Great views of LOTW and kenora

Everything was fantastic about this cruise. We took the sunset edition. The history provided over the PA system made the cruise especially interesting though they didn't turn the volume loud enough till the last 2 minutes (btw: I am NOT hearing impaired). We did not have a meal so I can't comment on the food.

If you go on the cruise, you definitely want to reserve a table and pay for the meal. When we went it was very very hot and the only part of the boat that is air conditioned is the dining tables. The tables on top are lovely to sit and watch the view but it can be difficult to hear the tour guide and when we went no tables were available due to the crowds. It was a nice experience but could have been more enjoyable if we had a dining table/air conditioning.

Thoroughly enjoyed the food and the tour. Highly recommended. And be sure to get the meal, then you get unlimited food and drink and an air conditioned cabin.

I will recommend this cruise to all. Its amazing. The Cruise is nice, staff is very friendly, Help is immediately available. Food quality and taste is up to expectations. You can click pictures with aeroplanes and there is a nice restaurant across the street. Two suggestions; Increase volume on speakers or speak loudly. There is no point of guided tour if people can't listen to interesting facts and stories. Please have dedicated place for families with Children to sit, pressure horn is not good for their ears.

A really nice way to spend 2 hours on the lake learning Kenora and lake trivia. The kids loved it. Food was very salty, but otherwise good.

Great experience. I think it's a "must do" when visiting Kenora. Lots of interesting information during the excursion, from the tour guide although the volume was very low at some parts. The food (if you go for the diner ) was tasty, portions were big and the service was nice. Worth the money for two full hours. Welcoming and friendly staff aboard the ship.

This 3hr cruise on Lake of the Woods, Kenora, is relaxing and informative with excellent commentary about the many islands, homes, vip's and the long history of this historic and beautiful area. Meals including buffet dinners are available on some cruises and make this an unforgettable tourist attraction. Recommended for all those who love natural beauty, clean waters, eagles, and much more

Not bad cruise, but not enough space to all guests on the upper deck and no A/C on the lower deck, so for seniors it was hard.

It was a great time for me and my family. Even though it was a little dreary outside the local folk lore and stories told by the captain (pre-recorded) kept us entertained. The food looked amazing and reasonably priced. The one draw back keeping this review from getting 5 starts is the lower deck and out side chairs. Both items are old or at least appear to be old and well weathered. If the boat had been full and we were forced to sit in the lower deck I wouldn't be writing a warm review. The outside seats were plentiful but very sun faded and rough looking. Two small detractors from an otherwise entertaining boat ride.

I took my Church youth group on the boat as part of our study on creation, this was a great experience for them as we floated along seeing some amazing scenery and experiencing God's handiwork. Great facility very clean and reasonable pricing for lunch!

Such a great time. If you like history this is the cruise for you. Super friendly staff that actually can hold a conversation. Drinks are reasonably priced and the cruise is just long enough.... Bathrooms and you can even smoke on the poop deck...least that's what I called it. Great time had for sure. It's worth the 30+ per person.

Drove all the way out from MB to go for dinner, tried booking online but as we dont have a credit card we couldnt pay. Either way, they didnt sail that day, even though it was on the schedule. They had nothing posted at the docks either to explain if they were or not, waited in the parking lot for 45 minutes and saw nothing. Pretty disappointed after there was ads everywhere for the "last chance" of the summer

Was a relaxing yet interesting tour around a part of the Lake of the Woods. There were a lot very nice lakeside homes, cabins & even a castle! The history of the region added to the experience. Would recommend it to anyone visiting the area who wants to do & see things out of the ordinary.

This was my second time aboard the the MS Kenora and while I would have loved for the weather to cooperate and have sunny skies, the ride did not disappoint. The staff were so kind and so friendly. The prices for drinks are affordable and reasonable. Great views. Definitely recommended!

My wife and I celebrated our 13th wedding anniversary on this boat, and we highly recommend the "million dollar cruise." The brunch is quite good, and the ship is licensed as well. The pre-recorded audio tour is very interesting, and the captain will also point out a few sights along the way. Great way to spend an afternoon.

We have taken this cruise several times over the last few years. It's enjoyable every time. If the weather is good you can go on the top deck for the best view. If it's rainy or cool, you can remain inside in comfort and watch from the large windows. We usually reserve a meal when we take the cruise. The food has always been good. The captain gives a running commentary of the history and the names of some of the famous current and past residents of some of the many islands on the lake. Kenora is a fun getaway spot from the city and this cruise has always been a big part of the experience for us. The co-ordinates for the marina parking lot, for a GPS or map program are: 49.76691 N, 94.49217 W (Decimal), --or-- 49° 46' 0.88" N 94° 29' 31.81" W (Degrees, Minutes, Seconds )

I'm from out of province so I called them for information about prices and they gave me a price .I asked if the price they gave me covered the dinner and the cruse. I was told yes so I drove the 250km trip payed for the tickets and then was informed that the food was over and above what I payed..ended up getting a refund and driving back home and enjoyed our anniversary at a different place

Definitely a highlight for a trip to Kenora. The captain was knowledgeable. Dinner (the schnitzel) was great. Our server was very nice and helpful. The scenery was spectacular.

Went for the cruise few times Before , so this time tried the dinner cruise- so the buffet was amazing. The only issue we had was the air conditioning was turned off during the middle of the trip, the boat was full& it was a hot evening & nearly chocked us off, being the top was filled like anything! After making the reservation, driving from Winnipeg to there, also spending more than 100$ just for food . We felt like we were in a hot tub- improvise customer service when u r on full capacity!!!! Now I have to think twice before making another trip to MS Kenora again... One Bad Experience will make customers go away, so won’t realize how many will u be loosing in a season? When My wife looked at the thermostat which showed 85F at that time- Ac turned off. Ac was Turned on Again before 15 minutes at the end... Rest was Good.Also We had to call them to check if our Dinner was reserved or not.. No confirmation mails whatsoever- the explanation was internet was Down- then No calls?Busy season & Taking people for Granted? So Disappointed in the service.Boat was Also overcrowded for the comfort.

We did not really enjoy our experience on the cruise this summer. Ticket prices are very high for such a low quality experience. There were too many people on the boat and areas way over crowded to enjoy experience. We expected the food to taste very good but in fact it was not very good at all and way overpriced. Customer satisfaction not guaranteed no refunds no exchanges lol
