Very cool experience and novel to commute in helicopter however in the end there isn't much difference from the Sea Planes which cost less. Travel time is essentially the same.

Got notification of a canceled flight about 30 minutes before scheduled take-off. Missed my connecting flight in Vancouver. Total cost $350. No help or assistance from helijet other than “sorry, you shouldn’t book flight in Van close to arrival time”

It's a passenger port at nice and quite area close to Nanaimo Downtown. The city welcomes every passenger of cruise from foreign countries with cubes of the famous Nanaimo bars and bright friendly smile. Limited parking especially when huge cruise ship docked. However there is huge parking area out side the Port authority premises compound. Cruise passengers can also safely walk to downtown area if they choose not to catch shuttle bus. Passenger lobby has very nice ambiance with native art on the entire wall. There are few typical bathtubs racer vessels kept outside as sports heritage.

My son and I flew to Vancouver on the Helijet for the first time on a terribly cold winter day. On the trip home a blizzard started and it suddenly became unsafe to fly. The pilot calmly turned around and brought us to Richmond airport. Helijet didn't charge us for the trip and for most companies that would have been the extent of their compensation. The pilots called cabs and were going to pay the fare to anywhere we needed to go. It became clear the snowstorm was too serious and a cab wasn't coming for us. One of the pilots drove us to the ferry terminal in his vehicle to ensure we would make it home that night. Thank you to Helijet and to their pilot Matthew for making sure my son and I didn't get stranded during the storm. We will definitely be flying with you in the future.

Poor customer service, no clarity in booking & cancellation policies, nothing done to help customers even when contacted one full day before the flight. On top of it, the answer you get by the manager is that our agent has 10 years experience & knows her work well.
