyone. The touch tank was cool, my daughter loved touching all the different things like lobster, crab, starfish etc . The girls have a great knowledge of anything marine, from whales to birds to, even gave us a geography lesson and history lesson on some of the islands. They served us lunch which was an incredible tasting soup. As for whales we see Minke and Fin, also we seen grey seals, porpoises, and many birds. the scenery and fall colors were second to none. If you want a relaxing sail on a very well kept sail boat, and run by a great staff then you need to do this.

Hannah Skinner

We’ve been whale watching with them twice now on their Zodiac. We’ve had a great time! Saw whales, porpoises, all kinds of birds and seals. The folks at Jolly Breeze are so professional, fun and incredibly knowledgeable about the area, the animals and the ocean. I dream about the floatation suits they give you. So cozy and comfy! We can’t wait to go again!

Laura Davis

A really fun time! We went during a heatwave (37° and full sun). Recommend wearing shorts and a tank top, bring a sweater or light jacket because the breeze gets really chilly once you hit the bay of Fundy. Not a lot of shade on the boat, bring sunscreen. Washroom on the boat but it's down a steep ladder so if you're not very mobile may not be good for you. They have a full bar and drinks and snacks for kids ($), we brought our own water and snacks. The crew (captain Davey Jones, Brittany, Amelia and Taio) were fantastic, knowledgeable and made sure everyone was having a great time. We saw some mincke whales, porpoise, sunbathing seals, eagles and jellyfish. If you have binoculars being 'em! Oh and the pea soup was delicious!

Brent Starr

Great tour and sight seeing trip out from St. Andrews for whale watching

Sarah Gallah

Nice experience getting on a boat and great pirate soup! Liked how they provided us with coats since it was freezing. Considering we didnt see a whale, the tour is quite pricey and very long ...

Satish Radhakrishnan

The team at Jolly Breeze is awesome. They took extra effort to ensure a memorable experience!

Andrew Kupkee

Knowledgable and friendly staff. Great experience

Carter Senis

Great time, would highly recommend the Zodiak experience when whale watching as it's a blast. You might get a bit wet but the boat is fast and it adds to the overall package. Fantastic staff and couldn't be more pleased!

Leanne Fischer

had a great time, staff were all really friendly and helpful, saw a few whales or at least their dorsal fins.

Heather Ferguson

What an incredible experience! We took our sons, age 5 and 19. Our whole family had a wonderful time. The crew was friendly, funny and very knowledgeable. Started with breakfast- bagels, cream cheese, juice, coffee, hot chocolate and fruit. Followed by the captain providing information about the sights along the way. There was plenty to keep everyone busy. Our youngest was able to get a pirate costume on before setting sail and have his face painted on board. The touch tank included lobsters, crabs, sea urchin, sea cucumber and starfish. Our tour spotted harbor seals, tons of porpoises, 1 finback and numerous minke whales (too many to count). It was a fantastic experience. Thank you to everyone on the Jolly Breeze.

Brenda Kruger

The captain of our vessel was Randy and he was great. He seemed to genuinely care about not crowding the whales. A great experience!

Michael Chen

Experience of a lifetime. Saw a handful of Minke whales, couple of humpbacks, and one Fin whale.

My Les

Really great trip and tour as it sailed leisurely, had fantastic engagement for both adults and children alike. I found that filming the sightings were less stressful than taking pictures, seeing that we don't know whenever the porpoises, seals or Minke whales come up. Bring your sunscreen, snack, binoculars and a warm jacket for when you hit the colder areas by the Bay of Fundy. Otherwise, they have blankets for borrowing. Kids got to steer the ship, everybody got to touch sea urchins, sea cucumbers, star fishes, whale tooth, etc. THEN, they start handing out soup and crackers. It was so worth it!

Raphael Gelinas

Beautiful adventure the boat staff is super friendly and it was a blast sailing on the sail ship was a fun experience a must see in New-Brunswick

Allison White

Amazing experience! Thank you to all of the staff.

Jay G

I can't say enough about how fantastic Jolly Breeze and the crew were. What a fantastic tall ship ride. With the soup, onboard "petting" aquarium, information about the area, as well as all the sightings of whales, seals, eagles, porpoises and more, there was never a minute of boredom. Kids and adults will love it, and I would recommend it to everyone.

Laura Griffin

Great if you're only interested in a very long boat ride. We spent 1 1/2 hours sailing out into the Bay of Fundy, half an hour watching the fins of a couple of finback whales that surfaced a few times, then 1 1/2 hours sailing back to port. We specifically asked if there were any humpbacks in the area and were told no. Only to find out when we got back that friends of ours who had gone out that day on a different tour, at less than half the cost of ours, saw humpbacks that came right up to the boat, and made quite a show, with lots of fin and tail slapping on the water. This wasn't way out in the Bay, but just near Deer Island, which we PASSED on our long trek out. Watching all the incredible videos they had taken made us green with envy, to say the least. We could have paid a fraction of what we paid, travelled half the distance and had a far more spectacular and up close view of some truly magnificent creatures. I would recommend -- if you only want to give your kids a great sailing experience. Otherwise, go with a different tour boat, like one of the smaller fishing vessels that go out. Response to owner: I'm not spreading misinformation at all. Our group of 4 paid over $300.00. Our friends paid $160. for their group of 4. The Jolly Breeze is a great tour for people who have maybe never been on a boat and there's lots of things to keep kids amused for the long 3 hours of travel time. If you want to get a better 'whale' experience, I would recommend one of the smaller fishing vessels such as the one our friends went on.

