Scammer at worst, incompetent at best. When we got to the hotel, there was no reservation for two people, no smoking, one pet. They were on the phone with the hotel and were not polite. In a follow up, they decided they were going to keep $14.99 and refund the rest, but later I got an email saying that would not refund a penny. I had to make a chargeback on my credit card who is currently investigating it. Stay away from them.

Buyer beware! USE BOOKINGS.COM INSTEAD of reservations.com!! I booked the same Holiday Inn Resort for the same week on both Bookings.com and Reservations.com. Both said no cancellation fee if cancel before a certain date. I needed to cancel the rooms over a month before our reservation date, weeks before the cancellation deadline. It was super simple on bookings.com. I simply went to their website, entered my reservation #, and hit "cancel", done! I immediately received a confirmation email that I would be receiving a full refund and there was no cancellation fee. I then went to the reservations.com website, could not find a way to cancel, so used their "chat" option. The chat person said they could not help, so I had to call the reservations.com. I called and the rep said their was a 1 night cancellation fee of $400 even though their cancellation policy on their site said there was a cancellation fee of 1 night if not cancelled by July 20th (it was mid June and a full 4+ weeks before this deadline). I went back and forth with her, then asked to drop the reservation down to just the 1 night and cancel the other days to avoid the cancellation fee. She said she could not modify the reservation to less nights, and only cancel it and charge me the fee. Ridiculous! I asked to speak to a supervisor. The queue for talking to a supervisor was so long she had to take my phone # and said they would call me within 24hrs. It has been over over 36hrs. and still no call. I even tried calling the resort to modify my reservation, but they said they could not do anything because I booked through reservations.com. I hope this review helps others not lose $400 on a cancellation fee like I did for such shady practices, although I do plan to dispute the charge with my credit card company. USE BOOKINGS.COM INSTEAD! I got better pricing from them and had a much easier cancellation experience with a full refund.

Worst company ever to book through. The site says all in CAD and they charged us in USD and then would not refund us once we made the reservation so we paid $200.00 for $100 room. They also add service fees as well, so do yourself a fovor and just call the hotel directly so you don't get ripped off. TRUST ME! Even the hotels themselves will tell you! DON'T USE A BOOKING SITE! and if you have to use one keep this one as far away as possible. Unless you don't like your money, then spend away.

Their ad came up first when searching for a specific hotel, so I mistakenly called them to book a room. Only while reviewing the confirmation email did I realize that a $14.99 service fee had been added and that the room is nonrefundable. I want everyone to know that this is a rip-off!

Reservation agent blatantly lied - looked at several hotels and rooms to find a pet friendly one, kept saying they had sold out and continued to offer more and more expensive rooms. Finally took one, which he also said was non-smoking. We got to the hotel and were told we had booked a smoking room and that no pets were allowed in any rooms in the hotel, so the cat had to sleep in the car. The manager of the hotel gave us a non-smoking room instead, which we had to pay for. It was $34 cheaper, meaning the rep had made a commission or something like that. The hotel manager said we should call the reservations agent to cancel the reservation and be refunded, so that we would not be charged for two rooms, and after an hour and a half on the phone, and after they spoke to him as well, the the rep told me expressly that I would be refunded. A couple days later I got an email from the reservations company saying that they would consider giving me a refund and would get back to me in 7-10 business days, but that they probably would not because they have a no cancellation policy that I had to agree to to book the room, and they asked for any documents I had to "support my case." When they did get back to me, they decided to give me a refund, minus an unspecified cancellation fee, and said I would get it in 10-15 business days.

Do NOT book with this company. It is simply a scam. They took $253 from me for 2 nites at a hotel. It seemed fishy so I called the hotel and find out that didn’t even cover half my stay and they don’t even have rooms like the size described in my booking. This was only 20 mins after booking with this company. I immediately called them and explained that I wanted a refund since it did not provide me with a room and I do not have a place to stay. And all they do is tell you repeatedly that they do not provide refunds under any circumstances. They do not listen or respond to what you’re actually saying. (It’s quite the scam process they have going on). So, I’m out the $253 and have no hotel room. They just took the money. I’m planning to report as fraud to my credit card company but have to wait until the transaction completes posting.

