Very very helpful. Didn't have passport with me but they worked with me to ensure that I got on the flight anyways. Also very easy to book flight last minute. (Only downside is that flights are rather expensive bc locations are to obscure locations) but overall GREAT PRODUCT AND VERY PLEASANT EXPERIENCE

Booked a Seattle seaplane tour with these guys, a day before my flight they called and said the time slot I booked is unavailable and asked if they can move me to another flight 2 hours after my original schedule. That wasn't a problem at all to me so I said sure no problem. What they said next amazed me, "sorry for the inconvenience, we'll offer this flight to you for FREE ". Yes, free, I didn't pay a dime. Outstanding customer service!

We took the ride along flight for a couple hours with two stops. We flew in the beaver and had an amazing experience. Easy boarding and great take offs and landings on our flights. This is a must do for people who have an afternoon free in the Seattle area and want to do something off the beaten path with lasting memories.

I flew from Victoria to Seattle round-trip. It was a very special experience and very affordable, all considered. The pilots were great and all the staff very friendly and helpful. I think it's worth a warning, though, for those sensitive to chemicals. I smelled gasoline fumes the whole way to Seattle and it put a bit of a damper on the experience, especially as I was already recovering from a reaction to oven cleaner. Going back there was no odor so not sure what happened. I had the air vents on both trips.

I love flying Kenmore Air. Recently, we flew from Lake Washington to Victoria, BC. Although we have flown with them many times before, it’s just plan fun and worth the price of admission to take off from water, fly at low altitude and land in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Victoria Harbour. As we deplaned we were literally just steps away from our host’s boat. On the return trip our friends had moved and were now moored At Roche Harbor Resort on San Juan Island, Wa. When it was time to leave we stepped from the boat and walked to the end of the dock. Within a few minutes Kenmore Air landed and taxied into their tie-up area. A few minutes later we’re accelerating across the water of the Harbor as we takeoff en route to Lake Union; next door to downtown Seattle. When we land a shuttle is waiting to whisk us away to Sea-Tac Airport for our flight home to California. An incredible trip where Kenmore made the travel so convenient and uncomplicated! They are wonderful to work with. You might consider a romantic 2 night getaway surprise for your honey. It’s easy as pie! Trust me, you will be rewarded!

Scheduled a 20 minute seaplane trip for my wife’s birthday on 7/29. 2 minutes after checking in, our flight is cancelled. I was in the bathroom, but my son heard them tell a family it was because of too much boat traffic. However, I overheard a phone call to cancel the following flight and they were told it was due to mechanical issues. Either way, it’s a bad deal since we Uber’d across Seattle for it and we had no advanced notice. No clouds. Minimal wind. Seemed like the perfect day to be flying.

Took an Otter out to the San Juans and back. It's an amazing experience flying low over the Sound the entire way, and the San Juans are beautiful from the air. I didn't spot any whales this time, but I have to imagine you can see some pretty easily from the float plane.

I love Kenmore Air. Flown with them 6 times to and from Friday Harbor and Seattle Boeing Field or Lake Union. Their staff are great. I have been delayed twice due to winter weather but that is to be expected in this area with small planes. No pretzels but a great view!

Last week we flew from Vancouver to Seattle and it was amazing. Fast, convenient, and really really nice overall. The pilot was really friendly, the staff was great, the lounge was nice. I was ready to commit to only travel to Seattle by Seaplane from now on... But...yesterday when we were supposed to go home, our flight got cancelled due to fog. I'm not complaining about the cancelled flight, I understand Kenmore doesn't control the weather and safety first and all. But Kenmore should have alternative transportation ready given how frequently we have fog here. If weather stops a flight from going, maybe offer money back and a shuttle for $100 or something. Kenmore would probably still make money on that and we'd have a faster, cheaper and more convenient way home than what we ended up having to take to get home. For now I'm back on normal planes and busses unfortunately, simply because of their better reliability...

