I am giving Costco car rental service a 2 star because when I called Costco for help to book a car (Avis) they were going to charge me $40 more than the online price for the same car and service. So don’t use the hep number I guess.
Avis runaround and no help. I booked an Avis car in Princeton NJ via Costco for several days. Local agent refused to honor Costco extra driver benefit. Contacted Costco Avis agent and Avis Customer Support who said they could not help.
Costco Travel is the best way to book your vacations. I love it so much, I decided to work there. Now every day is like a vacation.
Was quite upbeat on their policies & package, until recently where in one our trip, an advertised a tour credit they offered to us, was unfulfilled/cancelled/unavailable by vendor. After the trip Costco refused to offer a full refund, in spite of no fault of our own. Would probably avoid costco travel given this crummy experience dealing with them for many months only to be denied full credit for their tour operators fault. :(
I can't blame Costco Travel...only my local Enterprise Rent a Car. I booked a 4WD/AWD for a Thanksgiving trip and 15 minutes before they were to pick me up, they called and said they DID NOT have one available. Fortunately, the weather was okay and didn't really need it. If that wasn't the case, I would have had to pay for hotel reservations I couldn't use and I couldn't spend Thanksgiving with my family. Thanks so much Roseburg, OR Enterprise!
This is primarily a work location not intended for the public. If you are interested in trav information or services it is best to call Costco Travel Directly, as there is not face to face service or travel booking here. When speaking to them by phone they are very professional and fast and can book any kind of trip you are looking for, as they are all local licensed travel agents.
Wonderful cafeteria
Just doing my job
I loved how easy and reasonably priced everything was. The exclusive perks are awesome! I will continue to use them.
My experiences with auto rental and domestic hotel bookings have been fabulous. Best rates I could find in both categories compared to other companies offering discounts with their programs.
My agent has been the best comrade I had in getting me affable rates for my travels. I always look forward for their promos that are very beneficial for big travelers like me. It’s always a relief to have them as my travel buddy.
My recent experience with Costco travel is very frustrating. Being a loyal customer for the last 12 years, I felt disappointed by the pathetic service and support they provided for my latest trip to Cancun. Costco travel has aweful partners for airline and resorts who only aim to mint money from their loyal customers by not helping them in case of delayed flight , causing cancellation of the trip. I lost money without my fault as the flight got delayed leading to cancellation of the whole trip. Lost money, kids and family could not go on spring break to Cancun. I will not use Costco travel in future.????
Great service and wonderful experience. A great way to rent a vehicle! Thank you
Great travel agency offering really good value package holidays. Great service for members
Super nice place to work.
Love the atmosphere love to work here
I dont know about the vacation packages, but I do know if you are looking for a job that will bend you over and pound you look no further . My wife got fired for spending a week in the hospital with our sick son. We were about to move south so she could be closer to her work. We dodged a bullet there. I just hope whoever was responsible for this that your children get sick and you can experience spending your life in and out of hospitals.
Best prices and deals when going with Costco travel.
Well, I work for Costco Travel, almost 14 years!! I love my job and hey... who doesn't like to travel!?? We're growing almost too fast for comfort... Lately we've been extremely busy (Cruise Department) because I think the WORD is out... cruising is not just for the retired and folks with money. There is something for everyone and you can trust that Costco will get you great rates/benefits and our Member Service is through the roof, we WORK hard for each member. Ps- never call directly after a major holiday (when we've been closed) especially for something minor. We will have a tremendous hold time!
Office of Costco travel.