I was trying to find the "official" site for Fairfield/Marriott properties in Google, and of course 100 links for hotel reservations surfaced. I thought "reservations.com" was the official link (as it was listed under the hotel name), and made a reservation for $99 for one of our business associates coming into town. Imagine my surprise when I was charged $19.99 (20%) as a service fee. GRRR. It's also non-refundable. This hotel is only five minutes from my home. I feel foolish and angry. Rest assured, I will AVOID reservations.com in the future. UPDATE 4/29/2021 - Reservations.com has refunded the $19.99 service charge on my one night hotel reservation. I think that is very nice of them. Thanks - I appreciate it!

Very mis-leading, attempted to place reservation on hotels website, only to find it was not, and after $42 in taxes and fee's for a $140 charge; and what are fee's, and then another $19.99 non refundable service fee. Cancelled reservation, called hotel direct and saved $50 -- they would not budge on refunding the $19.99. NEVER AGAIN - I'M TELLING EVERYONE.

The policy says no longer wait time of 5 min to get a live agent on the phone. Not only was I able to get through right away to make a reservation, but God for bid you want to cancel because I was on hold for 43 min, and then was hung up on when they finally picked up the phone . Finally got an agent on the phone only to be placed o hold again and again and again. Long story short I now have ton pay a service fee of 19.99 to cancel in spite of the horrible service received. I will never use them again and I would suggest the same for anyone booking a hotel. It's less to go directly to hotel site. I repeat I will never use this company again.

My mother was trying to book a reservation directly, but the gentleman said no he would take care of it. That she could not talk to the hotel. He set up a reservation at the wrong place. Contacted them to let them know. Charged her card and would not give her money back or even a credit. She was out $800 plus she had to spend another $800 to stay in the right place. This website is awful. They also take advantage of the elderly. DO NOT BOOK with these people. We filed a complaint with the BBB.

Made a mistake and assumed I was calling the hotel and making reservations through them. The web site makes it appear as if your using the hotel site. My reservation was made, but they added a 15 dollar service fee and the reservation is non refundable. I called back and verified that their deal was inferior to the hotels. They did not deny that it was not as good. Unfortunately there is nothing I can do, as it is non refundable. This site is a SCAM. I will never use it again and advise everyone to avoid it as well.

DO NOT USE RESERVATIONS.COM Went online to book a Hyatt hotel. Was doing it quickly. Well, silly me, didn't note that this was a third party site. It kind of looked like I was going to the Hyatt site. I went and booked only to realize that it was this other site. Difference in cost between reservations.com and Hyatt was nearly $130 (see picture). Same room, same conditions. I cancelled (with some difficulty) and rebooked but they keep $20 for their trouble and say I may not see my refund for 30 days. Not happy at all.

DO NOT EVER BOOK THROUGH THIS COMPANY! I was a quoted a certain price for a hotel room, and was not told in advance of the $50 in service fees. I was not made aware of this until after I clicked submit on my reservation and an entirely new amount was charged to my card. I immediately called their customer service hotline, which was a joke. Even calling within seconds, they refused to cancel my reservation or refund me. Every customer service representative I encountered was rude and not helpful. This company is a perfect example of what POOR customer service looks like. I will never use them again.

I booked a room with them thinking it was the hotels website because it looked the exact same. The room said it was $160 per night, ok not bad. After booking I didn't look at the total cause I assumed I would be charged the standard tax rate and fees. I MESSED UP!! They charged me and Extra $282.54 tax and service fee plus $14.99 for a single person booking(5 Night Stay). This averaged my room cost to be $230 per night!! After contacting to fix, HORRIBLE Customer Service!! I looked up other 3rd Party bookings and I would have only been charged $70 compared to $28.54 plus $14.99 STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I accidentally got directed to this website instead of the hotel's home page. I booked a room without realizing I was using a 3rd party. I called IMMEDIATELY after confirming when I saw the 15.00 service fee, which is outrageous, and they would not offer to refund any of my money due to the no-cancellation terms. I understand I should have been more aware, but reputable businesses don't hesitate to help correct customer mistakes, especially when there's no real loss on their part. Booked a hotel room and they charged my card plus $19.99 reservation fee immediately. I thought I had booked directly with the hotel. Cancelled my reservation the next day when I realized I booked through reservations.com. They refunded the charge after a few days but did not refund the fee. Their rate was 25% higher than the rate I got when I booked directly with the hotel. Lesson learned: make sure when searching for a hotel, the hotel name is not followed by reservations.com. Skip the first few advertised search result and go down the list to find the direct link to the hotel.