Our pilot out to SanJuan was fantastic. The weather was threatening to rain but only did so in one of the stops. Keep in mind the schedules are pretty loose and depend on how many stops you have to make. Don't plan too tightly around them. I made dinner reservations in Friday Harbor based on the landing time posted. It all worked out fine, but I would give myself more time next time.

Came to Seattle for a wedding and booked 2 R/T flights to Victoria.Due to smoke and fires from Vancouver, it was best for me to cancel.The staff from start to finish were professional,helpful and hassle free. I received a full refund without pause or delay. A couple days into my trip, things cleared and Seattle experienced an Amazing clear crisp day.I called about the scenic flight tour around Seattle.As a private pilot I just really, REALLY wanted to check out that SEAPLANE ! Well, I am sooooo glad I did ! Value for money BEST DAY EVER ! It was fantastic, informative and amazing. If you have the chance to GO , do it !

Several years back, my wife and I went on a site seeing flight around northern Washington in a Kenmore Air Turbine Otter. We had a great time. The views were beautiful. The pilot and staff were helpful and professional. Being able to experience the seaplane takeoff and landing was a great memory for airplane nuts like us. If we're in the area again, I would love to go on another tour in one of the Beavers with the radial engine. What a great airplane.

My first time flying Kenmore was a pickup from Lagoon Cove back to Seattle at the end of the summer (Sep 7). As it happened, I was the only passenger in a large plane (a de Haviland), so we skipped the stop in Nanaimo and I enjoyed a private "limousine" flight with an extremely capable pilot. They didn't make any money on this flight, but they didn't leave me stranded. What a fantastic experience it was to see rugged Vancouver Island and the Pacific coast of Canada from the air, and then fly over Puget Sound back to Lake Washington. Even though it was fairly cloudy, we flew low and the views were spectacular. Looking forward to my next flight.

Recently did a round trip weekend to Victoria with my girlfriend. We took a piston Beaver there and a turbo Otter back. This is what air travel should be like. It was easy to check in, the boarding process was quick, and it seemed like an adventure. The airplanes seem to be well kept also. The only downside (if you are not a fan of flying) is it can get a bit bumpy at times since you're much lower in altitude and in smaller planes. I would definitely do this again.

Did the 20min aerial tour above Seattle and its vicinity and the pilot narrated the whole trip. Views along the way are incredible

After a one month stay in Seattle, Kenmore's scenic tour was the perfect ending to a wonderful trip. Tommy, my pilot, was super friendly and knowledgeable about the different attractions we would see on the flight (plus he let me sit co-pilot). Personal favorites include flying over Bellevue, UW, Ballard Marina, and adjacent to the Space Needle. Would definitely come again in the summer and book a longer flight with Kenmore!

Love this airline. Flown them between Seattle and the San Juan’s (Orcas Island) several times over the last 10 years, so hassle free. The way flying used to be. They appreciate you as a customer. The view between Seattle and the San Juan’s is worth the flight alone, but also not dealing with the ferry, and the drive, my last flight I made it from Orcas to Seattle in 45 minutes.

