I was very disappointed with Fundy Tide Runners as we had booked a tour that was supposed to go out later in the day. An hour before it went out we got a call saying that not enough people signed up so they wouldn't be able to take us out. Since they let us know so late in the day, we weren't able to get on another boat with another company. We also offered to pay for the two additional seats that weren't filled to make it worthwhile for them to take us out and then they started making up strange excuses such as now they didn't think there would be whales out there to see, the weather might not cooperate, they typically have a policy where the don't allow patrons to pay extra. It was very strange and got the feeling that they just didn't feel like taking us out. We had based our short time in St Andrews on doing this particular whale watch tour - thank you for ruining our stay.

We had a great experience with Fundy Tide Runners! The boat, the team and the service are excellent! The captain is a great professional who knows his job. He looked and found whales, showed different birds and seals. We saw a whale just 3m away from our boat! Is was amazing!! Definitely recommend this tour for everybody! ????

Been on a number of whale watching excursions and this was by far the most fun. Saw a ton of whales, a pod of 9 finbacks, 4 or more humpbacks, porpoises and seals. Loved the boat was fast! Lots of fun!

Update: Editing my review and changing it to a 4 star. I did this tour 2 years ago and had a great time...though this was before I had gone on a whale watching cruise on one of the bigger boats. After a 3 hour cruise on the bigger boat I have to say I prefer the cruise experience. More laid back and a MUCH better vantage point for seeing the whales. While I'd still recommend this as a fun experience, i'd recommend the bigger cruises if you want a better chance at seeing whales and enjoying the experience in a more comfortable setting. Had an amazing time with Fundy Tide Runners when I went whale watching in Saint Andrews. Saw a few different whales, porpoises, seals, eagles, and quite a few other animals as well. The captain is an amazing guy, funny, easy to get along with, and has some great stories to share when you're out on the water. The Zodiac boat gives a much better experience than being stuck in one of the bigger boats and you get a more up close and personal look at all of the wildlife you come across! I'd definitely recommend going with Fundy Tide Runners if you're hoping to experience some incredible whale watching during your visit to Saint Andrews!

Unfortunately this was a very expensive boat ride as we saw no whales, a few grey seals, a couple of porpoises (so they told me, as I didn’t see them). If their success rate of sightings is 95% then our group must have fallen into that 5%. I’m wondering if it hadn’t been so windy, if that would’ve made a difference as the water was very choppy. Staff was nice.

Great tour company for whale watching. They are flexible in terms of payment options and timings. Melissa and the captain were courteous and helpful to help us prep for the trip. One drawback was that our tour was delayed by an hour because others were late. I would recommend that tours stick to the original times.

We had a great day out on the water. We saw a bunch of seals sunbathing on the rocks, porpoises, Minke whales and even dolphins! It was great to see all of the different boats working together to let eachother know of sightings, so everyone had a chance catch a glimpse of some awesome animals! Absolutly recommend!

Captain Pat gave us a wondetful tour. Aim for the 630 tour if you have spare time as it will often stay out longer being the last run of the day. And the puns are to die for.

Had so much fun whale watching with this company. The boat they use is fast, so if you see a whale, you can easily go closer to a safe distance of course. I saw the fins and the tails of multiple whales. We also saw some seals. Was very fun. We went in the morning.

It was super!!! Captain was awesome, receptionist helped us pick the right departure time and it was perfect! Seen hundreds of porpoises!!! A few whales, seals and eagles! Trip was beautiful! Sunset on the way back was breathtaking. 10/10 would go again.