Kieran Hayde

Took a group of 12 students on this tour and was so impressed. We saw lots of whales and got super close. We also saw porpoises, eagles and coyotes. But even if we hadn’t seen anything, it would have been a great outing. The team onboard were excellent and made the trip fun with lots of learning, an onboard aquarium and face painting. Thoroughly recommend these guys!

Peter Larsen

Great staff and our captain was the best. Randy was great with many years experience and knew many of the whales we saw by name. He was funny and very skilled with the large Zodiac for us all to see whales, porpoises, harbours seals to just name a few.

Jessica Lalande

Better than I expected!!! Went with 2 kids (7 and 8 yo) they were never bored (some kids were). We saw whales for about an hour, each child got to steer the ship, they got to hold different water animals. All this while I enjoyed a glass of wine! The offered homemade pea soup that we all enjoyed, my husband had 2 cups! Highly recommended!

Andrew Lawrence

The bilingual staff were knowledgeable and friendly and just as excited to see whales as we were. The whales made an appearance late in our trip and the captain stayed out late to give us a fantastic view of them feeding. I would recommend bringing a sweater and long pants like tear aways as it gets cold further out. They provided soup on the way back in. Great experience!

Evgenia Ermakova

This was an amazing experience! We went on the zodiac boat, the captain did a great job showing us lots of whales. We saw a family of three whales that were jumping out of the water which is really rare to see. So beautiful and unreal. We loved it and highly recommend taking the tour with these guys!!!

Cecilia Findlay

Amazing tallship. The crew were topnotch and really good with the kids. We saw whales, harbour dolphins, brown back seals and bald eagles. Soup was a great touch.

Eric Black

Great time knowledgeable staff that go out of their way to make your day memorable.

Robyn Price

Fantastic staff! Went for a whale tour on vacation in August. The staff were all very nice and friendly and the guide was very knowledgeable. After the tour, we had hot chocolate and chocolate macaroons. Extra stars to the staff for their quick reply on the ingredients of the macaroons after my dag ate one. They even gave me advice on what to do for him. Will definitely be using this tour group every time i go to saint andrews!

Tania Foster

We had the most incredible experience we saw humpbacks, minkes and fin backs. Cece was wonderful, and Randy is amazing his knowledge and passion for these wonderful creatures is beyond words. From the booking with Joanne, the fitting of the survival suits, the ride out past the wolves to witness such beauty is an experience you definitely don't want to miss. Well done Jolly Breeze team!

Shannon Greenlaw

Fantastic experience. Went on the VIP Zodiac tour. You don't just putter around nearby, they take you pretty far out for a good 2.5 hrs. You will be given a very fetching and flattering survival suit to wear, so check in when they tell you to as there is a bit of hit or miss getting sized and then pulling on the suit. You will appreciate this suit more when you get to open water. Sunscreen on your face, ears and neck is HIGHLY recommended. Don't bring a big bag or purse or backpack as there is nowhere ideal to stash it. Our guide that day was very knowledgeable and in addition to spotting seals, porpoises and some whales, there was also some sightseeing as he pointed out interesting landmarks. Take a camera if you want but the pictures you get will be nowhere near as good as what you're seeing so be sure you try to enjoy the experience in real time without a camera or phone in front of your face. There is also the parts where your guide turns off the boat's engines while we wait for a whale to surface. It was the first time I had been on the Bay of Fundy without hearing an engine. It was so quiet. How often can you experience that? We could even hear the blowhole when a whale surfaced. I mean... COME ON! Also there is hot chocolate and a soft ginger cookie. Worth every penny. There aren't many better ways to spend an afternoon.

Mahala B

Amazing. Wonderful tour guide. Great experience!

Bill Humphrys

Fun boat. Great cool weather gear provided. Saw whales, seals & porpoises. Hot chocolate and cookies after the trip :)

Phil

Really great experience. The crew was highly knowledgeable and took care of everyone excellently. We brought our three year old and there were other kids on the boat. It was very kid friendly. Bi-lingual service was available and the "little pirates" got to help out as crew. We saw lots of whales, porpoise, seals and other wild life. Even thought the crew do this several times a day, they still got excited when we saw various marine life.

Lindsay Gunn

Great tour, saw tons of whales! Boat had a lower deck in case the kids get bored (coloring, books, stuffed toys). Well organized and knowledgeable staff

Carla Danielson

Highly recommend the tall ship Jolly Breeze! We took this trip with our 10 & 12 year old daughters and they loved it too! Younger kids on board had fun with colouring below deck and face painting - and whales, seals, sea birds and porpoises!! Of the 4 crew - 3 were biologists and they were very knowledgeable spotting the wildlife and telling us about them. The ride was smooth and relaxing and every seat was front row! Delicious soup was served and hot and cold drinks were available for purchase. A beautiful way to see more of the Bay of Fundy. Excellent!

Lisabeth Leeman

This was the best tour ever ! Would do it again 100% wonderful staff and great captain my husband and I had never been on a boat or open water TIL today thank you jolly breeze for making this a special day to remember