Update: It's interesting to see the response below from the company. I was told when I called the customer service line that Kenmore's entire computer system was down and this is the reason they could not arrange my travel on the Clipper as they usually do in circumstances such as these when they cannot fly. I was also told that they get a group rate that is cheaper on the Clipper by the first customer service person, and then the manager (in a terse tone) kept asking whether I wanted a refund on the flight instead of admitting that if I did it this way I would be paying more to the Clipper than if I waited until their system was back up and they arrange this and reimburse me the difference. This manager was not very understanding that I would want to not pay more than I should otherwise had their computer system been operating. In the response it appears that they are blaming the cancellation of the flight on US Customs when in the terminal they blamed it on Canadian customs not letting their plane take off. They are sure to say that it was a Microsoft issue too. If you read other negative reviews here and on TripAdvisor you'll see that when it comes to cancellations, Kenmore's customer service does not take responsibility and compensate their customers accordingly. It seems that Kenmore should take this up with Microsoft rather than point a series of different fingers in an attempt to point to "circumstances outside of their control" and get off the hook with their customers. I regularly travel between Victoria and Seattle as my husband and I live in these respective cities. Twice we've had appalling service with Kenmore Air. Today I was scheduled on the 9am flight from Victoria to Seattle. I checked in at 8am before their 8:15am cutoff. At this time their computer system was down. We got updates that they were working on the problem. At 9am we were told the flight was cancelled. They recommended getting the Clipper, the passenger ferry at 11:30am, if we needed to be sure to be in Seattle that day as they did not know when the problem would be fixed. I called them and asked for compensation for the appointment at 1pm that has a late cancellation fee that I would miss and therefore be out $160 USD (not to speak of my time on the phone with them, walking over to the Clipper, my having to call the Clipper myself, waiting for the Clipper, and then the 2hr40min ferry ride) and the first person I spoke to said it was "beyond their control". I then spoke to the manager who also kept saying that this tech issue was "beyond their control" and asking me if I wanted a refund on my ticket. In my opinion, which technology company you choose to hire to make your software and maintain it is within a company's control. Technology companies have insurance policies when their software fails. Why is Kenmore passing on this responsibility to their clients? This manager said she would check with upper management and call me back. I will update this review if the service is more reasonable and fair that I've received so far. I find it ironic that Kenmore is based out of Seattle, a tech city, and they still do not acknowledge that when there is an error to their technology, that is encompassed in the operations of their company and not "outside of their control". I recommend just booking on the Clipper and being sure you'll get there on the time you plan, I've always had amazing customer service with the Clipper.

What a wonderful experience! I went with a group of three including me, and there were seven others to fill this aircraft. One person can actually sit up there next to the pilot. This took us around Bellevue, over Lake Union, all the way out to see Golden Gardens beach, and circles around the same way so people sitting on the other side of the plane can see both sides. We went for their 75th anniversary sale and it was absolutely worth it. Would highly suggest to friends and family. The most surprising part of this is the landing, I thought it would be rough but it was smoother than a plane landing on the ground.

I couldn't stop being amazed during the entire flight. Prior to the flight, the pilot chatted with us and took us through the safety lecture; he was playful, real, and respectful about it all at once!! Ended up having to cancel our original honeymoon so we went to Seattle and chose to do this touristy activity that we always wanted to do while living there. The Seattle Tour on the seaplane was overall enjoyable but the pilot was totally impersonal, unenthused and did not add anything to the whole experience. I was thankful there was a recorded narration to help us make the most of the experience. Wouldn't book this experience again.

I have flown from Seatac to Friday Harbor for years with Kenmore Air. They are fantastic! Recently our flight was early arriving in Friday Harbor and we were the last flight of the day. Our ride didnt get our message about the flight arriving early. So we were waiting outside the terminal and (I think her name was Denise) came outside and asked if we needed a ride. We explained that our friends were just a little late. Denise refused to leave us alone at the airport even though she was off work. She put us in HER car and drove us home. Really, not kidding....where else do you get that kind of service..

The SLU tour is worth it. I am a Seattlite and enjoyed looking at the city from above. All pasangers have a wondow so you will have a good view for sure.

Super fun and easy way to travel. The flight to Victoria is 30-45 mins. The staff was nice even though they were stesssed experiencing a plumbing issue (with the building not a plane). They sort you based on weight which can be embarrassing but it is for safety. Oh by the way, they ask you to get there super early and in our experience 45 mins was too early. However there’s a starbucks up the street. Parking: kemore will give you a pass if you ask to park in their lot.

Flight service is good, but the boarding area compared to the service HarborAir offers is surely a step (or two) down. Only way to get a coffee for the wait now is to walk 5m to a Starbucks in a nearby building. Offering some complimentary coffee / snacks when you pay hundreds for a 20m flight would not be much...

