Booked a golf trip with Brendan and had a great time! He picked us up in Nanaimo and took us to 2 great courses in Qualicum. The post round brewery tour capped off a great day! Highly recommended for an island golf getaway!

Such an amazing trip! We went for a day visit to Comox Valley, the guys went to go enjoy the golf course while we went to try on wedding and bridesmaid dresses. Brendan is super knowledgeable about the area and took us to some great wineries and breweries. Also at the winery someone had a cardboard cut out of George Clooney which was iconic. Lots of laughs and great music for the ride home. You won't regret booking with them!

We booked a private adventure tour, that took us through the mountains of Vancouver Island and ending at a secret beach. Brendan was such a great host, sharing lots of local knowledge and offering interesting stops along the way. We enjoyed all the craft beer and the beach fire! Thanks Brendan!!!

My wife (Carol) and I took a trip from Nanaimo over the Island to Tofino. Being from Australia, we didn't realise how large the island was. It's huge! We are used to walking around our islands in a few hours - well this took best part of the day. We passed some amazing lakes and incredible blue rivers – well more turquoise/crystal blue looks like they came out of a movie from another planet. Had an exceptional drive along Cameron Lake skimming the water’s edge as we drove by. I wanted to stop at Beaufort Picnic Site for morning tea; but was informed by our tour guide Brendan that we had a much better place to stop, well he was right. We stopped at Cathedral Grove and we saw some giant trees, biggest I've ever seen in my 60 plus years on this planet. Well Brendan was very knowledgeable about trees, beer and wine and well he know a lot about everything – really couldn’t believe the Canadian walking encyclopedia / well maybe should say “Walking Hey Google”. Took some pictures at “MacMillan Provincial Park” - yeah they were the biggest trees I've ever seen. They even had a lava tree (lavatory). Okay we didn’t use it – just walked around it ???? Stopped at “Taylor River Rest Area” where you can charge up your electric car – if you have one. Had lunch at “Shelter Restaurant” – décor is really great with wooden features everywhere – okay I love wood. We saw a lot of driftwood lining the beaches and floating in the ocean. There were plenty of evergreen trees lining the coastline which is something we don’t really get in Australia. I would say this was typically “West Coast” vegetation. I could go on and on and on but rather you take a tour with Brendan and crew yourself to see it firsthand. I am sure they will keep you entertained the whole way. GazMan and Cazza (From Australia)

They offer many different options that provide some awesome opportunities to check out some beautiful parts of Vancouver Island. Highly recommend boarding the Magic Bus!!

Explore Vancouver Island knows the spots! They're like your best bud that you haven't seen a while because they've been away traveling in Europe and then you score 2 weeks off to go visit and when you get there you're stoked to learn that they've got the whole place cased out with all the tips and tricks on how to dodge the beaten path, wasting no time in getting into some far off rad places, maximizing good times in short order.

Went on a bachelor trip with 9 friends around the sunshine coast for four days. Brendan was a great host who went above and beyond to ensure we were able to see the areas best kept hiddden gems. His great personality and networking in the tourism industry created an opportunity for our group's private dinner party. Overall the tour was a highlight of the summer and an experience I soon won't forget. I highly recommend grabbing a group of friends and loading them into Explore Vancouver Island's bus.

Brendan took my girlfriend and I on our first trip to Tofino and Ucluelet! The beaches and towns were incredible but what stood out most for me was how easy going and relaxed the day was. It felt like Brendan was one of our good friends and we were just catching up and spending a great day together. UNFORGETTABLE. This old sailor knows his stuff! I sipped a few brews on his latest tour. We had a small group and felt very comfortable cruising in the old bus from brewery to brewery. We had an amazing experience with Brendan! We booked the bus as a shuttle from Nanaimo to Tofino. He picked us up right at our ferry terminal and dropped us off right at our door in Tofino. He was knowledgable about every area of Vancouver Island, and made it a really fun time! Pointed out beautiful sights, hidden spots and wildlife along the way. Would highly highly recommend!

What a unique and cool way to explore our beautiful island. We took a family tour to the west coast for a 60th birthday adventure. Brendan was an amazing tour guide, and took us to many hidden gems along the way that we never would have found ourselves. The bus is one of a kind; a lifted 4 wheel drive vehicle that made the adventure all the more fun when we were able to go off road to find Brendan’s ‘secret’ spots! Good times, good tunes, good fun...I give this company 6 stars!

Awesome experience! We toured a winery’s, and breweries in the Comox/Courtney area and had some much fun. The guides gave us information about each stop, and answered all our questions. Brendan is very charismatic and super informative about the island. he seems to have built impressionable relationships with each of the owners which makes the tour so much more welcoming. I could not recommend this tour company enough for any excursion on the island. great group activity to celebrate with friends.

We did a private tour with Brendan near Port Renfew. He was fun, funny and knowledgeable. We can’t wait to book another tour as soon as we can. Definitely recommend this for anyone!! The best part is that he had a mocha pot and will make you fresh coffee for your hikes!

My family and I went on a tour through Comox valley with Explore Vancouver Island and it was exactly what we were looking for! The guide had great energy, was knowledgeable about the area, and put a fun spin on everything! Explore VI took us to awesome spots that we definitely wouldn't have been able to find ourselves. Loved the tour so much that I booked them a few months later for a wine tour with friends. It was so fun and again, the guides were awesome! (so was the wine) Would definitely recommend! Tours are versatile and are great for both family and friends!

I can't say enough about how wonderful yesterdays adventure with Brendan to the Carmanah Valley was. This was my second tour with Brendan: the Pacific Marine Loop last year and yesterdays customized visit to the Carmanah Valley. His passion for the woods and these beautiful areas was contagious and added to our enjoyment of the day. As we walked along, he would point out vistas or particularly special trees so that we didn't miss anything. He was always aware of our safety and was there if anyone needed help to negotiate more difficult areas of the hike. Riding in the big yellow bus was part of the adventure as Brendan navigated the narrow winding potholed roads with skill. I think he enjoyed making the big splashes as much as we did. Lunching by the Carmanah river even in the rain was something I will not forget. I can't wait till my next adventure with Explore Vancouver Island!