Great experience with Fundy Tide Runners! Knowledgable captain on whales facts and information. Very quick to get to the areas of recently spotted Minke whales. Very good with children and a very welcoming environment and staff. Great energy all around! The Zodiac boat is a must! It is so smooth and such a fun ride. It's much faster and more agile. Very quick to the areas of Minke whale sightings. I've done whale tours on the west coast on larger boats and I enjoyed the Zodiac WAY more. Very much enjoyed the puns and dad jokes. THE BEST WHALE WATCH IN NEW BRUNSWICK! Fundy Tide Runners offer a one in a lifetime chance to get close to whales without the large crowds. For the boat that we took out, it fit 12 people which gives lots of spots to see the whales. The quick moving boats get you out to the whales and back in FASTER than any other boat I saw which gives you much more time viewing the whales. The whales weren’t the only thing we saw. We saw harbor seals, grey seals, puffins, razorbills auks, eagles, gulls, harbor Porpoises, humpback whales, minke whales, and the massive fin whales. Great tour! Even on a hot day, the wind is cool and strong; the suits were a welcome addition. We saw seals, porpoises, a puffin and a family of 3 fin whales. They try very hard to find sea life during your time, communicating with other boats in the area.

We went whale watching as a family of 6 with Fundy Tide Runners last evening(August 2019). It was truly the most incredible experience. The boys loved the fast boat, close to the water, and close to the whales! We saw Fin whales, Minke whales and the most incredible pods of Humpback whales! It was worth every penny. Pics and videos do not do this experience justice. My family will remember this forever! The humpback whales were so close to our boat and we were mesmerized by the sounds they made with their blowholes, and their tails as they rose out of the water. I felt safe the whole time. Our Captain, Greg, was knowledgeable and great to talk to . I would recommend this to every family. Why buy your kids “stuff” when you can share an experience like this with them? We did the 6 pm launch and it was so fun. We saw the sun setting as we drove back to the pier. I can’t say enough...

Great time on the water. Seen alot of Mink whales . They surface and dive quickly so it's hard to get a picture but still can see them plenty. See some seals and other fish never seen before. The captain was great and the boat dated but safe . Would definitely return in the future.

Professional set up, the zodiac boat is the best way to see the whales. Only takes about 12 people you are supplied with full survival suits and you do need them to keep warm as you travel quite fast to get to wherever the whales are. The trip is approx 2.5 hours and well worth the money.

We had a rather large group and they were happy to get all nine of us on board. Our captain, Greg, was absolutely lovely and made sure that everyone on the boat got a good view of the whales. We saw several finbacks, some humps, seals, and even a minke. The weather was amazing and the entire trip was worth waking up at 4am and driving to make the 9am trip out.

What an amazing 2 hours! I have been twice this year and hope to get out 1 more time. Every day is a different adventure. This company goes out of its way to make your trip a memorable one. You get out where the action is faster and if you need to move because let’s face it, the whales move then you are on a smaller boat with speed and a guide who knows how to get you safely on to the next sighting. If you could get a better experience, I’d let you know but for me… there isn’t anything I saw that compares. I actually had tears when I was on my way home because I was in such amazement over how lucky I was to see nature in all its glory. Thanks team! See ya again

Had a good run out at sea looking for whales. The captain was great and kept us chuckling and rolling our eyes at his great punny jokes. The cusyomer service was great and was a breeze to deal with. We were greeted with a smile and left with a warm hot chocolate upon returning to warm us up after the ride. The boat is small and fast so it could jet to any location if they spotted a whale. All the local whale watching companies helped each other out over the radio which almost guarantees a sighting. I would certainly go again.

We had a wonderful experience...they bent over backwards to accommodate us. Our captain farley was awesome and made sure our experience was special. It was a first time for my 2 grandchildren ....the trip was a gift for their birthdays this year. My granddaughter who just turned 10 was so overwhelmed seeing the porpoises she cried tears of joy. This is the by far the best way to see the beautiful scenery and get close ro the whales.!!!

Good quality and really nice captain! I’m reading other reviews saying the boat is uncomfortable, but it’s a small boat so you should not go expecting a luxury set up, and be aware that you’ll be close to others. If you’re wanting a fancier cruise style ship or even a party boat style, then this is not the right company for you. For what it is, we absolutely loved it! Saw lots of whales and the captain had names for a few, as they were whales that came by a lot.