We were supposed to fly out the weekend of Labor Day but the flight was cancelled at 9 am due to apparent "clouds" and the ceiling being too low. On Labor Day they offered to fly us later in the day at 430 or to take the Clipper. Instead of bumping us to the next flight they instead offered a flight at EOD missing out on our whole day of vacation. The customer service was not up to par and we ended up missing our trip even though it turned out to be a beautiful sunny day in seattle and victoria. Very disappointed. Visited September 2016

I am a frequent user of Kenmore Air and am generally very happy with the service. Reservations are easy, either telephonically or online. The staff are all very friendly. Given that seaplane flights are more susceptible to weather-related delays/cancellations, they are very good about keeping you informed about flight status, etc. If it looks like they won't be able to fly, they will switch you over to their land-based aircraft out of Boeing Field. One annoyance, however -- I don't know who does their scheduling, but especially during the high season, I can wait through 2-3 landings/departures of partially filled aircraft up in Friday Harbor before mine arrives. This can all be within a 15 minute timeframe! Despite this occasional annoyance, there is nothing better than traveling by seaplane and Kenmore Air does it right!

Our flight out was fantastic, the return was far from this. The day before our departure we were told our flight would be diverted to Lake Washington and a shuttle would be there upon our arrival to take us back to Lake Union (due to fantastic weather causing more boats on the lake). The flights leaving Friday Harbor was 20 minutes late, and we are stilling sitting on the shuttle as I type, waiting to leave Lake Washington. We were to be back in Lake Union at 4pm. It is now 4:43pm and we still have not left Lake Washington. Extremely disappointed as we had a meeting that we should have had plenty of time to get to, had we been on time.

My family has been flying Kenmore Air for the last 20 years to Roche Harbor and the rest of the San Juan Islands. The pilots and employees have always been kind and easy to work with. It has always been an exciting / relaxing treat to fly through the beautiful San Juan Islands with this company. In February of this year, my wife and I booked our families flights for the 4th of July Holiday into Roche Harbor (departing the Kenmore location on July 3rd). This flight was booked 5 months in advance, and involved family flying to Seattle from Southern California to make this flight. The day of the flight we had poor weather. We stood outside for 2 hours during a weather delay before my brother went inside to check on the delay. The response from the employee at the front was "Oh thank you for reminding me - your flight has been cancelled."... I completely, totally understand (and appreciate) a private company making the safe choice for their customers, losing the money from the cancelled flights, and choosing to make that call due to the weather. However, my reason for the one-star rating is this: There was zero follow-up, zero willingness to help accommodate for another flight, zero remorse to any customers (one employee told one family "can't you just go next year?"). No vouchers offered, no apologies, no phone call, no email. I am rarely someone that complains and tries to go-with-the-flow as I understand most companies mean well and respect their customers. However, this is simply terrible customer service. If you book a flight with Kenmore Air, make sure you have alternative means to get to your destination. You will not be accommodated if something goes wrong in any way with your reservation.

The only way to get to the San Juan Islands! Take off, landing, and the flight itself are really smooth plus all the pilots are really friendly people. The flight is around 40 minutes to any of the islands. I would fly with them again when I come back to visit the San Juan Islands. Thanks for a great experience.

Do you have to have SO many flights during the day? Non stop flights noise all day, one cannot relax or have a peaceful day off because the noise is there, all day long, of flights all day long. can't even get one quiet relaxing day. it's driving me crazy, i pay alot to live in this location & to have to the view i have. if i knew that your company would so noisy & completely disturbing, i prob would not have moved here. there's no point in living in a beautiful place if you can't enjoy the quiet & relax.

I did a Seattle city tour flight with my friend and have to say it was one of the best experiences in my life! I've never been in a float plane so that was a check box for me. The terminal and operations are a neat set up too. Kyle, Alex, our pilot on the 530pm tour and everyone involved were very nice, helpful and excellent at their customer/guest service! We took a boat plane out of Lake Union up to the San Juan islands. It was awesome from start to finish. Taking a boat plane should be on everyones must do list. Check-in was a breeze, the lobby was comfortable. Plane left on time. Very smooth take off and landing. I sat in the "far back" of the plane in the third row and have never had so much space on a plane. It was smooth flying, even got some reading done from their magazine on board. Highly recommend!
