REVIEWS OF Capt Riddle's Whale Watching IN New Brunswick

We went on a whale watching and fishing trip with Captain Riddle and we saw minke whales, dolphins, porpoises, and seals. The captain was great, super friendly and informative. The best part of the trip was the fishing. The Captain knew the best spots and in no time we had half a bucket full of mackerel. He even cleaned the fish for us. The Captain's kid was there too to help his dad, and our kids befriended him and had lots of fun. All of us really enjoyed it. This is a small family business, very personable and in many ways much better than a larger whale watching operation. I highly recommend this trip to anyone visiting.

We had an amazing time with Brandon and his son Grady. We brought FOUR kids ages 1-7 on board and took them to see whales, porpoises, egals, seals and finished up with some mackerel fishing. I've been on several whale watching tours, but have never had this amount of fun. He and his son were so kind and considerate with the kids. We had a party of eight and didn't feel crowded or strapped for time to get in everything. If you are looking for a taste of the east coast, a true look into island life, call Brandon. He's straight up, patient, reliable, knowledgeable and truly a saint! All of the extra fish we caught he brought back to a retired couple on Campobello Island. This was a lifelong memory I am very thankful we made with Brandon and Grady, and I can't wait for our next adventure with them!

Such a kind family, beyond fair pricing, and he went above and beyond to make try and help us to see a whale. There’s a facility on the boat. And a perfect size for 4-12 people. Definitely recommend.

Brandon provided us with a fantastic afternoon by showing us plenty of minkes, porpoises, eagles, and grey seals. We spent some time fishing as well and he immediately put us on some mackerel, which the kids LOVED reeling in. Brandon was knowledgeable, helpful, and made sure we had a good time. He let my son steer the boat for a while and taught him how the radar worked, a special day for sure! Look him up, you won't be disappointed.

Had such a great time out on the water! Got to see tons of whales, caught some fish, and good friendly conversation with the Captin! The boat has snacks, water, and a bathroom on board. Would highly recommend to locals and tourists alike!

Excellent trip! We had so much fun, saw whales, harbor seals, and eagles. The scenery is beautiful and seeing the whales with the scenic back drop was just breath taking. We saw minke, finback, humpback and even a rare right whale. The captain was polite and knowledgeable. Can't wait for our next trip!

Brandon was very friendly and took us out whale watching on short notice. Its a personal small boat and he does the tours as a side hobby. Very reasonably priced (bring cash or be able to E-Transfer to BMO bank). We saw plenty of porpoises, Minke whales, sea birds, bald eagles (adult and juvenile), and spectacular views! He took us by the Old Sow whirlpool and the beautiful East Quoddy Lighthouse. It was especially appreciated that he was pet friendly and allowed our dog on board. We wouldn’t have been able to have this wonderful experience otherwise.

We had an amazing first time whale watch experience with Captain Riddle’s Brandon and his son. It was only the four of us, my family and I, and I highly recommend booking as soon as you arrive to the area. We saw two different finback whales, some seals, several porpoises and many minke whales. Brandon knew exactly where to take us to spot several porpoises and even see them beneath the surface as they swam towards us. We were even lucky enough to see a minke whale crest only 30 feet from the boat — but like I said that was luck! Brandon knew a lot about the area’s islands, its animals, industries, etc. He even gave us a chance to fish off the boat for a bit and each of us caught at least 2 fish! Definitely worth the time and adventure to spend an afternoon with Brandon on the boat. We will come again next year for sure!