This is by far the best restaurant I have been to in a couple of years. My friends brought me here for my birthday the other day and it made me so happy. The restaurant is pretty cramped; probably holds only 40 or 50 people and everyone is squished together. This also makes it hard to hear each other but somehow doesn't stop it from being cosy and romantic.

horrible customer service. My employee booked a room for a seminar and when he got to the hotel he was told there was no room reservation for him. This company so far has refused to refund the reservation fee. If you need customer service good luck getting anyone who speaks decent English.

Terrible company. Rude and probably a scam. They take your money and book through expedia. If you have a problem you have to wait for 30 minutes and give your info to three different people who insist on bringing in a third party to record your personal and credit card info. Expedia does not condone their activities. Shame on google for allowing this site to come up. Oh when I told the supervisor (manager was unavailable) that he didnt need more than my name, address, and last four of my credit card, he refused to take my reservation number to look it up unless he was allowed to record my full CC number with expiration date and CCV. Beware when you are looking for a hotel online. I was booking a room online at a local hotel's website for my son and his family who were visiting me for New Years. I booked the room and after I my credit card was charged my confirmation said Non refundable. I realized I was no longer on the local hotel website but was on Reservations.com. I immediately called Reservations.com and told them due to the Pandemic, I was not comfortable with a no refundable reservation. They said they could not reverse the charges or change the reservation to refundable. They offered to send an email to management and would notify me in 7-10 if they would credit my account. I DID NOT WANT TO CANCEL All I wanted was the room to be refundable up to 48 hours like most hotels offer. The rate Reservations.com was actually the same as the rate on the local hotel website. Reservation.com recommended Howard Johnson by Wyndham in Newburgh,NY. That was so Disgusting that made us leave to go to another hotel. Reservation.com gets a kick back when you make reservations with them, so you’re paying more that what the hotel actually cost. And then they did not want to give us our monies back neither. Called them four times to see if we could get our monies back, spoke to a supervisor and he said we would get our monies back in 5-7 days, through PayPal which I still haven’t received yet. Make sure you go directly through the hotel.

I made reservation through this website . I was somehow directed to reservation.com when I was actually just trying to reserve through the hotel. Either way the website has a fraudulent system to calculate taxes and fees. Same room same rate on the hotel website the taxes and fees were $ 88.92 but on reservations.com I got charged $184.14 + 19.99 for the service and fee of reservation.com. There is a $95.22 Taxes and Fee difference??? I called reservation.com immediately after reserving when I realized that the amount was different. They simply tell me taxes and fees are automatically calculated.. Yes ! but they are incorrect? that's a standard charge by the governing agency for all. You cant create your own charges? Also, I called about 10X before I was able to get someone on the phone. Be careful when booking with this company. I almost see no point to use them. They are not accommodating don't answer phones and clearly their system is not working properly!!

If I could give zero stars, I would. My room was $109, but my total was $157. So, that’s. $46 in fees and taxes to stay at a Hampton Inn, which includes a 19.99 fee that goes straight to reservations.com. Unfortunately, I was slipping and they got me and they would not let me cancel with refund even though I called right back and the salesperson never stated that the room was not refundable. They presented their website as if I were calling Hampton Inn directly. The customer service representatives were rude and a little proud of their ability to be shady. Don’t get bamboozled like I did. It’s a really shady way to do business.

