The service I received from Affordable Tours and specifically Pierre was top notch. I had done my research but the booking process was easy and relatively quick (considering we had 4 people booking a tour with tricky flights). Pierre explained everything and offered a lot on insight into the tour and flights. It was a bit cheaper to book with Affordable Tours vs direct with the tour company. I love to same money! I enjoyed talking with him and look forward to booking with them for my next tour or cruise.

The worst experience we have ever had with a travel agent and travel agency. We were traveling internationally, which is always difficult because of language barriers. Jerry, a cruise travel agent NEVER responded and if he did it was because we would bombard with phone calls to managers or have our father (I am 30 years old) our father would have to “say he was an attorney” which is his occupation but, he never “job drops”. The cruise got cancelled 3 times and he never directly reached out to us. He would never respond to multiple emails or phone calls. In order to get anything done, we ended up booking on our own. This is the first google review I have ever done because the experience was so bad. Please do not use affordabletours, especially the cruise agent Jerry.

Worked with Affordable Tours on an amazing trip/to Washington DC & surrounding areas. From the moment I began t work with their rep, Marianne, till I returned home, I couldn't have been happier. The tour took in every historical sight imaginable in the DC area, on up to & including Philadelphia. The coach traveled in was comfortable & clean, the tour guide was friendly &, most importantly, very informative & the hotel stops were all nice, comfortable & clean. Many hotels were far nicer than expected--especially the "lodge" atmosphere in the Shenandoah Mountains, & the historical property in Gettysburg. Also, mist meals were included & were far above standard! I have checked on trips through Affordable Tours since this trip & have always bee treated most kindly & friendly by all staff--certainly including Marianne. Although I have not been able to do another trip with Affordable Tours, when I do travel again it most definitely will be through this company. When we were booking our first trip, I checked with the Better Business Bureau in Texas to ensure that Affordable was a legitimate company. I was nervous about booking with a company over the telephone, but was pleasantly surprises by their customer service. I have experience in the travel industry as I worked for my parents' travel agency for 10 years and for other agencies as well. I don't know how Affordable is able to offer a lower rate than the tour company, but I'm not complaining of the savings. So I have been fortunate enough to use affordable tours twice. My,first trip was a 15,day tour of Europe. It was called a taste of,Europe. It was truly just that. 7 different countries at a great pace. Sandra was our agent both times and she was flawless. While it has been several years since I used Affordable Tours, I will always remember the stellar customer service we received when we booked a river cruise in Europe. Unfortunately the cruise was cancelled due to a volcanic eruption in Iceland grounding most flights to Europe. We were devastated. Henry, the agent we had been working with, quickly helped us by contacting the travel insurance company to file a claim. However, within a few days, Henry called me to see if we would be open to rescheduling our trip. He secured a cabin upgrade for us at a discount and was genuinely concerned that we felt taken care of. Our trip was a great success thanks to the detail our agent went to ensure all our needs were taken care of. The tours were to Europe, and the other packages were to Caribbean resorts. We always got good, complete, accurate information and service. The prices were typically better than others. They worked with us to find flight times that would work and be better priced, as well as review assorted tour companies. Very disappointed with the service. It started out good, but then Madonna and Miquel took over and it was not a good experience at all. Madonna would confuse us (maybe because some of us have same last name? Although NONE OF US HAVE SAME FIRST NAME!!!), and ask me about questions I had not asked. We would all REPEATEDLY get emails asking for information we had already sent. After just going directly to Insight vacations to input our information, we would ALL get an email from Affordable Tours threatening to not send us final documents due to missing info. Very distressing. We read our tour documents and understood that our airport transfer was covered. Yet Madonna kept saying NO, and that we had to pay an additional fee. MORE DISTRESS. Again we double checked and called Insight vacations and indeed our transfer was covered. It was very clear when reading the documents, don’t your agents do that????? WE WILL NEVER AGAIN USE AFFORDABLE TOURS!!!
