(Translated) Must do! Super well organized 2.5 hour boat trip. We visit the surroundings. The guide and captain tells the story of the fishery and provides a wealth of information on lobster. There is a fishing part, then a workshop on how to cook and peel lobster. All sprinkled with anecdotes and a touch of humor. The meal served is a freshly caught whole lobster and absolutely delicious (other choices are available). Truly a superb, comprehensive activity. (Original) À faire absolument ! Tour de bateau de 2h30 hyper bien organisé. On visite les environs. Le guide et capitaine raconte l'histoire de la pêche et donne une foule d'information sur le homard. Il y a une partie pêche, puis un atelier sur comment cuire et décortiquer le homard. Le tout parsemé d'anecdotes et d'une pointe d'humour. Le repas servi est un homard entier fraîchement pêché et absolument délicieux (d'autres choix sont offerts). Vraiment une superbe activité très complète.

Very disappointed in my experience with Croisières Shediac Bay Cruises. I called ahead to kindly ask if the tours were welcoming to assistance animals. This was a simple yes or no answer. I spoke to Denise Leblanc who responded to my inquiry in a very unfriendly way, suspicious of me lying and unsure if my assistance animal was valid or what their policy was on service animals. She reluctantly asked me to send an email with the appropriate documents. I sent the email right away and she did not reply. I sent a follow up email to ask if she'd received it and she answered saying: "we will have to refuse the dog on board for safety reason and insurance policy. We are sorry about this but we need to be sure of safety on the boat." When I asked if she could provide documentation on why a small assistance animal (6lb trained dog) was a safety hazard and to include the clauses on her insurance policy she simply did not reply. For those considering booking who have unique needs I do not recommend this company. They appear to be discriminatory and rude, and went out of their way to waste my time when knowing full well they were planning to reject my request. I recommend steering clear of this company as they need to learn how to respectfully deal with members of the general public. If I could give zero stars I would.

I highly recommend doing the Lobster Tale cruise. It’s very well organized and entertaining. Captain Ron teaches about the sustainability of lobster fishing as well as how to eat it. Everyone is served their own lobster and you won’t leave hungry! Shediac Bay is a beautiful area and I’d recommend going for a walk along Parlee Beach afterwards to watch the sunset.

If you don't do anything else in Shediac, do the Lobster Tales trip. Ron's commentary is funny and educational, the boat is comfortable, and from what I researched, you can't get a lobster dinner cheaper in a land-based restaurant. Can't comment on the vegetarian lasagna, but my son and daughter had the barbecued chicken option, and not only was it good, it was huge!

Took a nice cruise with Shediac Bay Cruises yesterday and absolutely loved it. The boat was huge and we weren't overcrowded. The price is quite reasonable and surprisingly inexpensive for the value and length of the trip. The captain was a real professional and took the time to provide some historical context. They even have a full bar. :) Definitely recommend this.

It is also very educational as we learned about lobster 101 and how to crack a lobster open, remove the meat from the claws, tail, body etc.. and eat very single part of it. What a character of a captain! The fresh lobster was the best we have ever had served the Acadian way. Ron was a close second as a highlight. Very funny and made the trip entertaining. Gets everyone involved and we learned a lot about the lobster industry and how to properly prepare and eat a lobster. If you are lucky enough to get screeched it’s worth the lobster kiss. We did the LobsterTales tour and it was the best! Captain Ron is hilarious and keeps the whole boat entertained. The lobster dinner was delicious. 10/10 would recommend.