They fail to e-mail hotel invoices and cannot provide back-up for the fees. If you review them online, you will see this is common practice for this group. How did that happen? I Tried to modify the reservation and of course spoke with a person who was not fluent in English and she said the reservation would stand. I do not understand how companies like this stay in business. So, we lost our payment. Never book with this company. Go directly to the website of the hotel and book....and it's less expensive. This company is very deceiving, I tried to book a hotel and I could not get it to accept my dates for reservation, it kept taking me back to the month prior, thought I had it set and hit reserve, got an instant email, noticed the date was wrong, called immediately and they will not change the date. Never, ever use this company or any other Expedia affiliate. We also thought we were booking directly with the hotel. We later learned that reservations.com pays to be the first search result and the hotel is unable to get it changed unless reservations.com chooses not to renew. In our case, we were charged for several nights, instead of the single night we actually stayed. Reservations.com and Expedia basically played ping pong with my dispute, despite assistance from the hotel. Reservations.com appears to have no live customer service, chat only, and the wait to speak with a human at Expedia is hours long. There is even a wait to chat with a virtual agent. Don't bother in the event of a improper charge. Just cut to the chase, and dispute the charge with your credit card issuer. The term "Kafkaesque" is overused, but an apt description of the Expedia experience.

AVOID! This is what happened to me. I used this website to book a hotel stay, not because of the price but because they showed availability while others didn't. The hotel had several limitations and restrictions that were not informed at the moment of the booking, neither at its own website. At some point I decided to leave the hotel before the end of my stay. The hotel apologized, recognized the problem and did not charge for the unused nights. They didn't charge Reservations.com, but the website has refused to return my money. This company scams you! I made a reservation for one night at a Santa Fe, NM hotel for an advertised price. When I pushed the pay button, it charged me almost $100 more. I can immediately called to cancel and the service rep informed me that it was non-refundable. I immediately called the hotel and explained the situation who said that they would be happy to refund my money and to let Reservations.com know. I called them again and they refused. I escalated to their billing devices department and just got a notice they they refused. This company stole almost $300 from me for a hotel room I did not use!! I called to have my reservation held until my quarantine was up. I was told that wasn't an option. I will say that I booked a non refundable room. Which is why I was hoping I could just be credited for a later stay. After that was rejected I asked for a full refund. I was asked to send in my covid results and I did. I have gotten nothing but one email after another telling me they are looking into it please continue to wait. It's been over a month. No one will help or assist. Customer Support says they cant help it has to be handled through finance. Finance doesn't have a number and can only be reached through email. Which is getting me nowhere. Taking your money they can do. Helping you they cant do. I even waited until I was cleared to travel and booked with them even though they hadn't yet refunded my other reservations. I have used this website twice, once you make a reservation and you need to change it or cancel they will not let you, they say that they have a no refund and no changes on reservation policy.this is there policy, stay away or make sure you read the non refundable policy and no changes, it was just one night that I wanted to change ,and they said no! They start off saying that they will do everything they can, I haven't even told her what change I wanted she stated there non refund policy, i wasn't looking for a refund I just wanted to change the day . Plus they charge 14.00 to use there services. Things happen that you have no control over this no refund policy to me is not fair, the hotels that use this company will pay the consequences as well. Deal with the hotel directly you will be better off, they charge a service fee if you use them, ALL of them different name same policy. I just learned that they were taken to court in 2018 for inflatable fees without disclosing to the consumers, the 14.00 fee that I was charged, guess they did not learn because there still charging fees, I was not told of this fee and it is not disclosed.

