Booking - They respond pretty quick and communication was prompt.Its a family run business with personal touch. Tour - I am really glad that I met Joy three weeks back on the hiking tour.We took a tour to lake Edith,Annette,Maligne Canyon and hiked Valley of five lakes. She was very knowledgeable.She explained about the trails and a little bit of history .She also had lots of information about the trails and vegetation on the trails. I was really glad that I took a tour with them because it was very personalized based on my interests .And she is one of the local people with real information about the Jasper unlike big companies with trained people and book data.She was kind and friendly. I highly recommend them.I am planning to go back for ice walk tours with them next winter.

We did a private climbing tour with our family (kids aged 12-17). Sean and Joy were fantastic guides! They are extremely skilled and knowledgeable climbers themselves and ensured everyone had a great time, catering to our varied climbing abilities. They are safety oriented and even taught us climbing techniques to improve our skills. Being local, they have a wealth of knowledge about the area (wildlife and other places to go). I would highly recommend this company for any tours.

I did the AST 1 course with Sean and Joy. It was a very well prepared and informative course, I feel I learned a lot and have increased confidence with reading snow conditions and hazards. As well as knowing where to look for the important information I need to make smart decisions. The other big sell for me was doing it on snowshoes, it kept the group together and more opportunity to pick Sean's brain. Thank you very much.

Had a very wonderful ice walk through Maligne Canyon and got to learn some really cool facts. I am so happy I chose to do the tour with Sean otherwise I would have missed some really cool hidden gems in the canyon such as the grotto. Loved meeting Sean and Joy, and of course their pup Suka. I will be recommending them to my friends and will be looking into more tours in the summer with them.

We did the 3hr Maligne Canyon ice walk tour. The tour guide, Sean and Joy, were amazing. They are very friendly, and super informative about the canyon, always making sure the trail/path is save for us to walk on. Really recommend booking with them if you are looking for some winter activities around Jasper, especially the maligne canyon ice walk.

My trip to Jasper was a dream come true and it’s all thanks to Jasper Hikes & Tours. I hit lots of walls early in my planning. I only had three days to enjoy everything and because of my timing (early November) and the fact I was a solo traveler, a lot of other groups were closed for the winter or wouldn’t take 1 person on a tour. I almost cancelled my trip all together since I couldn’t find anyone to guide me through all the things I wanted to do. Luckily I found Jasper Hikes & Tours. Sean went out of his way to check all the things off my list, and went the extra mile to fulfill my wish of seeing the stars in Jasper’s night sky. He has awesome knowledge about the town and the sites, is a great conversationalist, and despite the ice and the fact I was a female solo traveler, I was never worried about my safety. I will definitely be coming back one day to enjoy the summer in Jasper and will definitely be going with Jasper Hikes & Tours again!

They'll set you up with an Amazing tour and show you some of the magic that Jasper & it's Maligne Canyon can offer . When Teresa & I booked our tour, we were impressed with Sean getting in touch with us to answer our questions so quickly. We could tell that they really wanted us to enjoy ourselves. From the moment that Joy ( and Suki) picked us up, we knew we were going to have good time. The knowledge that Joy has about the canyon, it's history, it's geology, it's plant life and, it's wildlife is extensive to say the least. Going on this tour , with Joy & Suki was like having a friend take you on a fun walk and show you some very cool stuff about Maligne Canyon. The only regret that we have is that we can only give Sean, Joy & Suki 5 stars out of 5 .... they really deserve a 7 out of 5 !!! ................Thanks Again Joy, Sean & Suki . This tour exceeded our expectations and I can't recommend Jasper Hikes & Tours highly enough. If you're in any doubt about this trip, it's worth it - book it! My friend and I did the 8am Maligne Canyon ice walk in early Dec 2019. Booking was fine, Sean got back to me about a query super quickly, and Joy picked us up promptly on the morning. We were over the moon that Suka the dog joined the hike too :D So friendly, and she kept our feet warm on the bus ride to the canyon! (they check if you're OK with a dogs before hand, which is great. And if not preferable, then doggo doesn't join, no problem) Joy provided lots of interesting information about the canyon along the way and there were so many unique spots of interest as we descended on the hike, finally reaching down onto the canyon floor itself. Great experience and Joy was such a fantastic guide. I don't think I saw her without a smile!

We highly recommend Jasper Hikes and Tours. Joy and Sean were a pleasure to deal with right from the moment we made our initial enquiries, so it was an easy decision for us to book the Cavell Meadows Trail with them. Joy was our guide for the day and we thoroughly enjoyed the hike, not only for the incredible scenery but also Joy’s great company and knowledge of the area. Our lunch was organised for us as an optional extra, catered by Patricia St Deli (thanks Glen!), which was super convenient and very tasty! Joy and Sean not only care deeply for our environment, but are super professional and really friendly. Highly recommend!

My partner and I booked Jasper Hikes and Tours for a private Canada Day themed guided hike on July 4 and it was fantastic! We were a little nervous how this would work with CoVID-19 measures, but Sean (and Suka!) were very professional and followed all AHS regulations to keep everyone safe, including maintaining an appropriate distance, santizing his hands before and after using our camera to take pictures of us, and mandating masks if we used their shuttle. We encountered some trouble with the highway on the way into Jasper and our travel plans were a bit delayed, but Joy and Sean were in communication with us every step of the way and were extremely nimble and accomodating. Besides that, Sean was a wealth of knowledge about both the history of Jasper as well as the flora and fauna we encountered on the hike. We learned so much and had such a nice morning. We will definitely use this company the next time we are in Jasper.

Best guide ever! We booked the day of and they had room for us. Our guide, Sean, was amazing. We did the ice walk through Maligned Canyon. He knows the area really well, adding interesting information along the way to keep us engaged. Sean knows how to adapt to the group, making sure everyone feels safe. Awesome experience!

Sean and Joy are super professional and great to be around. Our tour was very COVID friendly so don't be dissuaded. Had a great time and would recommend using their company to navigate the canyon. Without using a great guide, we would have missed out on some really cool sites and places.
