I did my open water, advance and rescue dive courses here. Anyone looking for their dive certification I would highly recommend doing your homework on the operator before hand. These guys should be top of your list!

I did my diving certification here last year and it was a great experience. Very professional team and access to a nearby quarry so we could get certified close to home. Would highly recommend them if you are looking to get into scuba diving or if you want to connect with a local scuba community.

I never write reviews, but when you meet an owner like this it leaves you no options. DO NOT EVER COME TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT!!!! I would drive to Mexico to rent or buy gear before I gave this joke of a company a cent.

I've received some bad help in my day, but my god when I ask for an air and I get tri-mix I mean come on what kind of rinky dinky operation is this. I wouldnt reccomend this place if it was the last dive shop in the area. Very unprofessional and rude no matter what the owner deals with before you talk with him.

Our instructor did a great job of teaching us, and we receive great advice and service from Bruce every time we go in. Bruce seems to really care that we have what we need and are outfitted with the right gear. Can't recommend Groundhog Divers enough.

After deciding to finally get certified I did some research for local dive shops. They all looked great but I decided to go with Groundhog Divers mainly because they have their own pool and regular access to a local quarry for diving. I’m a shift worker but they accommodated my schedule to complete my training dives. Very flexible! Bruce, Yvonne, and all the instructors are all very professional, courteous, friendly and knowledgeable. They really made my transition into diving safe, fun, and easy. A pleasure to deal with!

I’ve been into groundhog divers a few times in the KW area and each time has been the same. Rude owner, almost feels like an interrogation for scuba diving. It is a decent equipment retail store, but the personality has turned me away for future purchases.

Bruce and his team trained my entire family to dive and arranged our family dive trip to Cozumel. His facility in Kitchener allowed for us to gradually get comfortable diving in a stress free environment. We had an amazing time. I would highly recommend them.

My wife and I have been regular customers for the last 10 years. We find the store and the staff to be very reliable with a reasonable turn around time on things like air fills and tank/gear servicing. We have purchased quite a few items over the years; tanks, regulators, accessories, and a brand new custom fit drysuit for my wife that was at a good price point and made up and ready for pickup within only a few weeks. Staff are always quick to provide advice and information in order to make sure you're getting the right product. We also had the privilege of completing our drysuit course through Groundhog Divers. The onsite pool was incredibly convenient and meant we could take our time getting the feel of things. The open water portion went smoothly and the instructor was very professional and had a lot of skill and wisdom to pass on. Overall, if you're looking for a dive shop that can do it all (gear, servicing and training), you can be confident that Groundhog Divers will be able to take care of your needs. Edit: I would also like to add that my (and my wife's) experience diving with other members of the Groundhog Divers community has been a pleasant and enjoyable experience. Everyone has been friendly and welcoming and ready to offer up ideas and advice (especially some of the well-seasoned highly trained guys/gals) to make cold water diving in our local Great Lakes Region more enjoyable!

Who ever I spoke to on the phone was extremely rude and very unprofessional when I was asking questions about local dive sites. If they act like this In the store I couldn't imagine trusting someone like that with my life under the water. I am an PADI instructor and have worked In dive shops around the world and have never experienced customer service as bad as this.

I had an issue with my Mares Icon HD Net ready dive computer. I had contacted Mares and was told to send it back to them for possible warranty coverage or take it to the nearest Mares dealer but it may not be covered by warranty.Ground Hog Divers was that dealer closest to me. Although I didn't purchase the unit there and didn't have time to return it to Mares as I was diving that week. Bruce repaired my computer in one day and didn't charge anything for the repair. not for parts, not for his time. Great customer service and I'll be back for sure.