So, I had a problem. Somehow the right hotel but in the wrong city was reserved. Reservations web site says no refunds are allowed once you agree and buy the reservation. In my case it was more than $1200. It was so upsetting. I called and reported the mistake. Reservations investigated and in a day had my refund ready and sent to my credit card. Just a SCAM organization.....Made a reservation on line. Did not receive an email to confirm the reservation or other information regarding my reservation (I input the incorrect address, so this was my error). Nonetheless, I was nervous about there reservation, I called. It took about 45-60 minutes to talk with someone there to requested a refund,. I ended up talking to the supervisor in Manila. He told me there was a $30 hotel cancellation fee and would refund all but that amount. I pushed further and he offered an additional $19.99 refund. Tho I thought that was odd, I said ok. Checking my credit card statement, I noticed that they initially charged me the full amount of the hotel reservation PLUS $19.99 for making the reservation. That information was not disclosed when I made the initial reservation. So, I was SCAMMED, MISINFORMED with their on line process.... Clearly , for me, these people, living in a different country, have no business savvy on how to get and keep customers. Kind of like a car salesman, I've got your money , now get outta here and leave me alone! Yes, I would STRONGLY recommend booking directly with the hotel!! check URL and the web page when you are making hotel reservations. I was unknowingly ended up on this site and at the end of check out screen, it will show fees of $19.99 and only when you place your curser over, it will say non refundable. Your hotel might have full refund policy but not this site. only service they are offering is to up charge you more for the same stay, charge you service fee and has limited options. The best bet is to go directly to the hotel web site but also check to make sure you are on correct URL or hotel web site, not a 3rd party scammers like this company. Tried to cancel 1 hour after booking realizing I booked in USD. Phoned the hotel because reservations.com policy was non-refundable and the hotel said there was 24hour period where a third party could cancel. I called reservations.com immediately and they said it would take 7-10 business days to get back to me. This website is a joke, I got triple charged and was informed that the reservation did not go though, asked for them to cancel the transactions and after being on the phone for over an hour and transferred from one person to another to just tell me there's nothing they can do, for me to wait until the money goes back into my account. Total scam! I booked a hotel and when I got there, I found they booked the other hotel in that city and also they charged me 80$ more than hotel's price. The worst customer service! When I called they said it is nonrefundable and can not pay my money back. Even they did not try to change my hotel. They ruined my money, time and travel. The worst on line booking experience!

Very misleading company. Avoid them. Call center acts like it's the hotel chain. I booked a $107 room and the charge was $140. I didn't let that sink in until after they booked it. Then when I questioned it they said it was the room and tax. When I questioned that tax rate they were evasive, but I eventually got them to admit there was a $15 booking fee. They would not let me cancel and when I asked to speak to a supervisor, the agent disconnected the call.

l came across this website on my mobile phone, while i was driving and wanted the room on I-75. called the reservation desk and i was able to get the room same day, great easy service, agent was nice enough to take time to find the room on the exit i wanted. i recommend this site.

This company is THE MOST DECEITFUL AND MISLEADING company I have ever dealt with. I went online to make a hotel reservation, I clicked on the hotel, had no idea at all I was on reservation.com because the website is designed to look just like the hotel website. I got the room I wanted and wanted to confirm, however the page never showed me a breakdown of fees. The cost of the room was $139.00, I clicked on that and the next thing I know, I get a screen saying that my transaction was complete. I did not know the total until I got a confirmation email- the total I ended up paying was $193.02!!!! I immediately called the customer service number (which was on the email I received) to tell them to cancel the transaction and ask why I was never given a breakdown of fees prior to the site confirming the reservation. I was sent a breakdown of fees in an email, the sales tax was DOUBLE what the actual hotel charged in sales tax. I asked how that is possible, they said that they have to charge a third party tax. WHY WOULD ANYONE USE THIS WEBSITE??? Of course when I told the useless customer service representative I wanted to cancel my reservation, she informed me that all of their transactions are nonrefundable. Of course they are, this is what thieves do! My friend booked at the actual hotel website and only paid $150.00 total!!!! I'm not sure how this company gets away with this. They make their website look just like the hotel website so you have no idea that you're about to get screwed out of money. I couldn't continue with this review without giving it a rating. That is the ONLY REASON that there is one star rating!!!! BEWARE OF THEIR UNDERHANDED TACTICS

What a scam this company is. They posted a rate. Do not disclose that is non-refundable. Then in the email confirmation in big letters says non-refundable. I called immediately to cancel. I took screenshots of every step. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

Please be very cautious using this site. Due to a system glitch on their site, the date was changed from original date put in. Although it showed the correct date on the final check out step, when the confirmation arrived the incorrect date was listed. Within 1 minute of receiving the email confirmation, I called the customer service to the report problem. They gave me the runaround, telling me within a few days I would hear from them about a refund. I was informed they needed to look into the problem. In the end although they said it was a system glitch there was no refund and I lost the cost of the room booked. Although I called to speak to a representative, to follow up, I was informed that they would not refund any of the money and that was that. This site often pops up on the hotel website, you may think that it is the hotel reservation system you are booking with but please call hotel directly. This is not a site or company you want to deal with.