A MOTHER’S WORST NIGHTMARE! Read this if you plan on using child care at a resort booked by Costco! According to their website, I should choose Costco travel as they provide, “The value you want with the quality you expect.” Do you expect your 4 year old to be safe if you put him in the kids club for a few hours? I thought my son would be safe until I discovered he was missing. Our family was in Cancun for 5 nights with another family, Crown Paradise Club (booked via Costco). The morning of our first full day, after we ate breakfast, my husband, daughter (7), son (4), and I headed to the kids club so my husband and I could go set up our excursion and go to the adult pool for an hour or so. When filling out the kids club registration form, there was a box that asked “place in case of emergency?” I asked what that meant, and the check in lady said to write down where we would be. I said, “can’t you call me?” She said they were not allowed to use the phone. I thought that was strange and said we might be in several places, excursion desk or adult pool. This didn’t settle well with me. When we went into the kids club, I noticed only three staff members, a few parents, and there were between 30-40 kids. It was a free for all, no set up curriculum, the kids just had to find stuff to do on their own. Most of the kids appeared to be bored. My son and daughter sat down to watch the movie Cars. I told my son that we were just going to be gone about an hour and a half and to ask a teacher if he needed anything. I asked my daughter to keep an eye on him. About 20 min into our adult pool time (maybe an hour total), our friend went back to check on all of the kids (ours and her 7 and 5 year olds). She came back to the pool saying, “We have to go, and we have to go now. Jackson is missing.” I immediately went to the kids club asking where my son was, and the lady at the gate asked me to provide his name and our room number (as if she had no idea he was missing). When I saw my daughter, she was in tears and was so scared for her lost brother. The lady at the front desk kept checking people in. There was no sense of urgency or emergency to this situation. A few minutes later, a security guard came to me in the kids club, and explained that the resort security was alerted and looking for my son. About 15 min into the search, he was found and brought back to me safely. It turns out, that my son walked right through the unattended kids club gate and roamed the resort by himself. He ended up on the beach, in the water, and the lifeguard picked him up because he was playing and swimming (in regular clothes) in the unsafe/undertow area of the beach. The security guards found him with the life guard. They radioed the security guards that I was with, and brought him to me. The general manager seemed to be very apologetic. He explained that there was an emergency code for situations like this, but that it was not used in this case. He said that he would take care of anything we need. I was just relieved to have our son back in my arms. During a phone conversation with the general manager a few days into our stay, he explained that this was a human mistake, and would be happy to give us a free upgrade if we would want to come back another time. I explained that we made the best of the remainder of our trip, but due to the child care situation, it was likely we wouldn’t come back. I was told by the general manager that the resort and the kids club took account in a report format of what happened. I was not given an opportunity to review this report. While on our trip, I filed an incident report, through the Costco desk (BDTravel). I have not heard anything back from Costco. This resort failed to keep my child safe in the kids club. In addition, Costco did not do their due diligence with respect to the child care at this resort. For the 4-6 year old age group, this kids club was not structured enough, and not safe, in my opinion. I truly hope no more children go missing and no more families experience what we went through that morning.
Best for all your needs
Very strict on clock in times and attendance. If you have any pre-existing health conditions, explain it to your supervisors and you managers-bring in as much documentation as you need, otherwise it is an alright place to work. Not as many paid holidays off and you won't make as much money in the warehouse as you do here. It's a generally alright job with nice benefits, but you can make more money and have far more paid days off that aren't included as holidays elsewhere, as stated above. Experienced some of the worst allergies ever while working there (dusty air vents and everybody always complained about it). The management is hard to talk with. Just a heads up if you are going to apply there: don't sign write up sheets as you legally do not need to, and you can refuse at any time. As call centers are: they expect you at work even when weather is highly dangerous to drive in (snow storm was terrible last year) they didn't seem so keen about the welfare of their employees so if you have family needs and absolutely cannot make it in safely, immediately look into FMLA leave when you are hired on. None of what I said is any part of slander or goes in any harm of any contracts I signed as I waited the correct amount of time to discuss it. This whole review is in compliance with Google standards as well.
Unbeatable prices, extraordinary added values, exceptional customer service. What more is there to say?!
I love my job!
No follow up. I'd expected a call back after I told her what we were looking for..
What can I say?
THE WORSE

I give 10 all around company Customer Service, products Travel on and on Thank you ,from one happy customer
Great value accompanied by great customer service
It's got a nice parking lot, with ample bench opportunities for hanging out at.
Cosco did not tell us all what we needed to rent a car so we where left standed in Boise ID
Lovely corporate building with a cafe built. It has a functional parking space as well for handicap too.
My partner and I booked through Costco travel for the first time and at this point definitely want to get the message out to everyone "Beware". We booked several months in advance a trip from PDX to Hawaii. At the time we felt like booking through Costco would not only be convenient but would save us money. We could not have been more wrong. The issue started 3 weeks before our trip and noticed that our seats had been changed and we were placed in the very back of the plane against the bathroom wall not only on one flight but both departure and arrival flight. These seats have very little to no recline, hope your social because you'll get to meet everyone on the plane as they wait in line for the restroom on a 6 hour flight, maybe you can give the passenger in front of you a good head massage as they very well may be reclining in your lap. We were told from Costco travel that they had nothing to do with our seat change and believe this to be true but from our perception we were the lucky chosen ones because we booked through Costco Travel. This got me to doing some research on cost and found that if we would have booked the exact same package ourselves it would have been 400.00 dollars cheaper than going through Costco. I wonder if Alaska would treat direct Alaska customers better than ones booked through Costco. I feel like Costco Travel should made an effort to help us fix the seats by the bathroom but all we got was a blame game. I really felt like we were treated as if we came from the bottom of the barrel simply because we chose to book through Costco and definitely will take the extra step next time and hopefully avoid this. Beware! with Costco
