I went there Saturday june 13 2020 around 2 o'clock and rented a 2020 Ford f150 with 1200 kms on it and was told after paying for it the truck was immaculate shape he didn't even do a walk around of the vehicle with me or start it to check for and issues in which he would have seen the problem ..red flag...the truck had scratches on it I went back inside and told him to come out he said oh those are ok we rent them out as work trucks to ....I then said ok but needed you to know it was scratched up I then left from moncton for saint john with my brother to head to my dad's in saint john so about 2 hours after having the vehicle I took a video of the tire pressures and all were different and the back drivers side had 8 pounds in it so I pumped it up and dropped truck off and only had it a total of 6 hours and they are trying to make me pay for a tire that was losing air from the beginning

I made a reservation for an intermediate car one week in advance of pickup online for 10 am. I showed up at 9:50am and NO vehicles in lot. Doug the manager says it will be 10 minutes late, 20 minutes later a mini van pulls in, he state that's your car. I state its a van, he states thats the best he can do. I was beyond dissatisfied and customer care isn't so, they DONT care at all. This establishment must be where the underachievers seek employment.

As a weekly Avis Preferred Plus renter I was taken back by the inconsistency of the service level provided at this location versus other Avis locations I have visited throughout Eastern and Western Canada. When I arrived for my first rental experience I was not offered the one vehicle class upgrade (vehicles were available) as entitled being a Preferred Plus client. The agent said any upgrades are an additional cost of nearly double my daily rate.. After referencing this policy on their website and still nothing I gave up and took the pre-assigned car.. I walked through the unkept lot in shin deep snow to make it to my white Chevrolet Impala .. after clearing the vehicle free of snow and scraping the ice off the windshield (this was an existing reservation of which I showed up on time for by the way) I then embarked on my journey to Halifax, NS - As I pulled out I noticed the vehicle had only HALF A TANK OF FUEL! When I called he said "Oh sorry, so you can either go fill it and bring me the receipt or I will knock $40 off your rental for the half tank", for the sake of time I opted for the adjustment to my bill. I returned my rental that Saturday approximately 20 minutes after this location closed, dropped my key in the drop box and took a taxi home at my expense. The next day I got a push notification on my phone that my vehicle had been checked in and moments later an e-receipt to my email account. I was floored when I seen the bill... not only did this location NOT reimburse me for the missing half tank of fuel but charged me for a full extra day!!! Luckily I noticed this and called to have it fixed... I hate to rent with anyone else from Avis as they've been so good to me for the last couple of years at other locations... but this has definitely been my worst Avis experience to date! Quite honestly I think it was the arrogance of Mr. Avis standing behind the counter that seems to think he can dictate Avis Corps. policies and procedures as he see's fit.. UPDATE: Upon voicing this to Avis Head-Office they have acknowledged this issue and advised me to pull up the website on my phone to show the agent the free upgrade (when available) that is to be offered to all Preferred Plus clients. They have also issued me a $50US rental coupon which was much appreciated!!

Car was ready even though I showed up pearly, in and out in minutes. Perhaps could have been vacuumed a bit better but didn't really bother me.

(Translated) Worst vehicle rental experience ... costs over $ 460 when renting in costa rica .. I had insurance with my world elite credit card and they did everything to refuse them and get paid on full price ... not to mention the costumers service .. we had a flat tire, replacing the tire is not a problem but no answer as to whether I should fix it before returning .. in short, trust them! (Original) La pire expérience de location de véhicule ... frais de plus de 460 $ lors de la location au costa rica .. j'avais des assurances avec ma carte de credit world elite et il on tout fait pour les refuser et me faire payée le plein prix ... sans parlé du costumers service .. nous avons eu une crevaison , remplacer le pneu n'est pas un problème mais aucune réponse pour savoir si je dois le réparer avant le retour .. bref dont trust them !

Rented a 2016 Chevrolet Cruze yesterday night, worked a 14hrs shift today only to find a flay on car and road assistance will be here in 1 hrs. 90$ for mechanical issues FUNN

Rented a car in Fredericton that was filthy. At least the lady at the counter tried to wipe it clean and deodorize it. The smell got so bad and the service light came on so we decided to detour to Moncton and exchange the car. Spoke to Doug at the Main Street location and he was completely unhelpful. After looking at two cars that were also filthy, we just took one and went to Canadian tire to buy supplies and clean it ourselves. It was also not full of gas. After speaking to a customer service manager, she said there was nothing they could do except offer me a $50 coupon for the next rental. That’s not customer service. At the very least I would have expected them to reimburse me for the cost of the cleaning supplies and gas for the detour. Will not rent with Avis again as a result of their “customer service”. They should try to fix the current experience rather than try to manage a future one.

Not used to having a good experience with rental cars however this time was great. Got a nice Hyundai Sonata, clean and with a full tank. Dealt with the same person from start to finish, Doug, and did not have any troubles. I was treated with respect and appreciated how timely they were.

responsive guys. moderate pricing. fair fuel policy. The first car I've rented smelled with gas inside - got it replaced in a few minutes with another one. 4 stars instead of 5 - for smell of a gas inside and for not so fast car pickup (comparing to Hertz, as an example). Surely will rent here again.
